If you've got two main eventers facing each other, wouldn't the open match note be unnecessary (except for the potential minimal boost to the match rating) because they are already at the same level?

I'm not saying it is unnecessary, I'm genuinely curious.

And if so, is limiting the overness gains and losses worth the slightly better match rating? Me personally, I can't remember noticing a difference in match ratings between an open match and a match without that note.

I tend to use open matches when I want to push the less popular worker in the match and/or want to depush the more popular worker even though he may be winning because the discrepancy in popularity is too big.

 6. Yep, as soon as they make an apperance on one of your shows, they become available in your area. If my company has a women's division can I run mixed tag matches without issue?
 7.
Playing NOTBPW in the default database.

Ernest Youngman had a try-out match in the pre-show of a Championship Wrestling episode and tore his meniscus, putting him out for a year. Disappointing for him, but also for me because I wanted him badly and would have hired him on the spot after his really good performance in that match.

Fast forward one year later, I sign him just over a month before he has recovered in the hopes that he can eventually replace Shooter Sean Deeley, who decided to leave for USPW where he's now jobbing to untalented giants.

Looking at my medical screen, I see Youngman can be treated surgically with a very low risk. I decide to do the surgery, what could go wrong , right?

Well, the surgeon messed up and now he's out for another 13 months. Hopefully this doesn't mean the end of his in-ring career.

He's available for angles, so I wonder if I should give him some kind of out-of-ring role in the meantime, but haven't thought that through yet.

I'm legitimately pissed, I love this game!

 10. Is a wrestler more likely to extend the contract with me if he's my figurehead?
 11. If a worker didn't have a non-compete clause in their contract, has anyone ever seen a worker hand in their notice for any other reason than being unhappy? For example, will they hand in their notice if they think they have outgrown your company or because they just want to work in a bigger promotion?
 12. When you loan a worker, his loan agreeement has a set number of appearances as well as an expiration date. For one appearance it's two months. Whichever point comes first is when the worker will leave your promotion.

Maybe this works for you, as well?

 15. There's no equivalent to match aims for angles, so no, there's no angle that calms the crowd down per se. But you could purposely book an angle that scores low enough that it will bring the crowd's mood down. Rate the workers involved on something they're not good at, make sure it's a major angle and have the angle at least be 5 minutes, otherwise it won't impact crowd management. As for the Technical Masterclass: I'm no expert on match aims, but the way I understand it, having a Technical Masterclass as the main event is not a good idea at all as it keeps the crowd engaged, but not overly rowdy (as stated in-game). But for a main event, you want the crowd to be really hot and at their peak. I have rarely used the Technical Masterclass aim, but when I do, I put it right before the main event and after a cool-down segment so that the crowd isn't ice-cold for the main event, but not burnt out, either. I'm not sure if it's the right approach, but I feel it works best for me.
 16. That depends on you. You can choose to make it your child company or you can completely close it. If you choose the latter you can still pick which items you want to adopt (contracts, belts, events etc.). Just click the attempt takeover button for the company and all options are shown and explained to you.

None higher, and probably quite a lot fewer rated 82, 81 or 80, making me think I've hit a ceiling somehow.

There are caps on the in-ring part of a match, but it's match length that plays a factor. For example, a match below 20 minutes can never score higher than 89, a match below 15 minutes can never score higher than 77 etc. It's stated in the player's handbook.

Another thing that might lead to your main events capping at 83 could be the lack of skill from your announcers and colour commentators. It seems there are really stiff penalties for the broadcasters if their skills are way below the segment rating. So, that might be the issue.

I'm trying to remember the new names for the artists formerly known as the Chaos Demons.

Help a sister out?

MHero helped you already.
