HEADLINES FROM SEPTEMBER!

x94YZrw.jpgdyDf9n3.jpgv4LzelI.jpgE4QSpDv.jpg

Some more names retired during the month of September, with Japanese Legend Sadaharu Jimbo and American Legen Professor Nero both calling it quits for good, leaving the business entirely. Naonobu Murakami and Leo Davis are the other two names that have retired, calling time on their active careers and looking forward to giving back to the industry they dedicated their youth to.

Hostilities erupted between ECW and IPW owners, Eric Tyler and Gil Thomas respectively, over a series of internet threads claiming that one owner ran their company better. Each man was reasonably infuriated, and claimed it as propaganda for the other promotion. This escalated quickly and now it doesn't look like the two promotions will ever be on good terms again.

It looks as though Cliff Anderson and the rest of CZCW may inevitably be dragged into the West Coast Wars, with GSW owner Brother Grimm taking shots at the company and it's history throughout September. Unfortunately, many on the CZCW roster fell into this trap and went to blows with GSW and it's own talent over social media. It looks as though a full-blown war in the Western United States may be on the brink of happening, in fact it may even be inevitable..

On another note, Total Championship Wrestling (TCW) finally rose back up to being a National contender this past month, with the company seeing a rise in attendance and viewership across the nation. Many think this could be a glorious comeback to take some hits at the Supreme Wrestling Federation (SWF) and United States Pro Wrestling (USPW), though some doubters don't think this wave of momentum will last very long.

In news from the 'Land Down Under', a new promotion on the West Coast of Australia was founded by Lanny Williams and Pete Moriarty, being called Kingdom Class Championship Wrestling (KCCW). The company takes a very traditional approach to wrestling and offers a breather from all of the high-octane action, sports entertainment nonsense and wild brawls that happen all over the continent of Australia. It may not mean much yet, but as Williams & Moriarty put it: 'Someday it'll revolutionize the way you think of wrestling, and make you think this newer flippy shit isn't as cool or fun as you thought it was, and that it's just deadly and nonsensical.'

I sat at my desk in my house. I had been making arrangements and phone calls all day, and it was now 4:30 P.M. I'd been trying to set up deals with various professional film crews so that our footage could be recorded and saved better, and so it would look more professional when it was uploaded to the internet. That may not mean much, but it'll at least alleviate some of the negativity we'd been getting online about our camera angles revealing some flaws in the wrestlers.

This way, we'll at least be able to stand out and hopefully, due to looking more professional, gain traction faster. It'll also put us in direct competition with Rhode Island Pro Wrestling in all areas of production except for the Music Department. That is good. Being in competition with RIPW will make my guys indirectly more valuable to SWF, meaning more of a chance for them to be brought up to the big leagues. I can't use my connections solely to get these guys off the indies, they have to work for it and I have to really think they can make it.

I looked at the clock again. It was 4:45. Shit. I had to announce October's card on the website. I quickly logged on and typed up the announcement.

The Dynamite Express Vs. The Good Ol' Boys

If Good Ol' Boys Win They Get A Title Shot in November!

With Ryan Turner out a good idea to get new tag-team challengers ready. Though I like to think Dynamite Express are still building.

The Rock City Stars Vs. The Heartbreak Express

Makes sense with Turner taking leave to build the tag-team champs up while the rock stars hit the back burner.

Jack Avatar © Vs. Quentin Queen

NEW American Title Match

Champ takes the win.

Philippe LaGrenier Vs. Ford Gumble

I like Philippe but in my own fantasy booking for this Gumble turns on Allen to start a blood feud. Even perhaps costing Allen the title, but not winning it himself. Turning them into a KO & Sami Zayn fight forever/team forever pairing.

Brendan Idol Vs. Austin Smooth

Only point Josh and I are disagreeing with. Austin was the second guy out on the ME of the last show, while Idol got an elimination on Manna and a 1 on 1 display against Riley McManus while being one of the final 3.

Raphael Vs. Arthur Dexter Bradley

Raph is just higher up the food chain at this point.

Harry Allen © Vs. ???

The champ cant lose in a PPV named aftee himself.. or he could.. it is a "nightmare" on Allen street... oh god I hope I havent seales his fate.

<span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>NEW ENGLAND WRESTLING PRESENTS: THE NIGHTMARE ON ALLEN STREET</strong></span></span></p><p>

<span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><em>636 Fans at Generic Venue, New England</em></span></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">I entered the backstage area of tonight's venue and three things became clear to me.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="igUucjf.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/igUucjf.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="NbKrOwB.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NbKrOwB.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

<img alt="BOkf9Tb.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/BOkf9Tb.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

<img alt="bg0BVWV.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bg0BVWV.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">First thing: Brendan Idol and Philippe LaGrenier were conversing amongst themselves. It really seemed like they were having a good time. I saw Idol post nice things on social media about LaGrenier the past couple of days, too, so it really seemed like they had hit off as friends.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Second thing: Rockin' Ryan Turner wasn't anywhere to be seen. Whatever, I thought, I'll chew him out later, as long as he's here before his match is supposed to happen.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Third thing: Gumble was grinning and everyone in the vicinity was pissed. I must've missed it, but my reliable hand Quentin Queen quickly informed me. Gumble pulled a shitty prank on everyone. Queen didn't tell me what, but from what I could gather it involved quite a few people's gear bags and.. piss. Goddammit. And I just helped him deal with Idol last month. I slapped him in the face with fine papers, to which he was not pleased, and went on my way.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Dewey, my trusted lieutenant, gave me the all-ready as roughly 636 people crammed into this building and waited for a nice show of wrestling content. I sent for my tag champs and the Ol' Boys to head out and we got underway.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">OPENING BOUT:</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">THE DYNAMITE EXPRESS VS. THE GOOD OL' BOYS</span></strong></span></p><p>

