Also enjoyed the read and catching up on the diary loving Allen and more reading the backstage commentary on events. Only request is maybe with tag-teams also put their individual names because I dont know any of them.

Glad you're enjoying it! :) Keeps me motivated.

I've thought of putting teams' individual names in the write-ups but never really thought of a visually pleasing way to do it right. I'll likely put the members names under their pictures in smaller font, or underneath the bigger "X TEAM VS. Y TEAM" thing above the pictures, like I do with title bouts.

Thanks for reading!

HEADLINES FROM MAY!

jZRwzTF.jpg

In one of the most devastating natural disasters in living memory, Japan was last night devastated by an enormous tsunami. It will take some time to properly assess the amount of damage done to the coastal country, and experts are warning that the Japanese economy - one of the strongest in the world - is about to topple over on itself. Who knows what this means for the wrestling industry, which has no doubt been affected in a major way, worldwide. More news as we get it..

HvcGbEZ.jpgJyqwiCz.jpgA3q4OWL.jpgMQLRnAH.jpg

In May the wrestling industry lost four faces to retirement, with the original Elemental - whose real name is still unknown to this day - leaving the industry entirely alongside Mexican legend Alfredo Menendez, better known under the mask of 'El Barbaro', which he popularized in the 60s and 70s. Larry Wood and Pete The Hillbilly, two ginormous 'athletes' also retired from active competition, with each declaring they were going to pursue other interests within the industry. It is still unknown what either may be inclined to do, but we wish them the best of luck!

Anna Ki, who hasn't been seen in a wrestling ring since 2014, announced on Friday, the Fourth week of May that she had a healthy baby boy, and that it is the first step in the direction the 35 year old wants to take her life. We are all really happy for her and hope for the best, but you have to wonder: does it even have a name yet?

Jake Idol, an independent wrestler known for his work with CZCW alongside Jackpot Jordan, the duo known as Rich & Famous, recently posted shocking photos of himself which revealed that he was working overtime in the gym. Boasting a smoking new ripped physique, Idol hopes it'll improve the likeliness he gets hired by a larger company. It definitely made him look even more like money though!

NEW ENGLAND WRESTLING PRESENTS: FATAL FURY 2016

610 Fans at Generic Venue, New England

Bigger turnout than last time, which is always good. I'm happy the New England name is finally getting out there to people. I turned around backstage to see our head referee, Dewey Libertine fuming and yelling at somebody.

yzqMneY.jpgwG8omPG.jpg

It was Cal Sanders.

Dewey: "Do you know how ignorant you are, you little bastard?!"

I had never seen Dewey so pissed before..

Dewey: "We spend money to keep you around here, do you understand what that means!? It means you can't, I repeat, CANNOT leave your trash laying all over the backstage area! When you're done with something, or when you've gotten something out, you MUST put it back or throw it out! It's pretty goddamn simple! We cannot afford to pay the venue for whatever trash or 'damages' YOU leave laying around here! Understand?!"

Cal: "Yes, Mr. Libertine... I understand."

Dewey: "You better! Now go clean up that damned mess in the locker rooms! NOW!"

And with that, Cal headed off to the locker rooms. I made a note to myself: don't mess with Dewey, and we got ourselves underway.

OPENING BOUT:

QUENTIN QUEEN VS. CAL SANDERS

6f5dv25.jpgJtlo8Gv.jpgwG8omPG.jpg

The bell rung and the two boys clashed in the center of the ring. They were very much opposite in styles so it was interesting to see who would take control. Cal was a high flying cruiserweight from the great North and Queen was a more rounded wrestler from our home country of the US. Sanders fought off Queen and used his speed to take control of the match, dominating Queen with his arsenal of drop kicks, splashes, and other aerial attacks. Sanders then busted out an unknown skill he had: technical wrestling, wrestling Queen down to the ground and trying to make him tap. Queen fought free and took control, using his quick wit and brawling skills to force Sanders to the ground, then set him up for a Q-Ball, which was enough to give Queen the victory.

WINNER: QUENTIN QUEEN

RATING: mrOufB2.jpg

LOWER CARD BOUT:

AUSTIN SMOOTH VS. THIMBLEBY LANGTON

WlTMHhx.jpgJtlo8Gv.jpgbwDN2JI.jpg

After the bell rung Langton came flying out of his corner, trying to quickly overpower Smooth to win the match. Smooth was smarter, however, and easily slipped out and away from Langton's vicious strikes and attacks. Smooth was able to get behind Langton, targeting the big man's knees, and take him down to the ground. Keeping him down with various holds and attacks to Langton's knees and arms, Smooth was eventually able to lock him into a Smooth Hold for the submission victory.

WINNER: AUSTIN SMOOTH

RATING: mrOufB2.jpg

LOWER CARD BOUT:

BRENDAN IDOL VS. ARTHUR DEXTER BRADLEY

NbKrOwB.jpgJtlo8Gv.jpgVHW95uw.jpg

This match was fairly average, and inconsistent. Shame because I expected much better from these two. Both underperformed heavily and the match came across as a poorly put together, poorly coordinated bout that probably shouldn't have been on the show. Idol hit his Idolizer for the pinfall victory, but can it really be called a victory?

WINNER: BRENDAN IDOL

THE ROCK CITY STARS & "ROCK PRINCESS" OSIRIS © VS. BEN WILLIAMS & MELVIN OTTO

Rockin' Ryan Turner, Stan "The Man" Manna & Osiris Vs. Ben Williams & Melvin Otto

NEW WORLD TAG TITLES ON THE LINE

BOkf9Tb.jpggpmtDrD.jpg & qF5DKeB.jpgJtlo8Gv.jpgunFgGe5.jpg99hnlqA.jpg

The bell rung, with Ryan Turner and Ben Williams starting the contest. Williams ate a vicious clothesline from Turner, but bounced right back up to his feet. He took a few more clotheslines, only to bounce right back up. Turner, visibly getting pissed, came at Williams with a series of vicious blows to the face and chest, pushing him to the corner in the process. Williams took it like a champ, and bounced out of the corner with a drop kick. He tagged out to Otto, who stormed in and took advantage of a stunned Turner. Otto used his size and power to physically dominate Turner, who was then trapped into Otto & Williams corner, taking a beating. Otto finally powerbombed Turner and went for a pinfall, only for Turner to kick out at two-and-a-half. Otto tagged out to Williams, who came in guns blazing only to be tripped by Turner into the Stars' corner of the ring. Osiris then kissed Williams on the lips and shoved him away. He was stunned, and Turner tagged out to Stan Manna, who hit his Rockin' Roller on the stunned Williams for the victory.

WINNERS: THE ROCK CITY STARS © (1st TITLE DEFENCE!)

THE HEARTBREAK EXPRESS EXPRESS THEIR DISCONTENT!

