Fuego Del Sol AEW Dynamite opened with CM Punk coming to the ring to the adoration of the crowd. He said he was out here to address MJF. For years, he heard about this kid named Max who claimed to be, basically, the second coming of CM Punk. Punk said he could see how one could come to this conclusion based on their skills on the mic and in the ring, but the fact of the matter is they could not be any more different. Punk is the voice of the voiceless, the man who stood up the machine and spat in its face. MJF…well, MJF wants to be another spoke on the wheel that will keep on turning with or without him. MJF is a Long Island prettyboy who never knew what it felt like to go to sleep hungry because the promoter of the local indie stiffed him on pay. MJF got into AEW through Cody Rhodes, and then turned on him when he no longer needed him. MJF is a slimy little weasel. But now that weasel is running through grass that is too tall for him, and he ran into a snake named CM Punk. Punk said that at Full Gear, he will show MJF what a Chicagoan thinks of a Long Island bitch like MJF. 1. Orange Cassidy def. Daniel Garcia - Garcia did not play along to Orange's antics, but Orange was still able to come out on top with relative ease. After the bell, Men of the Year appeared on the screen. Ethan Page challenged any two of the Best Friends to a tag team match on Rampage, so they can put an end to the no-fashion having insults to the wrestling business. TNT Champion Eddie Kingston was in the interview area getting ready for a promo. He was talking Marvez to hurry up, but he was attacked from behind by Team Taz. Ricky Starks, Will Hobbs, Jeff Cobb and HOOK put a beating on the champion before Brian Cage came to his aid. Cage eventually went down as well, leading to Jon Moxley appearing and holding them as King and Cage recovered and cleared the ring. Taz had a huge smile on his face from the top of the ramp. 2. FTR def. Le Sex Gods - FTR has gotten what most would consider a huge upset. A brass knuckles shot from Tully Blanchard to Chris Jericho allowed FTR to hit Sammy Guevara with a Big Rig for the victory. Tully Blanchard came into the ring and told the audience that they told everyone they would climb back up to the top and regain those AEW World Tag Team titles, and that journey started tonight. Harwood told AEW World Tag Team Champions Santana & Ortiz that they were coming for those belts. The Superkliq trio of Adam Cole and the Young Bucks were backstage with Alex Marvez. Cole started his promo by making fun of Kenny Omega, who still has not been seen since Cole debuted at AEW Dynamite: Awakening and the whole Elite turned on Kenny. Cole said that it's ironic since he "cleaned up" the trash. The Bucks then talked about Cody & Dustin Rhodes, and how Cody left the Elite a year and a half ago and didn't do as much as give them a handshake. Suddenly, Cody and Dustin Rhodes walked into the shot and Cody went nose-to-nose with all three of them one by one. With a hardened scowl on his face, he said that his brother and he will see the Bucks at Full Gear. 3. Brian Cage def. Ryan Nemeth - Hollywood Hunk? More like Hollywood Junk! Team Taz sprinted down to the ring for the second time tonight. They attempted to jump Cage but Moxley and Kingston came through the crowd at the same time and made the group stall on the apron. They all slowly backed away as the three babyfaces stood their ground. Moxley grabbed a microphone and made his message clear: enough of this BS, this Friday on Rampage, let's have ourselves a little three on three action. Moxley, Kingston and Cage versus Starks, Cobb and Hobbs. A pre-recorded promo for the HFO aired, with Matt Hardy saying that the Butcher & The Blade will destroy the Sydal Brothers on Rampage. 4. Ruby Soho def. Serena Deeb - Soho avenged her loss in the tag team match on Friday by defeating the Professor of Professional Wrestling and former NWA World Women's champion Serena Deeb in a great match. The AEW Women's World Champion was seen watching the match from a monitor backstage, alongside Rebel. Jim Ross had a sitdown interview with AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page. After speaking about Hangman's journey, JR asked him if he has a preference on who wins in tonight's main event: PAC or Bryan Danielson. Hangman beat around the bush and didn't give a clear answer, instead mentioning that he would love to even his record with PAC, who has him 2-1, but he would also love to solidify himself and his reign as AEW champion by defeating the man many consider the greatest of all time. The announce team ran down the cards for this week's Friday's Rampage and next week's Dynamite. On Friday this week, the Butcher & the Blade will face the Sydal Brothers in what is a huge clash of styles. NWA World Women's Champion Thunder Rosa will face Penelope Ford in a title eliminator match. The Best Friends duo of Chuck Taylor and Wheeler Yuta have answered the Men of the Year's challenge to a tag team match. And the Team Taz trio of FTW Champion Ricky Starks, Will Hobbs and Jeff Cobb will clash with IWGP United States Champion Jon Moxley, TNT Champion Eddie Kingston and Brian Cage. And for the card for next week's Dynamite, the Forbidden Door is blown open as Impact Wrestling's Jordynne Grace will face the NWA's