<span style="font-size:10px;"><em><span style="text-decoration:underline;">IF THE GOOD OL' BOYS WIN THEY RECEIVE A TITLE SHOT NEXT MONTH </span></em></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">This match went just like all the others these two teams had had before. Fitzpaine and Langton dominated early on through sheer size and brute strength, though the Express shot back with masterfully planned technical work and chipped away at the big men they were up against. They managed to keep Langton away from tagging out to Fitzpaine and, in just under 13 minutes, Syd Collier managed to submit Thimbleby Langton with a Texas Cloverleaf.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">WINNERS: THE DYNAMITE EXPRESS</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Good bout to start the show off with. I hated seeing the big men go down again, but this is all apart of how I'm going to help make the Dynamite Express known across the nation. They have talent, and it doesn't deserve to be wasted on the independent scene like this.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">LOWER MIDCARD BOUT:</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">THE ROCK CITY STARS w/ "ROCK PRINCESS" OSIRIS VS. THE HEARTBREAK EXPRESS w/ SWEET TABITHA</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="gpmtDrD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/gpmtDrD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="BOkf9Tb.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/BOkf9Tb.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="qF5DKeB.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/qF5DKeB.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Jtlo8Gv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Jtlo8Gv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="zPwNMyB.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/zPwNMyB.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="6KIrqtp.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/6KIrqtp.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="FiX7jht.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FiX7jht.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Going into it, you'd have been forgiven for thinking it would be a one-sided bout in the Rock Stars' favor. However, the Express knew this was their chance, and brought everything they could into it. Fighting like they'll never fight again, Needham and Liotta found themselves on the advantage for most of the match, catching Manna and Turner (who both probably expected an easy night) way off guard. After about 10 minutes of this non-stop, back and forth, tag team action, Johnny Needham shocked everyone when he pinned Rockin' Ryan Turner following The Score for the victory.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">WINNERS: THE HEARTBREAK EXPRESS</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">A solid match, though Needham and Turner were both off tonight, with Needham looking especially weak out there. Luckily, the atmosphere was able to cover it up, and so to the untrained eye it looked like he was performing better than he was. I signaled for the next match while the Heartbreak Express finished up their celebration.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:12px;">LOWER MIDCARD BOUT:</span></span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">A re-match, this was, as just over eight months ago Jack had defeated Quentin for the New England Wrestling American Title at NEW: Youth Gone Wild. Queen knew it, Jack knew it, and they performed fantastically because of it. Queen brought everything, and Jack did not back down whatsoever. A true 'indy classic' between two great young up-and-comers. Unfortunately, the action had to end in just over 11 minutes when Jack finished Queen off with an All American Slam, which was followed by a pinfall victory.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">WINNER: JACK AVATAR © (4th TITLE DEFENCE!)</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">RATING: </span><img alt="6kIbbBJ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/6kIbbBJ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Match of the card thus far, though I am expecting good things from our next match. Gumble Vs. LaGrenier. Veteran versus young up-and-comer. How could this go?</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">MIDCARD BOUT:</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>FORD GUMBLE VS. PHILIPPE LAGRENIER</strong></span></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Gumble must've still been pissed. He performed utterly terrible, and it looked like it was purposefully. LaGrenier was carrying the match through his performance despite being the less-experienced worker in the bout. Thankfully, in just over 9 minutes, Gumble decided the bout was done and ended it with his Savate Kick. It looked half-assed and it was clear Gumble didn't care. He was pissed, after all. Pinfall. Gumble wins.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">WINNER: FORD GUMBLE</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">I was upset, though there was nothing I could do about it now. The show had to move on. Luckily, we had an interview set up to follow that, so it shouldn't harm the overall show too much.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Addison was standing in the interview area with the Express right next to her, and Tabitha, who was standing around looking pretty.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Allison:</strong></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> "So, Ralph, Johnny," she looked at both of them. "How do you feel after such a HUGE upset over the veterans, the Rock City Stars, tonight?"</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">The two boys stood there silent momentarily, thinking about what to say. Johnny leaned in.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Johnny:</strong></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> "Honestly, I for one feel fant-astic. I wasn't sure if we could do it, but there we were, in the heat of the moment and BAM! A Score, and 1, 2, 3, the match is over, we win. It's almost unsettling, with how awesome it feels. Certainly that'll put us on the radar, right Ralph?"</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Ralph:</strong></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> "Certainly. We are stars in the making, bro, and we aren't going to stop there, because I've got an idea, I thi-"</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Johnny:</strong></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> "Woah, Ralph, let's talk amongst ourselves before you say anything crazy now."</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">The men whispered to each other while Addison and Tabitha watched them. After about thirty seconds, the men high-fived and Ralph turned back to the mic.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Ralph:</strong></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> "We're challenging for the NEW Tag Team titles! We want a shot. We DESERVE a shot. We just beat the former champs, and if that ain't sayin' somethin', I don't know what else could possibly speak for us. So y'hear us, Cam, Syd? We're comin' for YOUR titles, and soon.."</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Johnny:</strong></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> "-Soon, because soon, they won't be your titles.. they'll be OURS."</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">The boys turned to Tabitha and motioned for her to follow them. She complied as the three left the interview area as the screen faded to black.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">RATING: </span><img alt="0BSmnpm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0BSmnpm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">The boys are decent promos, though they could definitely use some work. Having Addison and Tabitha there definitely helped hide that, though.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">MIDCARD BOUT:</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">BRENDAN IDOL VS. AUSTIN SMOOTH</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">It was noticeable from the get-go. Idol and Smooth didn't </span><span style="font-size:12px;"><em>click</em></span><span style="font-size:12px;">, and it made the match look kind of hokey and took away from the crowd's excitement. The crowd still reacted positively, though the ring work was a little below average and the fact that they didn't mesh well only worsened that fact. The match ended in just over 11 minutes when Brendan Idol pinned Austin Smooth following his signature Idolizer.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">I had forgotten all about how they didn't work well together. Fortunately, it wasn't near enough to the end of the show to harm anything too bad, but unfortunately, it means I have two decent enough talents who can't face off in singles competition. <span style="font-size:12px;">Raphael was on top of it tonight, performing greatly in the effort against NEW's resident underperformer, Arthur. Raphael was clearly carrying the match, with Arthur hardly even trying to follow him, it seemed. It was a solid match, got a decent reaction from the crowd, and featured some solid back and forth action before Raphael put A-D-B away with a Cupid's Arrow for the pinfall victory.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">WINNER: RAPHAEL</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">A watchable match, at least. I was proud of Raphael's performance. He is definitely one I'm looking out for in the future, and this match helped further prove my scouting. Unfortunately for A-D-B, this match furthered his rear end towards the big "EXIT" door of NEW. It looks as though he'll be gone by the end of the year. I sent out Harry Allen as we got our show-ender underway.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">ANGLE #2:</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Harry Allen walked down to the ring, NEW World Heavyweight title around his waist and microphone in hand. He entered the ring smiling, and looking out to the crowd.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Harry:</strong></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> "Hel-loooo New England!" He shouted, to many cheers. "It is your World Heavyweight Champion, Harry Allen, and I am here to bring back the once coveted, once amazing, Harry Allen Open Challenge!" More cheers. "Now, if there is anyone standing around back there who thinks they have what it takes to defeat me and claim my title, come out here and do so right now!" He dropped the mic onto the mat, and signaled for Dewey Libertine to take the title to the bell-keeper area.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Silence.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Silence.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><em>More silence.</em></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Unfamiliar music began playing over the speakers in the building. This music contained a sort of ominous melody with a deep bass and a sort of dubstep/trap kick and snare beat. An unfamiliar figure walked onto the stage.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Nobody had any idea who this 'Masked Man' was, and so it looked like an easy victory was in store for Allen. Not. At. All. The Masked Man fought hard and long, and the two clashed often for several minutes at a time, with heavy striking, grappling and aerial moves. It truly was a spectacle. The Masked Man landed a nice frog splash onto Allen and went for a pinfall, only for Allen to kick out at two. The two continued to hammer one another before Allen finally took control of the match, and hammered heavy strikes into a cornered Masked Man. The Man looked like he was on his last rope, and in just over 12 minutes, Harry Allen defeated the unknown warrior following a Flying Fist Drop from the top rope, which led to a pinfall victory.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">THE SHOCKER OF THE NIGHT!</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Allen grabbed his title from Dewey Libertine while The Masked Man lay motionless in the center of the ring. Allen headed towards the entrance-side of the ring when all of a sudden, familiar music began to play.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="OFmOpfs.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/OFmOpfs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Streetz came marching out onto the stage. Allen dropped the World title and began preparing for a fight, eyes deadlocked with Streetz' eyes. Allen could be seen saying the words 'Come on, let's do this' as Streetz lifted his microphone to his mouth.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Streetz:</strong></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> "You know something, Harry?" He paused as Harry replied, 'What?', with a smirk. "You really should always, </span><span style="font-size:12px;"><em>always</em></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> watch your </span><span style="font-size:12px;"><em>back</em></span><span style="font-size:12px;">, eh?"</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Just as Streetz said these words the Masked Man quickly came up behind Harry Allen and rolled him up. Dewey Libertine dove to the ground and counted.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">"ONE! TWO!... THREE!"</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">The Masked Man got up and grabbed the World Title, standing up and heading for the entrance way. Allen grabbed him, whipped him around and tore off the mask.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">RILEY MCMANUS</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Riley McManus was revealed, grinning. Allen grabbed for what he presumed to be his title, but Streetz interrupted him.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Streetz:</strong></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> "Ah-ah-ah. I wouldn't do that, </span><span style="font-size:12px;"><em>former</em></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> NEW World Heavyweight champion Harry Allen." Harry looked reasonably confused. Streetz continued. "You see... because while I was up hear dragging on with distracting you... my man Riley down there," He pointed at Riley. "Told the referee, Dewey Libertine, that this was him, and that this was him using the title match opportunity that he received months ago at the Proving Grounds tournament. So, in all fairness, it was legal, and you lost. Now please, step away from your NEW, New England Wrestling WORLD... HEAVYWEIGHT... CHAMPION!" Streetz laughed as Riley slid away from a shocked Harry Allen and the two men went backstage. Allen regained his senses and chased them up there, storming into the backstage area.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Our best show yet. Due to the angles, but still, our best show yet. Harry Allen Vs. The Masked Man was also a fantastic match, and I applauded the boys on such. The fans began trickling out of the venue and so did the boys. I waited until everyone was gone to shut everything down, and then leave myself. Good show. Best one yet. Now let's keep improving as we near the end of the year, I thought.</span></p><p> </p><p>

