Congratulations on the year longedness (yes, it's a word) my man. A year is a truly brilliant accomplishment as you've kept the quality up all that time and haven't missed a step (aside from putting Smackdown on the Learning Channel :p ) and you've got a great diary on your hands. For me, the sign that this is a great diary is in the build up to Wrestlemania there is the opportunity for many different scenarios to play out. After a year, it is possible that you could just run out of ideas. You clearly haven't.

And I don't run out of ideas, as soon as one idea plays out, it's usually created two or three more... It's like a hydra, lol.

Monday, January, Week 3 'Hey... Nothing you can say...' Randy Orton is standing in the ring, the crowd booing loudly. "In just two weeks time, I will be standing in this very ring, as the winner of the Royal Rumble, and then it's just two months until I stand before you as the NEW WWE Champion!" *BOOO!* "You see, unlike all of these other losers who are going to be in the match, I'm actually too good to give you idiots a free show." *Cheap Heat* "These guys have to bust their asses night in, night out, while I sit backstage and watch. Because I am the youngest ever World Champion. I am the LegendKiller. And I'm the biggest star in the WWE!" Orton says. 'Well... Well it's the Big Show!' The crowd pops, as The Big Show steps out onto the stage. "Did you say the biggest star in the WWE?" Show asks. "I meant it figuratively you big dope!" Orton replies. "You think you're off TV because you're a star? I happen to know it's because we lose half our viewers everytime your face appears on TV!" Show says, to a cheap laugh. "You have no idea what you're talking about! I'm the youngest World Champion in the history of the WWE. What are you? Nothing but a freak!" "How many times have you been World Champ Randy? Just that once? Well I've lost count of how many times I've held a World Title belt. I'm a seven foot tall, five-hundred pound giant, and come Royal Rumble, I'm going to crush you, and anyone else who gets in my way!" Another familiar song hits, and the crowd starts chanting *You Suck!* as Kurt Angle steps out onto the stage. "Anyone else? Well Show, it doesn't matter who you crush, because by the time I come out, you're going to be completely exhausted. And once I've broken your ankle, it'll be child's play eliminating you." Angle says. "You couldn't lift me if Randy here helped you. If I go down, no-one's going to be able to lift me off the mat." Show says. "Unless McMahon's secret entrant is Superman." Orton says. "Who cares about Vince's mystery #30? I know I don't. It could be anyone, I'll snap their freakin' ankle, see how they wrestle then!" Angle says. "Just our of curiousity Kurt... How many ankles have you actually snapped?" Show asks, and Kurt looks really, really p*ssed off. (Rating: A*) JBL appears on the TitanTron. "Guys, before you do anything, you should really think about your match tonight... Not you Randy... But Kurt, Show, you guys will be facing each other later tonight in the main event." JBL says, to a decent pop. "Oh, and Kurt, if you break his ankle, he won't be able to compete in the Royal Rumble... Just thought you should know..." (Rating: A) *Break* vs Paul London vs Jimmy Yang and Funaki JBL seems determined to find someone in the Lightweight Division that's better than London, this time resorting to two guys... It's not enough though, London hits Yang with a Dropsault and makes the pin. (Rating: B-) JBL is on the TitanTron again... "Paul! Nice work... Just one more match left for you until the Royal Rumble... And guess what! It's going to be the hardest one of them all! Against a man who took you to your limits five times! A man who you barely beat three out of five times last year... Jushin 'Thunder' Lyger!" He announces, and London looks really, really happy about it, much to JBL's dismay. (Rating: B+) *Break* Billy the Kid is standing in the ring as we come back from the break, and with him is... Is that Los Conquistadors? I wonder who's behind the masks this time... "Teddy Hart... You've got your family to back you up... The Stampede Bulldogs and Nattie Neidhart, the New Hart Foundation or whatever the hell you call yourselves... Well I've got some backup too. I present to you the latest in a long line of teams to call themselves Los Conquistadors... Conquistador Uno and Conquistador Dos." The Kid says. "Yo! Teddy Hart, Harry Smith, TJ Wilson, you better get your gringo asses down to this ring right now, so we can start something!" One of them... Uno I think... says. "And bring that fine-ass honey Nattie with you, we can have some fun after!" Dos (I guess) says. (Rating: C) The Hart Foundation's music hits, and Teddy is leading his cousins and TJ onto the stage. "You wanna bring your little Mexican buddies out here and challenge the greatest family in the history of wrestling? You must be out of your minds." Teddy says. "You've got another thing coming if you think Nattie would waste her time with losers like you." Harry adds. "Yeah, she's got a real man!" TJ finishes, as Nattie wraps her arms around him. "So let's do this!" Teddy says, charging into the ring. (Rating: C+) vs The New Hart Foundation vs Billy the Kid and Los Conquistadors A very close match, Los Conquistadors flying around the ring almost as well as the Lightweight Champ himself, but still managing to take it to the ground nearly as well as the Harts. It's not enough though, as Harry Smith powers through, before making the tag to TJ Wilson... TJ continues the fight, but before long, Billy the Kid has pulled Teddy and Harry off the apron, and is fighting both of them... poorly. But it provides enough distraction for Los Conquistadors to double-team TJ Wilson, lifting him to the turnbuckle, and hitting him with a double-moonsault uranage, Dos pinning him, as Uno shouts "That's the Conquistador Drop b*tch!" before slingshoting over the top rope, taking out everyone on the outside, as the ref turns to count the pinfall. (Rating: B) Billy the Kid then leads Los Conquistadors in continuing the fight, beating down the Hart Foundation, until Nattie grabs a chair and wards them off, even these guys