RAMPAGE
Friday, week 2, April 2024
Buffalo RiverWorks, Buffalo, New York (5,000 capacity)
Announce team: Excalibur, Matt Menard and Tony Schiavone.

Rampage starts in the backstage interview area where we see Renee Paquette with Thunder Rosa. Renee asks Rosa about tonight’s main event where she will face Women’s World champion Toni Storm in an AEW League match… Rosa replies that for once tonight isn’t about the Women’s World Championship… nor is it personal… tonight it’s about the AEW League and she is proud to be in The Peak of Perfection team and she is proud they are top of the table… she’s going to get another three points tonight to extend the lead even further. 59

Dalton Castle & The Boys v Top Flight & Action Andretti
A match that was better received than the quality on show. Top Flight & Andretti got the win in 8:22 when Andretti pinned Brandon. 55
Darius benefitted from a hot new move.

Backstage and we see Skye Blue, who hasn’t been seen much in AEW this year. We’ll be seeing her next week as she challenges Red Velvet to a match next week. 44
Blue benefitted from public support.
Blue is improving at her gimmick.

Marina Shafir (with Nyla Rose) v Willow Nightingale (with Kris Statlander)
A sub par match carried by Nightingale, who won comfortably in 9:08 by pinfall with a Fisherman’s Suplex. 52
Nightingale far out performed Shafir 57-34

The screen has gone black and white as we see the Timeless Women’s World champion Toni Storm with Renee Paquette backstage. Of course Luther and Mariah May are with her too. Renee asks Toni about tonight’s main event… Toni responds she heard Rosa’s little speech early… it wasn’t good… and she’s not read the script as that says the only winner will be the only shining star in the women’s division… Timeless… Toni… Storm. 56

Latin American X-Change (Mercedes Martinez & Diamanté, with Konnan) v Hikaru Shida & Riho
A decent match, LAX picked up the win when Diamanté pinned Riho in 8:32 with a Code Red Power Bomb. 59
Diamanté performed worse than everybody else (44, next best Riho 54)
Diamanté and Konnan have excellent chemistry.

We are again backstage where Best Friends issue a challenge to Private Party for a tag team match next week. 50

ThunderRosa8.jpg.545cadd40a2b69430f874b9ff6b47bc1.jpg v ToniStormTimeless.jpg.338c0104d0bedc040bf9691b55c31e01.jpg
AEW LEAGUE
The Peak of Perfection (Thunder Rosa (with Konnan)) v Timeless Ensemble (Toni Storm (Women’s World champion, with Luther))

A decent even match, where the champion picked three points for her team, Storm pinning Rosa in 13:52 with a Storm Zero. 60 – match of the night

Show rating: 59
Attendance: 5,000 (sell out)
TV rating: 0.07 (55,939 viewers and 87,070 overall)

@christmas_ape

Emi Sakura has announced she will retire from the ring in 3 months time. As the transfer/signing window is currently open, you have the option to replace her if you wish to do so.

Here are the women free agents currently in AEW
Anna Jay
Billie Starkz
Dr Britt Baker D.M.D.
Marina Shafir
Megan Bayne
Mercedes Martinez
Nyla Rose
Penelope Ford
Red Velvet
Saraya
Yuka Sakazaki

Or you could try to sign anybody outside of AEW (provided they will sign a contract in game) or you can keep Sakura in your team until she retires.

The rise of Fénix...

I've just checked Fénix's popularity in the game...

In USA he started at 47 and he's now 62-64
Canada from 43 to 59-60
Mexico stayed at 55
British Isles from 45 to 52-61
Japan from 35 to 52
Europe from 35 to 50-52
Oceania from 35 to 50-51
India from 25 to 40

They are sharp increases!

And comparing him to his brother Penta...

USA from 47 to 57
Canada from 43 to 53
Mexico stayed at 54
British Isles from 45 to 52-55
Japan from 35 to 46
Europe from 35 to 46-47
Oceania from 35 to 46-47
India from 25 to 36

Big rises too, but not quite to the same degree as his sibling.

And how ironic their home country is the only region not to have increased!