We have a TIE! So no NYCW or PSW Main Eventers. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />, though I may make exceptions!)</p></div><p></p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">We may be on the brink of a full-blown wrestling war in the entirety of North America, as during October many companies declared hostilities with other companies. The full breakdown is below:</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">NYCW VS. PSW; NYCW VS. RIPW, PSW VS. RIPW; NEW VS. PSW; USPW VS. SOTBPW; EMLL VS. OLLIE; OLLIE VS. CILL</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">In other worldly news, Youth Energy Professional Wrestling (YEPW) and Australian Pro Wrestling (APW) have both become hostile towards one another, with each company publicly bashing the other online and at events. Whether or not this will spiral out of control or just become another case of 'dislike' remains to be seen.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="UeSNBs7.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/UeSNBs7.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Following their fall in status in April 2016, NOTBPW have picked up their company product and have been really successful as of late, showing that they are still a National competitor in Canada. Whether or not this means they'll be looking to expand into the US remains to be seen.. </span></p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="mS1WkuY.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mS1WkuY.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Christopher Ball has recently taken an MMA fight, and will be packing up for training within the next few months. We wish him the best of luck, and we hope he shows MMA that pro wrestlers can compete too!</span></p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="25f2TvE.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/25f2TvE.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Considered the most dominant heel of all time by many, Russian legend Marat Khoklov made his pro wrestling return in October, at the age of 41, and surprisingly... he signed with SOTBPW! Now one of Mexico's biggest Rudo giants, in a twist of fate, Khoklov signed a multi-year deal, meaning he'll likely be safely planted in Mexico for at least a few years to come!</span></p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="4Rh47dP.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/4Rh47dP.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Neg21x2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Neg21x2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Valiant is another big name who signed with SOTBPW in October. Could he and Khoklov be a part of a plan for SOTBPW to expand into the Northern territories?</span></p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="rXNfcEQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rXNfcEQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="cplAPDC.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cplAPDC.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Total Championship Wrestling (TCW) lost a big name in October, it's young up-and-coming heel star </span><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Wolf Hawkins</strong></span><span style="font-size:12px;">. Hawkins signed a multi-year deal with Supreme Wrestling Federation (SWF) after spending almost the entire month in heated, back and forth contract bidding between the US's major companies. He's still finishing his TCW contract, though it's likely within the next two weeks Hawkins will show up on SWF programming.</span></p></div><p></p><p></p>

Quentin Queen Vs. Philippe LaGrenier

Queen is money, LaGrenier as much as I like him gives the rub to others.

