Mid South Rasslin' [LSW, CVerse 2020]

Recommended Posts

LSW will prevail! GSW and IPW are trash compared to LSW. Sorry if you are a fan of those companies but their product is meh at best. If you want pure hardcore PSW is the standard to be honest. And LSW is much more than that.

Preview for LSW Sundown Showdown 2023

The Oklahomans (Patterson, Night) vs The Wild Cats (El Jaguar, Tigre Salvaje Jr)
A spicy two-on-two should open the show, as Jason Patterson and Jules Night will team up against El Jaguar and Tigre Salvaje Jr in an exciting babyfaces versus babyfaces tag team match. Although it will be The American Cobras and The Empire contending for the No. One Contenders spot, a win could project The Oklahomans or The Wild Cats as second in line for a title shot.

Rob Reynolds vs Taheiji Konoe
“The Motor City” Menace is back in action and he's set to square off against “The Animal” Taheiji Konoe. Accompanied by his manager Duka Hazzard, the Japanese savage is a force to reckon with and will be hungrier than ever after being defeated by Zap Powerson. Rob Reynolds, however, will try to exploit his hard strikes to tame “The Animal,” winning a victory that would restore some momentum.

Kip Keenan, David Stone, Jared Johnson vs The Most Wanted (Bandido, Maniac, Maverick)
Angry and tired of the subterfuge, beatdowns, distractions, and interferences of The Most Wanted, babyfaces Kip Keenan, David Stone and Jared Johnson asked and got a match against the heel brigade. Ricky Dale Johnson officiated it, making it a three-on-three against Bandido Gonzalez, Maniac Gonzalez and Maverick Martin as the trio who will represent The Most Wanted, while leader Cactus Jack would surely be at ringside, ready to causing some havoc as his usual.

Also, Sayeed Ali issued a challenge to Texas Hangman, inviting him to a good ol' parking lot brawl in the middle of the show. Either way, it’s hard to imagine that the boss Ricky Dale Johnson won’t control the situation as best he can and take the proper safety precautions.

Aces High vs Davis Wayne Newton
New clients of Platinum Agency Group, Davis Wayne Newton and Dreadnought were eliminated in the Quarter-finals of the Mid South Tag Series last month, courtesy of Long Beach Crew. In singles action, Davis Wayne Newton will get a chance to make up for it and take a little payback for him and the behemoth Dreadnought, going one-on-one against Aces High, one half of Long Beach Crew and a babyface swagger competitor who has quickly gotten into the good graces of the fans thanks to his friendship with “The Draw” Cali Slick. Definitely an interesting match to grace the card.

The American Cobras vs The Empire in a No. One Contenders’ match
The American Cobras were back in action last month, as Storm Spillane finally came back from his torn quad injury, and they scored a nice victory over Nonstop Action. Likewise, their rivals The Empire also took the W by defeating The Wild Cats. As LSW tag team champs The Dynamite Express will keep a close eye on the situation, RDJ announced a tag team match between these two top duos in Lone Star Wrestling, and the winners will get a title shot at the tag team title straps at LSW Bloody South 2023 in California!

No. One Contender’s Four-Way Elimination match
Ahead of LSW Bloody South 2023, the first ever LSW event to take place in the South West, Ricky Dale Johnson made official a Four-Way Elimination match to determine the next No. One Contender at the LSW Texas Heavyweight championship, still around Shooter Sean Deeley's waist. The four major stars that will compete in this exciting main event will be “Platinum” James Prudence, Southern Stinger, “Hollywood” Jake Idol, and “The Draw” Cali Slick! Who will be able to overcome all his opponents to remain of only survivor and new No. One Contender?