6KIrqtp.jpgzPwNMyB.jpgOF25r1G.jpg

(Johnny Needham, Ralph Liotta, Allison Addison)

Allison was standing backstage, microphone in hand, waiting for her guests. Needham & Liotta finally walked up, each sharing a similar unhappy look.

Allison: "So, Johnny, Ralph, you guys were slotted to make your in-ring debut for NEW last month at Proving Grounds, only to be attacked by two giants in their forties and taken out off of the show... how do you feel about that?"

They looked at each other, as if reading the other's mind, before Needham stepped forward.

Johnny: "You see, uh, Allison, that is just something we have come to accept about being here in NEW..."

He pauses.

"-We've come to accept that there are.. well, there are no rules, it seems."

Ralph: "Tch-ya, dude. In what world is it okay to simply just attack somebody and steal their match. And two washed up veterans? That makes it even worse! They need to stop trying to steal our spotlight, and let us take the stage man!"

Johnny: "Yeah, like seriously, in what world is that okay?"

Allison: "Uhh... pro wrestling?"

Johnny: "Of course you'd say that. Leave it up to the bosses lackey to back up the fact that there isn't any justice here. Leave it up to her."

Ralph: "Yeah, man. Of course. Well you know what? We, the Heartbreak Express? We're gonna be the ones who bring justice to New England Wrestling, and we're gonna start by defeating the Dynamite Express later tonight, like we should have last month! Hmph!"

RATING: 3AFEJs4.jpg

And with that, the Heartbreak Express walked away, leaving Allison there all by herself. The screen faded to black and familiar entrance music began to play.

UPPER MIDCARD BOUT:

JACK AVATAR © VS. RICOCHET RAMONE

NEW AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIP ON THE LINE

4aHgMXT.jpgJtlo8Gv.jpgWGZqerd.jpg

A good match, this one was. Avatar and Ramone perfectly countered each others style, and neither were able to take full control of the match during the entirety of the bout. Although eventually, Ramone took advantage just long enough to hit a great senton bomb, but Avatar kicked out at two-and-a-half, leaving a vulnerable Ramone furios with the referee - Alvin Lavin, leaving Avatar just enough time to surprise Ramone with an All American Slam for the victory.

WINNER: JACK AVATAR © (2nd TITLE DEFENCE)

UPPER MIDCARD BOUT:

THE DYNAMITE EXPRESS VS. THE HEARTBREAK EXPRESS

(Cameron Jones & Syd Collier Vs. Johnny Needham & Ralph Liotta

eHDrrIZ.jpgLxUmW7w.jpgJtlo8Gv.jpg6KIrqtp.jpgzPwNMyB.jpg

Jones and Needham started the battle, with each man unable to take control during the chain wrestling which started the bout. Jones eventually brought Needham to the ground, Needham unable to keep up with Jones technical work. Using this to his advantage, Jones took full control of the bout. He tagged out to Syd Collier, who kept up with the domination Jones started, but Needham was eventually able to wriggle himself free of Collier and tag in Ralph Liotta. Liotta unleashed a flurry of strikes and attacks onto Collier, taking control of the match in a heartbeat. Liotta rushed and pushed Collier into a corner, leaving Collier vulnerable with no escape, and quickly and forcefully destroyed him with kicks and stomps. Liotta, full of himself, though, began taunting the crowd with the fact that he was destroying the favorites. Ignoring Needham's warnings, Liotta continued to taunt whilst Collier tagged in Jones. Jones snuck up behind Liotta and spun him around, hitting him with the Fisherman's Suplex for the pinfall victory.

RAMONE IN DESPAIR

OF25r1G.jpgWGZqerd.jpg

The camera cut to the interview area where Allison Addison and Ricochet Ramone were standing.

Allison: "So, Ramone, how are you feeling after your devastating loss to Jack Avatar earlier tonight for his NEW American title?"

Ricochet: "How am I feeling? Well, I'm feeling pretty hopeless. That was the biggest opportunity I've been given in NEW thus far, and I blew it. I blew it. So yeah, that's how I'm feeling."

Allison: "Right, well, do you think you can recover from this loss and someday even fight Avatar again for his title?"

Ricochet: "At this moment, no. Later, though, probably. This just tells me I need to keep working at my game and stay on top of it. Gotta stay two steps ahead of everyone else, y'know? Can't let them get better than me if I want to get to the top of the NEW mountain."

Allison: "That's a nice way of looking at it, but who do you think, if anyone, you would be able to take on and beat next month?"

Ricochet: "Anyone on the roster? That's tough. I'd like to face Riley McManus, but he'd squash me in seconds. But if I want to prove something? Put me in a match against Stan Manna or Cameron Jones. They're carrying their respective tag teams, and one of them is a tag champion. If I can win against them, it'll put me on the radar for any champion, I think."

Allison: "Right, well, there you have it. Thanks for your time, Ricochet,"

Ricochet: "Nah, thank you, Miss Addison, this was good. Hey, you mind going out to dinner with me tonight?"

They both laugh as footsteps can be heard in the background.

MCMANUS & STREETZ HAVE A MESSAGE

JwElApK.jpgOFmOpfs.jpgOF25r1G.jpg

Allison: "Uh, Riley, Streetz.."

Ricochet: "The hell do y'alls want, can't you see I'm tryna score a date?"

Streetz: "[Censored] get the hell outta here. We're here for an interview, so git gone."

Riley glared at Ramone and he swiftly left, not wanting to be on the wrong side of these two.

Allison: "So uh, what's up guys?"

Streetz took the microphone out of her hand.

Streetz: "What's up? What's up!? Y'know what's up? What's up is we're pissed off! Why in the hell is some random ass Canadian lackey in the main event instead of my man Riley Mc-Man-Us! Philippe LaGrenier? He don't deserve no title shot. He don't deserve nothin'. Ford Gumble? Well he ain't winnin' so why give him some words, right? Raphael? Goddamn Raphael? That little prick ain't done nothing to deserve a World title shot! But my man McManus? He's done it all. He's beat nearly everyone he goes up against, and last month he won himself the Proving Grounds tournament, which means he can have a title shot anywhere and anytime, bro! So watch out, cause we're comin' for you, Harry Allen! We're comin' for you AND your title!"

Streetz threw the mic onto the ground and the two men walked away, leaving a visibly shaken Allison as the screen faded to black.

NEW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE ON THE LINE!

