DAVE Rock and Roll Over PPV (at Plum Park in the Tri State) Mon Week 1 Apr 2006 Attendance 15000 Mitch Naess is backstage with Melanie Florence, who announces that her client, Hell Monkey has found a partner to face Hells Bouncer and Doug Peak. That man is Henry Lee, who lost to Hells Bouncer last week, after Doug attacked him. Rating C+. Emma is watching a monitor backstage, listening to Mel’s announcement, and she turns to Bouncer and Doug and gees them up, telling them not to be complacent despite Bouncer having beaten both their opponents recently. Rating B-. Emma’s words seem to have done the trick as her team pick up the victory, despite Hell Monkey dominating proceedings in this hardcore match. Having taken Henry Lee out by power bombing him through a table, Bouncer joined Doug in double teaming Monkey, before they returned to Henry and finished him off with a Damnation Drop onto a chair. Bouncer picks up the pin. Rating C. Eric Tyler comes out to ringside and announces that he will be the guest commentator for most of the rest of the show. “I’m here to see if there are any worthy challengers to my title, once I’ve seen to Nemesis tonight.” Rating A. Next is the re-match between Acid and Darryl Devine, after they drew on Impact. This match follows a similar pattern, with both men’s speed allowing them to avoid the other’s moves. Eventually though, Darryl traps Acid with the Devine Dream Drop for the deserving pin. Rating B-. Darryl celebrates the victory. Acid stands up and grabs Darryl, spinning him around, but then to Darryl’s and the crowd’s surprise, he sticks out his hand and offers Devine his congratulations on a fine performance. Rating C. We next see a short video concerning the four teams in the tag battle, Black Times, New Jersey Devils, the Samoans and the Animalz. Rating C+. In a hardcore match with falls to count anywhere, which saw the 8 men battle everywhere throughout the arena, it eventually ended when Big Cat Brandon (of the Animalz) pinned Tank Bradley on the ramp, approximately one second before Art Reed (of Black Times) forced Alex Braun to tap out. The Animalz are the new No 1 Contenders for the Tag Title. Rating C+. JD Morgan once again continues his war with Joey Minnesota, attacking him as he emerges from the backstage toilets, but he does not allow for the presence of Darryl Devine, who pulls him off Joey. Rating C+. Emma Chase is with her other client, Bryan Holmes. They talk about Shawn Gonzalez, how he likes to consider himself the “lone wolf” of DAVE, and that he doesn’t know the meaning of teamwork. “Bryan here has the backing of the most powerful faction in DAVE, and you’d better be prepared to be taken down by us tonight.” Rating B+. JD Morgan is in the ring, waiting for Joey Minnesota. When Joey is announced, JD cannot wait for the bell and tries to attack the younger man before the bell, but Joey avoids him. The two men eventually lock up in the ring, and produce a match which pleases the crowd, despite both men’s preference for a technical bout. Youth wins out eventually as Joey proves that he has the expertise and strength to defeat JD Morgan with the Minnesota Salute. Rating B. But JD is not finished. Still looking angry, he attacks Joey yet again, this time the surprise factor gives him the advantage, and he gets to pose over Joey to the boos of the fans. Rating B-. Out come the Tag Champions, Guide and Scout, the New Wave, who pose with the belts, generally acting very co ckily. They grab the microphones and remind everyone that it was just one month ago when they beat Adrenaline Rush in a ladder match, and that the same would happen tonight, despite the addition of tables and chairs, making this routine title defence a TLC match. Rating B. Tag Title Match (TLC): New Wave and Adrenaline Rush put on a show for the fans, with a notable high point being Guide and Sammy being dumped through a table from the top of the ladder, when Teddy and Scout collided with the ladder in the ring. This allowed Scout to climb another ladder and grab the belt, as Cuervo grabbed Teddy’s leg and refused to let him make the intercept. New Wave retain the titles again. Rating B. Scout gets Guide to throw him a microphone to the top of the ladder and he addresses the Animalz, telling them that they haven’t got the athleticism to beat New Wave, and that being No 1 Contenders to the tag title only means that they have the honour of being the next poor team to lose to the dominant force in tag team wrestling in the world. Rating B-. Out of nowhere, the Animalz appear, and they push the ladder over, sending Scout flying down onto his partner. But in the ensuing melee, it is the champions who come out on top, overwhelming the challengers with the chairs that are strewn around the ring. Rating B-. Phil Vibert enters the ring and says that he has been thinking about Emma and Bryan Holmes’ comments just now, and that he has