LSW Sundown Showdown 2023
Sunday, Week 3, May 2023
Held in Dallas, TX (Mid South) in front of 6,078 people
108,586 viewers on WrestleWorld

jasonpatterson.png julesnight.png   eljaguar.png tigresalvajejr.png
The Oklahomans (Patterson, Night) vs The Wild Cats (El Jaguar, Tigre Salvaje Jr)

In a decent opener aiming to work the crowd and succesfully gets the show off to a strong start, The Oklahomans defeat The Wild Cats in a all-babyfaces tag team match, when Jules Night pins El Jaguar with a Time For Bed after eight minutes. The announcing quality lifts the match. [53]

In a backstage interview, Sweet Tabitha ask champion Quentin Queen how he’s getting ready to defend his Brass Knuckles title against debuting Fro Sure at LSW Bloody South 2023, next month in South West. Acting all cocky, Quentin Queen taunts Fro’s rapper persona, improvising a parody freestyle to say that he’ll beat the hell out the Californian debutant to retain the LSW Brass Knuckles strap. [44]

robreynolds.png   taheijikonoe.png
Rob Reynolds vs Taheiji Konoe

The second match on the card, Rob Reynolds tries to weaken his opponent’s legs with his hard strikes, being supported by the Dallas crowd. However, after a decent bout, “The Animal” Taheiji Konoe is able to unleash his brutality, defeatinfg “The Motor City Menace” in nine minutes by pinfall with a Savage Cradle DDT. Manager Duke Hazzard celebrates at ringside, happy that his Japanese brute gets back on track after losing to Zap Powerson last month. [56]

In an in-ring segment, heel Zeus Maxmillion calls out Zap Powerson, praising his first appearances and the way he has dominated his opponents. “The Bronzed God” believes the babyface powerhouse can indeed become the “Next Big Thing” in this business, but he would need guidance, offering himself as his mentor here in Lone Star Wrestling. Zap Powerson thanks Zeus Maxmillion for the kind words, however, rejecting the proposal and snubbing Zeus' mentorship, much to the happiness of the Dallas crowd, repeating several times however his intention not to disrespect the veteran. Zap Powerson then returns backstage, leaving a pride-wounded Zeus Maxmillion shaking his head in the squared circle. [61]

kipkeenan.png davidstone.png jaredjohnson.png   marcogonzalez.png carlosgonzalez.png maverickchipmartin.png
Kip Keenan, David Stone, Jared Johnson vs The Most Wanted (Bandido, Maniac, Maverick)

In a decent match, Kip Keenan and David Stone and Jared Johnson try to give a hard lesson to The Most Wanted, tired of all the subterfuges and interferences of the heelish brigade. Great performance by “Double J” who ties Kip Keenan with his in-ring performance, not an easy task for sure. After fifteen minutes, the babyfaces score the W as “The American Eagle” Kip Keenan pins Bandido Gonzalez with a Belly To Belly Suplex. Match gets the crowd even hotter. [60]

Right after the bell, Cactus Jack - who watched the match at ringside - storms in and attack Kip Keenan, leading to a huge three-versus-four wild brawl. The highlight of the angle is Cactus Jack taking out his bullrope, after we saw it during last event, choking Kip Keenan and dragging him around the ring, before several security members manage to stop the tussle. Ricky Dale Johnson also walks out on stage, screaming at The Most Wanted to immediately leave the stage. The boss RDJ has been fantastic with his performance. [53]

aceshigh.png   daviswaynenewton.png
Aces High vs Davis Wayne Newton
In a bout that has great wrestling and a decent reaction from the Dallas crowd, babyfaces Aces High goes one-on-one against Davis Wayne Newton, supported by agent Laura Catherine Huggins, James Prudence and the menacing Dreadnought. A very competitive eleven minutes match, but eventually “Triple Threat” connects his Fisherman’s Suplex on Aces High and pins him for the victory. Scoring a W for brand new Platinum Agency Group, Davis Wayne Newton also takes a little payback from Mid South Tag Series where he and Dreadnought were eliminated by Aces High and Cali Slick, better known in duo as Long Beach Crew. [64]

Following the match, James Prudence and Laura Catherine Huggins put over their Agency Group and their clients, Davis Wayne Newton and Dreadnought, improvising really well and interacting with the croef. After taking some cheap heat from the Dallas fans, “Platinum” James Prudence says that tonight in the main event he’ll win the No. One Contender’s Four-Way Elimination match so he could snatch the Texas Heavyweight championship at LSW Bloody South. [63]

