  1. Next month's PPV is the Cornell Cup. It's a 16-team tournament with the QFs and beyond happening at the PPV. So we'll have 2 matches each on the next 4 21CW Wrestling shows. Heel teams entering: Leigh Burton and War Machine Big Sexy Fabulous [Apollo Prince + Brickhouse Balder] Hellbound [Jonathan Faust + Bedlam] The Business [Eddy Cornell + Viktor] The Business II [Doomsday + BW Eddie] The Midnight stars [Gravedigger + Blackheart] Beast Bantom + JB Cash tbc Face teams entering: Absolutely Flawless [Kelly + Lance Martin] Crouching Storm, Hidden Sifu The Underdogs [Joe + Michael X] Tommy Cornell + Roly Muckletruck School of Pitbull [Evan and Beau] Adam Matravers + Buff Martinez Sebastian Koller + Wade Orson Wildman Andrew Lee + Daniel Black Francis Hopefully I can get a decent ME-level match on at least 3 of the next 4 shows out of that. I like the odd-partner nature of some of the teams. It's a good opportunity for the same big stars not to be winning absolutely everything. It's tough to pin Tommy, but Roly is much more doable. Who do you think is going to win the tournament? Who should be the final heel team? I'm leaning The Demolishers Compton + Langton. Compton is Eddy Cornell's protege, so although he sucks he has likely got a good future.
  2. Feuds and storylines: Tommy Cornell sent Beast Bantom packing. But got attacked by Leigh Burton. Leigh and War Machine both think an ageing Tommy is a prime target. The champ will have his hands full against those two. Eddy Cornell is getting more desperate and wants a big-name recruit. He's going after Adam Matravers. The Business stable is in a bad way [Doomsday about to leave the company] and is going to fracture even more. Bedlam has a new pair of challengers for his UK title: The Underdogs! Joe and Michael are really good. But need a good story to get involved with. Crouching Storm, Hidden Sifu [such a bad name] defend their tag titles against Men of Steel... and Absolutely Flawless AbFlaw have been tearing it up. they could get a good match out of a pair of toilet seats. CSHS are similar. Faust and Hellbound continue to try to get Sebastian K in their stable. Something to do with his rockstar/debauched/European way of life. They'll try it on with Wade too. I need to get Bedlam out of this stable. Or drop his UK title. Not decided which yet. But Faust vs Seb vs Wade is money. And Blackheart is one of my most talented young workers. Roly Muckletruck loves being the biggest and strongest. But he's a dour, grim Scot. At least compared to Apollo Prince and Brickhouse Balder Apollo and Brickhouse have brilliant chemistry. And Apollo does great angles. I think there's fun to be had here. I might turn Roly at some point. This is sort of a way to test if any of these guys can really take off a bit. Brickhouse's horrible stamina probably rules out a really top in-ring career. The School of Pitbull learn about going after a big Beast [Bantom]. Pitbull is acting the grizzled the teacher to Evan, Beau and Skip. He'll teach them how to hunt and trap a monster. Or at least try. I want to set up a gauntlet match here. A few big names with no current storyline: J-B Cash Buff Martinez Daniel Black Francis Luke Cool, Rolling Johnny Stones, Phil Cooper and Harry Wilson are all about to leave the company
  3. I just ran the Head To Head PPV in March. For me that's an all 1v1 event and it blew off a few feuds. Main event: Tommy Cornell (C) defeated Beat Bantom for the World title This was a month-long mini-feud after Tommy vs Adam vs Eddy finished up. Beast didn't do great in it really. But this match hit an 82 which was a pleasant surprise and got a bit of a rub. That'll do. Adam Matravers defeated Antithesis [Harry Wilson]. There was major interference here with Dark Angel getting involved. This storyline was basically Adam thinking he was being haunted and unsure if it was Antithesis playing silly buggers, or something else. Again a bit of a throwaway feud. but fun. Harry is on his way out of the company in a week or two. Just a 63 grade. Ugh. Buff vs J-B Hot Stuff recently split with Buff turning face. They've been feuding obviously. Kathleen Lee [who stuck with J-B] was a special guest ref here. Because. Buff won the match, but Kathleen flipped that into a DQ in a Dusty finish. Annoyingly the match didn't grade that well [60], because Buff and J-B have terrible chemistry as opponents. Which is very annoying. Edward Cornell defeated Wade Orson. Eddie has just started trying to recruit people to his Business banner as they've been having a tough go of it. Yuri got chased out of the company. BW and Doomsday have achieve nothing and messed up some interference. Viktor is unhappy with it all. The match was a 77 grade, so didn't make too much sense here really. Not the last time these two will fight each other. Mark Adonis defeated Ricky Storm [by DQ] This was a 70 grade. Nice. The Men of Steel have lost their tag belts to CSHS and this was part of that. Ricky got so annoyed by the interference and wheedling he snapped and got DQed. The feud continues... Sebastian Koller and Jonathan Faust went to a double count-out 73 grade. Faust has been trying to recruit Koller to his Hellbound stable [not the similarity with Eddie C and Wade]. Faust, Gravedigger, Blackheart and Bedlam had been trying to do black magic / voodoo on Koller. The match saw a ton of interference and devolved into a brawl. Not bad at all. Show grade was an 80. Im happy with that, but feel I could have done better if I'd placed matches better. The gap between Adam and some of the UM talent [Ricky, Wade, Seb] is smaller than it was.