FORD GUMBLE VS. RAPHAEL VS. PHILIPPE LAGRENIER VS. HARRY ALLEN ©

bg0BVWV.jpgJtlo8Gv.jpgyUjtn7H.jpgJtlo8Gv.jpgigUucjf.jpgJtlo8Gv.jpg28UMtHj.jpg

The bell rung and everyone swarmed Harry Allen, beating him down and pushing him down to the outside. Happy with what they had done, they cheered and celebrated before remembering this was a fatal-four-way match where anyone could win. Gumble knocked LaGrenier to the outside and then Raphael rolled up Gumble for a 2-count. Gumble and Raphael went back and forth in the ring when, to a great cheer, Harry Allen slipped back into the ring and knocked them both down with a double-clothesline. LaGrenier slipped back into the ring as Gumble and Raphael rolled out. LaGrenier tried to beat Allen in a series of chain wrestling, but was terribly outmatched against the veteran. He left a stunned LaGrenier on the ground and climbed to the top rope, waiting for LaGrenier to stand. Suddenly he was pushed down off the turnbuckle and onto LaGrenier, and then Raphael took his place on top. Looking ready to fly, Raphael was ALSO then pushed down on top of the other two men. Gumble climbed up and splashed down onto the pile of bodies, bouncing off of them and onto his feet, leaving him dazed against the ropes while the boys rolled off of each other. Gumble then went for the pinfall on LaGrenier, only for it to be broken by Raphael. Allen, being smart, strayed away from the other three and rested in the corner. Raphael and Gumble went back and forth along the ropes nearest to the entrance ramp, and Allen, recovered and on his feet, took advantage, charging them and taking them both out with a clothesline. He climbed to the top rope and, unbeknownst to a stunned LaGrenier, came down with a Flying Fist Drop, pinning LaGrenier for the victory.

WINNER: HARRY ALLEN © (4th TITLE DEFENCE)

RATING: uzT1jxu.jpg

ANGLE #4:

MCMANUS IS OUTRAGED

Riley McManus stormed down to the ring, where Harry Allen was celebrating his title defence. McManus grabbed a chair from ringside and slid into the ring behind Allen, who was still celebrating. Allen turned around and bang! took a chair shot right to the dome. Allen stood upright for a few seconds before slumping down to the ground as McManus kept wailing on him with the chair shots. Eventually Dewey Libertine and Alvin Lavin were able to restrain him and take him backstage, leaving a stunned and shocked crowd and a pulp known as Harry Allen in the ring.

RATING: 3AFEJs4.jpg

OVERALL SHOW RATING: Z9gUr7W.jpg

This show was bad in comparison to Proving Grounds, but how can we top that? I can't do an opening promo every single show! That'd defeat the purpose of NEW! The fans filtered out and I applauded the boys on their performances, telling them all how they really killed it out there and put on a fantastic night of wrestling. I really praised McManus and Allen for their abilities to sell such angles and beatdowns, and the Heartbreak Express for their promo work. Tonight may not have been our best show, but it certainly had an impact on the future of our company. I love these boys, and I want them to succeed, just as I hope they love me and want me to help them achieve wrestling success.

<span style="font-size:12px;">A crazy month for New York City Wrestling, June was. Having risen to what we here at Totalextremewrestling.com classify as a 'Regionally' sized company, just one week after it's triumphant rise it fell back down to a 'Small' company in terms of popularity. NEW ENGLAND WRESTLING PRESENTS: MID YEAR CLASH 2016

598 People at Generic Venue, New England

Dewey Libertine had two people in front of him this month, Stan "The Man" Manna and Sweet Tabitha. Libertine wasn't yelling, nor was he angry. Turns out Manna didn't pay his share of a bar tab, and Tabitha didn't join the others for a night out. Libertine was just pulling their legs, but it seems they took it seriously enough to apologize and 'never do it again'. Ha.

Smaller crowd than last time, but not by much. Maybe ten or so people? This was big enough anyways. No need to get caught up in the attendances anyways. I sent out for the first match once I got the all-clear from Dewey.

OPENING BOUT:

MELVIN OTTO VS. CAMERON JONES

99hnlqA.jpgJtlo8Gv.jpgeHDrrIZ.jpg

The match started fiercely, Otto unleashing a hail of striking offense onto Jones, who wasn't quite prepared for that style of wrestling. Jones took the beating, being backed into a corner, until he could pinpoint a weakness in Otto's armor. Eventually he found it - Otto's arms. He avoided several strikes and brought Otto back out of the corner and to the center of the ring, still avoiding strikes before grabbing Otto's left arm and taking him down quickly into an arm bar - as expected of a technical wizard like Jones. Within seconds it seemed like Otto was going to tap, but Jones then let go and moved onto the right arm, applying the same hold until Otto looked ready to tap once more. He kept this up until he felt Otto was weak enough and lifted Otto up for a Fisherman's Suplex - which sealed the match in Jones' favor with a 1-2-3.

WINNER: CAMERON JONES

RATING: 9BkRvPs.jpg

Jones celebrated while Otto was 'escorted' backstage by Alvin Lavin and Dewey Libertine. A good, solid match to start us out, but not the exciting bout needed to light the crowd on fire. I congratulated Jones when he got backstage before sending out the second match.

LOWER MIDCARD BOUT:

RAPHAEL VS. SYD COLLIER

yUjtn7H.jpgJtlo8Gv.jpgLxUmW7w.jpg

The bell rung and the two men clashed with chain wrestling in the center of the ring. Both are pretty good technicians, so it was a battle of wills and tenacity. Collier took control, pinning Raphael to the mat and applying various holds. Eventually Collier got Raphael up to his feet - while maintaining control, and unleashed several awesome looking suplexes. Raphael looked down and out and Collier, letting momentum get into his head, shouted several insults at Raph while also showboating - something Collier has rarely, if ever, done. Raph took advantage of this, rolling up Collier in a school boy... One... Two... Th- No! Collier manages to kick out. Raphael maintains control and corners Collier with some solid brawling offense before chain wrestling once more. Raphael, still in control, kept up with Collier's chain wrestling and kept the advantage. A few drop kicks later and a little showboating and Raphael was setting up Collier for the Cupid's Arrow, which, as everyone saw, was what ended the 16-minute long bout between the two.

WINNER: RAPHAEL

RATING: uzT1jxu.jpg

I was much more pleased with that bout than the last one. Collier and Raphael are both potential stars, although Collier probably has to work on his crowd control. It's unfortunate, because Jones probably won't keep up. Ah, who am I kidding? Jones will find work somewhere. I'll make sure of it. I just like the kid.

LOWER MIDCARD BOUT:

JACK AVATAR VS. ARTHUR DEXTER BRADLEY

4aHgMXT.jpgJtlo8Gv.jpgVHW95uw.jpg

In what was probably expected, Jack Avatar exploded out the gate with offense, and easily took control of a somewhat off A-D-B. Bradley couldn't do much with what little defense he tried to procure, and Avatar was relentless. After about 9 minutes, Avatar managed to put A-D-B away with an All American Slam, meaning no title bout next month.