The cameras take us to the parking lot, where Sayeed Ali and his uncle Travis Century were waiting for Texas Hangman, who has accepted the challenge and has just arrived in the area. The boss Ricky Dale Johnson took safety precautions and there are multiple security guards to separate the two rivals, but as soon as things get hot “The Hangman” manages to break the security cordon and start brawling with Sayeed Ali! ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE! After a good ol' fistfight, Ricky Dale Johnson appears on the scene and leads his security guards managing to split his two workers, who are pulled away from each other. [64]

rogermonteiro.png   warwickgood.png
Roger Monteiro vs Warwick Good

As an addiction to the card, Lone Star Wrestling brings to you a one-on-one match between new competitors. In a singles bout that has decent wrestling but doesn’t have much heat, Warwick Good score the W over Native-American Roger Monteiro in seven minutes, pinning him with a Face First Suplex. Presented as an heel, Wawrick Good debuts his “Bad Man” brawling persona that gets an initial Poor rating. The announcing team gives the match a boost. [46]

In a short follow-up angle after the match, The Hot Taggs come out to applaude Warwick Good, and they all hug each other and make a “horn” handsign that has to be their way to identify as a brotherhood. From the announcing table, Lee Bambino and MC Motormouth hint at the fact that it could be something related to all three wrestler being from Montana. [34]

Interviewed by Sweet Tabitha, Cactus Jack shoots at Kip Keenan, talking about how he almost strangled him earlier on with his bullrope, saying that “The American Eagle” was only saved by his buddies, and how “Cactus” is levels above Kip Keenan and how he could dominate him in the ring and lead him around like you do with cows in the pasture. “PROVE IT!” A visibly sweaty Ricky Dale Johnson bursts onto the scene, quite irate at Jack Pryde and The Most Waned faction. Did Cactus Jack say he might bring Kip Keenan grazing? Well, he'll have the chance to prove it. In fact, at LSW Bloody South next month, RDJ announces Cactus Jack versus Kip Keenan in a Texas Bullrope match! [54]

marvelmalloy.png stormspillane.png   antoniodelveccio.png brutusmilano.png
The American Cobras (Malloy, Spillane) vs The Empire (Del Veccio, Milano) in a No. One Contenders’ match

In a bout that has great wrestling and good heat, heels Antonio Del Veccio and Brutus Milano finally collide against Marvel Malloy and Storm Spillane, with a title shot for the LSW Tag Team championships on the line. Unfortunately, after a very competitive 50-50 balanced match, champions Syd Collier and Cam Jones storm in and attack both tag teams, forcing the referee to call for a No Contest. The crowd starts booing the hell out of The Dynamite Express, also wondering who’s gonna challenge the champs at LSW Bloody South 2023. [69]

The Dynamite Express grab the sticks and talk about how “unfortunate” it is that neither tag team won the match, coming to the logical conclusion that none of the duos will get a title shot next month in California. But then again it's only fair, at least in the minds of Cam Jones and Syd Collier, because “these belts are way too high for our competitors”!!! For the umpteenth time today, the boss Ricky Dale Johnson appears to solve problems, increasingly sweaty and exhausted. Taking up the catchy line of The Express' promo, RDJ reflects on the fact that if those belts are too high for The Empire and The American Cobras, at LSW Bloody South they will be too high for The Dynamite Express. In fact, next month in California we'll have a three-way tag team LADDER MATCH for the LSW Tag Team championships, suspended beyond jumping height 15ft up in the sky! [69]

calislick.png   hollywoodjakeidol.png   jamesprudence.png   southernstinger.png
No. One Contender’s Four-Way Elimination match

And in the main event, Cali Slick, Jake Idol, Southern Stinger and James Prudence collide in a four-way match with great wrestling and good heat, fighting to gain a title shot for the LSW Texas Heavyweight championship at LSW Bloody South 2023, the first-ever event held in South West. The first elimination is shockingly Southern Stinger who, despite being the most consistent during the bout, gets stunned by a mini-alliance between James Prudence and Jake Idol, as “Hollywood” hits his hot new move to pin “The Stinger”. Second one to go is James Prudence, the weak link of the bout as he has struggled to keep up with everyone else’s in-ring performance. “Platinum” misses his Surf’s Up and gets cracked by Cali Slick signature Slick Back for the 1-2-3. After twenty-two minutes, “Hollywood” Jake Idol goes for the Reality Check against his last opponent and fellow Californian, Cali Slick, but “The Draw” eventually ducks it and few seconds later hits the Slick Back! 1 .. 2 .. 3!! [59]

