1. That entry about sexuality change is a questionable one. Sexuality doesn't change, but then again one can be homosexual and still date/marry the opposite sex to cover up their homosexuality. Or the other way around: one has been dating the opposite sex, but finally decides to come out as being homosexual. And as far as I know, that's the only thing that sexuality does in the game: decide which gender a worker will date/marry/have kids with. So, in that sense: yes, sexuality should perhaps be changeable. If Adam wanted to go really complex, he could add gender identity (in distinction to biological sex) and everything that goes with it, but that's probably not feasible. What I'd like to know is how often these "sexuality changes" will happen in the game.
 2. That sounds perfect, thanks for replying. I agree with what "shawn michaels" said: some of the scepticism I had about the new system has been cleared thanks to Adam Ryland's clarification. After re-reading the entry and Ryland's posts in this thread, I'm actually confident now that the new product system will be better and I think it might even be "deeper" than some people think right now.

Outside-the-box products are where they don't make any sense, like having a Pure - Mainstream - Daredevil company.

Wouldn't that be what the VWA is, though?

One or more for each "name" real world company and then a sizeable selection of general types. I don't know how many that will end up as we haven't opened the suggestion thread yet.

Does this mean that the player will know the corresponding real world company (if there is one) for each product? As a Cornellverse player I'd really love that because sometimes I'm just looking to play a company that comes closest to a specific real world company and I'm not always sure which one to pick. So, it would be nice to have a description of the product alongside with a real-world example.

Also, another question if I may: Does the player still have to book according to match/angle ratios? And if so, are these specifically linked to the product or could I still run (in theory) 50 % matches for a "wrestling as a sport" promotion or 100 % matches for a soap-opera promotion?

 4. One of his signature moves is a pretty bad-ass spinning tombstone, though. But I think the Kawashima Driver is supposed to be a kneeling piledriver, no spinning and no tombstone. I'd still agree that Kawashima is the Okada equivalent. How about Yoshimi Mushashibo vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi?
 5. I'm not over the moon either about the new "simplified" product system, but I think we'll have to see how it actually works in order to tell if it's good or bad. I'm really hoping for a wide variety of pre-set products. I'm predicting now that this'll mean the end for Cornellverse promotions like VWA, ZEN or maybe even QAW, as their products seem to fall in the category of what Adam Ryland describes as "crazy thinking-outside-the-box" products. I would have actually liked to see a more in-depth product set up with dynamic products that evolve according to the player's booking.
 6. The in-game "handbook" clearly states that styles have no effect on match ratings. It's under workers --> styles.
 7.
So, as we know announcers have no impact on segment ratings if the show isn't brodcast.

But how about if I have a tour highlights deal? The shows themselves aren't being broadcast, but parts of them are shown at a later date. So I'm not sure if announcers for these shows have an impact on how the segments are rated. Does anybody know?

Edit: Nevermind. I just made a quick test. Announcers do in fact have an impact on touring shows if a highlights deal is attached to them.

Look at pop in Teirs. Lets say its 1-5. you are a Tier 1 company so why would a free agent with lets say 70+ pop ever wanna work for you? But a Tier 3 guy would probably be willing. Its all about the pop of your company vs the pop of the worker you want.

Yes.

I'm just wondering whether that hard block that's currently in the game will be removed. Because a) I think for the right price you should at least have a chance of signing anyone, even as a small company and b) with this new game mechanic that was announced yesterday, it would make sense to have it removed.

 9. The question I have after today's announcement is whether the "Wrestler X doesn't want to negotiate with you because he thinks your company is too small for him" will still be a thing in 2020. Because I feel like this would be a big hindrance to making use of today's feature.
 10.

I was kinda just hoping I could drag and drop stables into match widows and angles in one big clump...

Yeah, I was wondering too if we will be able to filter by stables on the match-making screen the same way we can filter for singles and teams. And adding this to the angle screen would be really helpful, too.