  4. Having been pulled back into TEW and inspired by @The Lloyd I fired up my last 21CW game. I've booked a month or so and had a blast doing it. But it feels like journalling it helps with immersions. So I thought I'd throw some notes down. This is very much my diary, rather than a dynasty.
  5. I've spent most of the day going through these and downloading pics. Great work everyone! Amazing stuff in here Thanks so much
  6. Loved the show. Out of interest, how come you had Wade/Buff as the ME with Adam/Faust/Edward so far down the card?
  7. I fired TEW up again last night for the first time in ages. I had a load of fun running a first show in a new 21CW save, but I was reminded how HARD it is. Just me being rusty I think. A few storylines I've got going on: Tommy [C] vs Beast Bantom A face Tommy just came out of a feud with Edward. I want him to have a series of mini-feuds with UM ranked heels to boost them up while delivering great main event grades. Adam Matravers, Antithesis and the ghost of Dark Angel. Yeah. Dark Angel is haunting those two. No idea how I'll blow it off. Should be fun though. Antithesis is on his last month of contract. This is a brief holding pattern for Adam ahead of his new feud House of Business vs Wade Eddie needs a match at H2H. With him coming off losing his title [to his cousin] Wade smells blood and wats a shot at a Cornell. Obvs Eddie will cheat to avoid a loss. Who is the strongest? Roly M, Gorilla Lee and Ruin in weekly strong-man contests hosted by Jeff Nova. This will morph into some fun megaweight matches House of Pitbull Pitbull is training up Evan, Beau and Darin. Some heels will take exception. Not sure who yet. Those 3 just sorely needed something to do but job. Hellbound vs Seb K. Faust wanted to recruit Seb Koller. He refused. So they want to take him down. Basically Faust is there to boost Mid / Upper Mid Faces.
  8. Awww thanks. That was a long time ago. I was tidying some stuff up this weekend and found one of my old notebooks. Then I had a day-job meeting with the WWE today. Funny where life takes you. Thought I'd pop by and see what's up. Might even fire up the ol' game... Anyway: ‘Rough Justice’ Tommy Cornell [vs] ‘The British Lion’ Leigh Burton No point taking the belt of Tommy. Although I doubt there's many bigger Leigh B fans than me. [Sewer Urchin FTW] 21CW Kingdom Tag Team Title Match: The Lee FamiLee [vs] The Underdogs [vs] Crouching Storm, Hidden Sifu [vs] The Brat Pack Betting on the talented guys with a gimmick 21CW United Kingdom Title Match: ‘The Squashasaurus’ Roly Muckletruck (c) [vs] ‘The Anarchist’ Antithesis Interesting one this. I suspect a DQ win. 21CW United World Championship Match: ‘Mile High’ Adam Matravers [vs] ‘The God’ Jonathan Faust [vs] ‘All Business’ Edward Cornell (c) 2 Cornell champs doesnt make for great TV. I reckon you need a heel champ here. And Faust is just money. ‘The Rock and Roller’ Sebastian Koller [vs] J-B Cash I always found Cash hard. He's just a bit bland 21CW Kingdom National Title Match: ‘DBF’ Daniel Black Francis [vs] ‘Beautiful’ Blake Belushi w/ Loxley Robbins Feels like the Aussies need a title 21CW United Tag Team Title Match: Absolutely Flawless w/ Leo Price [vs] Men of Steel (c) Get the belts on some dudes with a bit more pop 21CW Kingdom World Heavyweight Title Match: ‘Awesome’ Wade Orson [vs] ‘The Barcelona Bull’ Buff Martinez w/ Kathleen Lee Buff had the same problem as Cash for me. Just never had any great ideas Bonus Questions: How many Titles will change hands...? (not including the Kingdom ones, as they're vacant) ______2___________ Who will turn in the Main Event...? Orson Heel, Martinez Face, or Both...? _______Orson. Setting up Tommy fending off Leigh and Wade. Nice._________ What will Apollo Prince do to Phillip Cooper at the show...? _______Glitterbomb ambush________
  9. OK. Plans are coming together after getting used to the roster. Boo is great but he shouldn't be the champ. He can't rile up a crowd. This promo needs a new star ASAP. It might be Mace Mueller... if only he had SQ. Milton Hittlespitz maybe. Shogo maybe. The barracudas are going to gold the belts for a good long time. I'll feed them people. Forever Evil might be the next guys though. Really like them as a team. For some good skills guys... their matches suck. Just nasty. I've brought Jester in. He is perfect for this company
  10. Dumfrey Pinn shattered his knee. Out for a year That's his in-ring career over then
  11. Here's some events and a new logo for anyone who is playing DIW
  12. Just jumping in to say I'm starting my first ever game with DIW. And I'm actually really impressed. There's some really good talent here. Coming straight from MAW I'm not sure that DIW are miles behind them. Looking forward to this a lot. Anyone else out there playing with them?

