Fair comment but it's not true. I run a development agency and this kind of design is entirely possible as I've purely focused on layout, placement, and formatting. I haven't changed the datasets at all, and if anything I've reduced the amount of data required.

 

I know this isn't possible as a skin in the game's current design, of course. It’s not a skin, it’s a redesign mockup to show the kind of thing I expected from a sports management game in 2020, rather than the spreadsheet hell we got. I'm not sure why this thread has been moved to Mods section...

So I've spent another hour or so playing around with the theme of the design I came up with, and had a go at improving the title(s) screen.

 

I will probably do a few more screens with varied elements (like tables, buttons, etc.) as hopefully that will give a bit of inspiration.

I know that maybe I'm spreading too much negativity here.. But god, when I see this work, and then I see the original game.. I mean, I don't even know if I want to buy it, thinking of what could've been done graphically speaking.. and let's be clear, I've been a customer for the ENTIRE journey, from TEW 2005 to 2016, and WreSpi saga too.. the TEW series kept me entertained for thousands of hours through 15 years of my life.

That being said, great work (I'm a professional UX Designer). This release has made it very obvious that GDS needs to make sure they utilize a UX and UI designer to help with their screens.</p><p> </p><p>

Different sized fonts, information of hierarchy not being drawn out. There's almost not focus or real flow to the page (a popup inside a popup wtf). All things you've accomplished with your concept.</p><p> </p><p>

Honestly, I'd be happy with a 1-2 month delay (or re-release) to offer a better User Experience (UX).</p>

This. So much this. The current information provided on the title lineages and the screen itself is so limited and always has been. How hard is it to record number of days for all reigns for all titles??? Basic stuff. If I need to record it in Excel like I do now, then it's a basic feature missing.

Me too for all of this. First impression of the new game was so bad it prompted me to return to the forum for the first time in 8 years. I've owned them all, even bought the Comic Book game. the fact that I'm 'on the fence' says a lot

Maybe I had completely unrealistic expectations but I thought "this game has been rebuilt from the ground up" was going to mean a massive modernization. I appreciate the work involved but I'd maybe rather wait another year or something it it means it would have that modernization.