made the decision that ANYONE who interferes with the match between Holmes and Shawn Gonzalez, will be fired instantly. Rating B+. Without any interference from Doug Peak or anyone else, Holmes is forced to fight Gonzalez fair and square, especially after Emma is banned from ringside by the referee for tripping Shawn early on. Well fair and square isn’t quite true, as Holmes used every dirty trick in the book on Shawn, a thumb to the eye, a low blow, pin attempts with his feet on the ropes. But nothing seemed to phase Gonzalez, he just kept coming, and eventually threw Holmes outside the ring. The fight raged up the entrance ramp, with neither man noticing the referee reluctantly beginning the count, and the bell rang for a double count out as the fight continued backstage. Rating A. Eric Tyler stands up from the announce table and tells the crowd that he hasn’t been impressed with anyone so far, and that he’s had enough of watching this rubbish, he is going backstage to prepare himself for his match later on, seeing as Nemesis is the only one who has the ability to stretch the master of tradition in the ring. Rating A. Next however is Johnny Martin against Pablo Rodriguez. Pablo looked on fire early on, forcing several near falls, but the match swung when Champagne Lover strolled out to ringside to taunt Pablo in Spanish. This allowed Johnny to string together some moves, resulting in a pinfall after the Twist on the Rocks. Rating B. As Pablo returns backstage, he is greeted by an attack by Lover, and would have been overwhelmed by his attacker, had Johnny Martin not seen what was happening and raced to help him, chasing Champagne Lover off. Rating B. Johnny comes across Chris Caulfield, and offers him a few friendly words of advice and encouragement before his match. Rating A. Cat Jemson is talking to Nemesis. “Eric, you said I was the only one who can stretch you, well I’m not going to disagree there, you and I are a class above the rest of the peasants here in DAVE. However you’ve got one little thing wrong, and that’s who is going to win tonight. No matter how much you like it, you cannot beat me one on one. Yes you pinned me twice earlier this year, but you had help to do it both times, three other guys at Back to Black, and Johnny Martin at March into Battle. Two weeks ago we went one on one, and look what happened. I WON. And the same will happen tonight. 1-2-3 the NEW Unified Champion is NEMESIS.” Rating A. As Nemesis is talking, a cage is being lowered over the ring. “It’s not just an ordinary cage,” says Phil, “it’s a Hell in a Cell, the most vicious match in a cage you can have. No escape, to win you have to pin your opponent or make him submit.” “And the cage is a weapon in itself, and these two guys are the best at finding imaginative ways to hurt their opponents,” adds Mitch. It’s Eddie Peak versus Chris Caulfield, match 4. And as normal, they go at it hammer and tongs, both getting busted open through collisions with the unforgiving steel cell. Eddie gets the upper hand and is about to pin Chris, when Caulfield grabs the ref’s shirt and accidentally pulls him into a ring post, knocking him out. While he is out, Chris mounts a comeback, including a dive onto Eddie from the top rope, which smashes Peak’s head into the cage, knocking him out cold. As the referee comes round, Chris hits the Danger Drop on the outside, rolls Eddie back into the ring and covers him to take an almost unassailable 3-1 lead in the series, according to Mitch. Rating B+. Phil reminds the crowd of the main event of the evening, it’s Eric Tyler defending the Unified Title against Nemesis. A video shows the recent matches and attacks leading into this encounter. Rating A*. Unified Title Match: And the match lives up to all expectation. The weapons come out early in this one (given that it is under hardcore rules). And the action isn’t contained in the ring either, it's up the ramp, with Nemesis slamming Tyler’s head into the entrance tunnel, and into the crowd, where Tyler threw Nemesis down a flight of stairs. With both men bleeding and clearly out on their feet, the action once again spilled out of the ring and up the entrance ramp, where Nemesis set Tyler up for the Nemesis Arrow off the sound stage. At the last second, Tyler moved, and somehow hit the Tradition Lift simultaneously with the Arrow, sending both men down and off the stage into the equipment below. The camera looked down at both men from above, and when the referee could not wake either man, he declared the contest a double stoppage draw. Rating A*. As the medical staff tend to Nemesis and Eric Tyler, the announcers take us back through the highlights of that incredible match. Rating A. OVERALL RATING = A. 29749 PPV buys, up by another 4000 on last month.