To close the show, Cali Slick shoots a promo at “The Shooter” Sean Deeley on the stage, telling him that this time the LSW Texas Heavyweight championship will end up around his waist. “The Draw” also points out that no matter the stipulation, no matter the situation, at LSW Bloody South next month Cali Slick will fight in his hometown Long Beach, California, and “The Draw” will finally defeat his nemesis and become the head of the table in LSW! It’s written in the stars, that’s his moment, and Sean Deeley and his agent sleazy S.O.B. Vinny Cruz will finally recognise who’s “The Draw”!! The rivalry between Sean Deeley and Cali Slick advances and gains even more heat! [69]

Preview for LSW Bloody South 2023

For the first time ever, Lone Star Wrestling invades South West territory with an hardcore wild west show!

10-man Bloody Battle Royale
Long Beach get ready for a wild brawl to start the show! Ten valid competitors will enter the over-the-top-rope battle royale with an hardcore twist, as weapons are allowed inside the bout. The lone survivor of this bloody royal will gain a precious title shot for the LSW Texas Heavyweight championship at LSW Summer Stampede 2023, next month. The ten competitors are Aces High, Frantic Ali, “Hollywood” Jake Idol, “Platinum” James Prudence, Jared Johnson, Maniac Gonzalez, Rob Reynolds, Southern Stinger, Taheiji Konoe, and Tavon Blake Jr.

Sayeed Ali vs Texas Hangman in a No DQ match
The bloody rivalry between “The East Side Assassin” Sayeed Ali and babyface Texas Hangman doesn’t seem to want to stop. The two brawlers sowed panic last month in a parking lot brawl that also involved several security guards, who hardly contained these two beasts. Having crossed the line, Ricky Dale Johnson kinda slapped their hands with a symbolic fine, then announcing a No DQ bout for LSW Bloody South where the two will be able to beat the crap out of each other as much as they would like. At ringside, of course, we will find “The Preacher” Travis Century, uncle and manager of Sayeed Ali and former spiritual guide of “The Hangman.”

David Stone vs Maverick Martin
In what should be the only match to be fought under classic rules, babyface David Stone is set to square up against Maverick Martin, that insufferable outlaw who just a couple of months ago during the Mid South Tag Series injured the young Canadian by stomping the steel stairs where David Stone found himself stuck with his right leg, costing him the tournament. The continuing rivalry between The Most Wanted faction and the babyface group continues, even in this one-on-one, and everyone is rooting for David Stone so he can take a rematch on “The Maverick” Chip Martin and teach him a lesson.

Dynamite Express (c) vs American Cobras vs Empire in a Ladder match for the LSW Tag Team titles
After causing a no contest during the No. One Contenders match between The American Cobras and The Empire, stating that their belts were “way too high for our competitors”, The Dynamite Express found themselves in quite a pickle as the boss Ricky Dale Johnson took their words seriously, deciding that if those championships are too high for their competitors, they will be too high for The Dynamite Express too! The first ever Ladder match in Lone Star Wrestling history will see three top-notch tag teams battling to retrieve the title straps, suspended beyond jumping height, 15ft up in the sky! [69]

Quentin Queen (c) vs Fro Sure in a No DQ match for the LSW Brass Knuckles title
Next on the list is a Brass Knuckles title match to be fought under brass knuckles rules, as the tradition for this title strap. The champion Quentin Queen is set to defend his crown against the debuting Fro Sure, a Californian rapper who has the opportunity to become champ in his debut here in Lone Star Wrestling, wrestling in his hometown area here in the South West. Will Fro Sure start his LSW run in the best way possible? Or will Quentin Queen really prove that no Californian is a match for him?

Cactus Jack vs Kip Keenan in a Texas Bullrope match
At LSW Sundown Showdown, last month, Cactus Jack almost strangled Kip Keenan with his bullrope, then claiming he could dominate “The American Eagle” and bring him grazing throughout the squared circle. Challenging Jack Pryde to prove it, the boss Ricky Dale Johnson announced a Texas Bullrope match between Cactus Jack and babyface megastar Kip Keenan! In a Texas Bullrope Match two wrestlers are placed on opposite ends of a bullrope with a cowbell in the middle. The rope, and anything tied to it, can be used as a legal weapon. A disqualification occurs if either wrestler frees themselves from the restraint before the match is won. The only way to win the match is by touching all four corners in succession.