WINNER: JACK AVATAR

RATING: uzT1jxu.jpg

A good match, although it was clear Avatar had to carry A-D-B to that good of a match. It seems like Bradley isn't improving like all the others are, instead it seems like he may be regressing.. I'm concerned about him, as I don't want to have to let him go. I'll keep a close eye on his next few matches, though it may be inevitable.

ANGLE #1:

AUSTIN SMOOTH ISN'T HAPPY!

OF25r1G.jpgWlTMHhx.jpg

The mini-trons turned on, revealing Allison Addison in the backstage area with a visibly upset Austin Smooth.

Allison: "So, Austin, I've been told by... sources, that you are in fact quite unhappy with your current standing in New England Wrestling."

Austin: "Hell yeah I am," Austin spoke, his voice slightly raised. "I've worked my ass off since day one here in NEW, and y'know what I get for that? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I don't even have a match on tonight's card! What the hell! How are you supposed to 'be the launching pad for stars' if you aren't even booking some of your potential stars, boss? Yeah, I'm talking to you, Faith. I'm talking to you."

Allison: "Okay, well, uh.. Austin... Who would you like to face next, out of everyone on the roster?"

Austin: "Two words. Riley McManus. Man walks around here like he owns the place when truth is: he stinks. He can't even win a single main event match, and his only achievement is winning that stupid 'Proving Grounds' tournament. That seems to have made him arrogant, and he probably thinks he's invincible - well I'll tell ya, I'm gonna teach him a lesson when I get the chance. He'll see the lights of hell and ask to join them, because that'll be better than what I'll do to him. He won't know what hit him."

With that, Austin left, leaving Addison as the screen faded to black.

RATING: Kv0AR3C.jpg

Good segment. The next match was already set up, the competitors waiting in the ring for the video to end.

MIDCARD BOUT:

CAL SANDERS VS. QUENTIN QUEEN

wG8omPG.jpgJtlo8Gv.jpg6f5dv25.jpg

The bell rung and something become apparent very quickly. Quentin was way off his game, and was performing terribly because of it. Sanders, the poor guy, had to try and hide Queen's flaws for the majority of the match, and ended making Queen look pretty half-decent, at the expense of the quality of the match. Queen won after a sloppy Q-Ball, much to the displeasure of fans.

WINNER: QUENTIN QUEEN

RATING: wvRCqct.jpg

A solid match, although it came at the expense of both men. Sanders looked alright, and Queen was very clearly performing sloppily and it just made for a match the crowd just wasn't into. I may have to talk to Queen later, or do something about it, but who knows? It could just be an unfortunate one-time thing.

MIDCARD BOUT:

BEN WILLIAMS VS. PHILIPPE LAGRENIER

unFgGe5.jpgJtlo8Gv.jpgigUucjf.jpg

The bell rung and LaGrenier wasted no time, instantly dominating Williams and keeping him on the ground. The poor man wasn't even able to mount any sort of counter or defense to LaGrenier, and LaGrenier made easy work of the guy in just under 6 minutes or so with a Quebec Arrow.

WINNER: PHILIPPE LAGRENIER

RATING: TiQD9iV.jpg

Better than the last match, at least, though it could've been better. I wasn't overly impressed, but it was decent enough that it garnered at least some kind of feeling, so I enjoyed it.

UPPER MIDCARD BOUT:

THE GOOD OL' BOYS VS. THE HEARTBREAK EXPRESS

(WOOTON FITZPAINE & THIMBLEBY LANGTON VS. JOHNNY NEEDHAM & RALPH LIOTTA)

B0og2oI.jpgbwDN2JI.jpgJtlo8Gv.jpg6KIrqtp.jpgzPwNMyB.jpg

The Good Ol' Boys were right on top of The Heartbreak Express as soon as the bell rung, first decimating Johnny Needham and then Ralph Liotta. It seemed like the Boys had this in the bag, for a while, until Liotta and Needham mounted a counteroffensive, using tactics similar to the Dynamite Express, who managed to defeat Langton and Fitzpaine before. Taking out the legs of the two big men allowed the Express to finally mount an offensive, with Johnny Needham finally finishing off Wooton Fitzpaine with his finisher, The Score.

WINNERS: JOHNNY NEEDHAM & RALPH LIOTTA

RATING: awvCMuL.jpg

ANGLE #2:

TEAM ALLEN'S ENTRANCE!

28UMtHj.jpgNbKrOwB.jpgbg0BVWV.jpg

Headed by Harry Allen, the three men make their way to the ring, with Idol and Allen showboating and playing to the crowd while an ever-pessimistic Ford Gumble lingered back as they made their way down.

RATING: 3Dq6jVl.jpg

ANGLE #3

MCMANUS REVEALS HIS TEAM!

JwElApK.jpgOFmOpfs.jpg

McManus, accompanied by Streetz, lumbered out onto the stage, each with microphones in hand.

Streetz: "Well well well, look what we have here, a trio of washed up old veterans.. and hats." Streetz bowed forward, tipping his own hat.

Riley: "Yeah, and they are lookin' a little wrinkled, aren't they?"

Streetz: "Yes, indeed they do, McMan my man. It's a shame, really, otherwise I'd be down to having them join our lovely enterprise."

Riley: "It really is a shame, but that brings me to one thing, er, actually, two things. Now, the people who are about to join me on stage, well, they definitely aren't wrinkled. They're skilled athletes with stunning good looks and killer skills on the instruments. Please welcome..." He pauses.

BOkf9Tb.jpggpmtDrD.jpgqF5DKeB.jpg

Stan: "The ROOOOCK. CIIIIITY. STAAAARRRRS!"

Ryan: "Yeah, yeah. Let's beat these old fools!"

Riley motions for the five of them to head to the ring, and to the ring they go.

RATING: 6kIbbBJ.jpg

MAIN EVENT BOUT:

TEAM ALLEN (HARRY ALLEN, BRENDAN IDOL & FORD GUMBLE) VS. TEAM MCMANUS (RILEY MCMANUS, STAN MANNA & ROCKIN' RYAN TURNER)

28UMtHj.jpgNbKrOwB.jpgbg0BVWV.jpgJtlo8Gv.jpgJwElApK.jpggpmtDrD.jpgBOkf9Tb.jpg w/ OFmOpfs.jpgqF5DKeB.jpg