Stan "The Man" Manna Vs. Ricochet Ramone

Ramone is being built, I can see a chance that Ramone wins, but Stan should be kept strong while his tag-team partner tours.

The Dynamite Express © Vs. The Heartbreak Express

If Heartbreak Express win they receive a title shot next month!

I swear every single time you have a match set up with the odds on the line for a title shot, that person loses. I am still backing Heartbreak Express as you are building them strong

Ben Williams Vs. Ford Gumble

Ben Williams is in a lower tier tag-team. Ford Gumble, even though a backstage menace is going to aim for the main title when he betrays Allen.

Austin Smooth Vs. Jack Avatar ©

NEW American Title Bout

Jack Avatar is being built strong, while Austin Smooth is a good choice to get the championship and use that to build him up. I am going to back the Champion here as Jack isn't ready to jump to the ME scene yet.

Brendan Idol Vs. Harry Allen

Back the Aussie champion, Idol could do with a rub though, but Harry is not ready to lose. (Yes I claim Harry as an Aussie, even though all accounts put him as basically an American)

Riley McManus © w/ Streetz Vs. Arthur Dexter Bradley

ADB, is Mr 0-27 or something crazy at this point. Riley McManus is the threat in this company.

15-Man Turkey Dinner Brawl

Winner receives a 1-year long NEW contract!

Chess Maniac

So much talent in the ring, and definitely some strong options if you want to add a stronger talent to the Roster. I am going to go with my boy Chess Maniac. However so many good picks from the group.

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">NEW ENGLAND WRESTLING PRESENTS: TURKEY DINNER BRAWL 2016</span></strong></span></p><p>

<span style="font-size:10px;"><em><span style="text-decoration:underline;">680 People at Generic Venue, New England</span></em></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Nothing happened this time when I walked into the 'backstage' of our venue. Nothing at all. I was pleasantly surprised. The only issue I could sense is that it was a bit crowded due to all the new guys coming in for the Main Event battle royal. All but one of them would be gone by next month, so it was nothing major. There were some things I wished to announce to the regular boys, though I'll save that for after the show.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Libertine came back and gave me the all clear, so we sent out our first bout of the night.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">OPENING BOUT:</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">QUENTIN QUEEN VS. PHILIPPE LAGRENIER</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">The bell rung and they clashed in the center of the ring, going back and forth through a series of chain wrestling just like any other NEW match. Queen took control and swiftly out-wrestled LaGrenier within seconds. He continued to dominate and even hit his signature Q-Ball at roughly the five minute mark, making it look like LaGrenier was about to job out to the youngster. Queen stopped and showed off to the crowd, allowing LaGrenier to make a comeback. Jumping to his feet and swiftly taking out Queen with a clothesline, LaGrenier unleashed a series of attacks nobody had ever seen come out of him before before he put Queen away with a Quebec Arrow. Three seconds later and LaGrenier won the match in just under 9 minutes.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">WINNER: PHILIPPE LAGRENIER</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Good match to get the show started off. The crowd were into it, and there was decent wrestling on display. We moved on to the next one.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">LOWER CARD BOUT:</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">After the bell rung it was quickly apparent this one was gonna be bad. Ramone did his usually spotfest run and jump techniques and Manna was having a rough night without Ryan Turner, it seemed. The match was a back and forth mess of sub-par wrestling although it still got a decent reaction from the crowd, which was good I guess. Manna put Ramone away in just under 12 minutes with a Rockin' Roller for the victory.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">The match started good, with Ralph Liotta and Syd Collier having an intense back and forth battle in the ring for roughly three minutes before each man managed to tag out to their respective partners. Jones was performing good tonight, but Needham clearly wasn't. The weakest man in the match, in regards to his performance, Needham wasn't all there and it hurt this segment of the bout. Luckily, by the 8-minute mark Ralph was back in there tearing it up with Jones. Jones tagged out to Collier, who wrestled with Ralph for a few minutes before tagging Jones back in for what many thought was the final moments. Jones hit his Fisherman's Suplex on Ralph, leaving Ralph down and out, but referee Alvin Lavin didn't come over to make the count. Sweet Tabitha had him distracted on the apron. Jones got up, enraged, and headed over to Tabitha, demanding she leave. She began to mouth him off and, noticing Ralph beginning to rise to his feet, grabbed Jones and smacked him across the face for his 'ignorance', leaving him dazed for a few seconds. Just enough time for Liotta to come up behind him with a quick school-boy rollup for the pinfall victory.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">A solid bout in every definition of the term. Hopefully Needham will perform better in the future, as this one almost failed to entertain due to his performance. I'm looking forward to their bout next month for the titles.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">If you said this wasn't a squash match, you'd need your eyes checked. Gumble decimated Williams as soon as the bell rang and, within 2 minutes, had him down and out following a Savate Kick for the pinfall victory. Gumble looked like he had something on his mind, and Williams was having an off night. Not the best of bouts, but at least it was in the middle of the show.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Not our worst match, by any means, but definitely one of the worst we'd ever had. I'll need to have words with Gumble at some point. He's not performing to the tier he should be.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">MIDCARD BOUT:</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">The best match thus far, Smooth and Avatar came into the match with everything. Avatar, knowing he needed to defend his title to the last breath and Smooth, knowing this could potentially make or break him here in New England Wrestling. Neither man had full control of the momentum of the match for an extended period of time, leading to a back and forth, breath-taking brawl where Avatar only prevailed after a second All American Slam, making Smooth the first man to kick out of the move in NEW history. Avatar won in just under 10 minutes.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">WINNER: JACK AVATAR © (5th TITLE DEFENCE)</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">I'm very proud of those two. They went out there and they probably damn near saved the show up to this point. A great match from the two of them, hopefully meaning I can expect great matches out of them in the future.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">MIDCARD BOUT:</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">The two veterans went at it the moment the bell rang. Allen, who was visibly off due to last month's ending, knew he had to do whatever it takes to get himself back into the title picture and, Idol, on the other hand, knew he had to defeat Harry to insert himself into the title picture legitimately. The back and forth match that followed was a rival to the one that came before it, though eventually Idol found himself on the receiving end of a Flying Fist Drop, leading to Harry Allen walking away with the victory.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">WINNER: HARRY ALLEN</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">They performed well, as expected, and that's all I can ask of them. A good match, nothing more, nothing less, and that's all that can be said about it. Allen will likely be back in the title picture in no time, though whether or not he'll take the title back is up for the future to tell.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">This was a brutal bout in that it was really just thirteen minutes of McManus domination. A-D-B got very little, if any, offense in during the whole thing and just took a beating from the champion. The crowd bought into it whole-sale, booing McManus during all of it despite A-D-B also being a bad guy. McManus carried the match because of this, probably good because A-D-B, as usual, was having a bad night. A Slingshot Suplex ended the match in just under thirteen minutes. Two words: McManus Domination.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Mayhem ran down to the ring and joined the fray, taking on both men at once, knocking them both down. Mayhem decided to go after Torii and tried to eliminate him. Mitico rested on the bottom rope while this went on, and eventually Torii escaped, allowing time to breath and then mount a counterattack against Mayhem. The two men went back and forth with strikes in the center of the ring as the clock winded down once more.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">ANDERS THUNDER</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Thunder made his way to the ring slowly, causing Mayhem and Torii to stop fighting and turn to the entrance way, each man realizing that Thunder was a bigger threat. Mitico joined them in the center, being in between each man. Thunder finally hit the ring and all three of the others came crashing down on him, striking and trying to push him back to the ropes, but ultimately they failed, as when he brought his hands down for some big right hands it sent each man careening nearly half-way across the ring. Thunder decided he too would pick on Masafumi Torii, as that's who he went after. Once Mayhem and Mitico recovered they began going back and forth in a corner. The clock began to wind down again..</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Out came another big man, although he hit the ring quicker than Thunder. Thunder met Crusher at the ropes and they began hitting each other with hard strikes. <span style="font-size:12px;">Garry joined the fray by first throwing his monkey doll-thing at Masafumi Torii, then rushing him with a bunch of strikes, knocking him into the corner. He then turned his attention to the veteran Max Mayhem, coming up behind him and giving him a swift strike to the back of the head. Mayhem quickly turned around and, seeing the rookie, shoved him back then jumped up for a dropkick - which connected, sending Garry to the mat. Torii came to clean up the mess, however, when he tries to throw Garry over the top, Garry hung on. During this, Mayhem turned his attention back to Mitico Jr., who he was now trying to eliminate via the corner. The clock winded down..</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">K-Squared hit the ring and went after fellow veteran Max Mayhem, bringing him down to the mat for some good ol' wrestling techniques. Torii continued to tear it up with Garry in the corner, where Garry was still being resilient as ever. El Mitico Jr. rested some more on the bottom rope. Not much else happened aside from Mayhem taking control from K-Squared and backing him into the ropes, where he then began to try and toss him out, slowly but surely. The clock winded down again.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Chess Maniac came running down to the ring, and once he did he began tearing it up with K-Squared, as Mayhem had moved on to fight with Mitico. Garry and Torii had stopped fighting to rest, each in a different corner doing so. Maniac and Squared went back and forth with strikes and chain wrestling techniques, before Maniac backed Squared into a corner where they would spend the duration of the countdown to number 9. Mayhem and Mitico took center stage now, hitting each other furiously with strikes and other moves. The countdown began..</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Everyone froze when Mutant began slowly making his way to the ring. The six men began gathering in the center as he made it down to the steel steps. He came up them and walked along the apron, each man eyeing him with intense glares. He stepped over the rope and the fight was on. They all rushed him, trying to knock him back and failed - horribly. He knocked them all down - all but K-Squared, who he launched over the top rope with one hand.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Next, Max Mayhem charged Mutant, with the intent of using his speed and size to out-maneuver the giant man and take out his legs. During this, Garry took the time to head over and beat on El Mitico. Maniac took this time to head over to the corner and rest while anticipating what to do next. Max Mayhem continued to try and wear down Mutant, running up for a dropkick - but Mutant moved out of the way and Mayhem hit the mat with a </span><span style="font-size:12px;"><em>thud!</em></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> Mutant smirked and picked him up off the mat, and then subsequently tossing him over the rope like he was nothing.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Whitlock hit the ring and immediately began clashing with the big man himself, Mutant, showing no fear while doing so. The two threw heavy strikes while the other three men watched in amazement as Whitlock actually started to wear down the beast. One right hook to the face of Mutant and Mutant toppled to the ground. Whitlock, not even showing any sense of caring about the feat he just did, turned his sights onto Garry The Entertainer. Rushing over to Garry - who was all but prepared for this sudden onslaught, he slugged Garry a few times, before backing up a few steps and hitting a killer clothesline - sending Garry over the top rope and to the floor.</span></p><p> </p><p>

