Yes, though with Omega being ill, you don't have any choice for your trios anyway unless you choose to replace him.

Well, then give me Darby and Ricky for the tag and add in Christian for trios.

AEW LEAGUE
Team WooItsNathan (Kip Sabian (with Penelope Ford) & The Butcher) v TV Network (Johnny TV (with Taya Valkyrie) & Jay Lethal (with Sonjay Dutt))

A decent match but yet again The Butcher impressed and lost. Jay Lethal won for TV Network in 8:59 when he pinned The Butcher with a Lethal Injection. 61
TV was clearly the best in the match (69, next best Lethal 58)
TV and Lethal showed excellent chemistry.
Penelope Ford did good work at ringside.

The World champion Samoa Joe comes to the top of the rope to speak to Renee Paquette. Just looking at Samoa Joe you can tell he's pissed off. He says last week some coward attacked him when he wasn't expecting it... and while he never got to saw his face, the fact he was dressed all in black says it's probably The Devil... so if it is you Adam Cole... you're a dead man. 74

AdamCopeland.jpg.7a7c2ca6353387cae4e2e9b1f840fb82.jpgKonosukeTakeshita.jpg.d10dd663e80aa902ad92b839e4db767a.jpg v RickyStarks4.jpg.bf02fdf034d97b77ae9ea9d2116ba16d.jpgDarbyAllin3.jpg.e29b21cd270c96313214844de9177650.jpg
AEW LEAGUE
Black Lotus ('Rated R Superstar' Adam Copeland & 'Alpha' Konosuke Takeshita (with Don Callis)) v Timeless Ensemble ('Absolute' Ricky Starks & Darby Allin (World Tag Team champion))

A good match, and one that was pretty even until Starks and Allin had to be an actual team. With the former World Tag Team champion clearly still having issues at having lost the titles to one half of the current champions, their teamwork was pretty much non existant. Copeland and Takeshita don't really get on either, though at least they did a bit of teamwork for the good of the team. This helped Black Lotus to win in 15:10 when Takeshita made Allin pass out to the Wall of Takeshita. 66
Takeshita and Starks benefitted from being flavour of the month.

Backstage and a limo is seen with the picture in black and white. This can only mean one thing... a star is here... 'Timeless' Toni Storm. Luther lets out the Women's World champion only for her to be immediately attacked by Deonna Purrazzo. The two just can't wait for Revolution as they trade blows. Purrazzo is getting the better of Storm when Luther bundles her back in the car and the limo speeds back off, leaving Luther behind to eat a slap from The Virtuosa. 49

AnthonyBowens.jpg.66aa4f4619a456b919ca84853599c6fc.jpgMaxCaster.jpg.4b2d0c0687105ac227c1f5de5ed9e45e.jpg v BishopKaun2.jpg.ce77fc05e6b615f324dd7b37444bfbd3.jpgToaLiona.jpg.64a87ce096e6d3cb5e30c0737e7a1af9.jpg
The Acclaimed (World Trios champions, with Daddy Ass) v Gates of Agony (with Prince Nana)
A decent match and one The Acclaimed certainly had the better of. Their superiority translated into a win in 10:18 when Max Caster pinned Bishop Kaun with a Mic Drop. 54
Bowens and Caster benefitted from being flavour of the month.
Caster benefitted from public support.

We then go backstage where we see United Kingdom (without Adam Cole) giving a rather severe beating to Danhausen. The poor fella doesn't look very nice or very evil as he lays near motionless on the floor as Roderick Strong  tells Orange Cassidy all his friends will suffer before Revolution... and he will suffer at Revolution. 46

SwerveStrickland(1).jpg.c301cdd0fee429e6c433e970614c4180.jpg v JonMoxley15.jpg.17e515cc0cd11dc2023d0d7f09f63b87.jpg
AEW LEAGUE
Team Swerve (Swerve Strickland (with Prince Nana)) v The Bryan Danielson Appreciation Society (Jon Moxley)

A very good and very even match which could have gone either way. As it was, it was Swerve who took three points for his team in 15:45 by pinfall with a Swerve Stomp. He's beat a former World champion in Moxley... does he deserve a shot at Joe despite last week's draw? 70 - match of the night
Strickland and Moxley have pretty good chemistry.