aren't evil enough to beat on a girl. (Rating: C+) *Break* Angel Williams is standing by with Chris Masters... "Chris, in just a few moments, you're facing Rene Dupree, with a spot in the Royal Rumble on the line... Do you have any thoughts?" Angel asks. "Why yes I do sweet-cheeks... Tonight, I'm going to add another victim to the list of wrestlers who can't break the Masterlock! Bigger, stronger men than Rene Dupree have tried, and failed... It looks like my place in the Royal Rumble is secure." Masters says. (Rating: B) Chris Nowinski is standing in the ring, with the remaining Tough Enough contestants... "Ladies and gentlemen, before I announce this week's elimination, we're going to do things differently... This week, the challenge will come before the elimination... And the challenge is... A Pose-Down!" Nowinski announces, to a large female response, which is almost overshadowed by the boos from the male portion of the audience. The various men strip down to their shorts, and start posing, and the winner, by crowd reaction, is Tony Ward. "Congratulations Tony, you must be proud... And this week's elimination is... Sorry, Joshua Masters!" Nowinski says. Josh isn't happy about having to strip, just to be eliminated, as he storms up the ramp, giving the crowd the finger as he goes. "Voting is open, and the numbers are on the bottom of your screens now, we'll see you next week." Nowinski finishes. (Rating: C) *Break* vs Chris Masters vs Rene Dupree Chris Masters' Masterlock might be unbreakable, but that doesn't matter if he doesn't get it locked in. He makes a number of attempts, but Dupree manages to slip out before he finishes. Eventually, Dupree takes control, and hits a Dupree Driver for the pinfall. (Rating: B) And once again, we're greeted by JBL on the TitanTron. "You folks thought that qualifying match was good? Just wait until next week, when it's Rob Conway facing Rodney Mack!" He announces, to a rather indifferent response. (Rating: B) *Break* Ken Anderson is in his locker room... We don't know why, he's not in a match... When William Regal storms in. "What do you wa-" Anderson gets cut off. "What the bloody hell where you thinking last week? You're a bloody coward, leaving me to fight the Undertaker!" Regal is livid. "Listen, you'd have done the same, and don't you pretend any differently. In the choice between me being beat up by the Undertaker, and someone else being beat up by the Undertaker, I'm going to go with the other guy..." "That's a bloody rotten thing to do, and I should know..." "Nice guys finish last Regal, that's why I'm an *sshole! And that's why I'm the WWE Champion!" "Bu-" "Champion!" "This isn't over." Regal storms back out. (Rating: A*) vs The Big Show vs Kurt Angle A good match, the different styles don't clash too much, but we don't get a clear winner, as after around 15 minutes, Randy Orton hits Big Show with an RKO, before hitting a DDT on Angle, laying both out, and resulting in a Double-DQ. (Rating: A) *Break* John Bradshaw Layfield is out in the ring. "I'm sure you all witnessed what happened just moments ago, between three competitors in the Royal Rumble match... Randy Orton, The Big Show and Kurt Angle... Well, I'm happy to inform you that all three will be in action next week! In a triple-threat match, which will determine their rankings in the Royal Rumble match! The winner will go in later, and the loser will go in earlier! Kurt Angle will be going in with nothing to gain and everything to lose, because he can't go in any later than he already is... I hope he lives up to his own hype. And yes, Randy Orton has agreed to competing on television, but only if there's an extra commercial break during the match, to pay for his services." JBL announces, to a mixed reaction (good for the match, bad for Orton). (Rating: A*) "And speaking of things that happened earlier, I noticed Ken Anderson and William Regal had a little argument backstage about the Undertaker... So next week, it's going to be a tag team match, between Ken Anderson and William Regal and Lance Storm and The Undertaker!" The crowd pops. (Rating: B+) 'MIS-TER! AN-DER-SON!!! ANDERSON!' "Wait a minute Bradshaw! You want me, just a week before the No-DQ Winner-Takes-All match, to face The Undertaker in a tag-team match, with a partner that I don't trust?" Ken Anderson isn't looking happy. "That's exactly what I want. It makes for entertaining TV, doesn't it?" *Cheers* "I don't give a damn about entertaining these fans. I'm only interested in winning at the Royal Rumble! And how the hell am I expected to do that, if six days before, I'm in a mathc, where three guys will be gunning for me?" "But you're the 'fastest rising star in Sports Entertainment'... Can't you handle it?" "Of course I can! It just inconveniences me." "Then you can stand to be a little inconvenienced... Because the match isn't changing champ." "That's Mister Champ to you! Now get out of my way, I'm going to address my fans." "You'd better watch yourself." JBL says, but still gets out of the ring... (Rating: A*) "Ladies and gentlemen, it's just two weeks until your hero, the man who is single-handedly changing Monday Nights, is the only double-champion in the WWE! Because at the Royal Rumble, after the match is over, both the WWE Championship, and the Intercontinental Championship will belong to... MIS-TER! AN-DER-SON!!!" He climbs the turnbuckle... *Anderson!* Ken Anderson doesn't get to finish, as the lights go out. *DONG!* On screen appears a headstone, with Ken Anderson, Royal Rumble 07, RIP... *DONG!* The image changes to the count-down... *DONG!* The blue light turns on, showing Ken Anderson, almost cowering in the ring, as the Undertaker's voice rings out... "In thirteen days, Ken Anderson... You will REST... IN... PEACE!!!" (Rating: A*) Overall: B+ Attendance: 4942 Rating: 254,981