DAVE The Weekly Impact on PPV (at Plum Park in Tri State) Thurs Week 1 Apr 2006 Attendance 12750 Pre Show Brass Knuckles Title Match: Hell’s Bouncer defeats Samoan Machine in a hardcore match to successfully defend his Brass Knuckles Title. Rating C+. Main Show Acid defeats Zeus. Not a lot to say, except that they have good chemistry. Rating C+. Guide, Scout and Cuervo all join Acid in the ring and congratulate him on his win. Cuervo then introduces the newest member of the House of Tradition, Dallas McWade, who joins them all in the ring. Then she turns to Acid and tells him that Dallas is a direct replacement for him in their little group, and that he has 10 seconds to get the hell out of the ring and they don’t want to see or hear from him again. Rating C-. Phil Vibert announces that tonight we will see a tag match featuring the No 1 Contenders, the Animalz against the New Jersey Devils. Rating B. He is interrupted by Black Times, who demand that they get another match with the Animalz, saying that they have reviewed the tapes and that the 3 count that won it for the Animalz was a fast count and that the tap out by Alex Braun to Art Reed would have been before that pinfall if it had been at the correct speed. Phil ignores them, and they eventually return backstage, muttering that they will show everyone. Rating B. The cameras cut to the parking lot, where a gleaming BMW pulls up and out gets Nemesis. “What on earth is he doing here? He and Eric Tyler are both supposed to still be in hospital after their match on Monday!” asks Mitch. Rating A*. The Animalz take on the NJ Devils in a hardcore match. It ends in a no contest when Black Times hit the ring with baseball bats and force all four competitors to seek safety in the crowd. Rating C+. Eventually the two teams decide to work together, and all four of them charge the ring and take on Black Times, which results in a mad brawl for a few minutes. Rating B. Dallas McWade is putting something into the boot of his car, when another car speeds up to him, a masked man jumps out, smacks Dallas' head into the side of his car, and drags him into the car, which races off again. Rating D. Phoebe announces Tatsukichi to the ring, and then his opponent, Dallas McWade. “But we know he’s not going to be here, so what’s going to happen?” asks Mitch. Rating D. “I think we’ve got our answer,” says Phil, as the unmistakeable figure of Nemesis runs to the ring. Rating A. Nemesis jumps straight onto Tatsukichi and never lets up on the youngster as he bullies him from the word go. A total destruction ends, as per normal, with the Nemesis Arrow. Rating B-. Cat Jemson is backstage, interviewing JD Morgan. “We all want to know why you keep attacking Joey Minnesota?” she asks. “Well Cat, its like this. This is all a business to me, and I was made a VERY good offer to take him out.” “You were paid to attack him? By who?” “Yes I was paid, but that’s all I’m saying. Interview over.” Rating B-. A video shows footage of the Hell in a Cell match earlier in the week between Eddie Peak and Chris Caulfield. Rating B. Henry Lee faces off with Scout next, trying to get off his run of defeats. It doesn’t happen here, despite his best efforts, especially when Guide makes it 2 on 1 while Cuervo distracts the referee. Scout wins with the Danger Ahead. Rating B-. Phoebe Plumridge joins her client Shawn Gonzalez in the ring and they talk about Shawn’s match against Bryan Holmes. “Nice to finally have a singles match, Bryan, even if neither of us got the result we wanted. So Phil has told us to try again tonight, same rules, any outside interference will result in someone being fired, which is fine by me. Let’s get it on!” Rating C+. A video plays of that match between Gonzalez and Holmes at Rock and Roll Over. Rating B. Shawn Gonzalez picks up the victory tonight over Bryan Holmes, when Bryan orders Emma to hit Shawn with her boot, while he restrains him from behind. DAVE The Weekly Impact on PPV (at Plum Park in Tri State) Thurs Week 2 Apr 2006 Attendance 12750 Phil and Mitch welcome everyone to the show and announce that one of todays matches will be Johnny Martin against Champagne Lover. “These two have some recent history, they fought twice a couple of months ago, and although Johnny won both, the young Mexican pushed him hard,” says Mitch. “Not only that but when Lover got in his countryman, Pablo Rodriguez’ face at Rock and Roll Over, it was Johnny who broke the fight up,” adds Phil. Rating B. But first we have Acid taking on the man who has replaced him in the House of Tradition, Dallas McWade. Acid gets his revenge, by being too quick and agile for the Canadian monster, which causes Dallas to forget that he is not in his usual hardcore environment tonight, and earns Acid the DQ win when he is hit with a chair to the head. Rating C+. Cat Jemson hears a knock on her dressing room door. When she opens it, there is no one there, but someone has left a bouquet of flowers outside, simply marked “To Cat, with love.” Rating B+. A surprise tag title defence