<p>Getting a lot of Referee and road agents being over used and possibly effecting their performance warnings.</p><p> </p><p>

Anybody know if there are stats that affect how much work they can do? or have a guide to how long they can work for?</p>

I am playing as CILL with only one referee and he can do five or six matches before the penalty. He’s a good referee too.</p>

From testing, people with better stats can do slightly more (the two I was looking at both had 100 experience but the 2nd had better psychology and respect; I assume it was probably the psychology which was the major factor in letting him do more.)</p><p> </p><p> Handbook also states angles are more draining than matches, just as a reminder, btw.</p>

Just got an email about their not being enough big names on my previous show, the show featured 5 'stars', 1 'major star' and only had 4 matches,

I think this basically boils down to not enough of your guys being over enough compared to the size of your promotion. They may be considered stars compared to the rest of your roster but that doesn't necessarily mean they're big names in the grand scheme of things. Fans of your own company might know they're main event level talents, but casual fans will be thinking "who're these guys?".

Get those 5 'stars' to 'major' level. D-Lyrium is correct (of course) and it happens at all sizes. I took QAW to Small (from Tiny) and got the same note. It disappeared once I got more major stars.

This note is different from the usual 'lack of big names'. This was specific to the show I ran, the show didn't feature enough of my major stars

Is there a way to raise popularioty faster? In other words if I do an awesome show, will it ever rise by say more than just one percentage point?

 

Obviously (or not? I wouldn't know!) you can add customized stage, music performances and whatnot in the Edit Event screen for non-TV show events but I'm afraid to my knowledge you must just embrace the grind for the early portion of your save. Put on the best shows you can and keep checking your requirements to grow to the next size. If you're smashing show after show in the same area, you might need to start focusing on gains in other cities/states. Eventually you'll be able to secure a TV show and a pay-per-view deal which will significantly boost your popularity gains. As your workers have better matches with each other, they will individually rise in popularity and in turn rise your companies popularity as a whole when they become bigger draws.

Thanks for the quick reply brother. The grind is the best part overall, it will make the moment when LCW (Low Country Wrestling) gains Titanic size and dethrones USPW all the more worth it.

Honestly, take your time! It is very easy to become indecisive later in game and want to hot potato the belts around - it was then that I realized that my biggest draws ended up being projects that I had been building up slowly that'll come in and take the top spot in one clean swoop and then take me up to the next company size. There's no definitive answer other than keep being creative, take note of what works and what doesn't and the game will reward you for not making stupid decisions over time.

 

That being said, this is a sandbox and you're free to make stupid decisions :p but multiple projects on your under card while trying keeping your main eventers competitive with each other will leave you with a younger selection of guys that you've learnt how to book through trial and error that aren't charging you an arm and a leg per show! Those are the guys that will get you where you want to be - try using your established workers to get newer talented signings over! Big stars = crowds and ratings so you're going to want to try and build as many as you can and not rely on what cards you're dealt from your first show.

 

Wrestling companies are ever-changing and throwing ideas at the wall to see if they'll stick, keep experimenting~ if you're truly desperate to squeeze all the popularity you can out of the two months the demo gives you, you could always run a bunch of lesser-important events in between your weeklies/monthlies. If I have a TV show on Monday and a pay-per-view on Saturday, sometimes I'll set up a "special" lesser event on the Wednesday to give all my workers a small momentum bump before the big blow-off. A small decision like that could end up benefiting in +5 match ratings and a boost to attendance while everyone on the card is peaking in pop. Using a red hot roster will always result in bigger pop gains from events.

that's really a problem, TV show would have been much more important to me than the events.

 

we should write that into the troubleshooting area ;)

Yeah, a lot of people make this mistake forgetting that the biggest stars (the legit ones) don't need a belt to be draws. In his prime, the Undertaker didn't need a belt to be "The Undertaker". Mitsuharu Misawa was a draw whether he was holding a belt or not. He didn't need a belt to validate him, he validated the belt. I've always felt that belts should be used to develop characters, not to 'make' talent.

 

MrJeeps, the only way to speed up growth is really to run more shows. If you're in a hurry to get larger, that's the primary way to go about it. It's been a long running strat in TEW to run weekly shows that all add popularity. If your finances allow it, doing more than one is an obvious benefit in that regard. But even if you could put on 100 rated shows at 33 popularity, the gains are capped so it wouldn't make you earn say 15 popularity in one fell swoop. So it really doesn't make sense to shoot for that.

So Legacies have been tweaked such that there's a chance workers with 'Yes As a Legacy' set, between the ages of 30-50, will generate a successor.

 

If a worker retires without ever having generated a successor, will they still create one if they fit the criteria?

 

If a worker hits 50 before retiring, and didn't generate a successor, will they create one then?

 

I'm curious as to whether the guarantee still exists or if there's a chance worthy mask holders may just never be passed on because RNG didn't roll in their favour.