TonyKhan.jpg.e790d9df821a37e99ad4359c06dc5f64.jpg
Tony Khan and Adam Page appear on the arena video screen as Strickland celebrates in the ring. His look goes from one of celebration to one of puzzlement. Tony congratulates Swerve on his impressive win tonight and he says he's done a lot of thinking since last week's number one contender match which ended in a draw... and he's decided that at Revolution both Adam Page and Swerve Strickland will get a shot at Samoa Joe's World Championship in a three way match. Page looks somewhat aggrieved while a broad smile appears on Swerve's face. 62

ClaudioCastagnoli20.jpg.3624b219817e8b36d6e0c2df3d16b0ed.jpg v JayWhite13.jpg.234ca964ebb91ec84708ec3c39ae0999.jpg
AEW LEAGUE
The Golden Lion Club (Claudio Castagnoli) v The Peak of Perfection ('Switch Blade' Jay White)

Another decent match, the night has gone well so far for wrestling action. Perhaps a little surprisingly, Jay White had the better of the match. However, The Peak of Perfection's perfect start to the season ended as The Golden Lion Club extended theirs in 13:43 when Castagnoli won by pinfall with a Neutralizer. 64
White benefitted from being flavour of the month.

In a pre recorded segment, Jim Ross in interview MJF in the former World champion's house. MJF says it has hurt physically being out of action for so long and it has hurt mentally at being out of action and losing the World Championship to Samoa Joe. MJF says he will come back in two weeks, he hopes his torn labrum is fully healed and will withstand the rigours of the ring and God willing, he will very soon be on the path back to the top of the mountain. 78

MercedesMon(1).jpg.223c7f596474c22c7dd5f27093c722d8.jpg v Saraya2.jpg.0387458db67377bda894873b2941aa04.jpg
Mercedes Moné v Saraya (with Harley Cameron)
The first of two big debuts tonights sees Mercedes Moné show the AEW fans what she has for the first time... and it couldn't have gone any better as she looked very, very good and pretty much dominated a high level opponent in the former Women's World champion. Moné took a debut victory in 10:36 by submission with a Big Business Deal (formerly known as a Bank Statement). 66
Harley Cameron did good work at ringside.
Saraya suffered from being in poor form.

Backstage and Renee Paquette is talking to CJ Perry. Paquette asks Perry what she is in AEW for... Perry replies she is looking for clients to take to the top... Paquette asks Perry "What about Miro?"... Perry thinks for a moment before replying that this is business, it's not personal. 60

JackParry3.jpg.753bf502369566b74b37bf4d736b394e.jpg v WillOspreay7.jpg.c061f20a4147e00e32ac1f16cfb1b8fe.jpg
Jack Perry v Will Ospreay
The second massive debut tonight sees the Aerial Assassin take on Perry who made a successful return to action last week. The match was decent, though it's clear Ospreay is a huge talent in the ring and at this stage in Jack Perry's relatively young career, a class above him. Ospreay took the win in 14:26 by pinfall with a Storm Breaker. 68
Ospreay far out performed Perry 73-53

Like last week, everybody thinks this is the end of the show... but in scenes eerily similar to the end of Dynamite last week, from a distance down a corridor we see a figure dressed all in black making an attack... but this time it's not Samoa Joe who is the victim... As the cameraman rushes closer it is Swerve Strickland who is lying on the concrete in agony, yelling "son of a bitch" and again the black clad man is nowhere to be seen as Prince Nana also has rushed to the scene to check on his main man. Who is behind the attacks... and is Adam Page next? 69

RAMPAGE
Wednesday, week 1, February 2024
Broadcast on Friday, week 1, February 2024
Covelli Center, Youngstown, Ohio (3,700 capacity)

Rampage starts with Daniel Garcia backstage. He is relishing tonight’s main event, saying he wants to fight the toughest and the best and he wants to beat them to make a name for himself. 54

Best Friends (with Orange Cassidy) v Top Flight (with Action Andretti)
A decent and even match which concluded in 9:10 when Beretta pinned Darius after a Strong Zero 60
Everybody was even in performance with only 2 points separating all four.