is next, as the champions, New Wave, have agreed to face Black Times. In the end it is business as usual for the undefeated holders, as the Guided Missile picks up the 3 count over Kurt Laramee. Rating B. Cat Jemson comes out with the Animalz and they tell Black Times that they now have nothing to complain about, they got their shot and blew it. Now they should just shut up and get to the back of the queue, the Animalz are the No 1 Contenders. Rating B. Emma Chase knocks on Bryan Holmes’ door. The crowd are still loving this series, loving seeing these two crazies destroying each with anything that they can lay their hands on. “I wonder what they were ‘chatting’ about to convince him to let her stay on?” asks Mitch. Rating B+. Champagne Lover enters the ring and issues a challenge in Spanish. Darryl tells the crowd that he believes that it was a challenge to Pablo Rodriguez to fight him. Rating C+. Eric Tyler comes out to the ring, and tells the crowd that he has now been cleared to wrestle, following extensive physio, and that he is looking forward to tonight’s match, and also to the next match with Nemesis. “Well all apart from being thrown 20 feet onto concrete – I can live without that,” he laughs. Rating A*. Champagne Lover and Johnny Martin face off again next. Once again these two show off their skills, with Johnny trying to ground the elusive youngster, and Lover using hit and run tactics to wear down the veteran. In the end, that experience is again the difference maker, as Johnny rolled out of the way of a Mexican Moonsault, and when Lover returned to his feet, a Twist on the Rocks finished things in style. Rating A. Pablo Rodriguez comes to the end of the ramp and accepts Champagne Lover’s challenge, firstly in English, and then in a tirade of Spanish, which even Darryl can’t follow the gist of. Rating B+. “Obviously Darryl can’t commentate as well as wrestle, so we have invited Nemesis to give us the benefit of his thoughts during the match.” says Phil. Nemesis comes down to the announce table and sits down to a mixture of boos and cheers. Rating A. Darryl Devine is on fire in the early going against Eric, obviously spurred on by the thought of winning the biggest title in DAVE at his first attempt. Nemesis is cheering him on, which confuses Mitch, who was expecting him to be complaining that someone else was getting a title shot. Eric weathered the storm, despite the ominous presence of Nemesis at ringside, and took the offence to Darryl, even hitting the younger man with the Nemesis Arrow, to the amusement of the crowd, if not the man himself. Eventually it is his trademark Tradition Lift which sees him retain his title. Rating B+. Phil climbs into the ring as Tyler is celebrating, and tells him that he has 2 weeks to prepare for his next defence, which will, unsurprisingly, be against his co-commentator. DAVE The Weekly Impact on PPV (at Plum Park in Tri State) Thurs Week 3 Apr 2006 Attendance 12750 Adrenaline Rush open the show against the Samoans, but unfortunately the match soon descends into total chaos, with all four men fighting at once, causing the referee to DQ both teams. Rating B-. Phil and Mitch hype up the fact that the tag titles will be defended at the next PPV, Total Disruption, by the New Wave against the Animalz. Rating B. Hell Monkey comes out with his manager, Melanie Florence. “My man here seems to have been forgotten the last few weeks. So he would like to get in the ring sometime soon. Another man who seems to have disappeared off somewhere, is Hells Bouncer. Is he too chicken to actually get in the ring and defend his title?” Rating C+. Backstage, Cat Jemson is waiting to talk to Pablo Rodriguez, about Champagne Lover. “What was all that about last week Pablo, with you and Lover?” “Well Cat, its not really something that I want to talk about right now. I don’t like telling tales out of school, but lets just say that I know a few facts about Lover that he doesn't want anyone else to know, so hopefully tonight, when I beat Lover in that ring, he will stop being a spoilt brat and learn that you have to earn respect in this business, not have it handed to you on a silver platter.” Rating B+. Phil Vibert comes across Joey Minnesota and JD Morgan exchanging insults backstage. “Boys, if you want to fight, then go do it for the crowd in the ring later tonight!” Rating B. As they walk off in different directions, we cut to Cat Jemson, who has Shawn Gonzalez with her. “Well Bryan Holmes, I don’t know how you’ve managed it, but I’ve just been informed that I’ve got to face you again at the Total Disruption. And that Emma will be there again, despite the fact that Phil should have fired her for interfering in our last match. However, we all know that I don’t need a woman to fight my battles for me – can you ever say the same?” Rating B. Shawn then walks out to the ring, where Kurt Laramee is waiting to face