  14. I thought this would be a fun thing to talk about. I've sort of got my next few games planned out in my head. Having a blast with MAW at the moment - but there's other companies I'd like to play. I try to separate games by area as much as possible t avoid hiring the same people. So what are the next few games you're planning on giving a whirl? What company? Who will your Avatar be? What will your goals be? Why?
  15. I've definitely seen guys get pop really fast and want to get paid like proper pros. Good on 'em. But at that point they don't really need MAW any more so off they go. Honestly I see little need in keeping guys around for years and years [outside of a core. Architect, Blaze, Miller, Josh J, The Past Masters, The Wolfpack... those guys have a job as long as they want it]. I had Nate Demarcus and Tyler Grey win the COTT tag titles. That led to them continually working for the other COTT companies [with a few more added to the group] and they got over really fast everywhere and got really good. They're both a little miffed I wont pay them $500+ per show. I'll probably have to let them go after the next WIABA. That seems a shame but it just doesn't fit with my vision of what MAW is. I'd much rather see one of my tag teams get another match to develop than Demarcus/Grey deliver a strong grade in my #2 match of the night. They've lost the COTT belts as well as the MAW ones now so I think it'll be a sad farewell. For now at least...
  16. USPW in my game are paying Jay Chord $665k per month. He is in the 'recognisable' tier with 'cooled' momentum. He has a 4-0-5 record this year [March 2021]. 17-1-24 overall. His pop has slid from 71 across the US to 60/61 in the last 12 months. He's currently getting pasted by Julius Moor most weeks. Great investment there USPW.
  17. <p>SMW88 posted a lovely render I thought would make a good Blackheart:</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Blackheart-alt3.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/NrJ8g3M/Blackheart-alt3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Blackheart-alt.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/C1gjJSV/Blackheart-alt.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Blackheart-alt5.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/YkV4V93/Blackheart-alt5.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Blackheart-alt4.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/Z1yHDvV/Blackheart-alt4.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  18. This is a really good idea. I never got close to it. Thanks
  19. Good point - I actually brought the COTT champ in twice - but had Blaze wrestle for that and NOT the MAW title those nights. He got beat by Pablo Rodriguez in April and Mr Lucha III in December [best match of the year]. Definitely planning on doing that again
  20. I’ve just completed my first year as MAW. And it was great fun. I treated the year as a learning experience and was fairly conservative. I just wanted to figure out who my guys were and not change too much. It’s a promotion with old-skool values so I wanted to maintain long title reigns and slow builds. Current champs: MAW Title Bradley Blaze still has the belt. He held off he challenge of Cheetah boy for most of 2020 and then finally won a decisive win in a cage at Where it All Begins Again. He actually only defended the title 4 times. Two of those were multi-man matches. The other 2 against Cheetah Boy. Average match rating 42. Best: 51. Title prestige moved from 31 to 33. MAW Tag team titles Nate DeMarcus and Tyrone Grey held the belts all year long. 8 title defenses. Most rated between mid 30s. The last 3 were a 36 and 2 X 37s though. Title prestige moved from 22 to 24. MAW American title Deuce Deadline. Meh. I don’t really see much point for this title. I might start using it less. It was defended 7 times. None of them were great. Mostly Deuce against low-level guys from TCW. Prestige is at 20. It’s been bouncing from 19-20 and back all year. Rip Chord Invitational Bradley Blaze won the title for the 2nd year straight. He’ll be barred from entering in 2021 though [defending his MAW championship] and won’t get the chance to go for the threepeat. Sam Keith Classic That man again! Bradley Blaze also won the SKC in 2019 – he was partnered by MAW legend Findlay O’Farraday who returned for one night only. Their 3 matches on the night were all top 5 matches for me at that point. O’Farraday last won the tournament in 2012 [with Matthew Keith] so that was a cool moment. That win launched the title prestige from 32 up to 40. Winners from 2020 Bradley Blaze. He won the 3 biggest titles in MAW in 2020. Nice. 16 matches. 