Naturally, Harry Allen and Riley McManus started off the bout - or should have. As soon as the bell rung, McManus tagged out to Ryan Turner. Allen met with Turner in the center of the ring and easily took control of the flow. Allen brought Turner over to his teams' corner and kept the advantage. He tagged out to Ford Gumble, who used his years of experience to keep the young Turner down and out. The ref, Alvin Lavin, had his back turned to Team Allen's corner as Gumble and Turner wrestled into Team McManus' corner. Stan Manna slapped Turner on the back - tag being made, and entered the ring, pummeling a confused Ford and taking control. Turner rolled out of the ring. Manna kept control over Ford and got a big pop from a running bulldog out of the corner, which landed successfully. Manna showboated and played to the crowd, giving Gumble time to tag out to Brendan Idol, who came in furiously and quickly, nailing Stan in the back of the head with a big missile dropkick, then again with a basement dropkick. Idol then locked on various submission holds, all of which Manna was able to fight free from. Each raced back up to their feet and locked up into chain wrestling. It was a battle of attrition, with neither giving in. Eventually, however, Idol began to slow down and Manna backed him into Team McManus' corner. Tagging out to Riley, Manna rolled under the ropes to check on Ryan Turner. McManus dominated Idol, using his superior strength and technical work to keep the cruiserweight veteran grounded. Lavin's back turned to Team Allen's corner once again, Osiris and Streetz leaped into action, as well as the Rock City Stars. Streetz low-blowed Allen, taking him down off the apron, as Osiris did the same to Gumble. The Stars, along with Streetz, then began to beat on the two veterans while McManus kept control on the inside. Chaos ensuing at ringside, the match went on like this for about two minutes before Allen and Gumble retaliated, taking down both Manna and Turner with slams and kicks. Streetz, realizing his position, backed down and headed back to Team McManus' corner with Osiris. Allen and Ford slid into the ring, looking to help out Idol, but were met with a big double clothesline from Riley McManus, who was ready for them, leaving them down and out. McManus, seeing the opportunity, grabbed Idol up off the ground and landed a big Slingshot Suplex. Going for the pinfall.. 1... 2.... 3!...Allen bounced right off of McManus at the very last moment, just a second too late. Team McManus' celebrated on their way backstage, leaving a shaken Team Allen in the ring.

WINNERS: TEAM MCMANUS (RILEY MCMANUS, STAN "THE MAN" MANNA, ROCKIN' RYAN TURNER, STREETZ & "ROCK PRINCESS" OSIRIS)

RATING: jLRkatX.jpg

OVERALL SHOW RATING: 3AFEJs4.jpg

A good show and a great Main Event. I was proud of those 8, even though the match could only be considered average by everyone else's standards. I thought it was fantastic, and it made me look forward to seeing all of them compete again. The crowd filtered out of the arena as well as the boys did, clapping and cheering for themselves, happy with the show's results and leaving to go get drinks and such. I smiled, remembering the times when I would do the same things with my buddies in the SWF when I was young. Man, how times change.

DATE: Monday, Week 1, August 2016

HEADLINES FROM JULY!

9L43Sre.jpgqWSDcBM.jpg1IUKK5D.jpgGxdD4AA.jpgx6UOicn.jpg

Retirement seems to be a common trend within the wrestling industry this year, as the dreaded word has claimed five more careers to add to its collection. Hanshiro Furusawa, the Japanese legend, announced his complete retirement from the industry earlier in the month, while New Zealand Pitbull, Ikuko Temko, Helen Earth and Destiny called time on their in-ring careers throughout the month of July. We wish the best of luck to all of them in their future endeavors!

r3J2NES.jpg

In perhaps the biggest 'scandal' of the month, Hustler D was arrested in mid-July after being found in possession of illegal soft drugs. What drugs exactly are unknown, but no charges were pressed and it seems he managed to get out of the situation just fine, returning back to his normal work less than a week after the incident.

rVt7W9J.jpg

Popular Mexican Actor/Professional Wrestler Antonio Maxi Marquez (also known as 'Champagne Lover' to wrestling fans) recently left to begin filming a role for a major summer movie set to be released within the next two or so years. He's expected to be out for filming for the next 3 months, leaving SOTBPW scrambling for what to do without him.

dlROGFL.jpg

On another light-hearted note, it's worth mentioning that Mobumasa Saionji is going on tour with his band all over Japan. Although his music isn't to our liking, we encourage you to support the referee in his music endeavors by buying tickets to his shows here: http://www.thespunkyblowholes.com/tickets

krNzVoC.jpgJtlo8Gv.jpgE1aDa9C.jpg

On a less fun note, Empire Championship Wrestling and New York City Wrestling seem to be locked in a bitter rivalry, with company owners Eric Tyler and Larry Vessey becoming very vocal about the other on the internet and in interviews. Nobody knows what caused the problems, but it doesn't seem like they'll go away anytime soon.

Gr6AGLD.jpg & X1I50Xj.jpg

In July, CZCW and FCW owners Cliff Anderson and Puerto Rican Power met up and signed a deal stating that they would now be considered in a 'working agreement' with the other, meaning they can now share talent with each other without becoming rivals. Many speculate this could potentially mean FCW will be joining the COTT sometime soon..

BTEj4ah.jpg

In absolutely shocking news, it seems United States Pro Wrestling has dropped down in the public view, dropping down to a 'cult' size company. Hitting record lows with Live Attendances and TV Ratings during the month of July, who knows if they'll recover quickly in August?