him. He proves again that you don’t need backup to get the job done, as despite Art Reed attacking him on behalf of his tag team partner, Shawn picks up the win in an excellent match, with the Latino Crab. Rating B+, thanks to their good chemistry. :) Emma Chase and Bryan Holmes come out to the entrance ramp. “You’re right Shawn, you will face my main man here in 10 days time. And yes you’re right, I did get accidentally involved in your last match, but I’ve err, ‘explained’ things to Phil, and he has come round to my way of thinking, and has retained my services.” “And what services were those, I wonder?” cheekily questions Darryl Devine from the commentary booth, much to Phil's obvious discomfort. Rating B+. Cat, having finished her work for the night, returns to her dressing room, and finds another bunch of flowers outside the door, addressed to her. Rating A. Joey Minnesota faces JD Morgan again. Joey seems determined to get the truth out of JD about who hired him to attack Joey. Several times he locked in a submission hold on JD, but instead of asking him if he wanted to quit, Joey was yelling “Who was it?” at his opponent. JD refused to answer however, and eventually Joey gave up asking and just nailed him with the Empire Spiral. Rating B+. Joey kicks JD out of the ring and celebrates the win, when suddenly the lights go out for a minute. When they come back on, Joey is face down, unconscious, in the ring. “How did that happen?” asks Mitch. Rating B. Pablo Rodriguez and Champagne Lover face off next, with Lover getting in Pablo’s face and bad mouthing him in Spanish before the match. Eventually Lover goes for one too many Moonsaults, and Pablo hits the Final Judgement for the win. Rating B. Pablo goes over to the furious Lover and offers him his hand, but Lover slaps him across the face and storms off. DAVE The Weekly Impact on PPV (at Plum Park in Tri State) Thurs Week 4 Apr 2006 Attendance 9750 Earlier today, Phil Vibert is interrupted in his office by the New Jersey Devils, who demand that they get a tag title shot soon. Phil says he will think about it, but only if they beat the Samoans next week. Rating C+. Emma enters the office as the Devils leave. She walks round to Phil and caresses his shoulder before asking if he can postpone the proposed Brass Knuckles Title match between Hells Bouncer and Hell Monkey. He says that the decision has been made and can’t be changed. Emma says, ”Are you sure there is no way I can persuade you?” Rating B. Back live in the arena, Phil and Darryl Devine, who is again commentating tonight, are talking about the Animalz. “New Wave have got a totally different challenge with these two big men, as compared with Adrenaline Rush, who they have been battling with recently,” says Phil. Rating B. Two young stars battle in the ring in our opening bout. Acid and Champagne Lover show off their athleticism and all round ability, as they fight an enjoyable match, which ends with Lover hitting a new move, which Mitch describes as the Mexican Destroyer, giving him an easy pinfall victory. Rating B-. Lover grabs a mic and taunts Pablo in somewhat broken English. “Pablo – that’s how a star fights. The crowd boos. “However, I too am getting a little tired of Emma’s ‘persuasion’ and so it won’t be a singles match that they compete in, it will be a fatal four way for the title! DAVE Total Disruption PPV (at Plum Park in the Tri State) Mon Week 1 May 2006 Attendance 15000 Champagne Lover arrives in a Ferrari. He climbs out and tips the valet $500. “Wow that’s a hell of a tip – where did he get that sort of money to do that and to afford that beautiful car?” asks Mitch. Rating C+. Phoebe is the ring announcer for the next match. She announces the 4 competitors, Hells Bouncer, Hell Monkey, Darryl Devine and Acid. Rating C. Hells Bouncer is the first out to the ring with his manager Emma Chase, and he makes some comments to Phoebe as he passes her in the ring. After posing for the fans in one corner, he walks behind her to the other corner and runs his hand across her backside. She takes offence, turns round and slaps him across the face. He looks angry and tells her that was not the wisest thing she has ever done. Rating B+. There is no time for anything else to develop between them as the other three competitors come down to the ring for the Brass Knuckles Title match. They team up to take out Hells Bouncer, who has a massive size advantage over each of the other three. With him knocked out on the apron, Darryl, Monkey and Acid turn to each other and start performing all their usual high flying maneuvers. Acid hits Hell Monkey with a monstrous drop kick from the top rope, sending him through the ropes and landing on the recovering Hells Bouncer. Darryl takes advantage of there only being the two men left in the ring to hit Acid with the Devine Dream Drop, to become the NEW Brass Knuckles Champion. Bouncer and Emma