Friday, January, Week 3 John Cena's music hits, and he gets a decent reception (thank god for the Mid South crowds ;)), as he heads down to the ring. "Damn it's great to be back on my feet again. Last time you saw me, I wasn't in great shape... I was halfway through winning my match against the Big Red Machine, Kane, when Triple H decided to do what he does best... He sneak-attacked me with his sledgehammer... He knocked me unconscious in the middle of this very ring... And Kane didn't even have the decency to join in... He just sat back and watched... He even laughed... Kane! If you wanna see me in pain, you can do it yourself... Triple H, if you wanna fight me, you can come and face me like a man, instead of just attacking me everytime my back is turned. Basically... What I'm trying to say to both of you is... You want some?" *COME GET SOME!* "Come... Get... Some!... I don't care if I have to face Triple H, I don't care if I have to face Kane. I don't care if I have to face both. Hell, I'd be willing to take them both on right here, right now, in a handicap match!" *Pop!* "So what d'ya say Trips? Kane? Get your asses down here." (Rating: B+) 'No chance... That's what you've got...' Vince McMahon steps out onto the stage. "John, you've given me a hell of an idea for a main event tonight... You're going to get your wish... You'll have the World Heavyweight Champion, Triple H, and Kane right there, in that ring... But I can't risk my brand's Royal Rumble Main Event by putting the #1 Contender in a Handicap match less that two weeks before the pay per view, so you've got the rest of the night to find yourself a partner... Good luck." (Rating: A) "John... Oh John... Up here." Triple H appears on the TitanTron. "What the hell is wrong with you? You're lucky to even be on your feet tonight... And you come out here and call out the King of Kings, Triple H? How many times do I have to beat the holy hell out of you, until you get the message? You wanted a handicap match? You're the dumbest guy on the roster. And now you've basically got a handicap match on your hands anyway... Because who the hell is going to be as dumb as you? Who's going to be willing to get into the ring with me? And my partner, Kane... But he's barely an afterthought... I'm your problem, because I am The Game! And I am THAT DAMN GOOD!" (Rating: A) *Break* vs Briscoe Brothers vs Lost Boyz Another pre-Rumble tag team match, this one's pretty clear... One of the top contenders to the Tag Team Championships, taking on a team that has never, ever won a match... You do the math. Jay Briscoe pins Azrael, following the J-Driller. (Rating: C) Goldust is backstage with Sean O'Haire... "Ooooh... Are you ready?" Goldust asks, just recieving a dull stare from O'Haire. "Come on Seany... We're partners tonight... We should be bonding..." O'Haire begins to growl. "I love it when you get all aggressive." O'Haire swings at him, but Goldust dodges. "Mmmm... You're making me crazy... But save it for Garrison Cade and Hardcore Holly later..." Dr Bayless walks in. "Oh, you're here... I've been meaning to talk to you... Perhaps I could book you in for a session?" she says to Goldust. "Sorry Becky... You're not my type..." Goldust looks at O'Haire and licks his lips, before heading out. "I feel so... Dirty... Cheapened... And lost tonight." O'Haire mutters. (Rating: B) *Break* "This is Jeremy Borash, and I'm here with the 'New HeartBreak Kid' Brian Kendrick, and the men he'll be teaming up with tonight, the #1 Contenders to the Tag Team Championships... Johnny Kashmere and Trent Acid, the Backseat Boyz." Borash says. "Look, I've got nothing against any of these guys... Bob Inc, they're just the Tag Team Champions... I've got my sights set on the Royal Rumble, and they're not in my way. Ultimo Dragon, on the other hand, is also in the Royal Rumble... It's just too bad he's not really a challenge to someone of my skill... I'm only in this match so I can get paid tonight. I'll let these guys talk." Kendrick says. "Bob Inc... You should enjoy those titles while you still can... Because in just nine days, you're going to be left broken... bloody... and bruised in the middle of that ring, and we'll be the ones leaving with our Tag Team Championships." Kashmere says. "And Ultimo Dragon... You cut in on our fun last week... You think you're a hero? Or did you just want to send a message to Brian Kendrick? Either way, you're just going to be another victim of the Backseat Boyz." Acid finishes. (Rating: B) (w/)vs(w/) Garrison Cade and Hardcore Holly vs Goldust and Sean O'Haire (w/Dr Bayless) Four guys with what Michael Cole (repeatedly) calls a 'smashmouth' style, all in the ring, showing off pretty much the entire SmackDown midcard (except the tag teams). Goldust's antics continually irritate his tag team partner, until O'Haire gets so sick of it, he turns around and walks out, leaving Goldust to face Cade and Holly on his own... Doesn't take much for Cade to hit a DDT and get the pinfall. (Rating: B) This isn't enough, with Holly and Cade continuing to beatdown the Golden One. (Rating: B) *Break* vs Brian Kendrick and The Backseat Boyz vs Ultimo Dragon and Bob Inc In a decent six-man tag team match, we get a good combination of speed, technique and power, as all six men get a decent offense in. Eventually, Brian Kendrick gets Ultimo with the Sliced Bread #2 and scores the pinfall. (Rating: C+) Brian Kendrick slips out of the ring and heads up the ramp, whilst the Backseat Boyz attack Bob Inc, beating them down to the mat, before Matt and Jeff Hardy rush down to make the save, apparently still not happy about last week's attack. (Rating: B-) *Break* Triple H is warming up in the D-X locker room, when Brian Kendrick walks up to him. "Well Trips, D-X is 2 and 0 tonight... I hope you don't screw it up for us... Good luck out there." Kendrick says, slapping Trips on the back and walking out. (Rating: A) The camera goes back into the ring, where John Cena is standing. "You know, Triple H was right... It was hard finding someone crazy enough to get involved in this match... But there's plenty of guys who want to get in on the title scene... And this guy's the coolest of them all..." Cena says. 