Give Me Rules For A Game - Re-Rebooted

Recommended Posts

Evolution must lose the tag titles at the PPV to begin the gradual downfall of the group.

Rey Mysterio must have a lengthy run with the Cruiserweight title in order to establish it as a legitimate championship.

Chris Benoit either can't win the Royal Rumble or he must lose the championship match at WrestleMania. Same goes for Eddie Guerrero.

John Cena can't win a singles title until at least SummerSlam.

Thx for this :)

Most of this I was going to do anyway. It can get way more outlandish (and specific) for me^^

Can I get rules for a 2020 Ring of Honor save? Starting from when ROH returned with the first round of the Pure Title tournament.

Perfect, I'm a big fan.

No Double Champions: No dual singles champions, no unification matches, no tag team champion holding singles gold. This will mean that both Jay Lethal and Jonathan Gresham must lose the Pure Title Tournament.

Era of Honor Returns: ROH Past vs. Present was a highly anticipated card among Ring of Honor fans for a reason. You must bring back (at least) three wrestlers who performed for Ring of Honor in 2002 (as many stayed around long after). Two of them must become staples of the roster, but the third could potentially be just for a one-off match.

RIP Xavier and Eddy Guerrero. :(

With the proper talent applicable, you should be set to run ROH Past vs. Present in early 2021.

ROH Dojo Trainers: Delirious, Will Ferrara, Cheeseburger. One must become a staple of the tag team division (including a title reign), one must win the World Television or Pure title en route to becoming a World title contender within a calendar year, and the other... will be an official Jobber to the Stars, losing to anyone Recognisable or above, but is never to be released.

Tag Team Wrestling Revival: ROH's Tag Team division is essentially in shambles. Though AEW may corner the market on teams, and WWE on randomly thrown together pairs, you must become a mix of both... Put together two former singles champions, bring in (at least) two tag teams from outside the company, and choose a unit from each existing stable in ROH to compete in a Tag Team Tournament when the Pure Title Tournament is complete. This should help keep the 6-Man Division alive, if you so choose. Additionally, just to get away from ROH's crutch, The Briscoes can now only challenge for singles gold. You don't necessarily have to split them up proper.

Pure Wrestling Revolution: The Pure Championship will become a staple of the promotion, as we shall see in real life. Follow the rules just as they do when booking Pure matches, and there must be a minimum of two Pure title matches each month, but they cannot be short-length bouts (15+). Any of the workers in the Pure Title Tournament are fair to be released or kept around as you wish.

Not For Nothing: There happen to be plenty of outside talent ready at your disposal, those that haven't been lifted by other promotions already. Despite criticism, ROH has continued to rely on a loyal, reliable core roster. With the previous rules helping to load up the roster, you may be tempted to trim a lot of the "fat," so to speak. The 10 following workers have job security:

Dalton Castle, Matt Taven, Kenny King, Rhett Titus, Eli Isom, Joe Hendry, Josh Woods, Vincent, Brody King, Flip Gordon

If they aren't poached by a different company, you must renew their contracts and keep them around as long as you can.

(do with Marty, Lethal, Gresham, and Silas as you wish)

Proper Women's Division: Each show must include a full-length (10+) women's division match. Each month must include at least a title defense (attempt) for the ROH World Women's Champion, after you have crowned one. You don't have to run the tournament that ROH had planned for the Women's Championship, but you may need to expand your division in any way you see fit.

And finally,

Forget Former Entertainers: As tempting as it may be to bring in Heath Slater, EC3, Joe "Mr. Perfect 2.0" Hennig, and the like... you may not bring in anyone that has exited the WWE post-2016. This includes those released after the game begins. They poach your roster, not the other way around. :p Should help emphasize building your own stars.

Should give you a little breathing room. :D

Going to start a new game using the 2004 ruthless aggression mod with WWE and I’m looking for a good set of rules to make things interesting, the more rules and the more outlandish the better. Looking forward to seeing what gets turned up and if multiple people want to reply I’m open to using them all.

Looking forward to seeing what gets turned up and if multiple people want to reply I’m open to using them all.

Since I'm doing the same at the moment, I have some ideas :)

1. By the end of 2004 a Women's title match must main event a "Normal" PPV (no lesser or throwaway event)

2. You can only attempt to hire Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Kenny Omega, Bryan Danielson and Prince Devitt, while they're holding Championships in a Japanese promotion.