are furious that he has lost the title without actually being pinned. Rating C+. A video shows the recent history between the three wrestlers in another of our matches later tonight, Pablo Rodriguez, Champagne Lover and Johnny Martin, culminating in Lover costing Johnny and Shawn Gonzalez their tag team match last week against Black Times. Rating B. But first it is the Tag Title match between the champions, the New Wave and the challengers, the Animalz. Guide and Scout show their teamwork yet again, working Wolverine over for several minutes with quick tags, but eventually Big Cat gets his turn and clears house. As the match disintegrates into an all out brawl, Guide hits Wolverine with one of the title belts, behind the referee’s back, and rolls him up for a victory. Rating B-. Phoebe is now backstage with Johnny Martin, who is on his way to the ring to face Champagne Lover and Pablo Rodriguez. “I seem to have been drawn into a private quarrel. But Lover, you went too far when you cost Shawn and I that match last week. Before then, I was prepared to let you and Pablo sort things out for yourself. But now, I’m annoyed, and I’m gonna be coming after you tonight.” Rating C+. The match between the three men starts off as near enough a handicap match, as Pablo and Johnny take turns in beating on Champagne Lover. But as in the Brass Knuckles match, when the mutual enemy was down, they turned on each other and things became chaotic. Lover returned and attacked Johnny from behind, ramming him into a ring post and busting him open. As he taunted the former Unified champion, Pablo snuck up behind him and hit a stunning sequence of risky moves on Lover. He picked Johnny up and threw him out of the ring again, before ending things with the Final Judgement on Lover. Rating B. As Pablo celebrates, Lover gets up, low blows him and starts kicking him until he rolls out of the ring in pain. Rating B-. Darryl Devine, who is now back in the commentary booth with his Brass Knuckles title belt, helps Mitch Naess to run through the Joey Minnesota / JD Morgan story, reminding the viewers that if Joey wins, then JD will have to reveal his employer, or be fired. Rating B-. Once again these two put on a show of technical expertise, which seems to go a little over the heads of some of the audience. The commentators enjoyed the match, which featured several submission attempts by both men, and also several near falls. Eventually though, the pattern of the match started to follow the same path as their previous matches, and Joey finished JD Morgan off with the Empire Spiral. Rating B. Joey grabs a microphone and tells JD that he expects a name from him next week on Impact. Or alternatively, if his employer is man enough, he will come out and face Joey himself right now, or on Thursday on Impact. Unsurprisingly no one appears to answer this challenge. Rating B. Emma and Bryan Holmes are backstage talking about Shawn Gonzalez, and their match tonight. They point out that Gonzalez was at Holmes’ mercy last time they met and that without Emma’s mistake, there would be no need for Gonzalez to take yet another beating. Rating B. We cut backstage, where Joey Minnesota walks past a group of wrestlers, who congratulate him on his win. As they all move off in different directions, a figure emerges from the shadows behind some crates, and follows Joey. Rating B. Chris Caulfield stands in front of a backstage camera and tells Eddie Peak that he has grown to respect him as a fighter over the course of the last 3 months. “However, just because I respect you doesn’t mean that I’m not going to do my utmost to destroy you tonight. And if that means finishing your career and causing you pain and suffering, then so be it. Bring your A-game Eddie – you’re going to need it… and more.” Rating B+. Phil and Mitch run through a video package of the previous history between Bryan Holmes and Shawn Gonzalez, which has resulted in them facing off yet again at this PPV. Rating B+. Bryan Holmes picks up the win tonight in a solid match, despite Shawn having the longer periods of domination. Emma behaved herself for once, contenting herself with cheering her man on, and abusing Gonzalez at every opportunity. Holmes showed that he is truly a master of all styles of wrestling by turning things round from what looked a hopeless situation at one point, to finish off Gonzalez. However he could not resist cheating to do so, using, ironically, Emma’s boot, which she had thrown to him, to nail Shawn with, and pin him for a victory. Rating B. Eric Tyler reminds the viewers that tonight’s Unified Title match is an ordinary match, as the DAVE directors decided they did not want any repeat of last month’s violent ending. “Cheating does not pay, and Nemesis cannot win without resorting to his toys, so I am in a no-lose situation,” he says. Rating B+. Eddie Peak is talking with Cat Jemson backstage. “You want