11 wins, 2 draw, 3 losses. Mid Atlantic pop up to 41. Miller Fforde / Josh Jacobs These guys had good years and grew their popularity. Neither are ever going to be top stars but they’re useful enough to keep training up young talent without being in danger of being poached. The Architect / Jonah Pilgrim Yeah. The Architect in particular delivered whenever he was asked to. He’s headed for a big 2021. Archie is probably the top guy in the company right now. Nate DeMarcus / Tyrone Gray Pop up to 30/31. They held the tag titles all year and looked good doing it. Very happy with both of these guys and they look like they could succeed in a bigger company. The Heartbreak Express Yeaaaahh, sorta... These guys have done well and grown pop from 18ish to 28ish. But they’ve never looked like breakout stars and I’m going to have to see more to give them a big push. They look like safe hands who can look good as foils for my big names when needed. The Past Masters I’ve been impressed by these guys. They’re now about as popular as the Heartbreak Express and have done well with whatever I’ve given them. They’re heading for a big 2021. The Wolfpack. They improved in stats and pop. But only won 2 matches. Their time will come and they were certainly no disappointment. Losers from 2020 Deuce Deadline. He held a belt almost all year. And just didn’t do much. He’s an OK gatekeeper for entry-level talent but didn’t grow. It’s tough to see a bright future for him. Dreadnought and Son of Sinner These guys came in but flopped. We wish them luck in future endeavours. Left the company Ade Nelson left. Ref Jay Fair went to work at TCW. Good on him. Copperhead was released. Ernest Youngman came in, looked great then went to TCW. Win. Logan Wolfsbaine came in for 6/7 months. Left for USPW. Had a tantrum about not winning the title in his goodbye match. See ya Logan. Trix Triumph left. We had nothing for him. The Masked Mauler VII came in for a bit and disappointed. He’s gone but might come back sometime. Others Fuego Fantastico and Super Diestro came in as a masked, Mexican tag team [The Jet Set]. They’ve done fine but they’re a fairly short term fix. James Diaz came in to pay his dues. This is MAW. You don’t get special treatment because of your last name. Reilly Patton and Bowden Snoop have come in as white meat Canadian jobbers. Jaylon Martins / Joey Fili / Harvey Robbinfield / Seth Whitehead have all just been fine on loan from TCW. Another 5 TCW guys came in, got beat up and got sent back. Freddie Datsun came in as an extra road agent. Miller Fforde is dating Lisa Bowen. He’s done well for himself. State of the business We’re doing well. We grew from 25 in the region to 29 which is fine progress. We’re not out to get big quick. We’re all about the talent. We made about $10k per month and we’ve got $177k in the bank now. At some point in 2021 we’ll be stepping up production values. Plans for 2021 Bradley Blaze will be defending his MAW Championship against The Architect in 2021. He’ll win the title fairly early in the year I suspect. He’s got a good chance of winning the expanded 16-man RCI. DeMarcus & Grey will be holding off a challenge from the Past Masters. Who are going to be strong in 2021 as throwback ass-kickin’ heels. Cheetah Boy will be departing early in the year. He had his time. He’s not in our future plans. Safe mid-level talent needs to show me something. The likes of The Heartbreak Express need to either show development or grades. Otherwise they’ll be moved on for fresh blood. There’s a lot of guys I’d love to work with. Grow or get out of the way and give the opportunity to someone who can.. I need something to do with Miller and Josh J. Anyone got any ideas?
  21. I'm playing with MAW for the first time ever [weird I've never got round to it in all my years of TEW] and having a BLAST. Really fun company and so easy to book after a stint of 21CW. I'm adopting a strict one-in, one-out policy. With a single, monthly show there's no point in having guys on the books I'm not using. The fact I'm also trying to use this as a long-term sim helps that as well. Anyway. Great fun.
  22. It's cool to see them moved on dude. I made the for anyone to use as they see fit. Entirely up to anyone who wants to to use them as they want to!