Whitlock marched over and joined Maniac in his efforts, but Mitico was holding on as if he was glued to the rope. Eventually, Mutant came up behind the three men, grabbing Whitlock and throwing him down to the mat, getting on top of him and then unleashing a brutal flurry of strikes. <span style="font-size:12px;">Ekuma made his way to the ring and everyone separated. Mutant took the center of the ring while everyone else just sat on the sidelines, waiting. Ekuma entered the ring and the two big men faced off. One, a force of good, and the other, a force of devastating destruction. They went at it with powerful hits, vicious hits. Ekuma took control over a weakened Mutant and pushed him up to a corner, where he unleashed some big chops onto Mutant. This was everyone else's cue to continue the action, with CLM resuming his fight against Justin Sensitive, Americano going after Whitlock now and Mitico resting on the bottom rope. About a minute went by, and Sterling lined up Sensitive for another clothesline - this time on the ropes. He charged forward and right before he was supposed to hit Sensitive, Sensitive sunk down, dragging the rope with him and watching as momentum took Sterling out of the match. During this, Mitico managed to wrestle CLM to the ground and leave him there. He watched Sensitive like a predator stalks its prey.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Sensitive looked down on the enraged Whitlock and smirked, letting his arrogance shine through. <span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">WINNER: CALIFORNIA LOVE MACHINE</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">RATING: </span><img alt="CsB0hzN.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/CsB0hzN.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">OVERALL SHOW RATING: </span><img alt="uzT1jxu.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/uzT1jxu.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">The show was a success. I sent the one-timer's home and gathered up all the boys, including our newest member, California Love Machine, backstage. I had an important announcement.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="sI5JTp4.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sI5JTp4.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">"Boys," I said, looking at each of their faces. "I have some very exciting news for you all, but for a few of you in particular." I paused, then resumed. "As you know, my name is synonymous with the Supreme Wrestling Federation," I paused again. "Which is why I'm proud to announce that Jerry Eisen, and Mean Jean Cattley, have been in contact with me." I paused once again, the boys eyes all lit up equally. "So now," I pulled out some papers. "Three of you have the chance to try and make your names become synonymous with the SWF." I paused for the last time, then read the names as I grabbed their contracts. "Philippe LaGrenier, you have been offered a developmental deal with Rhode Island Pro Wrestling. I truly hope you do well."</span></p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="igUucjf.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/igUucjf.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Everyone cheered for the man, and the expression on his face was a mixture of surprise and true joy. I'm happy for him, too, but he's not the only one. "Secondly," I started. "Arthur Dexter Bradley, you have been offered a developmental deal down in Rhode Island, too." Everyone cheered for him, though less prominently than before.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="VHW95uw.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/VHW95uw.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">He seemed happy, although he didn't say or do anything. I was glad for him, truly, though I do hope his work ethic improves when he gets there. It was now that I saw Ford Gumble pack up his stuff and exit the building. I was displeased, though Gumble's ego truly had taken an upswing recently and I couldn't care less about what that cranky indy veteran had to say.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">"And finally..." I paused as everyone waited in suspense. "Raphael!" I shouted, offering him the contract. "You have been invited to return to RIPW for the second time in your career and prove your worth once more in this new developmental deal. I am happy for you, really, though I must say I'm quite saddened to see you leave our little family here in New England." I smiled, and he smiled.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="yUjtn7H.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/yUjtn7H.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">"Alright everyone!" I yelled. "Time for a celebration for </span></p><p><span style="font-size:12px;">