me to bring my A-game Chris? Well you’re on, but don’t blame me for ending your career tonight. You see, we are once again in my favourite environment – a hardcore one. And this time, its in a cage, but not just any ordinary steel cage. This is a barbed wire steel cage, where every time I throw you into the mesh, you will get ripped to shreads by the wire. Let the carnage begin.” Rating B+. Barbed Wire Cage match: Eddie and Chris face off in the deciding 7th match in their series. If the crowds thought the previous six were hardcore, then this match topped everything. Both men were cut open in various places by the coils of barbed wire wrapped around the steel of the cage, and both took several awesome bumps from near the top of the cage as they tried to escape. Eventually Eddie hit Chris with the Peak of Perfection, but at the count of 2, he lifted his opponent’s shoulders off the mat to stop the count. He stood up, grabbed Chris’ ankles and proceeded to slingshot him face first into the barbed wire on the side of the cage, where Chris hung from the wire, unable to escape without ripping his face and body completely to shreads. Eddie ordered the referee to open the cage door, and escaped for the victory. Rating A. As Eddie is celebrating, Chris, who had been cut down from the wire by the officials, staggers over and offers him his hand as a sign of his respect. Eddie hesitates, but then shakes his bloody opponent’s hand. Rating B+. The two of them celebrate together all the way up the ramp to the back, as the crowd scream and applaud them. Rating B+. Phil Vibert enters the ring and announces the main event of the night will be the Unified Title match, between Nemesis and the champion, Eric Tyler. “As Eric mentioned, this match will not be under the usual hardcore rules. It is a normal one fall match!” Rating A. Nemesis is first out to the ring, where he grabs a microphone. “Hardcore rules, no rules, ordinary rules – who cares? However you look at it, I am the single most dominant wrestler in the world today, and it is my destiny to win the Unified Title one more time before I retire. And tonight is that night.” Rating A. Unified Title match: Nemesis and Eric Tyler stare each other down in the ring as the referee shows the crowd the title belt. When the bell rings, it is Tyler who comes out swinging, overpowering Nemesis with right hands, before using his technique to try and wear out the powerful brawler. But you can’t keep Nemesis down for long, and soon the match was back and forth, with both men just about staying within the rules as they attempted to put the other away. Both men tried for their respective finishing moves on several occasions, and Tyler repeated his arrogant move of hitting Nemesis with his own Nemesis Arrow on one occasion. However, he only got a 2 count, and this proved to spur Nemesis on even more. Tyler took a beating for a few minutes, and then Nemesis tried to hit Tyler with HIS finisher, the Tradition Lift. Eric slipped out of the move, and rolled out of the ring. The referee stopped Nemesis from following Tyler, and an argument ensued, allowing Eric grab a chair, re-enter the ring, and lay out Nemesis with the chair to retain his title through a DQ. Rating A*. Tyler immediately grabbed his belt and retreated to the back, followed by Nemesis. As Nemesis got backstage, Tyler had disappeared, so Nemesis in a rage started throwing things around and generally smashing up the backstage area. Rating A*. OVERALL RATING = A. 34915 PPV buys this month, another 5000 up on last month.

DAVE The Weekly Impact on PPV (at Plum Park in Tri State) Thurs Week 1 May 2006 Attendance 12750 As Chris Caulfield arrives for his match tonight, he is met at the arena entrance by Eddie Peak, who once again offers him his hand in respect. Rating B. (OOC: This was due to the booker having a senior moment and forgetting to actually set Eddie’s turn at the PPV, so had to re-do it tonight) Phil, Mitch and Melanie hype up the match between the New Jersey Devils and the Samoans, next. “I’m going to be a fighting champion – unlike the previous fella.” Rating C. Brass Knuckles Title Match: A back and forth match followed between Darryl Devine and Hell Monkey, with both men showing their ability in all aspects of wrestling, it ended with the Devine Dream Drop, and the champion makes a successful 1st defence of his title. Rating B-. Mitch Naess conducts an interview with a somewhat emotional Pablo Rodriguez. “I feel really bad about telling this story, but Champagne Lover has left me no choice. I was told most of this in confidence several years ago, and it has stayed that way up until now. Champagne Lover, or should I call him by his real name, Carlos Castro, is a spoilt rich kid. We all know that. And do you know why? Well it all goes back to who his parents are. His mother is Mexican, and is a diplomat. His father had a one night stand with