Next up Don Callis is backstage with his Family. He says he welcomes the street fight at Revolution against Le Sex Gods and he tells Jericho and Guevara they are going to get badly beaten by two very bad men. 58

OWEN HART FOUNDATION WOMEN’S TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND
Mariah May v Nyla Rose (with Marina Shafir)
A lacklustre match and not much interest from the crowd, Rose advanced in 10:18 by pinfall with a Beast Bomb. 47

Jon Moxley is seen sitting at the bottom of some concrete steps. He tells Daniel Garcia he likes his attitude. He likes it that he wants to fight the toughest and the best… because Jon Moxley is the toughest and the best so Garcia knows he needs everything he has and more to have any chance of winning. 61

OWEN HART FOUNDATION MEN’S TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND
Darby Allin (with Sting) v The Butcher (with Kip Sabian & The Blade)
A decent match where The Butcher continued his impressive work without chalking up a win. Allin goes to Round 2 in 11:39 by pinfall with a Coffin Drop. 64
Allin out performed Butcher 68-52

Backstage and Eddie Kingston is pissed off… nothing unusual. He directs his anger at Bryan Danielson, saying that Danielson supposedly respect everyone and the wrestling business… but he has showed Eddie Kingston no respect when he has been defeated. He wants Danielson in the ring so he can beat some respect into him. 67

Daniel Garcia v Jon Moxley
A good match and a shock outcome in 12:15 when Garcia won by pinfall with a roll up. Moxley looks on in shock as Stephon Smith raises a delighted Daniel Garcia’s arm in the air as Rampage goes off air. 67 – match of the night

Show rating: 65

RAMPAGE
Saturday, week 1, February 2024
Covelli Center, Youngstown, Ohio (3,700 capacity)

The Young Bucks stride to the ring, still wearing their blood stained white suits from brutally attacking the new World Tag Team champions, Darby Allin and Sting, last week with Nicholas' especially stained in a lot of blood. Matthew and Nicholas claim by taking out Darby and Sting last week they are protecting the stupid and the old from further harm and they should just hand over the World Tag Team Championship to the EVPs now... but then the lights go out... and stay out but Sting's voice can be heard and he has an eery warning for the Jacksons... to expect the unexpected... to stay alert at all times... and that Revolution will be Showtime... the lights then come back on and Sting is in the ring standing behind the Bucks, with a baseball bat in each hand. The crowd are going nuts as Matthew and Nicholas slowly turn round... and Sting puts the point of each bat in their throats. Matthew and Nicholas can't escape the ring fast enough, in fact they practically fall out of it. They look like they have seen a ghost as the quickly retreat up the ramp. 66

AEW LEAGUE
The Golden Lion Club ('The Ocho' Chris Jericho & The Lucha Brothers (with Alex Abrahantes)) v Team WooItsNathan (Kip Sabian, The Butcher & 'The Murderhawk Monster' Lance Archer (with Jake 'The Snake' Roberts))

A decent match and one where Fénix was very impressive. He certainly helped The Golden Lion Club to maintain their one hundred percent start though it was Jericho who picked up the win over Kip Sabian in 10:21 by pinfall with a Lionsault. 64
Fénix out performed everyone else (78, next best Penta 68).
Jericho, Butcher and Archer were all off their game.
Archer and Roberts have zero chemistry even though Roberts did good work ringside.

The Acclaimed and Daddy Ass are backstage with Lexy Nair, fresh from their tag team win over Gates of Agony on Dynamite. The World Trios champions do an early scissor and are brimming with confidence as they say they won the tag match on Dynamite and they will beat them when they defend the Trios titles at Revolution. 52

JamieHayter.jpg.6fbb3cccd93412b4bc37d71b04ade9a6.jpg v MeganBayne.jpg.59e328b605b42521e469498999719b95.jpg
Jamie Hayter (with Rebel) v Megan Bayne
The much awaiting return from a long injury layoff for former Women's World champion Jamie Hayter and she looked very impressive. She dominated Bayne and got an easy victory in 6:08 by pinfall with a Falcon Arrow. Hayter is certainly back and the rest of the women need to be wary. 55
Hayter far out performed Bayne 63-39