Shooter Sean Deeley (c) vs Cali Slick in an Long Beach Street Fight for the LSW Texas Heavyweight title
Long Beach, get ready for a Street Fight in our main event! The LSW Texas Heavyweight champion Sean Deeley will have to clash once again with his arch enemy, babyface star Cali Slick, arriving to this title match with a red hot momentum and an opportunity to wrestle in his hometown. The wrestling machine, the legitimate athlete, “The Shooter” Sean Deeley proved to be a top-notch champion and a difficult match-up for Cali Slick, who in the several previous bouts has never been able to defeat him. What will happen at Bloody South? Who will walk out the Texas Heavyweight champ?

LSW Bloody South 2023
Sunday, Week 2, June 2023
Held in Long Beach, CA (South West) in front of 1,964 people
105,657 viewers on WrestleWorld

For the first time ever, Lone Star Wrestling invades South West territory with an hardcore wild west show! The boss Ricky Dale Johnson opens the show, welcoming everybody and working the crowd a bit, getting it ready for some action. RDJ impovises well throughout the segment. [68]

10-man Bloody Battle Royale

Ten tought competitors square up in an over-the-top-rope battle royale where weapons are allowed, and the prize at stake is a title shot for the LSW Texas Heavyweight championship at LSW Summer Stampede 2023! A wild brawl sees hometown babyface Tavon Blake Jr eliminated first, followed by another Cali guy in Frantic Ali and Rob Reynolds. Southern Stinger gets a good one, eliminating Maniac Gonzalez of The Most Wanted, and next to go is Aces High. Taheiji Konoe gets eliminated and takes a stunt bump on a table at ringside, a rare event for LSW that testifies to the uniqueness of this hardcore show, and seventh elimination is Jared Johnson. Southern Stinger ducks a chair shot by James Prudence, takes his beloved favorite weapon and goes ballistic on "Platinum" before eliminating him. Eventually though, Jake Idol hits his hot new move on "The Stinger" and throws him out to win the Bloody Battle Royal. Hometown guy takes the W and a title shot at the LSW Texas Heavyweight title. [64]

Despite being a Californian, Jake Idol manages to get booed even by his fellow countrymen in his post-match segment, as "Hollywood" claims that he is the only one worthy of representing this State that has now fallen into a downward spiral. A swagger bragging heel promo that suits Jake Idol perfectly, may he really become the Heavyweight champion next month? [63]

sayeedali.png   texashangman.png
Sayeed Ali vs Texas Hangman in a No DQ match

In a bout that has great wrestling and good heat, Sayeed Ali and Texas Hangman clash in a very tough no disqualification match, with few weapons used but a lot of intensity and playing a lot on the absence of count outs, the absence of rope breaks in the corner, and the possibility of hitting the opponent with a closed fist. After thirteen minutes, Texas Hangman completes his comeback and grabs Sayeed Ali around the neck, who once again hits him with a kick on his balls! BUT THIS TIME THE HANGMAN DOESN'T SUFFER IT! WHAT?! With a Big Boot, "The Hangman" hits his rival who goes down on the mat, Travis Century gets on the apron to interfere, but the heavyweight babyface chokes him for a few seconds putting him out of action at ringside. Texas Hangman then reaches into his pants and pulls out a groin shell! "The Hangman" saw it coming, he knew Sayeed Ali would try to hit him in the nether regions once again, and prepares himself this time. Sayeed Ali struggles back to his feet, gets hit with the groin shell on his skull before getting Choke Slammed on the mat: 1 ... 2 .. 3! Texas Hangman wins the match. [62]