3. A wrestler with less than 25 pop in any US region needs to win a Secondary or above title in their debut match.

4. Atleast one of the top four PPVs (Wrestlemania, SummerSlam, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble) needs to be held outside the US every year.

5. By the end of the year either Goldberg or Brock Lesnar must have left the company.

6. New hiring rule: WCW lost. Get over it. No additional WCW Alumni for your company. (Feel free to ignore this for 2001 WCW or PowerPlant talent)

Okay guys, I'm doing TNA at Jan. 4 2010, and am playing as Paul Heyman. Would love some rules that make sense for him vs Hulk Hogan power struggle, that are still challenging. All I mean is I'm going to be bringing in RVD and Sabu for sure, and probably pushing Stevie Richards with Raven, and Rhino in some capacity. I'm an X-Division guy as well, and this is their 2nd golden age. MCMG en route to tag titles.

Hoping someone can help me out, stop me from being so stubborn. :p

Looking for rules for a loooooooooong term April 2014 WWE game where I control both WWE and NXT!

1.) Stick to the plan. Unless injuries dictate otherwise, Daniel Bryan MUST lose his title in a squash match against Brock Lesnar in the main event of Summerslam 2014.

2.) Brock Lesnar may not be pinned or submitted until 2016.

3.) The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner MUST appear in the main event of a pay-per-view the same year he wins the trophy.

4.) Before you break up the Shield you must first introduce a fourth member to the group. This fourth member MUST be an NXT callup.

5.) Of Ambrose, Rollins, and Reigns:

5a.) Pick one who will lose to Triple H in a singles match at the next Wrestlemania.

5b.) Pick one who will win the 2016 Royal Rumble and CANNOT win a world title until Wrestlemania 32.

5c.) Pick one whose contract you will not renew under any circumstances.

6.) Before the end of 2014 you must either bring back King of the Ring or introduce a six man tag belt.

7.) By the end of 2014 Adam Rose must be the leader of a stable with no fewer than five members (Rose included). They must all be NXT callups. One must take on the role of "The Bunny." One of them MUST be either Braun Strowman or Becky Lynch.

8.) Don't give up on Cesaro. He's a Paul Heyman Guy and that has to mean something. Cesaro MUST win three pay-per-view matches for every one he loses for as long as he is associated with Paul Heyman, and this relationship must continue until he is a Star.

9.) Cody Rhodes cannot be given the Stardust gimmick and cannot win a non-tag title until after he has retired his brother.

10.) The Women's Revolution starts now. The Divas title must be retired and replaced with a new women's belt by Summerslam and at least four women on the roster must be Stars by Summerslam 2015.

11.) Any new signing who has not held a world-level title in a Medium-sized or greater promotion must spend no less than a year in NXT before being promoted to the main roster.

12.) John Cena cannot win another world title unless he is a heel.

13.) You get one more Wrestlemania out of The Undertaker, and he must lose his match. Make it count.

Listen to some Heyman podcasts from around the time he was offered the book for TNA and you'll find that pushing a bunch of ex-ECW guys is what he WOULDN'T do. Heyman was in favor of a youth movement and advocated firing everyone on the roster over a certain age (I think it might have been 30?).

On the other hand, Hogan.

In light of that, try the following:

1.) You cannot sign any active wrestlers over the age of 35 UNLESS that wrestler has a positive relationship with Hulk Hogan OR is a former world champion in WWE, WCW, or ECW.

2.) You cannot renew the existing contract of any active wrestler over the age of 35 UNLESS that wrestler has a positive relationship with Hulk Hogan OR is a former world champion in WWE, WCW, or ECW OR that wrestler currently holds a TNA championship.

3.) By the end of 2010 Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, or Scott Hall must have held the TNA tag titles with a partner under the age of 30.

4.) By the end of 2010 Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, or Scott Hall must have served as manager to an X Division champion for the entirety of his title reign.

5.) By the end of 2010 Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, or Scott Hall must have served as manager to a Knockouts champion for the entirety of her title reign.

6.) If Bryan Danielson or CM Punk become free agents you must sign them to multi-year exclusive contracts EVEN IF doing so would violate any of the above rules.

7.) Neither AJ Styles nor Samoa Joe can hold the TNA world title again until they've beaten Hulk Hogan in a pay-per-view singles match.

Thanks man. Yeah, I looked into a bit after posting here and found out quite a bit of info to help me playthrough. Cheers, thanks for these rules. :D

Here's some rules that I think will make your save a lot more interesting than the usual C-Verse save I see many people end up doing.