<span style="font-size:12px;">I was a bit nervous about this match, as I'd decided to let the boys call the finish on their own. I didn't give any specifics. Collier and Turner started us off, each pacing around the ring waiting for the other to make a move. After about thirty seconds, Collier rushed Turner and pinned him onto the mat, using his superior mat wrestling skills to keep Turner firmly planted against it. Turner scrambled to try and become a free man once more, but Collier was too much for him. Collier eventually let him go and tagged out to Cameron Jones, who came flying in - pinning face-down against the mat in order to prevent Turner from tagging Stan. Jones dragged Turner away, using similar tactics to Collier, but with a bit more striking involved. Jones, letting it get to him, started showboating and despite Collier's calls to stop, he didn't - allowing Turner to tag out to Manna, who decimated Jones with a clothesline. Manna proceeded to destroy Jones bit by bit, using powerful running moves and striking hard. Manna systematically took Jones down, working on his arms and legs first before letting loose some vicious stomps on his chest. Manna tagged out to Turner, conserving his energy. The crowd was heavily involved now, booing Turner out of the building almost. It was now Jones who was desperately trying to make a tag with Turner keeping him pinned to the mat. Unfortunately for Turner, he isn't the best at keeping things on the ground and so was out-wrestled by Jones after a short struggle. Jones made a frantic tag to Collier who came storming in, locking Turner up in a series of holds and amateur wrestling moves. Collier, using his smaller stature and proficiency in this style, was able to tie Turner into all kinds of knots before he got too close to the ropes and </span><span style="font-size:12px;"><em>BAM!</em></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> - a low-blow from Osiris while Stan "The Man" Manna distracted the referee, Dewey Libertine. Both men were on the ground and were crawling towards their respective corners. They each made the tag at just the right time, allowing Jones and Manna to enter the ring - but instead of coming straight to blows, they stared holes through each other from their corners. They circled the ring, waiting for an opening to make a move. Out of nowhere, Manna came rocketing forward with a missile dropkick, going for the pinfall and... no! Jones kicked out at 2-and-a-half. A visibly distraught Manna lined up for another, only to be avoided and then caught with a Fisherman's Suplex from Jones. Pinfall. 1... 2... Thr- no! Manna kicks out at the last possible moment. Jones picks up Manna and lines him up for a different move - and </span><span style="font-size:12px;"><em>BAM!</em></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> a Chop And Change connects, taking Manna to the mat as Libertine slid into position for the count. One... Two...! THREE! The crowd erupted into cheers as the bell rung and Jones rolled off of Manna, triumphant. Ryan Turner and Osiris met up with Manna as he slid out of the ring, the trio looking upset, as Jones and Collier celebrated their NEW World Tag Title reigns inside the ring. It truly was a proud moment for the two youngsters.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">A great way to start the show and, not the ending I had expected. I didn't expect the Stars to put over the Express like that. It truly had me amazed. Some guys are just that great. I set up everything for the next bout as Jones & Collier returned to the backstage area.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">The bell rung and they clashed in the center of the squared circle. Each man was similar in height and strength and because of that, neither was able to take initial control. Eventually the match swung into Philippe LaGrenier's favour, the Canadian using several powerful brawling moves to 'soften' Avatar. He even hit his signature Quebec Arrow, though Avatar kicked out at two. LaGrenier tried his best, but his best just wasn't enough as Avatar inevitably swung the match back into his favour and decimated LaGrenier, finishing him off with an All American Slam to end the match.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Good match. Not as good as the opener, but I doubt any of the other matches will be.. except maybe the Main Event. Avatar celebrated his win as we darkened the arena in preparation for an upcoming angle.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Tabitha was standing around the catering area, when all of a sudden two young, good-lookin' studs approached her.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>JOHNNY:</strong></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> "Say, Tab... what say you come with us down to that ring for our upcoming match?" Johnny slid over to her, smiling.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>TABITHA:</strong></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> "Why should I do that when I've got plenty of other things I could be doing?.. <span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>RALPH:</strong></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> "Oh yeah, like what? You've clearly got nobody else you could be talking to right now." Ralph shrugged, snickering.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>TABITHA:</strong></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> "Who says I need anybody else around to be doing important things here?" She realized they'd caught her out and unless she could save herself they'd be on her like hounds.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>JOHNNY:</strong></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> "It's the wrestling industry. You don't do 'important' things unless people are around, otherwise you're wasting your time being here. Now, are you with us or not?" He got serious, glaring.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>TABITHA:</strong></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> "W-Why should I hang out with a coupl'a punks who call themselves the 'Heartbreak Express'? Sounds like a lose-lose deal for me, no matter how you look at it."</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>RALPH:</strong></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> "Maybe you'll be the first one to not have her fragile heart broken, eh?" Ralph slid closer to her, pushing up her chin with his finger. She reddened in the face a little, then backed off.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>TABITHA:</strong></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> "Tell ya what, you win that match of yours and sure - I'll go with you starting next month! <span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>JOHNNY:</strong></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> "Works for us. We're winning anyways. C'mon, Ralph, let's go de-stroy some jabroni's."</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Although the build up was solid, the match itself was nothing special - in fact, one of the worst New England Wrestling had ever seen. The boys' shortcomings were only highlighted by the crowd, who were visibly and audibly not interested. The match ended about 6 minutes in, when Johnny Needham put away Melvin Otto with The Score. No in-ring story to be told here, just four guys who need to improve just a bit.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">A bad match following this card's worst match, unfortunately all three of these men were all over the place, with A-D-B noticeably being off his a-game again, performing inconsistently and making the bout worse overall. Luckily, Queen pinned Ramone after a Q-Ball for the win, after about 9 and a half minutes of this nonsense.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">In what you would expect to be a good match, the two veterans severely underperformed and left an already uninterested crowd even more displeased. The match itself wasn't too bad, but it definitely wasn't anything groundbreaking. A good effort, but an off night for both men meant it was doomed from the start. Idol won with an Idolizer after 9 minutes of wrestling.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">The bell rung and the match was good from the get-go. Both men, who viewed themselves as underutilized, underrated performers who should be at the top of the NEW mountain, made that clear as they clashed with chain wrestling maneuvers and things such as running and aerial attacks. The two men's styles meshed well and although no noticeable chemistry was there, they at least bounced off each other well and were able to put on a good show. After twelve minutes of back-and-forth action, Raphael finished Smooth off with a surprise Cupid's Arrow for the pinfall win.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">WINNER: RAPHAEL</span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">A good match from two solid performers! I was pleased, and the crowd was too. The crowd was getting involved again. I got into position and ordered one of our few camera-men to follow Raphael back into the backstage area. We had planned this just earlier today, as I had realized that although I didn't want to, I'd have to appear 'on-screen' with these guys if I really wanted to help them get noticed. </span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>ANGLE #2:</strong></span></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">I turned to face away from the curtain as Raphael came through the it with the camera guy right on his tail. He grabbed me by the shoulder and whipped me around.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>ME:</strong></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> "Y'know, most guys would get fired for doing something like that, Raph, but... I'm not like most bosses. <span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>RAPH:</strong></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> "Listen, Mr. Faith,"</span></p><p> </p><p>