Renee Paquette is with Serena Deeb backstage. Deeb says she is angry with herself about last week. She let her concentration slip and she lost to Tenille Dashwood and let her team down in the process. She says it won't happen again as matches are fought with your body and your mind... and she is using techniques to sharpen and focus her mind. 55

BillyGunn5.jpg.246fd39afb21cb3f08d2a7d9d05918f8.jpg v SwerveStrickland(1).jpg.8e56498823138ce3680ef8774578e772.jpg
OWEN HART FOUNDATION MEN'S TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND
Billy Gunn (World Trio champion) v Swerve Strickland (with Prince Nana)

A decent match though Swerve was simply way, way too good. He won in 8:55 by pinfall with a Swerve Stomp. 64
Strickland far out performned Gunn 75-37

Le Sex Gods are backstage, each holding a baseball bat. Chris Jericho says they are ready to take it to the street at Revolution and end Don Callis and his family once and for all... while Sammy Guevara says he has done some crazy shit in the past... and he's prepared to do it again as he hates Don Callis and his family. 51

Sting.jpg.a4b9f03e6dec31a111bf36dade7e1168.jpgMalakaiBlack.jpg.fec979f12fa8501600fd0c8d9b3412ac.jpg v AdamCopeland.jpg.0cc73eeecfd7bc1201be218491c5e512.jpgKonosukeTakeshita.jpg.6d7a591461c44bf182c670788092c377.jpg
AEW LEAGUE
The Spooky Club ('The Icon' Sting & Malakai Black) v Black Lotus ('Rated R Superstar' Adam Copeland & 'Alpha' Konosuke Takeshita (with Don Callis))

A decent match with a good crowd, though Sting did seem to struggle to keep up with the rest somewhat. Black Lotus ended up taking the points when Takeshita pinned Black in 12:20 with a Touchdown. 64
Sting performed worse than the others (50, next best Black 63)
Takeshita benefitted from being flavour of the month.

Renee Paquette is behind the entrance curtain getting a quick word with Ricky Starks prior to the next league match. Paquette asks Starks for his thoughts going into the match. Starks says last week was brilliant when he picked up two wins and he's about to get another. 70

JohnnyTV.jpg.937a0f970a36e2eb53c0d298eb0f02b9.jpgMattCardona(8).jpg.3e847d12322af47d1e0b92664740498d.jpgWillOspreay15.jpg.529c72dc26d7c09cbda0a6845e393f2f.jpg v DarbyAllin1.jpg.2458156125ae912e3da727388445b906.jpgRickyStarks.jpg.5c1b2064a70dad50ea97dcb9392329dc.jpgChristian1.jpg.57091ebbfc2b1ba75ce429c7b2fd7e0c.jpg
AEW LEAGUE
TV Network (Johnny TV (with Taya Valkyrie), Matt Cardona & Will Ospreay) v Timeless Ensemble (Darby Allen (World Tag Team champion), 'Absolute' Ricky Starks & Christian Cage (TNT champion))

Timeless Ensemble clearly are struggling to be on the same page in the ring. Darby Allin's had issues in the past with both of his partners while Starks' and Cage's egos are so big they can be seen from the moon. Even so, they had enough to win this match, especially as Cardona turned out to be the weak link. Starks pinned TV in 11:34 with a Spear. 61
Cardona was worse than everyone else (50, next Starks 64)
Cardona and Starks benefitted from being flavour of the month.
Cage benefitted from being in amazing form.