In a backstage interview, Sweet Tabitha gives Warwick Good a chance to make himself known, after his winning debut during last show. Acting like an old school heel, "The Bad Man" introduces himself and talks about the brotherhood he has with Kalder and Wolfie Tagg, the twin brothers who are by his side during the interview. All three from Montana, Warwick Good explains how they are hungry and ambitious allies, introducing the group as The Montana Bisons, doing a handsign with horns turned downward. [23]

davidstone.png   maverickchipmartin.png
David Stone vs Maverick Martin
After being injured on his leg a couple of months ago by “The Maverick”, babyface David Stone is looking for revenge against Chip Martin, accompanied to the ring by The Gonzalez Family. In a decent bout, “The Maverick” targets Stone’s leg once again, but eventually the young Canadian star has the upper hand, hitting his Stone Cutter after nine minutes to leave Maverick Martin down and out: 1 .. 2 .. 3!! David Stone scores the victory over his rival. [54]

mannyalvarez.png   zappowerson.png
Manny Alvarez vs Zap Powerson

In a terrible match, Zap Powerson continues his streak of victories since his debut, this time dominating San Diego hardcore wrestler Manny Alvarez in five minutes, before pinning him with a Press Powerslam. “El Loco” seems rusty in the ring, and it doesn’t help the overall performance. [32]

After the match, Zeus Maxmillion shows up again, turning to Zap Powerson and letting him know that he did not like the young powerhouse's refusal to become his protégé at all. "The Bronzed God" is ready to mold Zap Powerson into the "Next Big Thing," all he has to do is follow his lead. Once again though, babyface Zap Powerson tells him respectfully NO! On his way out, Zap Powerson is held on his arm for a few moments by Zeus Maxmillion, veiledly threatening the young powerhouse that he will regret this stupid choice. [57]

Dynamite Express (c) vs American Cobras vs Empire in a Ladder match for the LSW Tag Team titles

In a bout that has superb wrestling and good heat, the top three tag teams in Lone Star Wrestling battle up in the first ever ladder match of the promotion, focusing on the storytelling of reaching the title straps, hanging 15ft up in the sky and using only some ladders as weapons. Brutus Milano is the weak link, struggling to keep up with everyone else's in-ring performance, while Syd Collier and both The Cobras have 70+ performance ratings. After fifteen minutes of action, tag team champions The Dynamite Express are knocked out by the other two tag teams, who now battle for victory. Marvel Malloy sacrifices himself to take Brutus Milano down, leaving only Storm Spillane and Antonio Del Veccio to contend for the championships with a fist brawl at the top of two ladders! Eventually the imponderable happens, as both workers snatch a title belt each from the carabiner at the exact same moment, finding themselves with a strap each in their hands. The referee calls for the bell, but even he cannot tell who is the winner between The Empire and The American Cobras! [70]

The Empire and The American Cobras start arguing with each other while The Dynamite Express are still down at ringside, and both duos try to convince the referee to call for their victory. After about a minute, here comes the boss Ricky Dale Johnson! Called upon to make a difficult decision given what has just happened, RDJ makes a choice, making it clear that one winning tag team cannot be declared. Therefore, this ladder match will go down in history books as a rare draw between The Empire and The American Cobras, but none of them will be crowned LSW Tag Team champions tonight! The Dynamite Express finally returns to the ring and trying to repossess "their" title belts, but Ricky Dale Johnson stops them. In fact, his decision does not mean that Cam Jones and Syd Collier are still the champs! Effective immediately, Ricky Dale Johnson decides that the LSW Tag Team titles are officially vacated! Quentin Queen (c) vs Fro Sure in a No DQ match for the LSW Brass Knuckles title
In a bout that has superb wrestling and good heat, debuting Fro Sure showcases his talent by immediately putting heel champion Quentin Queen in trouble. Playing on the fact that the match is under brass knuckles rules, "Q-Man" manages to rebalance the match but eventually, after almost twelve minutes, Quentin Queen ends up on the mat after the babyface rapper hits him with a Sure Thing! 1 . 2 ..3!! In front of his home crowd, in his LSW debut, Fro Sure wins the LSW Brass Knuckles championship. Phenomenal performance by Fro Sure, such a good way to introduce himself. [73]

Being the second wrestler ever to win a championship on his debut in Lone Star Wrestling - first one was Davis Wayne Newton, also winning the Brass Knuckles title - babyface rapper Fro Sure celebrates with his fellow Californians, improvising a freestyle rap alongside Long Beach crowd. We have a new LSW Brass Knuckles champion ladies and gentlemen! What a first impression, huh? [61]