'I spit in the face, of people who don't want to be cool.' Carlito heads down to the ring, where he shakes hands with Cena, the two getting a decent pop. (Rating: A) *Break* vs John Cena and Carlito vs Kane and Triple H A good match to cap off the night, four of the bigger stars on the roster duke it out, with the action going backward and forwards... Neither team can get an advantage... Until Booker T jumps onto the apron, distracting Carlito long enough for Kane to hit a Chokeslam and get the pin, whilst Triple H brawls on the outside with Cena. (Rating: B+) Booker and Kane attack Carlito in the middle of the ring, as Brian Kendrick and Garrison Cade run down the ramp, to aid their D-X stable-mate in his beat-down of Cena. The heels have a clear advantage... That is, until Sean O'Haire charges down the ramp with a steel chair, which he wraps around Cade's head, the heels backing off. (Rating: B+) Vince McMahon is on the stage. "Damnit, I'm tired of all this unsanctioned fighting... Does this look like Nitro to you? Well seeing as everyone just loooves to fight on this show, I've got some matches for next week... Starting with Brian Kendrick and Garrison Cade, who'll be facing the Tag Team Champions, Bobby Lashley and Bob Sapp, in a non-title match!" Vince says, Kendrick looking annoyed, but not worried. (Rating: B+) "Booker T! You get involved in this match tonight... So you'll be in a tag team match next week... You'll be teaming up with Hardcore Holly, to take on the team of Carlito and Sean O'Haire!" Vince adds, and Booker looks unhappy, and looks like he's talking about racists... (Rating: B+) "And the last match I'm making... The main event next week... The World Heavyweight Champion, Triple H will be facing, in a non title match... KANE!" (Rating: A) Triple H and Kane both turn and face each other, as the crowd starts to cheer... They trade blows, before Kendrick and Cade attempt to attack him, but are pulled away by O'Haire and Carlito, Booker T and John Cena get involved, and it's on... Bodies flying everywhere, until Kane Chokeslams the champion, causing everyone to stop and look up in fear and awe, as we close the show. Ok, I'm taking the next two weeks off... I've got my last five assignments for the year, all due next week, so I kind of need to get started... After that though, I'm practically free... It's study week, so I'll be able to post the last two shows and the Royal Rumble, then the post-Rumble Raw, then I've got exams, so SmackDown will be a week late... After that though, I'll post somewhat sporadically, in an effort to fast-track to No Way Out, to make up for lost time (I'm hoping to get WrestleMania posted before the Year End Awards...)

Ok... When I started this hiatus, I may have promised to have RAW posted by tonight... But one of my due dates got changed, so I kind of procrastinated, and I'm going to be spending all day on my last assignments. But I will post RAW tomorrow sometime, it's study week, and I'm sure I can take a break in my studying to post here :D. Just thought I'd let y'all know I'm still around.

Presents... Monday, January, Week 4 Royal Rumble Qualifying Match vs Rob Conway vs Rodney Mack This week we decided to start RAW with an actual wrestling match... Weird. Rodney Mack has looked pretty good in recent weeks... However, that's not enough, Rob Conway is in another league, pinning Mack following a Belly-to-Belly Suplex. (Rating: C+) JBL is watching on a TV in his office. "Damn... They both made it." He mutters, before Orton storms in. "John, I'm not sure about this match tonight... I mean, I've got a lot to lose out there!" Orton says. "You already agreed Randy, besides, if you win, you'll get the #27 spot... Or, if you pin Angle, that #29 spot will free right up." JBL says. "And on the off chance I lose? If they gang up on me? I'll go from the middle to the start! I don't want to have to fight for the whole match!" "Then you'd better not let that happen. I've got the legally binding contract on my desk, which you signed last week. You're in this match, whether you like it or not." JBL says. (Rating: A*) The Big Show walks in. "What's wrong Randy? You scared? Well you should be. JBL might want to put me in that match from the beginning, but I know as well as you do that in a Royal Rumble match, it doesn't matter when I enter, there's no-one strong enough to eliminate me alone... Not you... Not Angle... Not Kane... Not even The Undertaker. And it doesn't even matter who Vince McMahon's #30 entrant is, because there's no-one in the world better suited to a battle royal than the 7-foot tall, 500 pound giant!" Show says. (Rating: A*) In the interview area, we have Angel Williams standing by with Paul London. "Paul, in just a few moments, you'll be facing a man you've called your toughest opponent, a legend amongst lightweights, Jushin 'Thunder' Lyger. Do you have any thoughts?" Angel asks. "You're right, Jushin Lyger is one of the toughest opponents I've had to fight in the whole time I've been in the WWE. He's fast, he's strong, he's technically gifted... We had a Best of Five Series, each match a classic, and I barely won three of them. That series is available on WWEShop.com by the way... But Jushin Lyger, I've evolved since our series... I've fought a lot of great wrestlers, not just lightweights. I've learned a lot in these past few months. Tonight, I'm going to give you the fight of your life. Why? Heh... Because I can!" London says. (Rating: B-) *Break* vs Paul London vs Jushin 'Thunder' Lyger London looks strong all through this match, but unfortunately, that makes for less exciting action, with two thirds of the match being under his control. The match is still solid however, as London proves just how far he's come, hitting Lyger with a Dropsault for the pin. (Rating: B) JBL's music hits, as the Chairman of RAW steps out onto the stage. "Well Paul... Looks like you've proven that you're the best choice from the Lightweight Division... I guess you'll be in the Royal Rumble match on Sunday!" The crowd pops, as London raises his arms in victory. "Don't celebrate too hard though Paul, you're in for a long fight... At least, you are if you intend to win from the #1 entrance." JBL says, and the crowd boos. "Bradshaw, I don't give a damn what spot I get in that match, so long as I'm in it. I'm going to win, and go on to become the Champ at WrestleMania!" Another pop from the crowd. Grenier gets the pin on Tony Ward, with a handful of tights after about five minutes. (Rating: C) Chris Nowinski heads down to the ring. "Ladies and gentlemen, the