PRE SHOW

COLLISION
Saturday, week 2, April 2024
Westchester County Center, White Plains, New York (5,000 capacity)
Announcers: Kevin Kelly, Nigel McGuinness and Tony Schiavone

DISCLAIMER - No snakes have been hurt in the making of Collision.

We start in the arena parking lot where Claudio Castagnoli, Jon Moxley and Wheeler Yuta have just arrived. They talk about The Acclaimed and Daddy Ass and the AEW World Trios Championship... Moxley says they are ready for a fight... Castagnoli wants The Acclaimed to be ready for a fight... and Yuta says he has tasted ROH gold before, he now wants some AEW gold... see you in eight nights, and be ready for the fight of your lives. 58

HikaruShida9.jpg.66656ee432daff782486bb5a188bc024.jpgSerenaDeeb.jpg.62acb209d97248b2bd367ad6647f060c.jpg v AnnaJay5.jpg.f262b5289107674c835c0b8bd50c663a.jpgDiamante.jpg.0427f4b9d6589edb24d5d75c2f70f41c.jpg
AEW LEAGUE
The Bryan Danielson Appreciation Society (Hikaru Shida & 'The Professor' Serena Deeb) v Team WooItsNathan (Anna Jay & Diamanté)

The opening match was a little disappointing. BDAS were in control for much of it and the win duly came in 8:24 when Shida submitted Jay with a Full Metal Muffler. 48
Deeb was really off her game.
Deeb benefitted from being in amazing form. (Yes, they sound contradictory but it's what the game says!)

The Acclaimed and Daddy Ass are in the backstage interview area with their custom AEW World Trios Championship belts. Billy Gunn says he has his boys more than ready... Caster does a short rap about fighting and titles... Bowens says they are ready to fight and would be happy to do it tonight... because everyone loves The Acclaimed. 61
Bowens and Caster benefitted from public support.

TessaBlanchard2.jpg.e5a48e14d5a9619ec8acc6290ebf04da.jpgTrinity.jpg.472d16118b3259b702b3b8bc10b700f4.jpg v ThunderRosa4.jpg.f66ab4708a294009a152f8abfaaf2098.jpgDeonnaPurrazzo7.jpg.8f6150b38aa7abf8b71d3c6479a83836.jpg
AEW LEAGUE
TV Network (Tessa Blanchard & Trinity) v The Peak of Perfection (Thunder Rosa & Deonna Purrazzo)

Four very capable wrestlers, though if you look at the AEW form then this match is only going to go one way. But then that's one of the beauties of wrestling, sometimes things happen and results occur you don't expect as TV Network upset the clear league leaders in 10:11 when Trinity pinned Purrazzo with a Nightmare. 60
Blanchard performed worse than everybody else (48, next best Trinity 58)
Trinity benefitted from public support.

Renee Paquette has Adam Copeland with her. She asks his thought on Cage trying to steal Spike... Copeland says that shows Cage is nothing more than a low life... he used to be his best friend but now he's his worst enemy... he got personal with my family, now he's trying to steal my personal belongings... Copeland lifts up Spike that he had by his side... if you want Spike that badly Christian... you can get up close and personal in eight days at The Big Gamble... Paquette looks a little shaken at the simple sight of Spike. 73

MalakaiBlack12.jpg.b39de5745b7051bf1a016a6633185692.jpg v TrentBarreta.jpg.239b4433740c866ca67c52c754963502.jpg
OWEN HART FOUNDATION MEN'S TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND
Malakai Black v Trent Beretta

A decent match. Beretta put up a good fight but in the end it was Black's mixture of mat wrestling and his striking, particularly with his feet, that won the day, his triumph arriving in 11:21 by pinfall with a Black Mass. 59

Lexy Nair is here for her AEW League Report, and she is with The Spooky Club, minus Malakai Black who has just won in the ring. Sting says they have a spooky bunch of crazies and he loves it... but they haven't been performing and he says he's not used to being at the bottom of the pile... Julia Hart agrees, saying The House always wins, so why can't The Spooky Club? Danhausen lets out an evil laugh. 56
Danhausen benefitted from public support.