her, twenty five years ago, while she was on a trip to Cuba. He refused to have anything to do with baby Carlos, claiming that he couldn't risk the world knowing that he had had an affair, but he sent plenty of money to Carlos and his mother for his upbringing in Mexico. Carlos’ mother doted upon him, giving him everything that he wanted, trying to make up for the lack of a father in his life. When young Carlos decided he wanted to become a wrestler, they came to me to teach him, which I did. Carlos, as you can see, is an amazing talent, with far more ability in most areas than me, and very quickly, he thought he was better than me, and also far better than all of my other pupils. Despite this arrogance, or maybe because of it, Carlos has gone on to become one of the rising stars in Mexico, and now also here in DAVE. I’ve kept his secret all this time, but when he starts attacking me and my friends, that’s when I draw the line. Attacking me has had the opposite effect that you wanted, Carlos, since until then, I wasn’t going to say a word about your past. Oh yes – and you want to know who his father is, the one who refuses to publicly acknowledge Carlos as his son? Yes that’s right – he’s the most powerful man in Cuba – his name is Fidel Castro!” Rating B. Phil and Mitch sit in stunned silence for a couple of minutes, as the crowd take in this news, then they announce that the next match is between two wrestlers who both lost at the PPV, and are looking to regain some momentum tonight. They are Chris Caulfield and JD Morgan. “Hopefully we will also find out from JD, who ordered him to attack Joey Minnesota,” says Phil. Rating B. Chris Caulfield comes to the ring to great applause, with most of his body covered in cuts and bruises, several of which have stitches in. Rating B+. JD Morgan’s entrance music plays, but he doesn’t appear. "Where is he then?" asks Mitch. Rating B. After a couple of minutes wait, Phil enters the ring and says that never fear, Chris will have a match tonight, and that his opponent will now be none other than a man who also has something to prove from Total Disruption, Nemesis! Rating A. Cat Jemson comes out to the ring during the delay, and says that although she is really flattered and in a way, pleased to be receiving these gifts, she really would like to know who is sending them. Rating A. Emma Chase comes out to the ring and starts telling the crowd that she and Bryan Holmes have proved their point that he is better than Shawn Gonzalez and that he is looking for a new opponent now. Rating B. She is interrupted by the appearance of a contrite looking Eddie Peak, who comes to the ring and tells her that he has been thinking about what he did to her a few months ago, when he hit her with a chair, and that he wants to apologise to her. Can she forgive him? Emma thinks about it for a few seconds and then says that no, she can’t forgive him, it was one of the worst moments of her life. Rating A. Not only can Emma not forgive him, but clearly neither can Bryan Holmes, who charges Eddie from behind and destroys him with, appropriately, a chair, while Emma cheers him on. Rating A. Phil announces that tonight we will see a rematch from last week on Impact between Black Times and Johnny Martin and Shawn Gonzalez, but this time it will be a No 1 Contenders match for the Tag Team titles held by Scout and Guide. Rating A. Black Times face off with the team of Johnny Martin and Shawn Gonzalez, who told the crowd that they were now known as Good Times, clearly taking the mickey out of their opponents' name, much to the disapproval of Kurt and Art. The match was an excellent bout, with neither team being able to dominate the other for most of it. The referee allowed a lot of leeway with regard to tagging in and out, letting all four men go at it at times, but even he couldn’t ignore the intervention of the New Wave who jumped out of the crowd…… and very surprisingly attacked Black Times! The referee announced Black Times as the winners by DQ as New Wave retreated up the ramp grinning. “Why did they attack Art and Kurt?” wonders Mitch. Rating B+. Nemesis comes down to the ring for his re-arranged match with Chris Caulfield and before his opponent can enter, he grabs a microphone and demands that Phil arrange a Unified Title match next week on Impact for him against Eric Tyler. “I was robbed on Monday – so you better sort this out right now!” Phil doesn’t hesitate, and agrees to next week’s main event. Rating A. Chris Caulfield comes down to the ring looking a little worried, and that proves to be justified, as Nemesis takes out his frustration on the already injured Caulfield, running through him rather quickly, obviously as a warning to Eric Tyler next week. Rating B (which I knew was likely since I know these two don’t click) OVERALL RATING = C+. Apparently I had too many non-wrestling segments today. :( 4850 PPV buys this week.