votes are in... It's time to go... Steven Thesz!" He announces, and Steven Thesz is carried out by the remaining competitors, having taken a stiff clothesline from Tanaka during the match. (Rating: C) *Break* Backstage, Ken Anderson is in his locker room, shining his title belt. Regal storms in. "What the bloody hell are you doing? We've got a match tonight!" "I know... Hey, did you see WCW Souled Out last night?" Anderson asks. "What? Of course not! What does that have to do with anything?" Regal splutters. "Well, there was a match on that card... Dave Bautista vs Ultimate Warrior... I've been dreading that match since Bautista jumped to that sinking ship... It was so brutal to watch... Not because it was violent... It was just terrible... Well our match tonight... It's going to be even harder to watch. Because it will be violent." "Yes it will! Because The Undertaker is going to bloody well dismantle us because you were shining your belt instead of getting ready!" "I'll take care of The Undertaker... Don't you worry. You just keep Lance Storm from interfering..." "You honestly think you can beat The Undertaker? You're mad." "Mad? I'm the WWE Champion... MIS-TER!!! AN-DER-SON!!!" He pauses, and Regal rolls his eyes. "ANDERSON!" (Rating: A) Elsewhere, Teddy Hart and Billy the Kid are having an argument, but it ends abruptly when Billy slaps Hart. The two begin to brawl, before Harry Smith and TJ Wilson try to break it up... But they're blindsided by Los Conquistadors... The six men fight backstage, as a crowd of security moves in to break them up. (Rating: C+) Angel Williams is outside Kurt Angle's locker room. The door opens and Kurt steps out. "Damnit, what the hell do you want? Are you stalking me?" Angle asks. "No Kurt... I'm here to interview you... About your match." Angel replies. "You're here to interview me about my match? JBL screwed me! I'm going out there, and I'm putting my #29 spot on the line... I'm a target. Orton wants my spot, and The Big Show doesn't care who he pins, so long as he doesn't have to run around that damn ring too long... I'm going into this match with nothing to gain, and everything to lose... But it doesn't matter, because tonight, one of those guys is going to get his freakin' ankle broken! It's true! It's DAMN true!" However, the moment The Undertaker gets the upper hand, he tags out to Regal. He then watches as Taker and Storm take turns dismantling Regal. Regal manages to escape from the Undertaker, and attempts a tag, but Anderson refuses, stepping down from the apron, backing up the ramp as The Undertaker hits a Tombstone Piledriver on a confused Regal. 1...2...3. Corny: And if that wasn't enough, both the WWE Championship and the Intercontinental Championship are on the line. A graphic appears onscreen for that match. Wednesday, January, Week 4 2.45pm Paul Levesque (Triple H) steps into Vince's office. "Vince! I just saw the commercial for WrestleMania... Your guys did a great job." Paul Levesque says. "Why thank you Paul, but the credit's got to go to Cameron... It was all his idea." Vince replies. "The 'intern'? I still don't believe you've kept him here that long." "Listen, that kid pulled this company back from the brink. And unless he screws it up, I'm going to keep him on staff, he's going to be calling the shots as far as booking is concerned, and you're not going to get in his way... Just remember, you don't have creative control in your contract, you just get the special treatment because of Stephanie. If it comes down to it, you could lose any match Cameron wants you to, and quite frankly, I'd have to agree with any decision he makes... Everything he touches turns to gold. We're still on PPV, RAW and SmackDown are both on the air, we've managed to hold on to our top stars... With the exception of Edge and Batista... not that Batista was much of a loss... In the space of ten months, he's created a new generation of main eventers." "And there's the Royal Rumble... That has the potential to go over huge... Or fizzle completely." "I know... But judging by his track record, it's going to be good." "It had better be..." "One more thing, before you leave..." Vince turns his computer monitor around, revealing Windows Media Player, with what appears to be WCW Emergency playing. "You downloaded Emergency?" "Better than giving them the extra viewers." "What's so damn important?" "Pay attention..." Scott Hudson: Are you kidding me? Jesse Ventura: 1...2...3 Terry Funk: AL SNOW IS THE WCW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!!! HE BEAT LUGER!!! Paul looks at Vince in disbelief, as the two begin laughing their evil laughs...

Presents... Friday, January, Week 4 'Are you ready?' Triple H, Brian Kendrick and Garrison Cade make their way to the ring, with their trademarked DX entrance. "Are you ready?" Trips asks. *BOOOOO!!!* "NO! I SAID ARE!!! YOU!!! READY!?!?!" *More boos* "Then, for the thousands in attendance... For the half million at home... And because in just two days, at the Royal Rumble, we're going to see 'The King of Kings' Triple H retain his World Heavyweight Championship, Garrison Cade win the European Championship, and 'The New HeartBreak Kid' Brian Kendrick outlast 30 men in the Royal Rumble match to become the #1 Contender to the World Title of his choice! LET'S GET READY TO SUCK IT!!!" "But before all of that, we've got business to take care of tonight." Kendrick says. "You're damn right. Vince McMahon sees fit to give us all matches on the last show before one of the biggest Pay Per Views of the year." Trips says. "Not that it matters... Trips..." Triple H glares at Cade... "Uhh, Boss, how many times have you beat Kane? A dozen? Twenty? A hundred?" "I've lost count. Just like I've lost count of the number of times I've beaten down John Cena. And he still has one last title shot at the Royal Rumble. After that, it's time for a new contender... I don't care who it is, because I'll beat them, because I am the GAME! And I am that damn GOOD!" "And, of course, up next, it's going to be Gary and The New HBK taking on the Tag Team Champions, Bobby Lashley and Bob Sapp, and Vince McMahon doesn't even have the balls to make it a title match? Because he doesn't want to ruin the SmackDown half of the Royal Rumble card by losing one of his matches. Boo freakin' hoo." Kendrick says. "On the bright side, if we did win the Tag Titles, we'd have to defend them at the Royal Rumble." Cade says. "And?" "I'd lose my European Title shot, and you'd lose your spot in the Rumble." "Oh. Yeah. Good thing then, huh?" "See, I'm a thinker." "Right..." "You two done?" Trips asks. "Yeah, sorry Trips." Kendrick replies. "Good. I'm gonna head back to the locker room. Kick some *ss tonight guys, do D-X proud." Trips says. "Will do boss." Cade says. "And if you're not down with that, we've got just TWO WORDS FOR YA!" Kendrick begins. *SUCK IT!!!