JackParry4.jpg.e82751ec0bca194b0fe7d43858d5b069.jpgVincent(5).jpg.d6323eabc61bdb6b30732e2cb3e20e7e.jpgDutch.jpg.cbe076dcb4702b5c55ab94679cfda429.jpg v MattTaven.jpg.02283349e02fde16e7ec3b1766c6f997.jpgMikeBennett2.jpg.c82501933ed596efe2ab9967547514c4.jpgRoderickStrong.jpg.c0a0ca5a5b2947955ffa98eb2d0ab168.jpg
'Anaconda' Jack Perry & The Righteous (with Jake 'The Snake' Roberts) v Undisputed Kingdom (with Wardlow)
A decent match and one where Roderick Strong did his best to stay away from Jack Perry and also Jake Roberts. When he was in the ring, the International champion proved to be the difference maker as he lead his side to the win in 11:07 when Taven pinned Vincent with an Arm Trap Headlock Driver. 59
Strong out performed everybody else (65, next best Bennett and Taven 54)

Alex Marvez is backstage with the TBS champion Ruby Soho and her challenger in eight days time Kris Statlander. Both Statlander and Soho talk about how they get on well backstage, but Soho says that at The Big Gamble and they are in the ring, what goes on backstage doesn't matter a dime, she's keeping her title... Statlander responds by saying she's right that when they are in the ring they won't be friends, but the title is going back to Statlander. 50
Statlander benefitted from public support.

RickyStarks3.jpg.738ce60fd71eb2cda13a9fc4ed91a782.jpgBigBill3.jpg.75802688c5c90635686393bd501613a3.jpg v BuddyMatthews5.jpg.bb3db7b4c3aa9a59f43d6ff09febfe3d.jpgBrodyKing8.jpg.89cc44c05c813571135163ea6b153f80.jpg
'Absolute' Ricky Starks & Big Bill v House of Black (with Julia Hart)
A decent match, though Starks carried his team. Fortunately for the former World Tag Team champions, the efforts of Starks was enough to carry them to victory in 10:17 when Starks pinned Matthews with a Spear. 61
Bill performed worse than everybody else (43, next worst Matthews 56)
Matthews and King have great chemistry.

In a pre recorded segment, Jim Ross is sat down with the four men who will be in The Big Gamble - World champion Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland, Bryan Danielson and MJF. Each has their turn to speak and say they are risking everything to be in the match... Strickland says he is risking never being able to challenge for the title again... MJF says he is risking his job... Danielson says he is risking his entire career... Joe says he is risking his title, though he's keeping it... which prompts everybody to stand up and start shouting at each other, saying they will win... JR says tensions are rising early ahead of a high stakes match. 73
Strickland benefitted from a hot catchphrase.

JordynneGrace9.jpg.376cb353c4a55b06066a08938c86d399.jpg v JamieHayter.jpg.dfa2918e3325aca1e5d5d66e822de49a.jpg
AEW LEAGUE
Timeless Ensemble (Jordynne Grace) v Black Lotus (Jamie Hayter)

A very intriguing encounter between two top powerhouses in the women's division. However, despite some of the wrestling being quite decent, the match as a whole just felt somewhat flat. League points matter here though and it was Hayter who won for Black Lotus in 11:44 by pinfall with a Curb Stomp. 49
Grace and Hayter don't click at all and it showed.
Hayter benefitted from public support.

We are at an airport near the arena and Undisputed Kingdom, including Adam Cole are rushing to get on their private plane, presumably to get away from Jack Perry and Jake Roberts, or more specifically, their snakes as soon as possible... However, it seems that instead of rushing from them, they have rushed to them... as as soon as they have boarded, loud screams are heard from inside and Roderick Strong literally runs off the plane, closely followed by Adam Cole, hobbling as fast as he can... Taven and Bennett follow behind them and Wardlow is seen dropping snakes out of the plane... then the camera picks up Jack Perry and Jake Roberts sharing an evil laugh while lurking behind a baggage trolley. 49

AEW LEAGUE
Team Swerve (Santana, Nick Nemeth & Swerve Strickland (with Prince Nana) v The Golden Lion Club (Claudio Castagnoli & Lucha Brothers (with Alex Abrahantes))