these three wonderful talents, as we toast to there current successes and those that will come in the future!" We all cheered collectively, and headed out of the building to a local bar, where I'd promised to cover the tab for the night as a special treat to those who've worked so hard for me. I was sad to see LaGrenier and Raphael go, as I really wished I'd be able to build them up more, but we'll just have to see how RIPW handles them. If it goes poorly, which I'm willing to bet it won't, they'll always have a home here in New England. Arthur Dexter Bradley, though? I'm glad he's gone. Save's me having to fire him, and hey, maybe he'll actually get better at the performance part of wrestling while he's gone.</span></p><p> </p><p>

Predictions:</p><p> </p><p>

MainOffender: 5/8</p><p> </p><p>

HiPlus: 6/8</p><p> </p><p>

joshbrady91: 5/8</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Thanks for reading/predicting up to this point! Especially to HiPlus, as your input on each of the workers and bouts is really appreciated. It allows me to see how each character is viewed from the reader's perspective and lets me continue to keep certain characters on the right track and throw curveballs to keep everything fresh and different with each show! But again, thanks to everyone for making it this far with me! We're almost through 2016, and heading into December missing four of my talents now, it may get a little rough! </span><img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Also quick little poll: Who do you think will be most successful within RIPW/SWF in the coming months? Raphael, A-D-B or LaGrenier? Personally I believe Raphael, though LaGrenier is a strong candidate for success despite needing a lot of refinement in areas outside of entertaining people.</span></p></div><p></p>

It was a little much, I guess, but I guess that's a side-effect of writing up the shows on the fly as I run them. I booked that angle because Allen refused to lose in a match to McManus, so expect there to be some kind of revenge story or something along the lines in the near future. Allen won't be out of the picture for long!</p>

Last night's event was probably my favorite thus far. Not quite the quality show we want, but good enough that it showed how some of my boys have come. We've lost Raph, LaGrenier and A-D-B to the Eisen's and Rhode Island Pro Wrestling, which is a good thing. But now I've got to look in to guys who can come in to take their spots. That's what New England Wrestling is all about. Creating guys, gettin' 'em out there.

I walked into my home-office, turned on my computer and saw an 'important' notification at my e-mail service. I clicked on it, expecting a quick delete of a spam message, but then I saw the e-mail, and what the subject matter was.

<div style="margin:auto; width:800px; background-color:#ffffff; padding:25px; color:#121212; text-align:justify; font:18px Arial; border:2px solid #212121;">to: faithbusiness@email.com

Dear Christian Faith,

I would like you to accept this as a formal resignation from your company, New England Wrestling. I have found my time with it to be unenjoyable, frustrating, and above all else depressing. You aren't creating stars, you're ruining careers. I hope more realize this and join me elsewhere.

I'll be officially gone by the first of December. No need to pay me, leaving your hellhole is payment enough.

Sincerely, Ford Gumble.

P.S: You're an ego-maniacal prick, thinking you can create stars from nobodies who'll never go anywhere.

Who the hell does Gumble think he is? He's a nobody, a drifter, he'll never amount to anything. Hell, I could really ruin his career with a few phone calls. In fact, maybe I'll go do that right n-

-No. He's just trying to piss me off, get me to do something rash to prove his point. I won't, I'll let him go. Good thing, I was getting ready to put him on the chopping block anyways after that string of terrible performances he put on these last few months. Whatever. We'll manage, he was not an essential figure in the company anyways, just a guy with some ex-TCW name value. He can be replaced. Time to start scouting, and hopefully I'll find some guys in time for December's show.

Austin Smooth Vs. Melvin Otto

Austin smooth wins comfortably here, the guy isnt a star but is a solid midcarder while Otto is on the losing end of tag-teams.

Brendan Idol Vs. Ricochet Ramone

Could see an upset to help Ricochets career, but Brendan is on the cusp of the Main Event scene and should stick around there.

Jack Avatar Vs. Remmy Honeyman

Honeyman makes his NEW debut!

Love Honeymoon, and he is the perfect guy to get others over. The fact this is non-title could lead to an upset and build a program between the two, but Jack has all the momentum right now.

The Dynamite Express © Vs. The Heartbreak Express & Sweet Tabitha

NEW World Tag Team Titles Bout!

You have been building these guys, and honestly I don't think they are ready for the title yet, but are your most credible challengers so an upset could extend their program until Manna gets back.

Harry Allen Vs. Quentin Queen

Cal Sanders Vs. ???

Who could he be facing..?

Not sure who it is, and while you don't need stars as Henry, Riley, CLM, Jack are good at the moment another decent mid to upper midcard guy would be nice, and established them against Cal Sanders who seems set in the midcard with nothing going on.

