Public Beta Reaction Thread

Recommended Posts

Just as a heads-up, there's a tech support forum for bug reports - I know Adam reads all threads there so it may be a good idea to post your issue there as well in case it gets lost in this thread.

Thank you for the info on that. I actually came to realize that I hadn't updated the beta yet, and once I did that it fixed the issue. So my problem actually has already been fixed, whatever it was.

Oh, awesome - glad it’s fixed :)

Wasn't sure whether to raise this in the Tech Support forum because it may be a glitch that's been fixed in one of the patches so thought I'd raise it here instead incase anyone was aware or was having the same issue: People I signed to Exclusive Written contracts with Iron Clad deals remain working for their previous employer while also working for me? IE. I signed Fuyuko Higa to TCW and she is on my shows but also retains her Handshake deal with 5SSW and continues to do shows for them.

How long have you waited? I think they stay at their old company now for 28 days instead of 7 to allow them to clean up old storylines.

For all we know someone could come on and release it Monday. I think your the one panicking here, thinking it has to be two weeks since that was his estimate, but I promise when he feels confident it's ready, it will be released. Want to know something else? You know, I was at first a little annoyed at how negligible popularity gains have been, but the more I think about it, the more I like it. It's still a bit annoying, but I'm turning around on the challenge it's going to present for companies like TCW that are sort of in that cult level with over guys and not-so-over guys.

With just two months to work with, it's hard to see any real progress with overness gains right now, and while that seemed frustrating at first I'v come to realize that it's really realistic. It's really rare for anyone to blow up out of nowhere. And while I may want to push Nick Booth hard, as far as the fans the fans are concerned he's still just a low man on the totem pole. A few wins in a two month span aren't enough to really move the needle for him and get him in a higher position, because two months of wins isn't really a push unless it's over top guys. Him beating guys around his level and winning tag matches isn't going to make the fans see him as much more than he ever was.

This is kind of a ramble-y post, I know, but I think it's important to highlight things that have changed a bit from previous games in the series and how they more accurately mirror reality like this one does.

Just on this point... have you started a new save since Patch #6 or #7 when the momentum system was fixed? Because from what I can see, it makes a HUGE difference.

I'm still getting used to the whole contract situation. It's so weird that a worker on a written deal can still sign elsewhere. Obviously that's on me for forgetting to offer and exclusive written deal. Just force of habit seeing written and thinking they're exclusive to me.

I like that broadcasters are cheaper to build and that we can build more than one. Now I can do things exactly how I wanted to in 16, have a free to air broadcaster for my TV shows and a pay-per-view broadcaster for events.

This is the dumbest and most dismissive post I've seen yet in this thread and that's saying something

Going to disagree with you there, having seen issues constantly getting fixed which you may not have realised if you haven't looked at the world over the course of numerous two month saves. For example, up until the last patch, tiny companies could put on a couple of dozen sensationally good shows in the first 2 months but in a bad industry not gain any popularity at all, which was ridiculous and would have probably turned players of Road To Glory or smaller feds off the game if they'd been unlucky enough to start with a poor industry.

I will say I was VERY vocal on here with my displeasure of the game, but, I’m going to give credit where credit is due and salute Adam for all the hard work he’s put in this past week. We’ll probably hit 11 patches today and the amount of work he’s had to have done these past few days is unprecedented.

Adam, thank you for listening to your fan base and thank you for delivering on your word that you will do your best to iron out any bugs and glitches while still upgrading and improving features.

I can’t wait for the full game to drop. Hopefully before the 14th with the amazing progress being made. Thanks for all you’ve been doing for us!!

<p>I feel a lot better about this game than I was previously, so I'm really happy about the work done thus far. Something that I would love to see is scrolling specifically for the booking screens. It would speed booking up significantly, so that would be super awesome.</p><p> </p><p>

That said, my friend and I are playing a save where he's WWF:PC and I'm WWF so that's super cool to be able to do that.</p>