"You just saw that match, right?"</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>ME:</strong></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> "Hmph.." I stroked my chin. "I suppose I may have."</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>RAPH:</strong></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> "Yeah, well you see that? That's me. Winning. Just as I will continue doing. I swear. But, for now, I'll settle for you," Again, the arrogance. It was believable and he was snarky enough to get even me to dislike it a bit. "Anyways, lemme get to the point, I want a World Heavyweight title shot next month, y'know, in September?"</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>ME:</strong></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> "....Huh.." I smirked. "I'm sorry, pal, but I'm afraid you ain't quite there yet, so I'll have to say no." I rested a hand on his shoulder and went to turn away when he brushed it off. I could feel the hole he was burning through the back of my head. I turned around, putting on a 'pissed off' look.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>RAPH:</strong></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> "Not good enough? Is that what you're saying, dude? I'm one of NEW's best! You know it! They know it! Everybody in the goddamn locker room knows it! There ain't no stoppin' me, and I will be the best! You watch! So, I will get that World Title shot, with or without your consent!" A figure walked into view behind him, and my eyes lit up as if I had a great idea.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>ME:</strong></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> "Tell ya what, I'll give you that shot.." I paused, and he grinned. "On one condition.. you'll have to defeat the man standing the hall behind you.. in a singles match... no, a cage match! You defeat him </span><span style="font-size:12px;"><em>next month</em></span><span style="font-size:12px;">, and you've got your world title match."</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Raphael turned around slowly, with the camera man doing the same, to reveal the figure.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">The bell rung and McManus took Gumble head on in the center of the ring. McManus, with his superior technical abilities and Gumble, with his brawling style. Gumble took early control, using his experience to try and out-wrestle the younger, less-experienced McManus. Unfortunately, experience doesn't dictate everything as soon enough, McManus took control of the match and after five minutes of McManus domination, he finished Gumble off with a Slingshot Suplex for the pinfall.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>ART REED!</strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;">Indy wrestling legend Art Reed made his way down to the ring and, upon entering, they were off to the races. The bell rung and the two veterans clashed, showing wrestling brilliance along with good, old-school crowd working. Art began to dominate Allen, and at about the eleven minute mark, began showboating - allowing Allen to make a comeback and floor him with dropkicks. Allen continued to beat on Reed until he decided Reed was weakened enough and climbed the top ropes. Playing to the crowd while he waited for Reed to rise to his feet, Allen had cheers everywhere. Reed rose up and </span><span style="font-size:12px;"><em>BAM!</em></span><span style="font-size:12px;"> he took a Flying Fist Drop to the face. Allen went for the pinfall and 1... 2... 3..! He retained his title. He celebrated his victory alongside Reed, with fans cheering and clapping all around for the two veterans. <span style="font-size:12px;">A good show, although it had a lackluster mid-card section, the overall show wasn't hurt too bad, thanks to a stellar opening and great conclusion. The fans and wrestlers filtered out of the arena and eventually I, too, followed suit.</span></p></div><p></p><p></p>

Good show. A bit surprised that a match between Reed and the champ scored so low but sometimes that’s just TEW. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Rockin' Ryan Turner, of Rhode Island Pro Wrestling and New England Wrestling fame, recently announced that he will be going on tour with his band in November 2016. Tickets and shows can be found here at: http://www.BadIdeasSell.com

Founded in Kinki, Japan, was the new company known only as INFINITY Wrestling, an all-women's company headed by the likes of Shino Ko and Kuniyoshi Chishu. Already holding some of their first shows, INFINITY look set to bring forth a revolution into the Joshi wrestling scene.

NOTBPW recently bolstered their women's division, bringing in the likes of Emma Bitch, Suzanne Brazzle, Sara Marie York and Jaime Quine to revitalize the ranks of the division. Many have high hopes for these performers, though who knows which of them will actually succeed in NOTBPW?

tMe9FIb.jpg

The ever-controversial DeColt family member Steve DeColt made even more waves in the wrestling industry this past month, when it was announced that he had left NOTBPW in favor of joining the glamorous TV world of the Supreme Wrestling Federation. He has yet to make an on-screen debut, but many believe he'll find no problems succeeding in the SWF.

Large Japanese company Burning Hammer Of The Wrestling Gods (BHOTWG) recently saw a collapse in attendances and revenue, officially falling from their status as a National competitor to what we here at the website classify as a company with Cult-sized followings. We're sure they'll be able to bounce back soon enough, but who knows?

Whilst BHOTWG may have fallen, Golden Canvas Grappling has seen a rise in attendances. Rising from being a Regional-level competitor to now being at the brink of National level status alongside BHOTWG, GCG is looking set for the future.

Following her in-ring retirement, April Appleseed has begun accepting work to act as a Road Agent and, she has even opened up her own training school, the aptly named April Appleseed Training School, which is based out of the New England area and is looking to accept students starting this month.

Certainly a way you could keep Allen strong and have him lose the title. While its a goos way to stary a feud I dont see Otto and Williams win.

NEW ENGLAND WRESTLING PRESENTS: WHERE STARS ARE BORN 2016

676 Fans at Generic Venue, New England

sI5JTp4.jpg

bg0BVWV.jpgNbKrOwB.jpg

igUucjf.jpg

One step into the backstage area and two things caught my attention immediately. First off, Ford Gumble was pissed. Out of the corner of my eye I saw one Brendan Idol laughing his ass off as Gumble emptied what I presumed to be pudding out of his boots, which he had just tried to put on, meaning his feet were covered in the stuff. Before Gumble could dare harm the skinny prick I handed Idol a piece of paper he did not like. A fine. $750 to be exact. Essentially, he's only getting paid around 100 bucks to work tonight's Main Event.

The second thing to catch my attention was the smell of waffles in the air and a couple of the boys chowing down on some pre-show waffles. Philippe LaGrenier, the nice old bloke, had set up his own waffle bar free of charge in the backstage area to treat the boys. Good on him. Might give him a little extra in his pay tonight to thank him. I also immediately noticed Austin Smooth eating his waffles alone. It didn't take much, but I directed him into the direction of one Cameron Jones. As far as I know, I don't think they've ever said a word to each other. The two became fast friends and that was my nugget of kindness for the night. I headed to my Designated Agent's Zone and took a look out at the fans who were filing into the venue.

A slightly larger crowd than last time. Good. The boys need to keep on performing in front of bigger crowds, no matter how much bigger they may be. I am looking forward to seeing how these bouts turn out tonight. The World Title match is the one I'm looking forward to the most, however. Dewey Libertine gave me the all-clear and the show got underway.

OPENING BOUT:

FORD GUMBLE VS. ARTHUR DEXTER BRADLEY

bg0BVWV.jpgJtlo8Gv.jpgVHW95uw.jpg

A classic case of Veteran Vs. Rookie, although in this scenario the Veteran was leagues ahead of the Rookie. A-D-B was noticeably underperforming again. Gumble was off a little but he at least performed well enough to keep A-D-B from ruining the match. At the 9-and-a-half minute mark, Gumble ended A-D-B's nonsense with a Savate Kick, pinning him for the victory.

WINNER: FORD GUMBLE

RATING: wvRCqct.jpg

An alright match to start off the show, I waited as Gumble, who was still visibly irritated from Idol's earlier prank, and probably more-so from having a 'bad' opening bout, stormed up the entry way and into the backstage area. I sent for the next match to start.

LOWER MIDCARD BOUT:

THE DYNAMITE EXPRESS VS. MELVIN OTTO & BEN WILLIAMS

If Otto & Williams Win They'll Receive Tag Title Shots NEXT MONTH!

eHDrrIZ.jpgLxUmW7w.jpgJtlo8Gv.jpg99hnlqA.jpgunFgGe5.jpg

This was a battle of Brains versus Goliath (and David?), straight from the opening bell. The much more well-rounded duo of Collier and Jones had no issues taking on Otto & Williams, with their goal being to keep Otto out of the match as long as possible. Of course, Otto still got the occasional bit of offense, but it wasn't long before a needy little boy named Benny would tag himself in and get decimated. The match lasted longer than expected, going for just under 14 minutes when Collier finally put Williams out of his misery with a masterfully done Texas Cloverleaf.

