<p>I know he’s “older”, but Martel is such a good hand to have on deck. He is a solid, underrated in ring competitor, can talk, and a pretty positive influence on the locker room.</p><p> </p><p>

I mean he got an 81 match rating with Animal! That’s impressive. Did they have any chemistry?</p>

<p>Martel can make one hell of a WWF Champion. I say that from experience. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Also, Steamboat totally has breakout character potential. Keep churning out good stuff and <strong>PUSH PILLMAN</strong>.</p>

Yeah, he's great! I can stick him with pretty much anyone and he'll pull at least a 70. In fact his lowest non pre-show match grade of the save was a 70 against jobber Scott Taylor on Prime Time in February. He's averaging a 76 overall so far.

And no, no chemistry notes for the Animal match! Heck, that Animal match was only 3 points off his blindfold match with Jake Roberts that I built to for 2 months.

Martel can make one hell of a WWF Champion. I say that from experience. :D

Oh yeah, I could build Martel up a little bit more and get some great main event matches out of him as champion. And of course with him being a heel, it would be easy to stretch it into a decent length reign.

Also, Steamboat totally has breakout character potential. Keep churning out good stuff and PUSH PILLMAN.

The big Pillman push is definitely coming, but probably not in 1991. Probably!

PS. May Week 4 TV and the Saturday Night's Main Event: Mayhem predictions card should be posted by this afternoon.

I can say that I didn't see the Perfect turn coming. It made sense, but now I fear that the Heenan Family doesn't have a ''crown jewel'' to fight back. But I know you're going to impress me :p

(Jobbing out BOTH Pillman and Demolition though? Huge no-no. Worst show ever 0/10)

I love this era of wrestling. This was my childhood. Very fond memories and although you're putting your spin on it you totally do it justice. Very happy Tito got the win over Honky in the KOTR qualifier, always enjoyed his work. Honky... less so. Loving Heenan and Perfect promoing. Both those guys could really go, Brain especially. Also, great work with the Savage promo. When you read it and hear it in the wrestler's voice you know you've nailed it.

Thanks for reading man, and thanks especially for that last compliment! I'm really happy with how all the Savage promos have turned out so far in this diary, and I've put a lot of time into tweaking them to sound just right. I basically just do what you mentioned, read them over and over until I can hear the specific wrestler's voice in my mind.

Not a fan of Larry Z, but he’s a solid hand to have on any roster

I'm a little indifferent to him myself, but it's kinda like what we were discussing about Rick Martel some posts back. You can stick him in there with pretty much anyone decent and get a good to great match. Plus, my midcard is still a tad thin on quality singles wrestlers right now.