Marti Belle in a number one contenders match for the NWA World Women's Championship, with the title match happening at AEW's Full Gear. Anthony Ogogo and Christian Cage will finally go one-on-one as Ogogo looks to get his first big win in his career. And in another huge trios match, the squadron of CM Punk, Darby Allin and Lance Archer will face the Pinnacle trio of MJF and FTR! 5. Bryan Danielson def. PAC - In what is easily a top five match in AEW history, Danielson bested PAC. A true match of the year contender, PAC was cheered way, way more than anticipated. The fans seemed to have realized that the BASTARD had a point when talking about being overlooked. PAC had hit a Shooting Star Press to Danielson's back, and went back up the top rope for presumably a Red Arrow, but Andrade El Idolo appeared and pushed PAC off the top as Danielson held the ref. PAC landed almost on top of Danielson, who pivoted his body and locked PAC into a Cattle Mutilation, causing the Bastard to pass out and lose. Danielson celebrated to a mixed reaction as Andrade smiled, walking backward up the ramp. He has shark teeth, enters the ring with a hypnotizing mask covering his face and wears a kid Gohan outfit. What else could you want?! He plays a brute Mongolian gimmick. Not sure who to book him with, but I'll leave that up to you. It's your world, bro. Have a Chinese guy come in and play a gimmick similar to the guy from City Wok on South Park. Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Wheeler Yuta) - A fast-paced tag team match that saw MOTY come out on top. Andrade El Idolo and Thea Trinidad came to the ring. Trinidad spoke for Andrade, and talked about costing PAC the match against Bryan Danielson. She said that PAC doesn't deserve a pay-per-view main event and will never get another title match until he beats Andrade, which will never happen. Andrade took to the mic and challenged PAC to a match at Full Gear! 2. The Butcher & The Blade def. The Sydal Brothers - In a great clash of styles, the HFO duo won after the Butcher pinned Mike Sydal. Matt Hardy proudly raised the hands of the winners afterward. In a pre-recorded promo, IWGP United States Champion Jon Moxley appeared visibly angry. He said that week after week, he's waited for the contract to come back from Japan. He wants the Ace of the Universe. He wants Tanahashi. He expects an answer this Wednesday on Dynamite. Tony Schiavone interviewed AEW Women's World Champion Dr. Britt Baker DMD, alongside Rebel, backstage. After talking about everyone she has beaten in her six months as champion, Schiavone said that he had just received word from Tony Khan that at AEW Full Gear, Britt Baker will defend her title against Ruby Soho. Baker was angry and scolded Schiavone, who said that he was just the messenger. 3. Thunder Rosa def. Penelope Ford - The NWA World Women's Champion won with ease in a title eliminator match. Tony Schiavone was in a conference room alongside Impact Wrestling President Scott D'Amore and NWA President Billy Corgan. Schiavone talked about the match on this Wednesday's Dynamite between Impact's Jordynne Grace and NWA's Marti Belle, with the winner facing Thunder Rosa for the NWA World Women's Championship at AEW's Full Gear. D'Amore thanked Tony for the time and noted that he is happy that an Impact talent will defeat an NWA talent on AEW show, and then win the NWA title at an AEW pay-per-view and bring it to Impact. Corgan scoffed and said that Marti Belle will bring the title back home. They continued to bicker until Schiavone cut them off and said he loves that the Forbidden Door has been blown open. The card for AEW Dynamite was run down. The Forbidden Door is opened as Impact Wrestling's Jordynne Grace will face the NWA's Marti Belle in a number one contenders match for the NWA World Women's Championship, with the title match happening at AEW's Full Gear. All men got shine, with Jeff Cobb in particular laying out the TNT Champion with a Tour of the Islands through a table on the outside. The finish came when Moxley locked Hobbs in a Bulldog Choke until Hobbs passed out. Starks and Cobb jumped on Moxley after the match, and the six men brawled with the babyfaces standing tall. Taz grabbed a mic and from the ramp spoke to Eddie Kingston. He said that Jeff Cobb manhandled the TNT Champion, so it's only fair that Cobb get a TNT title match. TNT CHAMPIONSHIP: Eddie Kingston © def. Jeff Cobb - Dynamite started off with an absolute banger as Eddie Kingston successfully defended his TNT Championship against Team Taz's Jeff Cobb, a match made after Cobb manhandled King during the trios match on Friday's Rampage. Ricky Starks, Will Hobbs and HOOK all attempted to interfere, but were taken out by Jon Moxley and Brian Cage. A BLKOUT Lariat and a Spinning Backfist put Cobb out for the three count. The two groups continued their brawl after the match, showing that the feud is far from over. Team Taz would stand tall, with Starks laying out Kingston with a shot from the FTW Championship. We received a quick video package of Jacob Fatu. The Team Taz member tore his ACL on a DEFY show the last week of September. The video showed Fatu doing upper body exercises, and ended with him tearing a piece of paper off the wall, with many more underneath, counting down the days until his