Nepotism Is Worthless Here: You may not hire any talent who have a generational predecessor in the business. That means no James Diaz, no Logan Wolfsbaine, no Lucy Stone-McFly, no TCJ, no SoVen, no Gino Montero, no to any other second-or-more generation talent I might have forgotten.

Card Subject To Change: If you cannot achieve Tiny size in your home region in the first year of running your promotion, and alternatively if you cannot hit 20 popularity in your home region by the end of the second year, you must change your product. You never mentioned if this was an RTG, so if your boss says no, go in the Game Editor and change it yourself.

Lex Luger's Law: If your top wrestler is not regularly achieving individual ratings above 35 in his matches by the end of the first sixteen months, install somebody else as the top star of your promotion.

This Promotion is The Major Leagues: If any of your contracted talent begins working for another promotion, you only have access to that talent for the first show after they sign to the new promotion. Then you must release them.

Big Boys Make Big Noise: You must have a yearly tournament card that exclusively features wrestlers sized Light Heavyweight and above.

Title Belts Cost Money And I'm An Independent Wrestling Promoter, Let's Repurpose My 7th Grade Spelling Bee Trophy Instead: You can go all out with creating as many tournaments, trophies and annual matches with unique stipulations as you want. However, you can have only one traditional wrestling championship belt for the first four years of your promotion's existence.

Zero Tolerance: You can only use the 'Fine' and 'Fire' punishments for any negative backstage incident.

How To Artificially Inflate Your Indy's Roster: After the first three shows, pick two wrestlers that you think you will use quite often for the first couple years of your promotion's life. Those wrestlers must be given masked (or unmasked) alter egos that must make their first appearance before the end of the first year. From the second year on, the alter egos must appear at least as many times each year as the regular wrestlers using them.

Gooker Award Contender: In the first year of your promotion's existence, you must give one worker a gimmick you know would be absolutely terrible for that worker in a real life setting. The worker must keep that gimmick for at least eighteen months. This can be one of the aforementioned alter egos if you choose.

Nothing Is Original: Any clichéd storylines, such as a faction of wrestlers trying to take over/destroy your promotion or an underdog with great in-ring skill rising to the main event, can only be used once every five in-game years. There are so many reasons for wrestlers to want to fight each other; what excuse is there for unoriginality?

The Kip Frey Business Model: To incentivize good performances from your roster, the any wrestler to achieve an individual performance over 50 in any match except Eye Candy must be immediately offered a new contract that pays at least twice as much per show as their current deal.

Thank you, I especially like "Nepotism Is Worthless Here" and "This Promotion Is The Major Leagues" they will definitely throw a wrench into how I usually play these kind of saves. I'm also looking forward to seeing how "How To Artificially Inflate Your Indy's Roster" is going to work out for me, it's going to be interesting trying to figure out how I can get my main face take on my main heel when they're the same worker.

Can I please have rules for an IMPACT game with Oct. 2020 data? I'm picking up where right before the Victory Road show.

Hey! Came up with a few ideas, hope you'll like them!

The Raju Show: Rohit Raju is on a roll with the X-Division Championship!... Kinda. You maye be tempted to restore the X-Division to its former glory with workhorses as champ... But Raju must hold on to the belt for the next 6 months.

F*, Marry, Kill: Dez, Wentz, Trey.

By the end of 2021, one of the Rascalz must have had a reign with the World Championship.

One must be on a tag team with another wrestler from the roster and challenge for the tag straps.

The other must be jobbed out.

You decide how they break up

(In)sAniTy?: The maniac that is Eric Young, now that he is world champion, is starting to draw some other maniacs to his side. Eric Young must begin to create a cult-like stable of people that have the attibute "Play Offbeat/Unstable Well"

#ALLEGO: Ethan Page must ascend to the status of "Star" before the end of 2021. That can be as a solo wrestler of still a part of The North.

Where is my Mind?: Susie cannot return fully to being Su Yung. She must keep the alter ego/schizophrenic gimmick. She must wrestle as Su Yung at least and never more than once a month.

We did it first!: The Knockouts were the Women's Revolution before there was a Women's Revolution in Wrestling. By the end of 2021, the Knockouts must have main evented at least one Event

Thinking of doing a 2016 save as either ROH, LU, GFW, or TNA (or a custom promotion) with the goal of becoming the #1 promotion in the US. Ive toyed around with them in the past but just sign really popular people and climb too quickly.

Not sure A which one should I pick or B how to maintain interest
