<p class="cwa-p-nmt">A big thank you to everyone who predicted for the first TV show! It's been a pleasure to write it, and I'm quite happy with the format I've come up with. I think its visual quality is consistent with the posts I've made before, and I wanted to keep the segments relatively short while not making them feel irrelevant. I hope you like this approach - if there's anything you're not happy with or that you'd like to see improved, please tell me!</p></p><p> </p><p>

<p>Most of you predicted a Ricky DeColt victory, which was definitely more likely concerning he's younger and has a higher perception rating. However, I needed a setup here for one of the matches at Total Elimination, and it also allowed me to introduce you to the character I have in mind for Johnny Bloodstone. He's too old to be a constant focus of the shows (and would take the spotlight away from younger talent), but I just had to take the opportunity to put him in a program with the DeColts.</p></p><p> </p><p>

<p>Predicting draws and no contests is always really hard, so I'm not surprised that nobody got that one right. LaEstrella actually had the right idea in mind, but still went with Thunder & Lightning. Don't expect things like these to happen too often in the future. I don't see CWA as a sports entertainment company, and run-ins will not always and automatically result in disqualifications. Also, don't expect my heels to constantly rely on cheap tactics to secure their victories. I like strong heels if it fits their characters, and I'll book them accordingly.</p></p><p> </p><p>

<p class="cwa-p-nmb">I will post the results of the first episode of CWA Northern Fight Night (my new "B" show) in the next days, followed by the first update on the Pick Your Wrestler contest (since the results from those shows will also count).</p></p><p> </p><p>

<p class="cwa-p-nmt">Sorry for the long delay ahead of the second episode of Championship Wrestling! Real-life struck, and then I decided to rewrite the CSS code for all posts I've already made to a) make it better compatible with mobile devices and b) to make writing this diary significantly easier because I can now better structure my posts and have also started to build a resource file where I can simply copy and paste a lot of stuff to save a lot of time.</p>

 

<p>Only one of you predicted both participants of the main event correctly! Congratulations for that, LaEstrella! Quite a lot of you thought that Blockbuster would join the team of Price and Vessey. While that would make sense because he's a member of the Elite stable, it would probably hurt the match rating far too much for me to consider it whatsoever. It's the main event of the pay-per-view, after all!</p>

Bit of a shame about Rivera, he had a monster run for me in my CGC save in TEW16. Had a good destiny roll I think and I just had to make him my champ with the ratings he was getting me. He continued to deliver from there on as well. I miss the 'Thrill Seeker'. Not sure if it's a popular opinion, but I'm not a fan of boring, bald Lee Rivera.

 

Shooter Sean Deeley on the other hand is a favourite of mine. Not sure why, I've always liked the render I suppose, and his gimmick. I'm a fan of the no-facial hair version more, but I think that the look you've got him rocking suits a Heel better so makes sense to me.

I have other high-flyers on the roster that are younger and capable of producing grades that are already at least as good as what Rivera can do (Duvak and Wildside, for example), so there's not really a good reason for me to give Rivera any kind of major push. Sadly.

 

About Sean Deeley - that guy is great! He's got that mean streak that you can really utilise for a heel, and I also imagine him as a <i>true</i> heel, someone who's booed even in a company with a loose face/heel divide like my version of the CWA. I don't know what exactly I'm going to do with him yet, but I'll probably keep him close to the main event as long as he performs well.

Yeah, that's true about Rivera. Wildside's great in particular. I like Duvak, good pick-up from ACPW. Which reminds me that I'm surprised guys like Ant-Man and Jamie Atherton aren't in the CWA by default. They're both fantastic entertainers who I always get tempted to sign in any game I run. Maybe in TEW24.