* (Rating: B+) vs Kendrick and Cade vs Bob Inc Kendrick wrestles circles around the Tag Team Champions, both men hardly even able to touch him. For each hit Bob Inc gets in, Kendrick gets three. It's kind of sad to watch. He gets ****y, however, and tags in Garrison Cade. It's not long before Bob Inc have the advantage back in their favour, not permitting Cade to make a tag. Sapp takes Kendrick off the apron, whilst Lashley hits Cade with a Dominator and gets the pin. (Rating: C+) Sapp and Lashley have their hands raised in victory, but the celebration is short-lived, as Trent Acid and Johnny Kashmere come out of the crowd and attack the champs. They eliminate Bob Sapp, and begin to focus on Lashley. Acid goes under the ring and pulls out a length of barbed wire (why do they keep all these things down there?) and wraps it around his fist, before punching Lashley repeatedly in the face, busting him wide open. (Rating: B-) *Break* "This is Jeremy Borash, and I'm standing by with Carlito and... Sean O'Haire." JB says. "JB, tonight, Carlito is teaming up with Sean O'Haire to take on Hardcore Holly and a guy who is unlucky enough to have to face Carlito again, at the Royal Rumble, Booker T. Booker T has it in his head that Carlito hates black people, but if anyone knows about racists, it's Carlito... Carlito is Puerto Rican! You think Carlito's never had to deal with uncool racist guys? But does Carlito complain about it? No. Because Carlito's cool." "Mr O'Haire... Anything to add?" "After all that we've been through? I know we're cool." O'Haire slaps Carlito on the shoulder. "Uh... What?" JB asks. "Mr O'Haire is attempting to express that tonight, he and Carlito are on the same page. And also, he seems to be insinuating that you, unlike them, are not cool." Dr Bayless says, O'Haire nodding along. "Now that... That's cool." Carlito takes a bite of his apple. (Rating: B) Cade and Kendrick are in their locker room. "What the hell were you doing out there?" Kendrick demands. "I don't know..." Cade replies, ashamed. "Damnit, I've got the biggest match of my life coming up, and how do you help me prepare? By killing my momentum! I had that match won! I figured even you couldn't screw this one up... And what happens? Bobby Lashley pins you one, two, three!" "What about me? I've got a European Title match! And I just got smacked around by Bob Inc while you stood on the apron and watched!" "I thought you could handle it. But you know what they say... You want something done right, do it yourself." "Maybe you should have thought of that before you tagged me in." "Maybe I should have." "Fine!" Cade storms out. (Rating: B) John Cena is out in the ring. "Triple H was out here earlier, complaining about how he's got a match tonight, and I don't. Well, I don't want there to be any doubt as to whether I won fair and square this Sunday, and I've honestly got nothing better to do, so I'm making an open challenge. I'll face anyone in that locker room... So someone, anyone... If you want some... Come get some!" Cena says. (Rating: A) Triple H appears on the TitanTron. "You know, I saw this coming John... So I've lined up someone for you to fight." Trips says. "Oh yeah? Who?" Cena asks, but is jumped from behind by... The Lost Boyz, Gabriel and Azreal. (Rating: C+) vs John Cena vs The Lost Boyz The advantage given from the sneak-attack doesn't last long, as Cena dominates both men from bell to bell, pinning Azreal following an F-U after five minutes or so. (Rating: C+) Cena grabs his mic. "That was the best you could do Hunter? I'm disappointed. I hope you put up a better fight on Sunday. I'd hate to think I hadn't earned that World Heavyweight Championship you're wearing right now. Make sure you enjoy your time with it, because in two days time... The Champ is HERE!!!" (Rating: A*) *Break* "This is JB again, this time I'm here with Booker T and Hardcore Holly. Guys, you've already heard what Carlito and O'Haire had to say, what's your response?" Borash asks. "Carlito thinks that because he's been a victim of racism, that he can't be a racist too? Then tell me why he's teaming with a white man?" Booker replies. "Uhh... Booker, you are too." JB argues. "What?" "Hardcore Holly's white." "Tell me you did not just say that. You think I'm not good enough to be Hardcore Holly's partner because he's white?" "Uhh... No?" "You'd better watch yourself sucka! After I'm done with Carlito and O'Haire, I'm coming after your punk-ass!" Booker storms off. Holly shakes his head. "You just went and p*ssed him off." (Rating: B-) (w/)vs(w/) Booker T and Hardcore Holly vs Carlito and Sean O'Haire (w/ Dr Bayless) A nice, even matchup... Right up until the point where Holly distracts the referee, whilst Garrison Cade sneak attacks O'Haire with a Spinebuster, and escaping through the crowd, as Booker T makes the cover. (Rating: B-) *Break* Back in the Degeneration X locker room, Triple H is preparing for his match, Kendrick walks over. "Listen, Trips... Your match tonight... I've got your back." Kendrick says. "You wanna make up for earlier?" "You're damn right I do... I want all the momentum going into the Rumble." "Good. It's time to play the game." (Rating: A) Cole: Well the Royal Rumble is just two days away, only on Setanta Sports. It's the first PPV of the year, and SmackDown's certainly delivering on their half of the card. Coach: Of course we are... Cole: Well, you saw them in action earlier, but at the Royal Rumble, we're going to see Carlito and Booker T going one-on-one, with no partners. A