1. Yeah, so much for the slap on the wrist. Let's see what the courts say. @Celuwyn: Boring? No charisma? What are you talking about? Jon Jones made him look boring in their fight, but look at the performance against Hendo and Cummins alone. DC is arguably the second-best fighter in the Light Heavyweight division, so it makes perfect sense to give him a shot at the vacant title now. I'm not a big fan of fighters coming off a loss getting a title shot, but it was against the champion, so I guess it's fine. The best choice in my opinion would have been to make the winner of Cormier/Bader face Rumble. UFC 187 is already stacked and has another title fight, so it wouldn't have been a huge loss to take the fight completely off the card.
 2. So, the Jon Jones vs. Rumble Johnson is most likely off: http://www.mmafighting.com/2015/4/27/8505799/warrant-issued-for-jon-jones-arrest-jones-to-turn-himself-in
 3. That cut on Gonzaga's face looked like Cro Cop hit him with an axe. Nasty! And I need to take back my statement I made on the previous page. Cro Cop didn't look over-the-hill at all. More like on top of the hill and not willing to climb down anytime soon.
 4. I don't care too much about an over-the-hill Crocop. I'm interested in the fight, but not enough that I'd have bought a ticket for the Krakow event. As for a strawweight title fight: I had hoped they would put it on the Berlin card: Joanna vs. Calderwood or Gadelha would have made sense and it would have been perfect timing, too. Both Gadelha and Calderwood fight in April and should win their respective fights if everything goes as expected. Then a quick turnaround for one of them to fight in June and there we go. But on the other hand, I'm not sure if the event would sell that well with a female main event, even if it's for the title. Germans like heavy guys throwing bombs at each other. Sorry, that's bullshit. Rousey will actually fight Seth Rollins for the WWE Championship at Summerslam.
 5. Woohoo! Gustafsson vs. Teixeira here in Berlin. That's a great fight and probably one of the biggest fights you could have made for a Fight Pass card in Germany. Considering how the card for the Poland event looks like, I had deep fears for Berlin. Hopefully they add a couple more interesting fights, but seeing Gus fight already sells it for me.
 6. Am I the only one who thinks that the Silva/Diaz fight sucked? The fight was only carried by Silva's "overness" and Diaz' ridiculous antics that got the Brazilian portion of the crowd riled up. Two great strikers (at least before their long lay-offs) squared off, but still neither one of them landed any significant strikes that threatened to finish the bout. I'm extremely disappointed. Had this been a fight on the undercard between two much less popular fighters, they would have booed the crap out of them. In my opinion, this was the worst ppv main event in the last two years (that's how long I follow the sport).
 7. Well, maybe. The UFC' lawyers are certainly going to be rubbing their hands at the moment.
 8. Hire Hugh de Aske and you've got the perfect pirate tag team.
 9. Exactly, Zuffa doesn't own them. How much influence they have on the Invicta shows remains to be seen and I wouldn't be surprised if they had some kind of influence as part of the Fight Pass deal. Obviously, the UFC needs some women for their bantamweight and strawweight division, so it makes perfect sense for both companies. Again, they haven't bought Invicta. And remember: If Zuffa would want to buy Invicta, Shannon Knapp would still have to agree. So, just saying "the UFC is buying everything" is only half of the story.
 10.
Could anybody remove the mask from the default Masked Patriot picture?

Since I have no clue at all about rendering I don't know if my request is even possible. If not, I'll just choose one of the free pictures in the database.

 13. I recently came across this Youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCeCVHji1H_GbFu9FxI-_yQg. So hilarious! I love his Rampage and GSP impressions.

 15. I mean, it's not that I didn't complain, either and I still don't get why the UFC makes us pay for the free-tv Fox cards (assuming they're not included in the UFC Fight pass for us non-americans). But I don't think anybody should be complaining about paying for the pay-per-view events, especially considering that US citizens have to pay a lot more than 18 €. Sure, it would've been nice to still be able to watch them for free and as often as we want, but I think it was clear that this wouldn't have lasted forever.
 16.
So, UFC Fight Pass is now available here. Haven't looked at it yet because the only payment option right now is via credit card, which I don't have (will have to ask a friend if they don't offer PayPal). 7.99 € a month after a 7 day free trial, which is pretty much the 9.99 $ you U.S. folks have to pay.

The PPV's will be 15.99 € and 17.99 € (HD) in the future, so now more free events for us. A lot of people are extremely angry at that, but I think these are very fair prices.

The way it reads there, all events will be affected by that decision. So, I'm not confident that the ppv's will remain free for long.

 19. As it appears, they've changed their mind during the last week. Last Night's Rockhold vs Philippou and probably all the other Fight Nights are 8.99 $ for us now, haven't figured what they want us to charge for the PPV's but I don't think they'll be the same price as the Fight Nights.
 20.

From what I'm told, no, there won't be a free trial. The trail is basically a live beta test. The expected uptake in places like the UK/EU is going to be so small, they're seeing it as a case of "Those who want it will buy it, those who don't, wont" rather than a revenue-generating product for NA fans.

If you look at the schedule, there's only one FP exclusive event before March 1st anyway (last weekend's), so it's not like they're asking people to pay £5 individually for 3-4 cards.

Also, the US office apparently wasn't aware that UK/EU fans were being charged for last weekend's event until the last minute.

I've heard conflicting things about what's going to happen with Germany with regards to Fight Pass and FP exclusive cards. It seems strange to keep the free UFC.tv service, then charge you for FP.

They're also looking at 2015 now for a Berlin event.

A 2015 event in Germany would be great, although I'm not sure if I'd be able to make it there.

Yeah, there are not many Fight Pass exclusive events anyway and it's not like I wouldn't be able to find other sources to watch these fights, so it's not the end of the world.

But as you mentioned: It's strange to have the big PPV's and the regular Fight Nights for free here in Germany (UFC TV support confirmed to me that they'll remain free), while we are charged 9 dollars for the FP exclusives.

 21.
I don't get their price policy to be honest. U.S., Canadian, New Zealand and Australian citizens can watch all the international fights for free throughout January and February and for 10 $ afterwards while the rest of the world has to pay 7 $ for a single event? That's just a rip-off. They even now want us to pay 0.99 $ for the post fight pressers while you can watch them for free on several youtube channels - that's just ridiculous.

Here in Germany, you are able to watch all the other events (even the ppv's) for free on ufc.tv, so I probably shouldn't be complaining. But the prices for the International Fight Night events are unreasonably high in comparison to those who can access the UFC Fight Pass.

By the way, I think the Fight Pass is a great thing and 9.99 $ a month is more than reasonable for that platform. If it becomes available in my area I'm seriously considering subscribing. Does anyone know if there'll be a free trial after March 1?

 22. Yeah, just go for it! As already mentioned, judging by this paragraph, your English is actually pretty good and I doubt you would completely mess up a diary as far as language is concerned. By the way: I'm also from Germany and currently preparing for a diary. So, you are not alone.
