1. RAW has started doing commercials with active workers. The Social Outcasts literally were selling hot dogs from Burger King. It's my new least favourite part of RAW. :p

Oh...yeah, they've been doing spots like that recently, yes. Didn't see this week's one as I missed a (clearly not important) small portion of the show. Even if I was watching i would probably take that time to do something else like checking my email :D

  2.

Sure, doesn't change the fact that she gave a great promo, which in fact teased that she was afrid Shane would take it away from her. Could have done without the "grrrr it's cause Shane has a penis, isn't it!" part of the promo, but the What chants are for stupid crowds who can't think of anything creative to do. Normally that isn't a Nashville crowd.

Although the whole night was weird, crowd wise. Might be the only crowd in WWE that is completely indifferent to New Day, because Kofi heeled on Country lol.

I don't get all the New Day love. They suck. A lot. Big E is as bland as he was before it, his mic skills haven't improved at all, and him screaming in that intro just makes me wanna shoot him. Same goes for Kofi. Great worker, 0 mic skills. Xavier is meh...Has some skills but i really can't stand him due to New Day. So i hate these guys, not in a "good, you're suppose to hate the heels" way. Just in a "turning my tv off when they're around" way.

  3. not really WWE I guess but not worthy of a whole thread. Saw an indy pmrotion in Bay City and met Kevin Nash. Had him sign my KLIQ dvd, he'd never seen it so he signed it and the disc so he could look inside! guy I went to high school with is wrestling under the name Jake Something and was trained at the big ROH school I guess. Met a wrestler named Krimson who basically is everything I'd want in a gimmick myself lol. got some pics at the event if anyone cares to see them!

Could you show them or maybe PM them to me? I would be interested in seeing the pics. Did Nash strike you as a good person? Seems like he was nice, with the DVD signing and all.

As for WM, i think they still have some time to do something about the card. It's not that bad and Shane's return made the interest grow in general. I think we can have a decent WM, but i hardly think it deserves to be dubbed "The greatest Wrestlemania ever" as WWE is trying to do. Their lack of Cena just exposes their own weaknesses. They should have really put more guys over in case he got injured. We said this would happen if he ever got a big injury.

  4. Doubt it, they have to much invested for this not to pay off with Shane running raw in the short term. They went full worked shoot, and acknowledge the product is flagging. If they bring the owner's son back to be the voice of investors and fans, only to have him get squashed by Taker at Mania, they will look like fools.

I also disagree that Shane looks like a weasel if he gets someone to fight taker for him, he looks like a McMahon. They have always been presented, even as faces, as being "good" when they outsmart someone, not beat them up in a fair fight. The Crowd would pop for Shane outsmarting Vince and having a long term plan.

I do agree it isn't the end of the authority though. Seemed pretty clear to me with the phrasing (I want control of Raw) that Steph will get smackdown, and we will be treated to a new quasi brand split, with Sibling v. sibling.

Now that, I agree, will likely not be long term (maybe like 6 months). But I really doubt Shane is back, with this buildup, to lose at Mania.

It's WWE. Yes, Shane will be back and lose at Mania. As someone said above, i see this as him giving a hand to his father in an injury plagued WM. No one in their right mind would bring him to lose, but then again, no one in their right mind would bring him to fight Undertaker. It's WWE, their not known for their good decisions.

I highly doubt there is any brand split going to happen. When Shane said he wanted control of Raw, Vince responded that for that to happen it would need to include control of the whole company, so don't get your hopes up for a brand split of some sort. It wouldn't even work with their thin roster.

This is a very delicate situation. On one hand, people were excited about Shane's return. On the other, him beating Taker at WM is highly unlikely. So I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the authority to be done with. Plus, Shane is still the vice-chairman of You On Demand, and is still the guy who got passed on succeeding his dad by his younger sister, i doubt he's in for the long run.

  5. I don't think Reigns is being boed, other than by a few smarks. Maybe those who hate him would like to post here and be mad at that main event, but it was expected. WWE has been building to it for a long time. Granted, they could have done a much better work at building it, and the whole tripe threat wasn't really the best way to go, IMO, especially with Ambrose and Lesnar, but the fact that Reigns isn't having the booking he should does not mean he is hated.

Maybe he will be in the future, especially if they continue to try to book him as a superman, which is clearly a mistake. But saying the show was horrible is an exaggeration. There were good matches in the card, especially the US championships and Styles vs. Jericho. And the first time i see AJ finally delivering the Styles clash...Jericho kicks out. Not cool.

  6. I've heard before from mod makers (I'm not sure if this is the exact reason) but some people like Cpt. Charisma used to name AJ Lee as Miss April because AJ Lee was a WWE name. However I'm pretty sure Fleisch & TheWho changed it because her name is April Jeanette so AJ stands for her initials which is why WWE couldn't copyright it. Same goes for Styles. His name is Allen Jones (AJ) so TNA didn't have exclusive rights to it and therefore WWE could use it if they wanted to. Combine that with how much of a legacy Styles has paved, it would be downright silly to change his name. (Once again just reiterating I'm not 100% on the initials thing.) :)

Warner copyrighted Prince, that was his name, and they can't copyright 2 initials?

  7. For one, it would be silly to debut him as a big deal on the main roster with a different name when the entire premise around him is that everyone knows who he is

Eh guess you are right there. Bet he didnt even have to fight as hard as Punk did to keep his ring name.

Im just glad to see him back! I can imagine good feuds with Kevin Owens, even Cena as a "battle of the faces of their company/former company"

Time have changed. HHH has even more input and influence now.

  8. I don't think they go after TNA talent at all. Truthfully, James Storm, Samoa Joe and Austin Aries just fell into their hands. They were available because they left TNA and they all have drawing power, it makes sense to bring them in. But if WWE wanted TNA talent, you'd bet your bottom dollar that EC3 and Bobby Roode would be in NXT yesterday.

We'll be able to read all about it in RD Reynold's death of TNA book coming soon. :D:D:D

  9. I think that them handing the match to Reigns was really lazy booking as well...they should have given him something big for him to be able to qualify first. Because oh well...they hate him, but easily give him chances to get to the top? Makes no sense at all. Ambrose is looking more like a star in this than anybody else...Brock being added didn't make any sense either, they could have put in someone else who wrestled last night on the match, a heel most probably, and Brock could have attacked that someone to take his place next week. It would have made more sense.

It was really lazy booking and I don't see Reigns getting any benefit from it at all. If he had to chase the chance to fight at Fastlane much harder, then the crowd would likely be much more into him. At the end of the day, this just shows that the WWE is a one trick horse, or whatever the expression is. They only know how to super push Super Man style, and when they have to go on another direction...they screw up.

I only see dozens of Shoulder Tackles and Clotheslines, and the lack of synchronization. Swagger had a decent match with him, not good IMO. Cesaro had a good match with him. He was able to better protect him and both came out looking good. And they still had time to develop the Real American's incoming split. Big E hasn't impressed me at all yet and to make things worst, he's super stiff and a bit dangerous with some moves.

Edit: And yes: "Swagger is criminally underrated," as Show said and well.

My only disappointment was that it meant Mark Henry had a briefer feud with Cena, and Henry's better on the mic (I loved his phony retirement) and generally steadier than Ryback, who can be more hit or miss.

Also, unrelated, but why does everybody bleed when they wrestle Big E? Is he just working super stiff?

Yes.