A good main event and again, Fénix was amazing. He is very much on top of his game at the moment and he could well be the hottest man in AEW at the moment. Credit too to Strickland, if it wasn't for him this match would only have lasted a few minutes. However, he couldn't prevent defeat as The Golden Lion Club took the points in 16:05 when Penta pinned Santana with a Fear Factor. 70 - match of the night
Santana 56, Nemeth 55, Strickland 78, Castagnoli 67, Penta 74, Fénix 88

Le Champion Le Sex God The Painmaker The Ocho Lionheart Chris Jericho comes out to the ring. He calls out Sami Zayn, who duly obliges... Jericho tells Zayn he failed in WWE and he is going to fail in AEW... Zayn doesn't take that lying don't and says that Chris Jericho has fewer friends than he won World Championships... Jericho mock grins and says wrestling is a business, not a social and titles matter and Jericho will always be the first AEW World champion... Zayn says that is all well and good but when The Big Gamble ends a week on Sunday, he will make sure that Chris Jericho has wrestled his last AEW match... The two get in each other's faces and start brawling as Collision goes off the air. 70
Zayn benefitted from public support.
Zayn is improving at his gimmick.

Given Peak of Perfection somehow picked up two losses this weak, I think it'd be a good idea if we remove this week from the record books to return an air of normalcy to the division.

DYNAMITE

I haven't used him in a while so I am going to have the mouthpiece of The Golden Lion Club Chris Jericho take on whatever scraps Team WooItsNathan can scrounge up.

COLLISION

Black Lotus is going to take on the tried-and-true formula of Claudio Castagnoli and the Lucha Brothers for the men's trios match.

Also looking back at when I first assembled my team, I got the Lucha Brothers to be my main tag guys with Claudio set to be my primary singles guy and Chris my secondary depending on the week.  Now Fenix has definitely taken the crown of my main guy off of Claudio.  Chris is still going to be the mouthpiece since if I am correct, he should still have the best mic skills out of my entire team.

PRE SHOW
Bullet Club Gold beat Dark Order in 9:50 when Austin submitted Uno. 59

AEWDynamite2.jpg.1b7ba2b8b4d88e1769c386ca2b103089.jpg
DYNAMITE
Wednesday, week 3, April 2024
Indiana Farmers Coliseum, Indianapolis, Indiana (6,500 capacity)
Announcers: Excalibur, Taz and Tony Schiavone

We start the show with The Elite in the ring. Adam Page calls out Steve Austin and Austin obliges... those he doesn't come alone as Drew Galloway, Eddie Kingston and Kenny Omega accompany him to the ring... Austin says in years gone by he would have no problem coming to the ring alone and stomping a mud hole in all their asses... but he knows he's older now and his body can't do what it used to and what he wants... but he has three men here who are more than willing to fight with him... The EVPs said they would be very happy to and as EVPs they have the power to make the matches... but not in Indiana as the people here are worthless... cue very loud boos... Page gets back on the mic and demands to know who he is fighting at The Big Gamble... Austin replies by saying that they already know who will fight Page... but Page will find out like everybody else at The Big Gamble... Page is fuming so attacks Kenny Omega who is closest to him, which sparks a six man brawl between The Elite and Steve Austin's men... and Austin gets to stomp a mud hole in Adam Page after all. 79

Backstage and we see Latin American Xchange looking like they will put another beating on the Don Callis Family as Santana, Ortiz, Rush, Vikingo, Guevara, Dralistico and Konnan out number Hobbs, Takeshita, Fletcher and Callis... however they are joined by Jeff Cobb who appears on screen and on sight of the man built like a small bungalow, LAX become a little more hesitant... indeed Konnan calls his crew off what looked a likely assault on their foes... Callis is gloating that his associate, the mercenary Jeff Cobb has evened the sides somewhat. 58

We are now in the office of Tony Khan, where Khan himself sits behind a large desk with usual office paraphernalia adorning it. In burst Undisputed Kingdom where Adam Cole demands that Tony Khan does something about the snakes that Jake Roberts and Jack Perry are using to traumatise them...