Riley McManus & Streetz Vs. California Love Machine

Riley is the new champ and needs a win to establish himself. CLM just made a massive impact by winning the battle royal and needs to continue his momentum. So neither guy losses and its a draw due to Harry intervention.

------------------

Disappointed Gumble left when he did, he was underperforming but that disgruntled attitude could have been turned into a feud with Harry Allen who established himself already. He could have filled the role of despicable heel betraying his best friend and been built into a massive deal. In my fantasy booking he would be champion right now in Rileys place. (Have a D.I.Y style breakup turning Gumble into Ciampa essentially.)

Honestly, I can say I had no real major plans for Gumble, as he just isn't a great worker nor a very charismatic/star-powered one. Any plans he had were just to keep him relegated as an upper midcard gatekeeper to see out his career. Unfortunately he got upset losing to young up-'n'-comers all the time, and handed in his notice and left.

I only signed him initially for that role, and just in the event that I needed to have a third/fourth string team for the tag feuds, with Allen. I would've never broken them up and I definitely wouldn't have kept Gumble around for much longer after say, 2017/2018, as by that point there'll likely be much better options for both roles he had, and he'd be hitting 40 at that point and likely starting to decline.

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">NEW ENGLAND WRESTLING PRESENTS: YEAR END BATTLEGROUND 2016!</span></strong></span></p><p>

<span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><em>709 Fans at Generic Venue, New England</em></span></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">I didn't want to waste any time with this show. I was actually really excited for it.. as I did indeed have a few twists up my sleeve for this one, due to the openings on the roster. I smirked, and chuckled to myself before heading to my Agent spot and signaling for the show to start.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">OPENING BOUT:</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">AUSTIN SMOOTH VS. "THE NEW AGE GURU OF MAYHEM" MELVIN OTTO</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="0oVmkjU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0oVmkjU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Jtlo8Gv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Jtlo8Gv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="99hnlqA.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/99hnlqA.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">A back and forth bout between technical work and brute strength brawling meant for an interesting way to start the show. Otto took early control of Smooth, demolishing him with hard hits and big power moves but once we hit the five-minute mark, Smooth readied his comeback - and comeback he did. Unleashing quick, furious attacks at Otto, Smooth stunned the bigger man and took him down to the mat where Smooth was more well-rounded. The match was over following a Smooth Hold submission just minutes later.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">WINNER: AUSTIN SMOOTH</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">RATING: </span><img alt="awvCMuL.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/awvCMuL.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Not the best match, but not the worst, either. Good match to start the show off with, though, as the fans were clearly wanting more wrestling.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">LOWER MIDCARD BOUT:</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">BRENDAN IDOL VS. RICOCHET RAMONE</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="NbKrOwB.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NbKrOwB.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Jtlo8Gv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Jtlo8Gv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="WGZqerd.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/WGZqerd.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">This match perhaps went on too long, but following an explosive opening where Ramone stole the light with several high-octane spots and moves to wow the crowd, however, he missed a moonsault, about half-way through the bout, and it all crumbled from there. Idol was forced to carry a now underperforming Ramone through the rest of the match, and it became quickly apparent that that was the case. Idol eventually was able to put Ramone away with an Idolizer at about eleven and a half minutes into the action.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">WINNER: BRENDAN IDOL</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">RATING: </span><img alt="5ARaoQp.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/5ARaoQp.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Decent enough match to follow up on the opener, though both men were either underperforming or just unable to get it going with the crowd. Ramone takes another loss while Idol continues to solidify himself as a potential upper midcard or main event threat.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">LOWER MIDCARD BOUT:</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:12px;">JACK AVATAR VS. REMMY HONEYMAN</span></span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="4aHgMXT.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/4aHgMXT.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Jtlo8Gv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Jtlo8Gv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="fM9VwWs.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/fM9VwWs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">The bout started with some great technical displays from both men, with the debuting Honeyman actually managing to take early control. Obviously, this match went how most matches go with Jack Avatar - the opponent (Remmy) takes control, goes on a dominant streak before Jack manages to find the will to succeed and explodes with offense and takes the flow by the horns as he dominates the bewildered opposition. Though, unlike most matches, Remmy was actually able to try and mount an almost successful counterattack against Avatar's comeback attacks and almost, </span><span style="font-size:12px;"><em>almost</em></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> managed to tap out Avatar with a submission maneuver. Key word being almost. Avatar took control of the match once again and finished Honeyman off with an All American Slam at the fourteen minute mark.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">WINNER: JACK AVATAR</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">RATING: </span><img alt="CsB0hzN.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/CsB0hzN.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">A good, if not great match to excite the crowd for more action and save the show from suffering a series of average matches. Avatar continues on his winning rampage through the midcard while Honeyman takes a loss on his debut, while still looking alright out there.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">MIDCARD BOUT:</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">THE DYNAMITE EXPRESS VS. THE HEARTBREAK EXPRESS w/ SWEET TABITHA</span></strong></span></p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Each of the Expresses eyed each other as the match began, with Collier and Needham starting us off. Needham was looking a bit worse than everyone else straight out the gate. Fortunately, he didn't stay in too long and Liotta covered for him for a majority of the match, realizing he was off. Collier dominated the two Heartbreakers, making last months win look meaningless in the big picture. The fact of the matter was; Jones and Collier are here to bring it, shut mouths with force, and leave the victors, and this was something the Heartbreakers weren't prepared for, leaving Liotta to take the fall after about eleven minutes of combat following a Chop And Change from Cameron Jones.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Alright match from the youngsters. Collier and Jones were looking extremely impressive. I expect big things from them.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">UPPER MIDCARD BOUT:</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">HARRY ALLEN VS. QUENTIN QUEEN</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Allen just... dominated. Clotheslines, Dropkicks, Slams, Splashes, you name it, chances are Allen probably just did it to poor old Quentin Queen. Queen couldn't even manage to get much offense in, and what little he did get in only made Allen come back harder and stronger. Allen was determined. He needs to get back into the title picture, and Queen was just another obstacle in the way. A poor, young, plucky obstacle, but an obstacle nonetheless, and Allen treated him as such, though he mercifully finished the match in at just over 6 minutes following his patented Flying Fist Drop.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">WINNER: HARRY ALLEN</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Good match. Allen started heading backstage, into what the next segment was.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">ANGLE #1:</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">ALLEN MAKES A VOW!</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Allen walked through the curtains and was immediately thrown into a live interview with Allison Addison.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Allison:</strong></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> "So, Mr. Allen, following that amazing victory over Quentin Queen, how do you feel?"</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Harry:</strong></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> "I feel... fine. Though I've got to say I kinda feel bad for the poor bastard. I went to town.. but hey, that's wrestling... it's gonna be you or me out there and well, I want it to be me."</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Allison:</strong></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> "Right. So, in the past two months we've seen you fall from grace, with Riley McManus and Streetz savagely taking your title away in what can only be seen as a cheap win. Now, you aren't even in the title picture. What do you plan on doing to insert yourself back into the main event scene?"</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Harry:</strong></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> "Well, that's a tough question... but as of right now I'll be winning as many matches as I can and proving why I'm deserving of the NEW World Heavyweight title and the fans of this company and of mine. I wish to be the best of the best here in NEW, and I will be, because Riley," Allen turns to the camera and glares at it, as if he wanted to burn his glare into it. His voice lost that usual up-beat tone of his, too. "You ain't gon' be champion very much longer.. because you've set loose a beast that won't be tamed. You saw what happened to Quentin-boy, but that won't be the half of what'll happen to you."</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Allen walked away, ending the interview then and there.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">RATING: </span><img alt="pWPKgk9.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/pWPKgk9.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">The crowd were invested during the whole thing. Good. Allen keeping himself relevant and in the big picture is what NEW needs to be successful, and to be able to stay up and running. He's our biggest babyface star, and we need to keep him that way. We set up for the next match, which features a surprise opponent - something I really enjoy doing.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">ANGLE #2:</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">SANDERS' MYSTERY OPPONENT REVEALED!</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="wG8omPG.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wG8omPG.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Sanders stood in the ring waiting anxiously as the whole venue went dark. No music played. It was pitch black and the only noise was the murmurs in the crowd.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">A light shined down onto the top of the entry way, where a figure was standing, turned around with his back facing the ring. No pose, but a dark, long robe and hood covered the man., making him completely mysterious.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Slowly, but ever surely, the man turned around while looking down. Then he slowly, slowly looked up at Cal, and that's when the lights all turned on and dark, grunge music began playing.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="xJQC0Tg.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/xJQC0Tg.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">SAMAEL THE ACCUSER</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">It was Samael! He was making his NEW debut and the big man slowly headed toward the ring, becoming more and more menacing with each slow step.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">RATING: </span><img alt="CsB0hzN.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/CsB0hzN.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">UPPER MIDCARD BOUT:</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