Christian Cage stays in the ring after the match and is joined by Killswitch and Nick Wayne. Cage issues a warning for Adam Copeland and Daniel Garcia... to stay out of Patriarchy business or suffer the consequences... Copeland and Garcia don't seem worried and they come to the ring... but rather than engage in fisticuffs, Copeland says he has a challenge to Cage he might want to listen to... Copeland challenges The Patriarchy to a tag team match next week... if Copeland and Garcia win, they both get a TNT Championship match at Revolution... though if they lose, neither can challenge for the TNT Championship while Cage is the champion... Cage has a think, a huddle with The Patriarchy but telling Copeland he's on, and he'll never get this title. 59

AEW LEAGUE
The Peak of Perfection (Thunder Rosa & 'The Virtuosa' Deonna Purrazzo) v The Bryan Danielson Appreciation Society (Riho & Hikaru Shida)

Three former Women's World champions in this league match and they showed why in a decent match. But then Purrazzo is certainly no match and a probable Women's World champion in the future and she proved why in 13:50 when she submitted Shida with a Venus di Milo. 59

Miro speaks from backstage. He says he is fed up of waiting to get in the ring, he wants to hurt people. He also mentions CJ Perry, saying anybody she takes on as a client is not business for him... it's personal and they will get hurt. Badly. 60

Blackpool Combat Club v FTR & Mark Briscoe
A hard hitting main event and the best action of the night. The two team traded blows as often as they traded holds, which is how most if not all of them like it. The match went the way of the BCC in 17:08 when Yuta made Briscoe tap out to a Yuta Lock. 69 - match of the night
Mark Briscoe benefitted from public support.

DYNAMITE
Wednesday, week 2, February 2024
Entertainment & Sports Arena, Washington D.C. (4,200 capacity)
Announcers: Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Taz

Before the first match, Excalibur informs everyone that both Nick Nemeth and Satoshi Kojima haven't been able to make tonight's show so they will be replaced in their matches against Chris Jericho and Adam Copeland.

RubySoho4.jpg.05794ad9f133921bd0bb818e5288fdfa.jpg v Abadon1.jpg.a8b4b45f57f74abfa3ac844e239a4139.jpg
AEW LEAGUE
The Golden Lion Club (Ruby Soho) v The Spooky Club (Abadon)

Not a good match and one that Soho was easily the better. Sure enough she emerged victorious in 7:37 by pinfall with a Destination Unknown. Eight wins out of eight for The Golden Lion Club. 41
Soho far out performed Abadon 51-23

After the match, a very annoyed looking Swerve Strickland strides to the ring, oblivious to the fact that Prince Nana is happily dancing away behind him to his entrance music. Swerve gets a mic and says he is pissed because of last week. Last week he got jumped from behind from a man dressed in black.... he doesn't know who it is... but he knows that the same thing happened to Joe the week before... and the person with the most to gain is Adam Page... Hangman be a man and fight face to face.
So we have Swerve Strickland saying it is Adam Page and Samoa Joe saying it is The Devil. Who is the man in black? 62

JuliaHart.jpg.a50fe6d36ba22e0a011e2d63ee00dd28.jpg v TenilleDashwood(5).jpg.5eab621ed40b49ddddd3ef2da6b4f21a.jpg
TBS CHAMPIONSHIP
Julia Hart (champion, with Brody King) v Tenille Dashwood

Not the best match, but an improvement from the young Hart in the ring and with the help of a couple of distractions from the always intimidating Brody King, got the win. A surprise? Perhaps, though Hart is champion and Dashwood is in the early stage of pregnancy. Hart won in 8:22 by submission with the Hartless and makes defence number six of the TBS Championship. 42

Backstage and Lance Archer is with Jake Roberts. Lance Archer isn't happy, he's not happy at losing, he's not happy at teaming with "a joker like Kip Sabian" and he's not happy he's not getting the regularly opportunity to kill people. The Snake isn't intimidated by The Murderhawk Monster, Roberts has never been one to be initimated... but he doesn't get any chance for any comeback as Archer says he doesn't need a manager any more. 51

Christian2.jpg.b70dad7d54517fc90738be2631d71d3a.jpg v JohnnyTV2.jpg.3ee85edba5c3161167dc5e50a1fdbd99.jpg
TNT CHAMPIONSHIP
AEW LEAGUE
Timeless Ensemble (Christian Cage, champion) v TV Network (Johnny TV)

Comfortably the best match of the night so far and it was pretty even. When the pace slowed down, Cage had the advantage but when TV could increase the pace and use his parkour inspired style of wrestling, he gained the ascendancy. Ultimately it was experience and cunning that won through as Cage took the points and retained his title in 10:02 by pinfall with a Spear. Cage makes defence number two of the TNT Championship. 59