graphic appears on-screen for said match. (Rating: B+) The image changes to Bob Inc vs Backseat Boys Coach: And in a match that would make Paul Heyman cry like a child, the WWE Tag Team Championships will be defended in a Barbed Wire Massacre, when Bob Inc takes on the Backseat Boys! Cole: It's going to be bloody, that's for sure. Coach: Joey Styles will need to change his pants. Cole: What? (Rating: B) The image now changes to the European Title match. Cole: Anyway... These guys have been at each other's throats all month, and at the Royal Rumble, it's all going to be resolved in a match for the European Championship! Coach: How do you know it's going to be resolved? They could go on for years. Cole: That's a good point. (Rating: B) The graphic changes to Triple H vs John Cena for the World Heavyweight Championship. Coach: This match on the other hand, is the last title shot Triple H will allow John Cena to have. Cole: Like he has any say in the matter. Coach: Of course he does, he's the champ. Cole: Well in two days, he might not be. Coach: Why do you say these hurtful things? (Rating: A*) Cole: And of course, then there's the Royal Rumble match. Coach: We'll be seeing fifteen of RAW's biggest superstars getting decimated by SmackDown's superstars. Cole: And we've got a hell of a lineup for you... There's Vince McMahon's top secret 30th entrant. I've got to say, I'm looking forward to finding out who that is. Coach: You don't know? Anyway, don't forget about 'The New HeartBreak Kid' Brian Kendrick. Cole: How could I? And then there's guys like Ultimo Dragon, the Hardys... Coach: Not to mention MNM. Pyros go off and the lights turn red. Cole: And of course, this man... (Rating: B-) (w/)vs(w/) Kane vs Triple H (w/Kendrick) A good, long, even match between the champ and one of the biggest men on the roster. Of course, Brian Kendrick at ringside soon becomes an advantage, with HBK distracting Kane and the ref, but this isn't enough, Kendrick hitting Kane with a Superkick at 13:31, forcing the ref to call for the bell. Kane wins by DQ. (Rating: A) Before D-X can do too much damage to the Big Red Machine, John Cena hits the ring and jumps Triple H. As the champ and #1 Contender brawl around in the ring, Kane fights back against Kendrick, taking it to the outside, and clearing the announce table... He's going to put Kendrick through it! (Rating: B+) No, The Briscoes have entered through the crowd and jumped the big man, perhaps saving Kendrick from a career-threatening injury. It's not long before the Hardys have joined the fray, six of the fifteen SmackDown entrants brawl on the outside area, as Triple H and Cena fight in the ring. Security, refs and road agents flood the arena, trying to separate everyone, as the show closes. (Rating: B) Overall: B Attendance: 4733 Rating: 270,551 (TLC), 294,629(CTV), 565,180 (Total)

Cade takes control early on, following a thumb to the eye, but within a few minutes, O'Haire is back on the offence... Until Cade does the only thing he can do to save himself... Hits a blatant low-blow on the champ, resulting in the DQ. (Rating: A) Now that Cade has O'Haire down, clutching his boys, Cade goes back on the offense, laying the boots in. (Rating: B+) The camera crosses to the interview area, where Angel Williams is standing by with Carlito. "Carlito, tonight you're going to get your hands on Booker T, who has been saying some pretty nasty things about you lately. What are your thoughts?" Angel asks. "My thoughts? Carlito thinks you should come over to SmackDown... You're better than Jeremy Borash." Carlito says. "Thank you." Angel blushes. "But as for Booker... Carlito has had enough. Tonight, Booker T's going to learn to shut his mouth... And that... That will be cool." Carlito says. "Well, JB is standing by with Booker T for his response... Over to you JB." Angel says. (Rating: B) The camera switches to Borash and Booker, standing in another interview area. "Thank you Angel... Booker, your response?" JB says. "Have you ever noticed how the entire announce team is white?" Booker asks. "Uhh, what about Coach?" "What about him?" "Uhh, he's black." "Trust you to discriminate. Don't think I've forgotten about your comments these past few weeks. You're lucky I let you do this interview." "Right... Anyway, do you have anything to say to Carlito?" "Carlito, tonight I'm going to punish you for your racism and bigotry. In that very ring, I'm going to whup your punk-ass all over the place. Can you dig that? SUCKA!?!" (Rating: B) Styles: Unfortunately, due to a timing oversight, we didn't have room for all the action tonight. Corny: As a result, the Lightweight Championship match had to take place early, in the dark match. Styles: But we're bringing you the highlights now... A video plays, showing the fast-paced, high-flying match between Billy the Kid and Teddy Hart. After showing a number of high-spots, it shows Billy the Kid scoring a rollup, with his feet on the ropes, for the pinfall, succesfully defending his title. (Rating: B+) WWE Tag Team Championships Barbed Wire Massacre vs Bob Inc vs Backseat Boyz This match is everything it was hyped up to be, and more. Everyone bleeds, everyone is broken... eventually, however, Bob Sapp powers through the pain and hits a Beast Bomb on Kashmere, and scores the pinfall in this hardcore epic. (Rating: B) Back in the interview area, Jeremy Borash is standing by with Kurt Angle. "Kurt, in just over an hour's time, you'll be competing in the Royal Rumble, with the coveted #29 spot... How does it feel?" JB asks. "How does it feel? What the hell are you talking about? How does it feel? You're worse than Angel..." "I've heard that a lot tonight." "Shut up. Tonight, I'm going in with the best possible spot in the Royal Rumble, #29. I'm going to be fresh, and everyone else is going to be weak." "Uhh, what about #30, Vince McMahon's mystery entrant..." "What about him? I don't give a damn who it is. I'll break his freakin' ankle!" "Really? But, you've got no idea who it is?" "I already told you, it doesn't matter who it is. Tonight, I'm going to win the Royal Rumble, and no-one's getting in my way. It's true! It's DAMN true!" (Rating: B) John Cena walks over. "I