So apparently our new interviewer Heather was being selfish backstage before the event. I honestly don’t care but I gave her a slap on the wrist as it meant I got to touch her. Then I gathered everyone around and repeated my hardline message from last month.

 

"If you don’t like it here then leave. No one will miss you. There’s the door."

 

Again, no one moved.

As is customary, I open the show. As is also customary, I get barely three words out before someone storms to the ring to interrupt me. This time it’s the former champion Seth Whitehead. He’s pissed off because I didn’t book a title rematch last month. Boo f*cking hoo.

 

“You better wipe that smirk off your face, Odswald. Or I’ll knock it off. I came here to be the champion of OWC and now you’re in my way. Anders Thunder I’ll be coming for you. Odswald, I’ll see you tonight.”

 

I tear up the match card. Looks like I’m facing Seth Whitehead.

We see newcomer Heather B enter the ring to cat-calls and wolf whistles. She brings out Hurakan who promises an exciting match with Fantasma. Good, because his last two have been sh*t. As has this interview.

Hurakan vs El Hijo Del Fantasma

Flips and rolls. Ducks and dives. The OWC crowd aren’t used to lucha-libre but they respond well enough. Maybe they’ll get into it. Hurakan and Fantasma did indeed bring the action and finish the tidy match with a hurricanrana counter into a sit-out powerbomb. That’s Hurakan’s third victory in OWC and his best yet.

Seth Whitehead vs Silas Odswald

I don’t know why Seth’s angry with me. I didn’t know he’d need a title rematch. I didn’t think he’d lose the belt in the first place quite frankly. He is mad as hell though and kicks my ass all over the ring. I manage to catch my breath for a moment after raking him in the eyes (stay in school, kids) and follow up with a shot to the bread-basket. It’s all delaying the inevitable though as Seth rallies and hits the Butterfly Powerbomb for the win.

Rating: E+

 

 

Seth still looks furious as he stands over my crumpled form. He slowly removes the bandana that was forced upon him on the first OWC show and suddenly this looks serious. Whitehead bends down over me and forceably rams the banadana down my throat.

OWC Heavyweight Championship

Anders Thunder (w/ Julie Forletta) vs Mad Dog Mortimer

Aw man, why is this the main event? No one in their right mind would put this on last… damn it. It’s as bad as it sounds. Thunder with no talent and Mortimer with no knees stagger clumsily around the ring swinging wildly at one another. Mad Dog can ill afford to lose any more teeth but there he goes, fists wailing. Half the crowd have left by the time Anders fells Mort with a big boot and cups his hand to his ear. There’s barely a murmur. Moodily, Thunder hits the HUGE LEGDROP and this one is mercifully over. The champ sulks all the way to the back.

Thunder smirks and says he’ll consider it, after all, he calls the shots around here now. This is too much for me. I’m supposed to be running this company. But, honestly, there’s a whole world out there. Heather retreats as Martyr stalks towards her. He brings the chainsaw high above his head and she throws herself out of the ring and runs to the back. Kikuchi does his best to defend himself and attempt some kind of offence but Martyr is incensed and delivers two huge Powerbombs before hitting the Judgement Slam for the three. Several times he shouts abuse across at Julie Forletta. Meanwhile Lucas Danger and I are having our own little battle… oh no… Lucas is wasted again. I thought he was going to try and stop. This is going to go down well. Once everyone realises that Danger is strung out on paint stripper the match is rushed to the finish. So backstage was eventful after the show. Seth Whitehead and Anders Thunder were demanding I fire Lucas Danger there and then. Lucas seemed too wasted to notice but his glazed eyes flickered in recognition as I told him how worthless he is. Whatever astral plane he's currently riding, he'll enjoy his fine when he comes back down. He’s lucky to still have a job. They all are. Then Mort came in with a lump on his head and a bruised eye socket. I was expecting a complaint about the wreckless Leopard King but instead he took a shot at new boy Phobia calling him clumsy. The guy hasn’t even wrestled yet! I think Mad Dog’s taken one too many chairshots to the head. I’d like to see him even attempt to do what Phobia does. Maybe we will if that awkward Moonsault was anything to go by.