We are outside the office of the EVPs Matthew and Nicholas Jackson. They beckon the cameraman to follow them in as they have an important announce to make... only for them to find the World Tag Team champions Darby Allin and Sting waiting in their office for them. Darby looks pissed off but Sting is laughing maniacally... he says to the Jacksons that he is here for the disciplinary meeting... except he's not one for note taking and official warnings, he prefers to take action as he pulls out two baseball bats from behind the desk. He hands one to Darby and the two of them proceed to wreck the office... the desk, the chair, the computer, laptop and tablet even the pictures on the walls and the fish tank (poor fish) aren't safe. Matthew says that they are crazy and Sting, still laughing, yells that they are... before finally stopping their wrecking spree and saying he can't wait for Revolution. Nicholas hands them both a $5,000 fine and they will be billed for the damage... but Sting gets in his face, laughs again and says he doesn't care. 64

AEW LEAGUE
The Bryan Danielson Appreciation Society (Hikaru Shida & Riho) v Black Lotus (Kris Statlander & Jamie Hayter)

A good and even match that featured three former Women's World champions. Black Lotus took the win to pull clear in third place in the league when Hayter pinned Riho in 11:30 with a Falcon Arrow. 60
Statlander and Hayter benefitted from public support.

Backstage and Team WooItsNathan is with Lexy Nair. Lexy says that their team haven't had the best of starts in the league. The reply from Kip Sabian is one of sarcasm as he says "no shit Sherlock"... look at us... there are only five in our squad and one of them is injured. Where are the other two in the squad? And where is the manager to make the decisions. Nobody has seen him since we were signed. The Butcher says he is fed up of busting his ass and not getting anything for it... while Anna Jay and Diamante say they are trying their best but it is difficult when they have no direction and morale is at rock bottom. 35

JayWhite.jpg.6137872f7a53cc3521d0edf264f6a1a8.jpgKillswitch(1).jpg.b3f4ece4360f853c9fd968b7d71aa311.jpgWardlow1.jpg.fe058bd758ef98fc797f5e416277aca9.jpg v SwerveStrickland(1).jpg.6d8b34f41539769c8cc01b1882c72525.jpgSamoaJoe2.jpg.4eccee0407d8ecd8540c529e182300cc.jpgSantana.jpg.c4847aeab50d51d07737cd2aaae43d36.jpg
AEW LEAGUE
The Peak of Perfection (Jay White, Killswitch & Wardlow) v Team Swerve (Swerve Strickland (with Prince Nana), Samoa Joe (World champion) & Mike Santana)
A decent match and the regular trio of Peak of Perfection have proved to be the dominating team in the league so far... until now when the class of the World champion and one of the number one contenders really shined through in this match and to give Santana credit, he rose to the occasion and put in a good performance too. Team Swerve took the win in 11:52 when Strickland pinned Killswitch with a Swerve Stomp. 64
White benefitted from being flavour of the month.

Backstage and Renee Paquette is with the Women's World champion Toni Storm, Luther, Mariah May and Storm's Revolution challenger Deonna Purrazzo. Half the screen where Storm and her entourage are is in black and white and the other half where Paquette and Purrazzo are is in full HD colour. Things are surprisingly calm between them all... and Renee explains why when she announces that Tony Khan has added a no contact clause ahead of their match at Revolution unless Storm and Purrazzo meet in a sanctioned match. Storm looks happy as she says that now the show can go on as planned while Purrazzo initially seems annoyed... how she has a mischievous grin when she says that while she can't touch Toni Storm... she can touch Mariah May and she swiftly attacks her and throws her into the video screen at the back of the set. The champion can't do anything to stop her due to the no contact clause, so instead she screams as May is getting assaulted. 56

AdamCopeland.jpg.018ed9d0e5009e06dde07a55b1a2fe3c.jpg v PrestonVance.jpg.48b33a150bc24692c1716d522ef882d2.jpg
COPE OPEN
Adam Copeland v Preston Vance (with José the Assistant)

A bit of a comedown, all respect to Preston Vance to go from Satoshi Kojima to him... but credit to him for stepping up at the last moment for the Cope Open. He was convincingly beat though in 10:55 by pinfall with a Spear. 62
José did good work at ringside.

