<p>Awesome, okay. I've done it. RAW World has just debuted <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Looks fairly easy to upgrade it over time too. Just gotta save those Dingo Dollars!</p>

So, ASN don't let me negotiate with anyone in Oceania who I meet the criteria for.

Nobody outside Oceania will allow negotiations with me, because I don't meet the criteria.

Am I just stuck in a holding pattern?

Even internet subscriptions like OnDem, ASN block because they're shown in Oceania too.

I had this problem in 2016 that had me eventually abandon the game. You may be screwed here.

EDIT: nope, looks like you’re not!

So guys, talk to me about expansion for RAW...

Obviously in my diary, I'm not too fussed about ever expanding. But at the same time, I like having the 'game' element of the game still at play, while I write my stories and have fun.

So. With that in mind. What are the best ways you guys can see of expanding RAW into other countries? I don't really want a PPV deal right now, as I have this vision of RAW as a TV Show, where they have 8-12 monthly 'special' episodes. But no PPV.

I think the end goal for you should be Netstream and direct competition with USPW for world supremacy via a pure episodic (no events at all) model. That's what I'd go for if I booked RAW.

Thanks for the advice on whether to restart or not.

I chose to restart, there were a few other things I wanted to change or do slightly better, but all in all loving the feel of the company.

It's the company and save I play when I feel i wanna be a little more loose and goofy with my booking.

<p>How has everybody got on with increasing entertainment stats?</p><p> </p><p>

I've posted this elsewhere but would be useful to see people in the exact same boat as me. </p><p> </p><p>

On my save, I've probably have about 65/70 minutes of promo time every show, but 5 months in 99% of the roster haven't gone up a single point, I've posted to see whether this is a bug or some mistake that can be patched. But I thought I'll check here as if a bunch of you HAVE seen decent increases then perhaps I'm going something wrong. </p><p> </p><p>

In general I know how to increase stats, I could do it well in 2016 and I've read the helpfile etc. But perhaps I'm missing something. I hope so anyway!</p>

I'm in the same boat as you know buddy. Hoping to get some clarity on this from an expert of some kind.

Matty Wills has improved well, and then two others a tiny bit... But everyone else's 'entertainment' stats haven't moved!!

In my RAW game there are barely any improvements about 7 months in. I haven't played this save post 1.09 though. According to the change log, it is no longer just angles that improve entertainment.

In my SWF game however, pretty much anyone who is used regularly has improved their entertainment skills. I'm about 4 months in, 3 of which post 1.09. Biggest single skill increase was Lenny Brown's acting which has improved by 3 points. In other cases charisma, microphone and acting improved by 2 points.

So, either I got extremely lucky or the problem is already fixed.

Quick question that is sort of RAW specific. What are the advantages of a TV show over a weekly event model that? Assuming both are on the same station.

I ask because popularity growth is MUCH faster in events (and for some reason that I can't at all understand this has just been made stronger as the latest patch has made pop growth on TV slower).

But I'd assume TV shows have some benefit? Or at least is there some reason why running 4 events a month is a bad idea?

While I don't play RAW I do have some advice for those who do; hire Monday Next. I talked him into working (and moving) to USA and he's my number three heel. Good ring skills and better entertainment skills. Not bad for a guy I originally brought over to job and help raise my face guy's mic skills via promos.

I've been thunkin it over and would it be befitting of RAW to host occasional big shows as televised events on A.S.N?

i just want to so i can shave someones head in a future game (its either gonna be Blake or Loxley, both only want to shave their heads at an event) but it'd be a cool idea having to build towards a grandly spectacular wrestlemania/summerslam type show.

I picture it like a soap on TV and it would be sort of strange (although I imagine not unprecedented) to see one do that. I also just like the challenge of only doing the 48 weekly episodes each year. </p><p> </p><p> That said, like my question above suggest, it does feel like the game really hurts this schedule. It feels like the whole idea of TV in the game is only supposed to be used in the traditional TV building to PPV sense. And this hair thing (and reluctance to take bumps) is a perfect example. Yes I get in WWE someone might not want to shave their head on RAW and ask for it to be on a bigger stage. But if a promotion was only TV it makes sense that the importance of the weekly shows is more important just by the fact that there isn't anything MORE important than them. </p><p> </p><p> My point being, that even though I would shy away from events, when the game gets in the way of things like that, I'd maybe just go for it.</p>

<p>Something like RAW is absolutely perfect for running hair vs hair matches on TV (and look at all those fancy hairdos, theyre basically asking for a hair v hair match anyway <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />)</p><p> </p><p>

I wish there was a way I didn't need to mess with the event formulae a little bit (nor use the editor...i don't remember if the ingame editor allows you to make someone bald or not) but...ah well. I'll still play through RAW anyways.</p>

Looking for some assistance booking RAW.

