Ciccio
Here you go bud, just done a quick screen recording - Do you also know how to do it in GIMP? I can't find the shortcuts for the things you do in video and have problems cutting the image in the right space
brat99
Do you also know how to do it in GIMP? I can't find the shortcuts for the things you do in video and have problems cutting the image in the right space No need to cut anything in GIMP. Open both the template and the picture you want. Use the color select tool on the template then copy the worker image and paste it into the color selected area. Then you can move the worker image in the selected area to where you want it/where it fits best. Click on one of your select tools (I use rectangle, but it doesn't matter which one you use) and just click outside the selected area. Now you can save your result as a GIF that will fit the background properly. Edit: Couldn't resist trying it for a CVerse character. Not quite as awesome as the RW pics, but I still kind of like it:

brat99
The problem that I get is that the wrestler picture is larger than the template so I wanted to know if there's a way to resize it to the template selection as he does in the video when he presses ALT and then clicks on the two images layers Got it (I actually didn't watch the video as I exclusively use GIMP). I kind of mis-worded what I was trying to explain. After you color select on the template and copy the worker image, use the Paste Into option while the color select is still active. This should "cover" just the template with your worker image and then you just have to move it around to get the best placement. Hope this clears it up. Arber
If this is to become a full community project I think it would be wise to maybe agree upon some community standards before it gets too big to manage. For example multiple images, some people use '_alt#', some ' #', some '_#'. I think it would be nice to keep this consistent, so we can essentially have one picture pack that is eventually shared amongst the mod's whose mod makers want to use it. I think it would also be nice if everyone agreed to submit to one image repository. So if someone made for example an 1982 mod, they would use the existing repository of images and add any additional images they needed to the full repository - then link to the full repository in their release thread. This would stop there from being various images with the same filename using the same art style - as has happened a lot in the past. This would make it easier for mod makers and players alike to keep a clean picture folder and avoid having to use different picture folders for different mods that use the same style but have different images with duplicate filenames. This would all probably mean having a 'project manager' who would make sure that file names are unique and follow a standard and that the repository is kept up to date. I would be happy to volunteer for this role if no one else has the time or desire to do so. Does anyone else have any thoughts on this? Good idea or bad idea? Additions? Larrikn
so is the long term goal to have this a fully realized and released pack or just a constant update within the drive?
Oyaji
Great ideas, Arber. I would suggest "_85" and "_96" type suffixes just on the basis of people radically changing looks within decades and it being easier to find exactly which of the 20 Hogan_80s pics belongs with the '85 mod or what have you, but then not every picture's year is known, so it's not perfect.