Backstage and Undisputed Kingdom are continuing their gang attacks on individual members of Best Friends... this time it is Chuck Taylor who is laid out. Orange Cassidy and Trent Beretta run to the scene to check on Taylor but it is too late. The damage is already done and Undisuputed Kingdom have already gone. 49

ChrisJericho18.jpg.c7f0a2f0cbf046a72eba768b33004af9.jpg v Fenix12.jpg.e37173c8d4f907017b94f7d574352dda.jpg
'The Ocho' Chris Jericho v Rey Fénix
The main event should have seen Nick Nemeth make his AEW debut, but he's not here so Rey Fénix takes the match at short notice. And he should have won, he was much better than Jericho, but he came up short after an aerial miscalculation in 15:22 saw him miss the foot stomps and as he rolled through he was hit by a Judas Effect and then pinned. 66 - match of the night
Jericho seemed off his game.
Fénix far out performed Jericho 77-50

Like the last two weeks, everyone thinks the show has finished... but like the last two weeks we see from a distance down a backstage corridor the man dressed in black. Adam Page is in front of him, posturing like he's ready for a fight... only for the black clad man to not touch him and simply walk away. The cameraman runs down the corridor to get closer but the black clad man has gone and Adam Page puts his hand to the camera. This proves the black clad man isn't Adam Page, but why wasn't he attacked like Swerve Strickland and Samoa Joe were the previous two weeks. Is Joe right, is it The Devil? 71

RAMPAGE
Wednesday, week 2, February 2024
Broadcast on Friday, week 2, February 2024
Entertainment & Sports Arena, Washington D.C. (4,200 capacity)
Announce team: Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Chris Jericho.

Rampage starts with the FTW champion Hook with Renee Paquette. Hook is his usual cool and laid back self as he munches on a bag of chips. Renee asks Hook for his thoughts on tonight’s main event where he will defend his title against Claudio Castagnoli. Hook says “yeah… I’ll win”. Renee thanks Hook for his time and hands over to Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Chris Jericho. 51

The Butcher & The Blade v The Hardys
A decent match and again one where The Butcher was probably the best performer and yet he lost. He can’t catch a break at the moment. The Hardys’ win came in 9:49 when Matt pinned The Blade following a Twist of Fate and Swanton Bomb combo. 57

We go backstage where Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts is in the interview area. He warns Lance Archer that he is a legend in the business, he’s not somebody that you just cast aside. In years gone by he would have handled it himself but at his age and with his body in the condition it’s in, he can’t do that… but he still has his mind and he still has his words and he is legendary at playing mind games with people… so he warns Lance Archer that Snakes bite back. 50

OWEN HART FOUNDATION WOMEN’S TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND
Marina Shafir v Jamie Hayter

A hard hitting match that perhaps surprisingly was a little lacklustre, though it had a good reaction from the crowd. Hayter continued her impressive return by winning in 9:10 by pinfall with a Curb Stomp. 51
Hayter far out performed Shafir 61-36
Hayter benefitted from public support.

Backstage and it is now Claudio Castagnoli with Renee Paquette. He says Hook is an impressive young wrestlers, he’s tough, he has ability and he has the world at his feet. He tells Hook that despite that he’s never met the Swiss before and tonight he will have a big wrestling lesson. 55

OWEN HART FOUNDATION MEN’S TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND
Brent (with Brandon) v Austin Gunn (with Colten Gunn)

Not a very good match and not much interest from the crowd. Austin advanced in 9:30 by pinfall. 45

Backstage and Jamie Hayter is recovering after her match earlier in the night. She tells the cameraman she is delighted to be back, everything is going well, she’s winning and beating people up. 64

FTW CHAMPIONSHIP
FTW RULES

Hook (champion) v Claudio Castagnoli
A decent match and one where Castagnoli was taking Hook to wrestling school for sections of it. Even so, it was Hook who made a successful third defence of his unofficial title in 14:21 when he won by submission with a Red Rum. 61 – match of the night
Castagnoli far out performed Hook 66-43
Hook benefitted from public support and being flavour of the month.