I'm going to be booking an Anti-Australia gimmick where two British wrestlers (ideally a tag team) to come in as Ambassadors to Australia but will be typical smarmy British heels, unsure who to bring in though.

Can't be anyone from 21CW.

The northern lights in SNP are a quality tag team. You could bring them in and see if Landon Mallory will come over too and form a solid heel stable.

Funnily enough, i did bring them in, i was considering another team but I'll pull the trigger on them!

Doing a Local to Global in the British Isles and I recommend grabbing Darin Fylnn who usually is dropped by 21CW halfway in the year of 2020 most times, Jon Michael Sharp and Martin Heath are two others who do great work for me

I'll see if i can bring them over too, not necessarily for the Ambassador group but mainly cos they would be solid hands.

Inspired by Christmas Ape’s AMAZING diary (seriously, go read it if you haven’t already), I’ve decided to start up a new RAW save, I just love this company so much and it’s the only C’Verse one I play.

So I thought I’d fire this thread back up at the same time. How has YOUR RAW save progressed? What have you done with it and what’s the most interesting things that have happened?

I’ve played the first month of 2020 so far and here’s my high points:

- my user character is Professor Avatar (the bald one with the beard) but renamed to “Rince Vusso” who’s currently running in as a Masked Man and attacking Swoop every show. He’s about to start his own faction once he reveals who he is, probably called TNA or S.E.X or something like that (if you know, you know).

- Swoop faces Frogue for the TV Title next week after he beat Rahmel Goode and Luke Steele in a No 1 Contender match but got horribly beaten up in the process.

- the Kerry Wayne and Will Beaumont vs the Wayne Brothers storyline took an interesting turn. After Kerry and Will beat the brothers in what was meant to be the “blowoff” match, they then won a four corners tag match for a shot at the tag titles, but Will Beaumont broke his arm during the match and is now out for three months. So Kerry still got his title shot the next week, but his brother Kian ran out to join the match and they won the titles! So now Kal will need to confront Kian about what he was possibly thinking, which will eventually lead to a Kian Wayne face turn.

- After the Next Big Things rejoined for “One Night Only” to beat Tombstone and Monty Croft, they’ll both get a Quest Title shot next week on RAW. Nicky is going to win and Rod will turn heel in a jealous rage. This will start a long feud between the two ex partners.

- George LiberTeen has poor chemistry being managed by Raymond Royce so the story is Raymond’s interference keeps costing him matches, which will lead to him splitting from the group and turning face. Not quite sure what to do with him then, might even release him.

- Matty Wills has poor chemistry being managed by his sister Rose so going to have him turn heel because he hates Brodie flirting with Rose and then a feud between the two with Rose taking Brodie’s side and them becoming “official”.

- Echo has poor momentum so he’s turning heel (he’s a better heel anyway). Storyline is he’s frustrated with losing so he starts to cheat.

- the starting storyline between Nathan McKenzie and Monty Croft now has the RAW Giants involved beating up Big Mac. He’s hurt his arm now (botch by Skyscraper) and is injured for another 20 days (can still work, but needs to take it easy), so undecided how to play this one out.

- Spin Doctor (manager of the Master Minds) just handed in his notice for no apparent reason, and because my roster is a bit bloated I’ve retired the Master Minds from active duty and they are becoming Road Agents only. Probably should work that into a story somehow. As I’m typing this is seems like the perfect opportunity for a “Loser Leaves Town” match to get a young team over, probably 3am Boys or JT Ice and Gladiator.

- other notable storylines are Blake Belushi vs Loxley Robbins and Captain Wrestling II vs Maurice Jackson. Not much happening here besides standard feuds, the stories are intertwining a bit, they just tagged together heels vs faces on the last RAW which the heels won. The idea of both these storylines is to propel both heels to Main Event status and I just discovered they have Great tag team chemistry, so I sense a faction forming. Rince Vusso’s A.S.S. faction anyone??