return: 196. AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page came to the ring for a promo. He noted that after a few weeks of uncertainty, the Full Gear main event has been made: Hangman vs. Bryan Danielson for the AEW World title. A dream match for the Hanger. Danielson came out onto the ramp to mixed reactions from the crowd. He said that he is a bit disappointed, because when he came to AEW, he wanted to beat Kenny Omega for the AEW title. It's too bad that Hangman got lucky and took the title before he could. Danielson said that he already beat Kenny back at AEW Dynamite: Awakening, and he hasn't even been seen since! While he wanted to beat Kenny for the title, Danielson said that it's okay, because he already beat Kenny and will win the title in a couple weeks anyway, so it's all the same in the end. Hangman said that he'll be damned if an outsider comes in and takes the AEW title away from him, the man who has been here since day one, the man who put All Elite Wrestling on his back through a pandemic and the ONLY man in the Elite who didn't want an EVP spot because he just wanted to wrestle. He said the story of the Hangman is just beginning. 2. Christian Cage def. Anthony Ogogo - The rivalry reached its conclusion here as Christian barely came out on top against Ogogo. The dynamic was unique, as the fans are well aware of Ogogo's legs being cut out from under him against Cody at Double or Nothing (Ogogo did get his revenge by being the lone survivor and pinning Cody clean in the Faction Warfare match at Road Rager). They gave him more cheers than anticipated, causing Christian to play more of a heel role. In the end, because Christian is great, the fans still popped when he got the three count following an Unprettier. We received a pre-taped promo from the Bastard PAC, five days after losing the number one contenders match against Bryan Danielson, thanks to interference from Andrade El Idolo. PAC accepted Andrade's challenge, and promised to make a mockery out of him. The Elite made their way to the ring, led by Adam Cole. The crowd booed nearly unanimously, a change from prior weeks. The Young Bucks and the Good Brothers flanked Cole. He spoke about removing Kenny Omega from the Elite and taking his place at the top of the pro wrestling landscape alongside his best friends. Cole noted that he hasn't even wrestled in AEW yet, and he is still the biggest star to ever step in this ring, and has been the talk of the town for a month now. Cody and Dustin Rhodes appeared on the ramp. Cody said that he is disappointed in the Elite for turning their backs on everything they created. Cody said he would NEVER turn his back on AEW. He gave up everything to start this company and he'll be damned if someone else tries to destroy it. The Good Brothers left the ring and went after the brothers but were quickly dispatched. The Young Bucks then left the ring and got into a staredown with them on the entranceway. The crowd began to cheer louder and louder, and the reason became clear, as behind Adam Cole stood… KENNY OMEGA! Kenny has returned! Adam Cole turned around straight into a V Trigger. The Bucks saw what was happening and attemped to enter the ring, but Cody and Dustin grabbed their legs and pulled them back out. Cody hit Matt with a Cross Rhodes and Dustin nailed a piledriver on Nick as Kenny went to work on Cole in the ring. Kenny hoisted him onto his shoulders and planted with him a One Winged Angel to a huge reaction from the crowd. The Good Brothers pulled Cole out of the ring and dragged the rest of the Elite up the ramp as Cody, Dustin and Kenny stood tall to huge applause. 3. NUMBER ONE CONTENDERS MATCH: Jordynne Grace def. Marti Belle - In this Forbidden Door smashing contest, Impact's Grace defeated NWA's Belle to become number one contender for the NWA World Women's Championship. NWA World Women's Champion Thunder Rosa came to the ring and had a staredown with Jordynne Grace as AEW went to commercial. Back from break, Taz was in the ring for his special announcement. This Friday on AEW Rampage, two members of Team Taz will be in a match, and they are Will Hobbs and… HOOK! HOOK will make his in-ring debut alongside the powerhouse Will Hobbs! 4. Orange Cassidy def. Scorpio Sky - in a continuation of the feud between Best Friends and Men of the Year, Cassidy defeated Scorpio Sky in a match that got the fans buzzing. Joshi Lightning Squad's Riho faces KiLynn King in a singles match. And in the main event, Andrade El Idolo will face PAC's Death Triangle factionmate, Rey Fenix! And on next Wednesday's Dynamite, Factory leader QT Marshall faces Christian Cage. Factory muscle Anthony Ogogo goes toe to toe with Luchasaurus. And HIROSHI TANAHASHI will team with JUICE ROBINSON to face Darby Allin and Lance Archer in the main event! 5. The Pinnacle (MJF & FTR) def. CM Punk & Darby Allin & Lance Archer - The squadron of Punk, Darby and Archer were unable to best the Pinnacle in the main event. It was not a clean victory however, as Wardlow handed MJF the Dynamite Diamond Ring, allowing him to hit Darby in the nose with it and pin him for the victory. Tully Blanchard stood with FTR, and said that on behalf of his clients, he challenges Santana & Ortiz to an AEW World Tag Team title match at Full Gear. 3. Andrade El Idolo def.