WINNERS: THE DYNAMITE EXPRESS

RATING: ZQObLrB.jpg

A bit better than the opening bout, this match really showed how well The Dynamite Express can perform together, being able to drag a decent match out of the likes of Otto & Williams. They celebrated while we here in the backstage area prepared the next bout.

LOWER MIDCARD BOUT:

WOOTON FITZPAINE VS. CAL SANDERS

B0og2oI.jpgJtlo8Gv.jpgwG8omPG.jpg

Saying this match wasn't evenly contested would be an understatement. It was obvious that Fitzpaine was the favorite going in, towering over Sanders like a beast. However, Sanders was able to use his small stature to his advantage, taking on the giant Fitzpaine from all angles with his aerial offense and being able to out-smart the country boy easily. Fitzpaine ended up being the underdog by the end, but at the 9 minute mark Sanders pinned Fitzpaine following a Frog Splash.

WINNER: CAL SANDERS

RATING: Uom2i0k.jpg

Sanders celebrated winning his first match here in NEW, and I quietly congratulated him from the back. Everything was set up for the next bout, which looked to be even better than Sanders V. Fitzpaine.

MIDCARD BOUT:

ROCKIN' RYAN TURNER VS. JACK AVATAR

BOkf9Tb.jpgJtlo8Gv.jpg4aHgMXT.jpg

The bell rung, and the two men with very different styles of wrestling clashed in the center of the ring. Turner took advantage early, a shocker to many fans in attendance, who boo'ed him religiously. Avatar, using these boo's and some cheer's as a motivator, was able to out-wrestle Turner in the corner and take control of the match. The ultimate comeback, per se. Avatar made quick work of Turner and in just under 10 minutes finished the match with an All American Slam.

WINNER: JACK AVATAR

RATING: mlfbsA2.jpg

Jack keeps his undefeated streak, now being 8-0 here in NEW. Good man. The next bout was one I was iffy on, but I was willing to try and having it in the middle of the show like this shouldn't hurt anything too bad, right?

UPPER MIDCARD BOUT:

RICOCHET RAMONE VS. RALPH LIOTTA

WGZqerd.jpgJtlo8Gv.jpgzPwNMyB.jpg

I gambled, and I lost. Ramone was way off his game tonight and was spotty and inconsistent, unfortunately, which just took away from the bout. Liotta tried his best to cover up Ramone's terrible performance but was unable to hide it - due to being a rookie himself. Ramone mercifully ended it in just over 9 minutes after finally hitting a Ricochet Senton for the pinfall.

WINNER: RICOCHET RAMONE

RATING: 3Dq6jVl.jpg

Disappointed, I sent out the next match hoping for something much better. I can't blame Ramone, because this is the first time he's really had a terrible performance, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. I also can't blame Liotta, because I gambled on him and how green he is really showed, which isn't his fault.

UPPER MIDCARD BOUT:

RAPHAEL VS. GIANT BRODY

If Raphael Wins He'll Receive A World Heavyweight Title Shot NEXT MONTH!

yUjtn7H.jpgJtlo8Gv.jpg5lLJOBL.jpg

To say this match wasn't hard to watch would be a terrible lie. Brody just dominated Raphael, beating him down and whipping him around like some kind of rag doll. Raphael didn't even get the least bit of offense in, instead just selling the beating like he was being whipped around by a Great White Shark instead of a rather large man. Brody finished the job he began last month with a Single-Handed Choke Slam at just over 6 minutes into the match. Raphael was motionless for about 30 seconds afterwards while Brody pinned him with his foot.

WINNER: GIANT BRODY

RATING: mlfbsA2.jpg

A good match. Brody reached the backstage first, taking no time to celebrate in the ring, and I handed him his money. He accepted it, thanking me, and headed on his way. That match told me I could rely on him for future one-offs like that. We set everything up for the Main Event as Raphael came backstage. I put a hand on his shoulder and told him it'd all pay off eventually. It wasn't for naught, you could say.

MAIN EVENT BOUT:

oIDI3qM.jpg

HARRY ALLEN © VS. RILEY MCMANUS VS. AUSTIN SMOOTH VS. BRENDAN IDOL VS. PHILIPPE LAGRENIER VS. STAN "THE MAN" MANNA

NEW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE 6-MAN ELIMINATION MATCH

28UMtHj.jpgJtlo8Gv.jpgJwElApK.jpgJtlo8Gv.jpgWlTMHhx.jpgJtlo8Gv.jpgNbKrOwB.jpgJtlo8Gv.jpgigUucjf.jpgJtlo8Gv.jpggpmtDrD.jpg

The six men eyed one another as the bell rang and chaos ensued. A lot of back and forth action before everyone targeted the champ and essentially took him out of the match, leaving him on the outside of the ring while everyone else began brawling again. LaGrenier, who was dealing out heavy hits to Austin Smooth in the corner, ended up being the first man eliminated after Riley McManus hit him with a Slingshot Suplex from behind. Down to five, with Allen still on the outside of the ring, the remaining four battled it out in the ring. Allen re-entered the match, hitting Brendan Idol with a missile dropkick but being unable to eliminate him just yet. McManus targeted Allen, bringing him into the corner where they went back and forth for a few minutes. During the time, Stan Manna was able to hit his signature Rockin' Roller on Austin Smooth, eliminating him with a pinfall. McManus turned away from Allen and towards the other two, allowing Allen to catch his breath and roll to the outside. Idol, Manna and McManus faced off before breaking into a brawl. McManus was knocked down by Manna but a missile dropkick from behind took Manna down. Idol went for the pinfall and eliminated Stan Manna shortly thereafter. McManus and Idol, each rising to their feet, faced off in the center of the ring. McManus inevitably out-wrestled Idol and eventually hit the Slingshot Suplex. Taunting a little bit, McManus then went for the pinfall. During Idol's elimination, Harry Allen climbed the top of the turnbuckle directly behind McManus and waited for him to stand. He did, and he turned around and BAM!, he took a Flying Fist Drop to the forehead. Allen covered him for the 1, 2, 3! and secured another title defense in his reign.

WINNER: HARRY ALLEN (6th TITLE DEFENCE!)

RATING: UL7NlAb.jpg

OVERALL SHOW RATING: xo3fH3p.jpg

Good show, and a great Main Event. Hopefully I can continue to work out some kinks for next month.. speaking of which, I still don't know what to call it. Meh.

I stopped some of the boys (LaGrenier, Allen and Raphael), and praised them each. LaGrenier for his kindness, Allen for his performance, and Raphael because I was proud of his match with Brody, even if he came out of it looking weaker, then I let them all go home for the night.
