I don't think you fully understand how Free Pictures work....

 

Most free pictures can fit more than one ethnicity. Also it is indeed as simple as going into the free pictures and adding Indian workers...

 

A lot of the Hispanic pictures could work for white workers, and vice versa. Some Asian ones can do the same. A few black pictures could work for other races, and vice versa. But very few of the non-Indian ones could pass for Indian.

Agreed on this. It certainly isn't a mass edit + add Indian to every Free picture thing. Just saying there are options.

What needs to happen is Adam needs to release the game fully fleshed out, he's releasing a game with a broken feature that has a simple solution. Create more Indian pics. </p><p> </p><p>

Why should we, as paying customers have to be doing his job for him for an entire region on the game to be playable properly for day 1 release. He set the release date originally for June/July right? instead of wanting to release it early why didn't he just fix the broken the region. </p><p> </p><p>

And apparently you disagree, but I very much would not want to wait an additional two months to play the game just so Adam can render another couple hundred pictures. it's not fully functional, because if you start the game as per normal the region doesn't work. It doesn't create new workers because there's no pics. So either have t change settings and have most of the region with blue face. or you have to rely on others to make the pics for you so the region works properly. At the end of the day it shouldn't be down to us to fix a region in his game.

 

Also you missed the point, Adam just wouldn't have announced it early, it would just be coming out when he originally said it was, only all the regions would work from the start.

It's absurd to say it's fully functional. US is fully functional. UK is fully functional. Europe, Oceania, Japan, Mexico, Canada are all fully functional. I start a new game, they're all ticked. Companies exist, can form, can die, there's an ecosystem. It is NOT possible to have an ecosystem in India without the user altering the database in some form. Literally impossible. That is not fully functional.

 

1) There's literally a part in the guidebook, written by Adam himself, stating that you must alter some aspects of the editor for India to work fully long term. If I start a game, and tick India as on, it will eventually go nowhere because the game will only be able to generate around 20 workers at most. That's NOT fully functional.

 

2) "Just lacking free pics" is again pretty ridiculous. Adam put in a feature in the game where it will no longer generate a worker if there are no free pics available. This means that Adam judged pics were a valuable enough component of the game, and that players thought it was a valuable enough component of the game that he added a feature to prevent workers from being generated without a picture. He judged it to be an important feature of the game. So much so that he was willing to prevent the development of India in the default database because it was not in a state to feature every aspect he deems necessary for a working region. If Adam had judged India fully functional and pics as being UNNECESSARY to a worker, he would not have made it the default for the game to stop generating workers if they dont have pics. It would be a feature for players to turn on if it bothered them. Not to turn off.

Yeah, without a good amount of free picks (i would say at least 150-200), India is not really function-able. I tried to create an Indian's universe from scratch and generate random workers to depute soon, however due to the lack of pic's, you cannot get it done unless you have multiple workers with the same pic or pick someone else's pic.

No need to be hostile here. At no point did I say make all Indian workers Hispanic.

 

I said - you have 2 options here -

 

Option 1: go through the free pictures and set the ones that you feel could work as Indian to have the option to be generated as Indian workers.

 

Option 2: What we have been doing in this game for a decade+ now, is go to the re-render forum and snatch up the free pictures that are released specifically for Indian workers.

 

Just to be clear I'm from an Indian-Caribbean mixed family. I'm not being racist. Just offering solutions.

Yeah, no, that "solution" strikes me as lacking. Especially without a button to easily copy a database from the main database screen.

Glad to see someone else agrees with me! I kinda love India being barren early one, my biggest issue is probably the drought of future talent set to debut. Like, I get that the free pics were an issue, but we only have debuting talent up through February, that's kind of a bummer. Well, that and the lack of Indian referees at the start of the game, that one just seems like a complete oversight. It's hard to blame Adam for that though when my first Indian game I also completely forgot to pick up a referee.

 

In terms of the actual experience though, building up the Indian wrestling scene from scratch is one of the more unique TEW experiences I've had, although I've probably restarted a handful of times now due to the demo time limit.

 

Right, I want to invest more in my India game play. However I can't because of the limited time. With every new patch, I have to start a new game too. So I cannot wait for the game to come out.

THAT is a saving grace for the fact that new worker generation can be a bit lacking for certain types of workers (women in general, Indian workers, etc.); so far, it seems very easy to talk people into being open to working in areas they don't work in.

Being an Indian myself, I was pretty happy for the region to be added. I have started a diary with the yet to debut promotion MGPW while changing its product to Lucharesu because in my mind, that is the kind of wrestling that would work here.

 

Workers are a problem so for all the people helping out with Indian renders, thank you so much.

 

Also I edited the database adding Kashmir's dojo to the promotion and so far I have two decent graduates from the Class of 2020.

 

The two well known stars who you can build the promotion around is of course, Kashmir Singh and SNP's Bali Daljit. I also made a point to talk to unemployed workers to come and work here as I am trying to develop an industry.

 

And don't forget to include Bollywood Baljit Avatar, he will be a star

i would rather the game come out now then in a month or 2, but you cant really say its a fully functional area. With the default settings, workers stop appearing after 2 months, which just isn't good enough. This is why I say imo it would be best to wait until the next game to play India

You could always just activate some Indy workers from Japan, Australia, and America to fill the void and have them work in India. Sort like the C-Verse version of Ring Ka King. I understand there are purists who would never do that, but if I was inclined to play as a company over there I would do that.

I think during this is a requirement, regardless of the number of pictures. Since the new guys are so green. Roger Monteiro is not even among the best in the world but is constantly performing well. I'm going to push him over all the India based guys. I sent some of them out for excursion.

 

People's complaint that there are not enough workers, though valid, are a product of a new area suddenly open. So either way, people from other areas will have to come and lend their experience.
