Derek B
Has anyone yet said that they are going to read the handbook? People should definitely do that.
HiPlus
Ha! I prefer to make a myriad of mistakes and errors and complain when the game doesnt make sense to me. Then when I come across a comment or figure something out myself 6 months later I can be like. "Oh my god, it was so obvious."
Blackman
Has anyone yet said that they are going to read the handbook? People should definitely do that. Well, I assumed the thread meant: "what's the first specific thing ...". Everyone should read the manual. That being said: nowadays people read manuals less and less, at least that's my impression. It can be a true time-saver, but people just don't seem to want it. I'm also quilty of it, and prefer the ol' trial and error gameplay and just reload the save before running the show, like if there was a road agent note I didn't know. I sometimes did it as well when the "perfect show" completely disintegrated and you get C+ main events because your co-main was "too good" and your show basically tanks, which I thought was a bit unfair. You're not gonna drop to cult level because your main events are worse than your co-mains. I'm obviously not going to do it every time something "bad" happens, as I'd lose interest in the save very quickly that way.
Capelli King
I exclusive play real-world mods, so I suppose the first thing I'll be doing is waiting to see which one of these releases first. I might have to do some comparison though, as I want to play as a UK company and try and sign only talent from the British Isles to begin with. Does anyone know which real-world mod is the best for amount of choice and quality of realism in the UK by any chance? I generally feels the Cverse works better for the game. The RW mods are very slow on the loading times and running WWE is like working a full time job (unless you cut it down to a more reasonable roster). pbadics
Check out ZEN and of course add my own IWA(Independent Wrestling Association) to the database.

Finally, really learned how to play the game while playing as ZEN so will probably always have a soft spot for them.
shawn_waters
As I’ve done since 2013, start a demo game with MAW, and spend hours just looking at all the database updates/changes, before actually getting around to playing. Once the full game drops I’ll probably play RIPW (or another dev company if one is added), purely because playing as a dev fed has been high on my list for a long time now. Bigpapa42
Has anyone yet said that they are going to read the handbook? People should definitely do that. I, for one, will definitely start out by reading the handbook. Excellent advice, Derek.
BasicThuganomics
I think when the trial comes out I'll finally delve into the C-Verse and get a feel for the new features. Once the full game is out, I'll either be readily equipped with the knowledge to start a fun historical real world save, or I'll continue my C-Verse. Either way - I'm very excited! DAVEFAN95
Has anyone yet said that they are going to read the handbook? People should definitely do that. I usually read through some of it, mostly new features. It's a really good resource that usually gets overlooked.
misterioso
Has anyone yet said that they are going to read the handbook? People should definitely do that. Trial and error at first is pretty much how I always do it. Nothing quite like my first couple of saves where everything goes to hell. Jomosensual
It looks like the answer for RW mods is going to be be doing a ton of updating for WWE people today
EddieFnG
Wait for a good real world mod, and do a game as a dev fed.
TheZies
Has anyone yet said that they are going to read the handbook? People should definitely do that. I will say it. I plan on making it my nightly reading before bed. lol
pbadics
I will say it. I plan on making it my nightly reading before bed. lol I wonder if the dev would be up for releasing it a little early? Give us a chance to start hitting the books(going to be a lot of reading) while we can't play currently.
franticloser
With what happened today, I might convert over one of the modern mods and make the changes and play as a smaller company. I think this shakes up the scene a bit and the in game universe doesn't have a pandemic to worry about.
Munit
I've been thinking about it, and I think I'm going to start with a big company in Japan. After I'm done with that I'll make my own smaller fed and try to get them to blow up. I'm actually working on the graphics for my own custom cverse company. ZonaCidal
I can’t wait for this release. The first thing I’m going to do is check out the rosters and my favorite wrestlers.
Dr_Avalanche
I'm gonna go looking for inspiration. I am super curious to see how the scene has changed between 2016 and 2020 in the game, if there is something interesting going on with the joshi scene in Japan that might be where I go first. BDC212
For me, it'll be reading really. I'll probably add myself in the game world like I always do and spruce that up, but mostly I'll be looking at the profiles of the workers and try to look at the character changes for the last 4 years or so. Untouchable
Gonna book a cinematic match because it's genuinely a massive addition especially because of how quickly it was added.

adam.TEW
Haven't touched TEW in 5 years and never touched the C-Verse either, so I guess I will just pick my first ever save and go from there, focus on wrestling rather than promos and angles for the most part. I want it to be challenging tbh, I don't like starting with much of a safety net and huge stars that I have to rely on, so ... I'll make up my decision in 2 days. One question. How big is the market free agent-wise? Is there the possibility to completely lose oneself in scouting talent like how it is with other sports manager-games? Is there a sufficient amount of free young talent roaming the C-Verse (something that I think is badly missing in the real world outside of the 3 major promotions in the US at least). In 2016 there was a deep free agent pool, especially in North America and Japan. You can scout talent and add to your shortlist to easily revisit them.
