WWF 1991: I Don't Have a Catchy Name

WWF Intercontinental Championship Match

Mr. Perfect © vs. The Big Boss Man

Comments: I hope this loss propels Perfect up the card. somehow people forget loses can do that as much as a win.

You're right, this is often overlooked by fans. I see people doing it all the time on message boards and reddit. Thanks for the predictions and comments WilburTrey!

WWF Championship vs. Career Match

"Macho King" Randy Savage w/ "Senasational" Queen Sherri

Comments: Surely Savage isn’t retiring to commentary or something right?

Now that would be stupid! Thanks for the predictions and comments Jaysin!

Thanks for predicting Element!

Can I just take a moment to come out of the shadows and say that this has been truly exceptional work to date? Seriously, huge kudos for what you’ve done thus far! Lots of logic and some neat twists on what we’re used to with diaries from this period (I’ve NEVER seen anyone turn Dino Bravo before! And to use it as the catalyst for forming the Natural Disasters? Good stuff)

Thanks a ton Ritchardo! It means so much to get comments like this when you put so much work into something. And it is work! I highly recommend it to anyone who has the time and inclination though, since it really forces you to play honestly and mix things up a bit.

Anyway, predictions:

"Macho King" Randy Savage w/ "Senasational" Queen Sherri

Comments: I think the Warrior would be better suited to his crusade against the jobbers on the card by working the undercard a little... Savage is more reliable and stable. It won’t be clean but Savage FTW.

Oh yeah, the Warrior really hates the jobbers man. He never shuts up about it!

Also, just wanted to say that I'm making good progress on Wrestlemania, having finished the two biggest matches on the card, and hope to have it posted tomorrow. Thanks again to everyone who commented/predicted and to anyone else following along otherwise! It's truly appreciated!

<p>Looks like I won't actually get Wrestlemania 7 posted today after all. Even though it's my birthday, I thought I would have enough free time to finish the last couple matches, do my final read through and post, but it just didn't work out. The show is done though and I've already double checked my spelling and grammar. I just like to do one final read through from start to finish to make sure it "flows" well, and I'm just not gonna have the time to get around to it by a reasonable hour. </p><p> </p><p>

Now, my plan is to post Wrestlemania 7 tomorrow and post both weeks 1 and 2 of April TV on Wednesday. This will keep me on my usual "schedule" of Week 3 on Thursday and Week 4 on Friday, with the next PPV posted on Monday. </p><p> </p><p>

I know it's probably pointless to post this little update, since I'm sure no one is so invested in this that they need to know ahead of time if a post is gonna be a day late. I'm just the kinda guy that likes to keep my word if at all possible, even if it's not really "important".</p><p> </p><p>

Thanks for reading guys!</p>

WWF Heavyweight Championship Match

"Macho King" Randy Savage w/ "Sensational" Queen Sherri © vs. Jake "The Snake" Roberts

Comments: The real feud here is Jake vs. Steamboat this is just a filler match to give Savage a win against a believable opponent and keep Jake a threat for steamboat.

The Final Battle?

Hulk Hogan vs. Sgt. Slaughter

**If Hulk Hogan wins, Sgt. Slaughter must leave the WWF. If Sgt. Slaughter wins, Hulk Hogan must salute the Iraqi flag and pledge his allegiance to Saddam Hussein**

Comments: I think Hogan wins here but even if he doesn't there is no way on this earth he salutes the Iraqi flag. So if he losses the masked man attacks him before he is forced to salute.

WWF Intercontinental Championship Match

The Big Boss Man © vs. Kamala w/ Slick

Comments:No way he losses the strap this fast

Match for the vacant WWF Tag Team Championship

The New Foundation(Neidhart & Owen) vs. "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Sid

Comments: The tag belts are a good way to keep Ted and Sid tied up and out of the main story-lines until needed. Also Owen and Neidhart are good babyface chasers here.

Grudge Match

Terry Funk w/ Bobby Heenan vs. Kevin Von Erich

Comments: I think I pointed out I was a Von Erich mark earlier yes lol. I love the Funkster too, but growing up in Texas even during the attitude era you were taught to love the Von Erich's

Singles Match

The Undertaker w/ Paul Bearer vs. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper

Comments: Are the forces from above in the urn is that why the Warrior stopped? I think so! If so he attacks the Hot Rod here to help the undertaker stay hot.

Singles Match

Mr. Perfect w/ Bobby Heenan vs. Bret Hart DRAW

Comments:I loved when these two went at it in real life and I want both to do well in this diary because you are presenting it so well and they are two of my all time favorites.

Bonus Question(s)

Will the masked man make an appearance? If yes, will his identity be revealed? If yes, who will it be?

Answer(s): Yes, Yes, this should be the time that the Jet Flying, Wheeling Dealing, Son of a Gun makes his way to WWF and if that is the case The Nature Boy attacking and setting up a fued with Hulk is what the world wanted and should have had. (Ummm Ric Flair hope that was obvious :D)

What a shock reveal!

Hopefully you liked it. Or at least didn't hate it! Thanks for reading Jaysin!

Wow, I absolutely loved the red herrings throughout the show! I'm curious and stoked to find out about Steamboat's motivations. Feed me more!

Oh, there's definitely more coming! I've just been a little busy IRL lately and I'm running a couple days behind. Thanks for reading and for the kind words!

PS. I wonder if anyone noticed that Steamboat was in the group of wrestlers that ran down to check on Hogan after the masked man first attacked at WM7?

While I like Ricky Steamboat as the mystery man, IRL, when Ricky Steamboat proposed turning heel, Pat Patterson basically said that Ricky was so popular that he could have dismembered Hogan with a chainsaw and the fans would have cheered for him...

Interesting to see how this plays out...

Thanks for reading Lord Byron. I truly appreciate it!

I hadn't heard the part about the chainsaw, but I did read that Steamboat wanted to turn heel and Patterson wouldn't go for it. In fact, Steamboat wanting to turn heel and being refused was pretty much my inspiration for starting this diary.

Amazing Show. I loved the twists and turns. I look forward to what happens next!

Thanks for reading and for the kind words WilburTrey!

<hr>

*****I just wanted to let everyone know, that although SNME was a day late and I didn't post the first week of May TV yesterday like I normally would the day after a PPV, that this dynasty is far from over! My free time's just gotten away from me a little bit these past few days, and I'm running behind. Normally I post shows on a "schedule", since it helps me to not get too overwhelmed. That normal schedule would be as follows:

Week 1 TV - Tuesday

Week 2 TV - Wednesday

Week 3 TV - Thursday

Week 4 TV and PPV Predictions Card - Friday

PPV - The following Monday

However, since I'm already way off that schedule, I'm gonna hold off on the first week of May TV until my regularly scheduled day of Tuesday. This will allow me to get a little further ahead on writing my future shows, which will help to lower the chances of more delays later on. Right now, I've got most of my major matches planned through about July 1991. With these few extra days, I hope to increase that until about November 1991. Also, I'm hoping to get a few shows done ahead of time, since I've pretty much been posting as I book in-game, which is okay but not ideal.

Thanks for understanding and I look forward to continuing this dynasty on Tuesday of next week!*****