Cactus Jack vs Kip Keenan in a Texas Bullrope match

Tied on opposite ends of a bullrope with a cowbell in the middle, The Most Wanted leader Cactus Jack and babyface superstar Kip Keenan battles up in a decent match, even though they don't click at all against each other. However, good work by Kip keenan who makes Cactus Jack look particularly strong in this bout. A very nice spot after well past ten minutes sees Cactus Jack inches away from touching the last turnbuckle that would hand him the victory, Kip Keenan manages however to recover after suffering a shot on his head with the cowbell, being able to lift Jack Pryde on his shoulder to hit his fabulous One-Winged Eagle! A desperate Venus Angeletti despairs at ringside, while a triumphant Kip Keenan with some blood on his forehead, following the cowbell shot, drags Cactus Jack down and out throughout the squared circle, touching all four turnbuckles in succession. DIN DIN DIN! Kip Keenan wins the match! [53]

Shooter Sean Deeley (c) vs Cali Slick in an Long Beach Street Fight for the LSW Texas Heavyweight title
The main event exceeds the rosiest expectations of the eve with an incredible Street Fight match, good heat from the crowd cheering unanimously for hometown hero Cali Slick, and some superb wrestling performance-wise. Not a very long match, given the high intensity of the match and both competitors, but in fifteen minutes Sean Deeley and Cali Slick creates an instant classic for Lone Star Wrestling. During the match Big Smash Clay interferes to help "The Shooter," adding even more heat on the heels. After almost a quarter of an hour, Vinny Cruz takes possession of Cali Slick's golden chain and passes it to Shooter Sean Deeley, who attempts a Death's Triangle choke also using the chain to make the submission hold even more unescapable, but somehow "The Draw" is able to free himself from the choke. Cali Slick then battles for his golden chain, retrieving it and starts punching "The Shooter" on the mat, right on his forehead that starts bleeding! Big Smash Clay interferes again, but Cali Slick knocks him out easily, making his momentum white hot. A four year in the making-moment for Cali Slick, one step away from proving himself to be "The Draw" in the Mid South. Cali Slick turns to a desperate Vinny Cruz at ringside, throwing it back in his old agent's face that he is a major star, that he is the winning horse! Shooter Sean Deeley struggles back to his feet, still stunned, Cali Slick slingshots in behind him: SLICK BACK! 1 ... 2 .. 3!!! In his hometown city Long Beach, California, Cali Slick wins the Long Beach Street Fight and becomes the NEEEEW Texas Heavyweight champion. Best match in LSW history! [77]

WOW! 77 is crazy. I didn't pay enough attention to Cali Slick. He not only managed to become the new champion but he did it in a historic match.

The part of the show that I enjoyed the most was the Ladder Match for the Tag Team titles. Vacating the titles? Great stuff! I want to see where you go from there.

A couple of pointers over last show ;)

Invading the West Coast was part of @Charasmatic Enigma's predictions reward! He chose to adopt an hostile attitude towards IPW and GSW by having LSW Bloody South, an hardcore-themed event to show those inept IPW and GSW how to present a pro wrestling show like real men, combining extreme gimmick matches and some good ol' psychology.

Having a Texas Bullrope match was instead part of @DinoKea's predictions reward! He chose this stipulation and I was more than happy of his pick, think fit perfectly a punishment type of match for Cactus Jack's attitude.

In next months you'll find out how others last year's predictions reward will effect this diary!

Total Wrestling News: Road Agents Turnover In LSW

Yesterday was Johnny Martin's last day as an employee for Lone Star Wrestling. The hardcore legend worked in the Mid South for three and a half years both as road agent and manager, previously at his son Chip Martin's corner, then at Miller Fforde's one. From what we have learned, there is no animosity between Johnny Martin and the promotion, but it was simply decided how a change of look was needed. In his place, as early as the next shows should begin the work of Dean Daniels, former TCW wrestler who retired last year, an experienced veteran of whom many speak well as a new talented road agent.