 11. Wow, just wow. Is this still a game or already reality? I've got a feeling TEW 2020 will be nothing like 2016 and will take a lot of getting used to. I love it.
 12. Yeah, the Elite Series is my G1-style tournament, although the 2016 edition was a mini-version of that with two blocks of four wrestlers. So, that's out of the question for an anniversary special. Thinking about doing maybe an elimination tournament, or a big legends match where I bring back some retired wrestlers who can still go, like Miwa, Inukai or Tatsuko. Not sure how feasible that is, though. I've still got some time left to find a brilliant idea, so still looking for more suggestions.
 13. So, given that PGHW turns 20 in July 2016, I was wondering if you guys do anything special in July for the anniversary, maybe a special anniversary show or some other kind of celebration?
 14. No offence, but people really need to re-read Adam's post, like DerekB said. Also: I feel I need to apologize a bit. Re-reading my initial post on this matter, I might have come off as a bit rude. Yes, of course, and I didn't say otherwise. From what we know now, nothing is stopping from trying to push anyone you want to be THE guy in your company (with the emphasis on trying). It may or may not work for various reasons, though. Look at how auto-pushes work currently: Unless you have just started a new save game, auto-pushes are a result of your booking. If you book someone strongly and put him over more popular wrestlers, they'll go up the ladder. The same is true if you book someone weak. It hasn't been mentioned that this is not how it works anymore. In fact, it has been mentioned that momentum (i.e. wins and losses) will play a key part in crowd perception, so it may even be easier to get someone over in the game (maybe not, though, we don't know enough about the feature yet). One weakness of the auto-push system is that wrestlers get pushed in relation to the rest of your roster. So, if you have a 25-person roster, the 5 most popular guys will be your main eventers, no more no less. So if someone moves up from upper midcard to main event, someone else has to move down, even if they didn't do anything. It is my understanding that this will change under the new system. I don't know. Isn't the goal of a wrestling promoter to give the fans what they want in order to make the most money? If someone is over or getting over, even though it wasn't your intention, you should just run with it, shouldn't you? Yes, there have been situations where this wasn't the case, but I think the game already replicates this very well: Owner goals, destiny rolls, nepotism etc. is already part of the game and I'm sure there'll be even more in the new game and I'm sure they'll be even more realistic. I assume by that he means that there won't be anymore assigning someone a push on the roster screen, not that the game doesn't give you any option of sorting your roster anymore, which wouldn't make any sense.
 15.
Love today's journal entry. I have a feeling this game will be so much different from TEW 2016 and may need some getting used to, but I don't mind it if it's for the better.

I can already see complains though from people who don't like change, but I hope the development team don't let themselves be swayed by this.

From the little info we have, it seem like the crowd is running the show. Which is not a bad thing but it’s also one half of a puzzle. As we all know from watching WWE, being over with the crowd doesn’t necessarily mean you are main eventing.

Yes, it seems like the crowd is running the show because it's realistic. Of course the fans decide who is over (by definition) and that's how it's been in the previous games, too.

I'm not watching WWE but if the WWE isn't putting their most over wrestlers in their main events, they're just being stupid. The most over guys belong in the main event because they are the guys people come to see or tune in to watch.

The game should simulate how all pro wrestling works, and not just centre around how WWE is operating.

I always leave the Modern Japan Movement as 5SSW, since no other Japanese promotion uses women, and I leave the COTT as OLLIE once I start preparing to battle SOTBPW. Maybe it shouldn't happen all the time, but leaving an alliance is not a friendly move.

 20.
Not sure if it makes sense to have acting as a skill that is needed to be a good road agent for angles. In a way it's like a director for a movie or a theater piece. The director doesn't have to be a good actor, he needs to be able to envision how the scene plays out, which in a way is what the psychology stat in the game does, doesn't it?

I don't think a road agent for angles needs to have different skills then a road agent for matches except for maybe the business skill?

I hope we can bury someone in angles like we do in matches and stuff like that, getting the ability to set similar, and hopefully new goals. Curious to see what the dos agent addition brings to the table.

I mean, you can already put "major defeat" on a guy you want to bury. I'm not sure how effective this is compared to the burial note in matches, though - I don't think I've ever tried to bury someone in the game.

Curious to see what type of road agent notes there will be for angles and if we will see angle aims.

Yes, if crowd management is still a thing in 2020, I think we really need angle aims or some other way to manipulate the crowd via angles, especially in angle-heavy promotions.

 21. Oh, right. I had already forgotten about the changes in show scheduling.
 22. Yes, that all makes sense, but they could have easily done that months ago. The fact they did that right after falling to cult size seems a bit weird and "buggy" to me. I still can't think of a logical explanation why they would only start signing people after dropping to cult.
 23.
I actually cut the promos I book and look at my watch to see how long they take.

This keeps me from just making every angle 6 minutes+ to get the best rating and skill increase out of them.

 24. Regarding the new contract system: It seems like touring contracts will no longer exist, which I find interesting. But I guess with the new system comes more flexibility, too, which might make touring contracts redundant?
