I don't think that's a bug. I'm also pretty sure that whether a worker complains is heavily dependent on their personality.</p>

Or maybe tainted finish, but I'm not sure because it's usually about the winner doing something illegal.</p>

I get the road agent notes that they have a gimmick that is getting stale but it doesn't show up in my office as something to be concerned about. Is it better to freshen it up at the first sign to stop it from dropping too fast or waiting until it's a big problem?</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I'm not sure I've fully understood how gimmicks work in 2016, so take my advice for what its worth.</p><p> When a character becomes stale, the worker in question will get a penalty everytime he appears, so you should consider either turning the worker, tweaking his gimmick or giving him a completely new gimmick.</p><p> The problem with tweaking/changing his gimmick is that it may backfire and that you might end up with a worse gimmick rating and/or with worse upper and lower limits for that gimmick. </p><p> Also: As I understand it, having a stale character doesn't necessarily mean that the gimmick's lifespan has expired, so even though a worker's character is getting stale, his gimmick might still be able to improve (but don't quote me on that).</p><p> I'd turn the worker if possible and only consider tweaking/changing his gimmick if its rating isn't higher than "above average" as you might end up ruining the worker's "very good", "great" or "legendary" rated gimmick</p><p> Someone please correct me if I'm mistaken on anything.</p>
  6. Does the protect road agent note penalize the match rating? I know it used to be common sense in TEW2013 that putting the protect note drags down the match rating, but reading the description on the booking screen, there's no mention of that kind of penalty.
  7. The penalty only comes into effect if the match is seen more than three times in a particular region. So, if you have two matches in the Tri-State region, and then the next two in the Great Lakes you won't get any penalties unless the first two matches were broadcast in Great Lakes or unless the last two matches were broadcast in Tri-State. I hope, I'm being clear enough. And remember: As long as the matches are getting better each time, you don't have to worry at all about repetitive booking penalties.
  8. Put them in an "alternate" match where the winner gets to be a potential replacement for an injured worker (be it kayfabe or real).

He's only pulling C+ in-ring performances and is already at B popularity, so he's pretty bad. Oh well.</p>
  10. What happens if you lose a bidding war for a wrestler involved in an owner goal?
  11. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="thadian" data-cite="thadian" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41194" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I read you have to have 80 psych to be able to call in-ring...<p> beneath 70 then script...</p><p> </p><p> and 68, I read, is the "magic number" that if everyone has 68 Psychology they will be able to work a decent match without it being scripted.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Not sure where you got these numbers from, but from my experience this isn't how it works.</p><p> I haven't looked into it very much in TEW2016, but in TEW2013, there used to be a magic number of 61 (or was it 62?). For every wrestler below that number, you'd get the road agent pop-up that they're not able to call it in the ring yet. So anyone below 61 psychology should not call a match in the ring period.</p><p> </p><p> And I believe whether you should call a match in the ring depends on the psychology <strong>in relation to the match rating</strong>. So, if you expect a match to rate around 80 and both fighters have more than 80 psychology you can/should call it in the ring. If they're below that you might want to script the match. Although I think longer matches tend to get penalized for scripting. So that's another thing to consider.</p><p> </p><p> I'm not sure if that's 100 % accurate or if anything has changed for TEW2016, but that's my approach whether to call a match in the ring.</p>

Still weird that it would get the crowd hotter despite the terrible match rating. </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Gungner" data-cite="Gungner" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41194" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>If you have a match between two (or more) people in a storyline together (all in major roles) take place on the pre-show, that won't advance the storyline, right?</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> No, dark segments don't advance storylines in 2016.</p>
  13. So, I booked this match as a DQ finish, which my fans don't like, and with the Keep Strong note for Omar Brown. I knew this was going to bomb, but for storyline reasons and in order to calm the crowd, I booked it the way I did. For some reason, the game thinks it was a "superb" match and it got the crowd hotter. This was by far the worst segment on the card and NOTBPW's popularity is at a B across Canada. The two matches before scored a B and a B-. Does anyone what's up with that? Why would a D+ rated segment get the crowd hot? I thought booking intentionally bad matches would make the crowd come back down. http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m27/Johannes_04/WatsonBrown.jpg?t=1488978854
  14. No. What kind of chemistry? For tag teams and announcing combos, their experience will eventually offset the negative chemistry. For opponents and managers, there's nothing you can do as far as I know.

But the best way is to shortlist the workers you're interested in. When their contracts are up, you'll get an e-mail.</p>

I manually went through all the list of workers, and took some notes on who I could bring in. Then, did it again this time using the filter, to make sure I didn't miss any valuable workers. Which brings me to my question...</p><p> </p><p> When I went through the list manually, I added the name of Andrew Everett and Thomas Latimer (Bram) to my list, as both of them had a 'strong' in-ring mention. However, when using the filter, looking for good or even decent 'in-ring worker', neither of them would show up.</p><p> </p><p> Why is that ? Am I missing something ?</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> That has to do with the fog of war feature. Even though they are rated as "strong" for their in-ring skills, they won't show up in your search because your scouts err on the side of caution when evaluating workers. That's why some workers who might meet your criteria will not show up in your search. </p><p> There's a question mark button in the filter window that explains your issue.</p><p> </p><p> I've got another question: If a worker has "Special Attraction" as their intended role in their contract, they will not complain if their appearances are rare. But will they also complain if I use them too often?</p>
  19. Thanks, Adam. There is no Word document like there used to be in previous versions of the game. However, there's the new "player's handbook" on your office screen (the button on the far right). It's really helpful and goes really in depth on certain topics.

Let me give an example. When it says "Steve DeColt had an in-ring performance of A*" does this A* rating include his actual in-ring skills adjusted by his popularity or is it only his pure in-ring abilities that go into this A* rating?</p><p> I hope I'm making sense here. Does anyone know? Adam maybe?</p>
  21. In the road agent report, where it says "Wrestler X had an in-ring performance of...", does this purely refer to their in-ring skills or does it also take into account their popularity and how both are weighted in your company's product? Or asked differently: Will the "Wrestler X had an in-ring performance of..." part always be the same, regardless of product and popularity? Edit: Oh, before I forget: I know that certain products favour or disfavour certain styles or in-ring skills. But apart of from that, does the weighting of performance and popularity have an effect on that part of the road agent report?
  22. I could use a name for the heel team of John Maverick and Lord James King in the default database. Both are running their default gimmicks, Hired Gun and Rich Snob respectively.

  25. <p>Are there no longer penalties for burning out the crowd? I pulled up my TCW save game last night and noticed that I can book killer segment after killer segment without any sign of a burnt out crowd. The dirt sheet didn't mention anything, either. I have crowd management turned on, so that's not it.</p><p> Has this penalty been removed?</p>