Preview for LSW Summer Stampede 2023

Jason Patterson vs Warwick Good
"The Montana Bison" Warwick Good will meet "The Oklahoma Thunderbolt" Jason Patterson in singles action. Following his winning debut, bad man Warwick Good will be looking for a second victory to solidify the good impression made at LSW Sundown Showdown. Will babyface Jason Patterson spoil his plans?

Fro Sure (c) vs Quentin Queen in a No DQ match for the LSW Brass Knuckles title
After his winning debut in South West homeregion, Fro Sure became the Brass Knuckles champion and began wonderfully his run in Lone Star Wrestling. Determined to end his reign immediately, former champ Quentin Queen asked and ensured a title shot as part of his rematch clause. In a one-on-one bout to be fought under brass kncukles rules, who you got?

The Most Wanted vs Kip Keenan, Southern Stinger, David Stone, Jared Johnson
In a huge four-on-four match set for one fall, The Most Wanted faction led by Cactus Jack will square up against the babyface team of Tag Series winners Kip Keenan and Southern Stinger, Jared Johnson and David Stone, as all four babyfaces in recent months have found themselves clashing with the outlaw brigade several times. Does a well-deserved ass kicking await The Most Wanted? Or will Cactus Jack lead his men to success? Important aside, the winning team will get a spot in next month's Gold Rush match! And while we can imagine how Cactus Jack will be The Most Wanted's pick should they win, it will be more curious to find out who among "The Stinger," Jared Johnson or David Stone will eventually enter the Gold Rush match, as Kip Keenan is already in the bout since he has yet to use of his old rematch clause for the Texas Heavyweight championship.

Taheiji Konoe vs Texas Hangman in a Gold Rush Qualifying match
There still are two open spot for next month’s 6-Man Gold Rush match for the Texas Heavyweight title! In a qualifying bout, “The Animal” Taheiji Konoe managed by Duke Hazzard will try to clinch a spot in the six way match by defeating Texas Hangman, the heavyweight babyface who comes from a huge victory over his rival Sayeed Ali at LSW Bloody South 2023. Two savage competitors, expect to see a wild brawl here!

Davis Wayne Newton vs Rob Reynolds in a Gold Rush Qualifying match
And in the other qualifying match for the Gold Rush, Lone Star Wrestling reintroduces us to a match-up from the past as Platinum Agency Group clien Davis Wayne Newton and Rob Reynolds, once upon a time fighting for the Brass Knuckles title strap, will collide once again one-on-one to snag a ticket for next month's main event.

Zap Powerson vs Dreadnought
Get ready to reinforce the ring for this powerhouse clash! Two young heavyweights are set to collide on the Summer Stampede as babyface Zap Powerson, who recently refused to get under the wings of Zeus Maxmillion as his mentor, will go against monster heel Dreadnought, client of the Platinum Agency Group of Laura Catherine Huggins and "Platinum" James Prudence. Who you got?

Dynamite Express vs American Cobras vs Empire in a 5-T match for the LSW Tag Team titles
After an unexpected twist in their three way ladder match at LSW Bloody South, where Storm Spillane and Antonio Del Veccio ended up with a championship belt each in their hands, the boss Ricky Dale Johnson pulled the trigger and decided to vacate the tag straps, unable to crown new champs. Heading to LSW Summer Stampede, RDJ announced another three way bout to crown the new LSW Tag Team champions in a 5-T Match, namely a Triple Threat Tornado Tag Team match! Having retrieved one title each, The American Cobras and The Empire gained the right to participate, while former champs The Dynamite Express will be in this bout thanks to their rematch clause. It's time to run it back in the tag team division, this match is setting for One Fall! Which team will go home with both straps around their waists?

Cali Slick (c) vs “Hollywood” Jake Idol for the LSW Texas Heavyweight title
New champion Cali Slick finally achieved his biggest goal in the best way possible, winning the Texas Heavyweight title from his bloody rival Shooter Sean Deeley, throwing it back in the face of his former agent Vinny Cruz, finding victory in his hometown Long Beach, and finally proving to be "The Draw." But it’s already no longer time to rest on his laurels, at least for the Texas Heavyweight champion, as Cali Slick is called to defend his championship against fellow Californian "Hollywood" Jake Idol, who won the Bloody Battle Royal at LSW Bloody South and gained a title shot for the most valuable prize in Lone Star Wrestling.