CAL SANDERS VS. SAMAEL THE ACCUSER</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="wG8omPG.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wG8omPG.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Jtlo8Gv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Jtlo8Gv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="xJQC0Tg.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/xJQC0Tg.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">After Samael got to the ring and the bell rung, Samael's entire strategy changed. The big man exploded onto Cal, unleashing furious, heavy strikes and power moves that left Cal strapped of any kind of offense - or defense. Samael dominated Sanders for a few minutes before finishing the match with a Poison Of God finishing move, leaving Sanders down and out and taking another loss.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">WINNER: SAMAEL THE ACCUSER</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:12px;">Good debut win for Samael. Not the best match, nor the worst, and it was a good way to assess Samael's skill as a dominating monster, and how Sanders would perform being squashed like that. </span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Textbook back and forth match between two of NEW's bigger stars was this match. Each man brought their own unique skillset, with McManus being more powerful and technically gifted while CLM had the agility and maneuverability (and could arguably keep up with McManus' ground game, for the most part). Unfortunately, CLM was way, waaay off his game and this led to McManus having to carry the match tenfold. The match was still good, but with a lack of any real competition from CLM, the whole thing felt a little underwhelming. As such, the match suffered despite being a good 15 minute back-and-forth bout, with McManus taking the victory following his trademark Slingshot Suplex.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">McManus and Streetz were celebrating in the ring, backs turned to the entry way when an unknown figure hit the ring fast, and hard. The figure started destroying McManus, and then Streetz, with big clotheslines and power moves such as powerbombs and the like. He even got a table and put McManus through it, leaving McManus and Streetz laid out in the ring with his title laid on top of him (CLM was smart enough to get the hell out of dodge). The figure looked around at the crowd, and a mixture of boos and cheers were all that he received. He showed no emotion as the camera caught his face as he headed out of the ring and to the backstage area.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">A solid show to close out the year of 2016. Time to head into 2017 with a fresher start and keen eyes as to what we need to improve. I gathered the boys around the back so I could announce something.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">"Alright listen up!" I shouted to get their attention. "With the year closing out and the worldwide '....Of The Year Awards' coming up, I've decided I'd give my own awards. The NEW Awards. So, without further ado, the first award is.." I paused and held up a certificate, the name facing my way. "The NEW Wrestler Of The Year award, which I think we can all agree is..." I paused. "Harry Allen!" I shouted, to a mixture of cheers and emotionlessness. </span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Allen looked pleased. "We can all agree that if it weren't for Allen, we probably wouldn't be able to be nearly as successful as we have been. Anywho, the next award is 'Up And Comer Of The Year', which goes to Jack Avatar, who has made his name known after being nearly unknown on the independents with his NEW American title reign. Looking forward to seeing how that continues in the coming months," I smirked. "And finally, the NEW Tag Team of The Year... it was a close call, but I'm gonna have to give it to the Rock City Stars, Stan Manna and Ryan Turner!" I yelled, everyone cheered. Turner was out on tour, so he wasn't here, but I made Manna promise to let Turner know they won and to give him his $500 bonus for winning it.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">"That's all boys, go on home and enjoy the Holidays!" I ordered in a lighthearted way, followed by the boys all leaving, hootin' and hollerin', until I was left in the venue, as indecisive as ever, about the direction I want to take this venture in in the upcoming year.</span></p><p> </p><p>

Finally someone has dethroned HiPlus in the predictions! <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />! In all seriousness, though, thanks for reading and predicting thus far. It makes it all feel worth it, and heari- reading your feedback tells me how I can make the story more enjoyable, while keeping it fun for me seeing what others think of how I've run things. Thank you, and cheers as we head into a new year of the save! I never thought I'd make it this far, but it truly has been fun doing this, even if only a couple people actually care about this diary! <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p>