wouldn't be that confident if I were you." He says. "What the hell are you talking about?" Angle asks. "About the #30 entrant." Cena replies. "What? You know about that?" "Yeah, Vince has been bragging to the SmackDown guys for weeks about his new signing." "Well, who the hell is it?" "I can't tell you that. It'd give you an unfair advantage." "The SmackDown guys already have that advantage." "You make a good point... Fine." Cena whispers in Angle's ear. "Serious? But, Vince hates him!" "You'd be amazed what he'll do for money." "I've got nothing to worry about, me and him, we go way back." Angle walks off, looking happy. (Rating: A) "Uhh, John... What were you talking about? Vince hasn't told anyone..." JB says. "I know." Cena replies. "So... Can you tell me who the #30 entrant is?" "I don't have a damn clue." "But... What did you just tell Angle?" "I told him the one guy it definitely wouldn't be... A guy you couldn't pay Vince to hire." "Who?" "Edge." "Oh... But, why?" "I just love messing with the guy." "Of course..." (Rating: B-) "John, while you're here... Can I get a word about your match against Triple H?" JB asks. "Triple H? You know, he says that tonight's my last chance at his title... But the way I see it, it's not his title... I should be the champ, but he cheated me out of it every step of the way. So I'm going to take as many chances as I can get, until the CHAMP is HERE!!!" (Rating: B) Meanwhile, in the D-X locker room... "Cade, nice work out there with O'Haire." Kendrick says. "Thanks man... So, you've got the Royal Rumble tonight... Got any tricks up your sleeve?" Cade asks. "Man, I can't tell you now, there's a camera... Wouldn't want me to look as dumb as Kurt Angle just did, would ya?" "Oh right." "I do have something planned though, trust me... By the end of the night, I'll be the #1 Contender, and in the main event at WrestleMania!" "Cool... Well, I'm heading to the bathroom... Good luck tonight." "I don't need luck, luck is for guys who can't win on skill alone." "Oh... Right. Anyway, give 'em hell Brian." "Will do." Cade walks out the door. (Rating: B) As Cade leaves, Triple H steps in. "Trips! Did you just get here?" Kendrick asks. "Yeah, damn driver got lost." Trips replies. "Oh... That's kind of lame." "You're telling me. Had to kick his ass." "Good warm-up though." "Guess so." "Anyway, I've got some stuff I've gotta sort out before the Rumble... See you later." Kendrick moves to leave the locker room. He turns back for a moment."Oh, and champ... Good luck tonight." (Rating: A) vs Carlito vs Booker T This match is even from the beginning... Up until Carlito hits a DDT out of nowhere and takes control. After a few quick holds, Booker T rolls out of the ring and walks up the ramp... Deciding it's not worth the effort, as the ref counts to ten, Carlito wins by count-out after 7.47. (Rating: A) Kurt Angle is backstage with Ken Anderson, standing around in front of the monitor. "Man, that was a horrible match." Anderson says. "You're telling me... But listen, if, by some freak accident you win tonight, you'd better watch your back, because I'm going to be coming after your WWE Championship at WrestleMania." Angle says. "Oh really? And what makes you so sure you can beat me?" Anderson asks. "Because I know who's the #30 entrant... It's Edge." Angle says. "Oh... I knew Cena told you, I saw it on the monitor earlier... Did you happen to catch his promo after?" "No. Why?" "No reason. Anyway, you sure you can work with Edge?" "Man... Don't you remember Team RECK? And then there was that Trish Stratus thing last year..." "Oh yeah. So what, you think you guys can work together?" "Of course. And then, when his back is turned, I'll take him out too." "Right..." "Anyway, I've gotta go get ready." Angle walks off. "Idiot..." Anderson shakes his head, turning back to the monitor. (Rating: A) Elsewhere, we see Paul London, the crowd cheers. Kendrick walks over to him, the crowd's reaction is mixed. "Hey Paul, can I talk to you?" Kendrick asks. "What? You got another crazy guy you want me to save you from, and then leave me for dead?" London asks. "Hey man, I'm sorry about that... But what I wanted to talk about was the Royal Rumble." "What about it?" "Well, you're the #1 entrant, and it's pretty safe to assume I'm going to be in early... Vince isn't my biggest fan." "Where are you going with this?" "Man, if either of us is going to have a chance, we're going to have to work together, to get from start to finish." "You want to work together?" "Exactly... We make a great team, you can't deny that." "We did, didn't we?" "Yeah." "How do I know I can trust you?" "Look, you really can't. But what other choice do you have?" "We'll see." "Great. I'll see you out there." "Yeah. Good luck." "I don't need luck. Luck is fo-" "Yeah, I know. Good luck." London smiles. Coach: It's starting to look like tonight it's all about the King of Kings. Cole: But don't discount Cena's heart and will to win. Cena's music hits, and he enters to a huge pop. (Rating: B+) Coach: And now we go to our newest broadcast colleague... Michael Buffer. "Welcome to tonight's SmackDown Main Event! Tonight's bout is for the Heavyweight Championship of the World!" Buffer says, to a decent pop. "Ladies and gentlemen, children of all ages: Are you ready?!" Buffer asks, to a huge pop. "Then... For the thousands in attendance and the millions, watching at home... So you've known for a while?" "I've known longer than Vince McMahon's known." "Then who is it?" "Chris Benoit." "He works for TNA." "No he doesn't. He's here now." "Oh, I'd better go prepare for him then." Orton looks into the camera and rolls his eyes, before walking away. "Hehe, idiot." Angle says, pleased with himself as he walks away too. The two continue brawling until Anderson decides he's had enough, hitting a low-blow on Taker, but this is a No-DQ match, so it doesn't matter... The crowd's still not happy about it though. Great show, think you did the right thing with the Rumble, athough I could have swore Azreal or Gabriel would have won ;) Kendrick should definitely get a Mania shot now! :) Best part of the night though has gotta be the Angle is convinced Edge is #30 angles, really funny!
