It's reached a point that, if Cena were to debut next week with the greatest gimmick the world has ever seen, a lot of people would still be chanting "Cena sucks" because it's become so ingrained that it's what the "cool kids" do.

I don't really care that people come in here and say that Cena is more than he shows, that is true. But i do care when people come here and complain about people who hate Cena. And this is not directe at you, Comradebot. I am on of the biggest Cena hater in the world, and it has nothing to do with is skills. If WWE shoves something for 10 years down my throath, I will hate it. And other people will hate it. Not everyone, but more people will. To think that people only hate him because it's cool is preposterous. We hate him becaue we're sick of him and bored to death. And after almost 10 years, there is a lot of resentment. So I don't care if they gave him the best gimmick ever and he excelled...I already dislike him. Nothing will change that. I'm not the only one. It has nothing to do with the reasons you mentioned. The only thing ingrained in here is that same old BS he has done for all these years.

Since than, it's always been unconfirmed rumours. Cutting back on costs and a bloated roster at a time of investment, where they are taking Impact on the road is good business policy. The kind of policy that ECW/WCW should have followed. Until someone actually produces proof that they are really having bad money issues, i see no reason for alarms.

I'll allow you to be the protector of my Money In The Bank briefcase.

What did he expect after basically stealing it from Cody?

Cody: Wow!!! Really! Ah man, Thanks BFF!!

Reality: smack to the head with briefcase, special delivery from Cody to Sandow

Cody was hot during the MITB match, had the crowd behind him, took out the Shield and others, and then..... His BFF who was hiding for most of the match, takes advantage of Cody and basically steals it from him after doing nothing relevant beforehand.

Sandow has always used his "Higher Intellect and Morale" and the old "Holier then thou" theme, as his heel basis. I love it. But it's being a heel. He will always act as if he's the gooerd guy, because that is the way his gimmick is played. "I am your intellectual savior, for only I have the true wisdom to lead you ignoramuses as to what good entertainment really is!"

With him and Cody it's been sort of... subtle, I guess for lack of a better word. In my eyes it was easy for me to follow, and has been something I been expecting for a while. I seen people post how it was all of a sudden, when Cody has definitely been getting more and more face as time has gone on... with the only real reason to boo him being his involvement with Sandow (and his mustache). He's even been nice to some extent to people backstage, that normally wouldn't go with being "heel". Kind of like Carlito before his face turn (that Carlito absolutely HATED).

Anyways, look for a semi-decent push for Cody in the future, while Sandow gets involved with higher level activities. I really don't think they expected Cody to get as much pop as he's been getting over this.. In fact, I didn't expect it either to be honest. I can see this feud getting pretty interesting as time goes on.

I quoted you only because I see your taking the JBL viewpoint again. JBL is obviously there for the heels, although he does put over everyone that gets in that ring.

JBL has nothing to do with me defending this opinion, but yeah i agree with some of his points. Just to clarify: I'm not saying it's a bad feud, im enjoying it, im not saying its poorly executed, or nothing like that. I understand why rhodes is the face and sandow the heel, im just not the type of viewer that has that unilateral stance of cheering who they "tell me to." I like both guys, but, being a writer, and loving complex characters, i can only find myself supporting both guys, cause i see none of them as a heel here. This is actually the type of situation that would put 2 best friends against each other in real life. And there's nothing better than liking and rooting for both workers on a feud to me. It adds to the drama of it all.

What if Bully losing causes a rampage that makes Aces and Eights (who've gotten a touch stale) a bit more dangerous and scary again?

What if they focus on Anderson/Magnus/Joe/Styles now for the four man final of the series? It would play off of Anderson and Bully's power struggle, Joe and Magnus' tension within the MEM, and Styles' brooding desire to be on top again.

I mean there's a lot of ways they can go from here. Like i said, it can be good if they have a good plan and thought it through. But it's TNA...so...one must be suspicious. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I know he knows how to read. I was actually kind of sticking up for him, because I have heard the same thing, just was trying to explain what they meant, but... It's not really that important. What was important was I can concur that I've heard that said before.

And I'm glad I'm not the only one that did see the things in advance. With Cody and Sandow, they were kind of the 2nd team we were watching, and they purposely had us looking for a team Hell No split, and possible feud, which really made the Cody/Sandow things look small in comparison, so it didn't stick out. Instead of Hell No feuding, we got the one that looked less likely... but they were both built toward that.

As soon as Ziggler come back, he had been cold toward AJ, and seemed to be different. There is of course the "APP" stuff as well, where they had some problems... but you didn't have to see that stuff (I mean, I didn't til' after it happened) to know it was coming. When I say changed, I mean he wasn't out right cheating, even while losing. Stuff he did as if it was just second hand before, he stopped doing. He has changed from snotty slimey brat heel into a loose cannon face. It wasn't a slow change, but it wasn't as fast as people making it sound. YES, he hung with the same crew, but the actual change started a little while right before he won the title. "I've been too damn good for too damn long!" It's been coming for a while. I didn't bring him up because there really hasn't been but maybe two people (maybe just one) that actually had a problem with that turn at all.

It's much easier to get a heel over then a face over, although popular belief is it's much harder to be a heel. Personally, I've been waiting for a face Ziggler ever since I watched some of his youtube shows. I want to see that charisma live on Raw, and it's the only way it has a chance to, if he can pull it off. IF he doesn't, I predict he won't be staying a face for very long.

Oh, don't worry chris, i wasn't attacking you or anything like that. I just took advantage of that sentence to make a point.

Edit: watched smackdown. Still don't see Sandow as the bad guy here. Not that it's a bad feud, i just won't agree with everything WWE does.

This takes a lot of value to what was a great run.

In fact if there is wrestling related attire in their crowd it is likely a WWE shirt.

It's one thing for say WWE to mention TNA or other companies because they are shining light on a competitor (I use that word loosely) that may not be well known, but with TNA everyone already knows WWE so there is no harm in mentioning it to enhance a wrestler on commentary.

and in regards to last night's main event, I am torn. It is the second year in a row where the Destination X theme potentially ruins the long build of a BFG main event like last year with Roode/Storm

I love to finally see Sabin as Champion...but why now...and like this? They just craped all over Bully's entire reign. The first one of his long and hard working career(And maybe the last, though that might not be the case now)...and it will lose all it's value...unless this is part of some good plan. I just don't see a good plan that can save what they just did to Bully.

  19. Was going to add this on to my previous post but I forgot so I will post it here, but I find it really stupid of TNA to mention WWE on their programming. It makes TNA seem extremely minor league compared to WWE when at one point TNA was trying to compete with WWE and still might be.

When WWE and WCW were around the only time WCW would mention WWE was to poke fun at them which seemed minor league as well but TNA mentioning guys that they currently have being former WWE Champions etc is really annoying.

No. It's called good commentating. Hiding the fact that they were WWE champions is ridiculous. Why would they? Let's open wrestling and not close it by refusing to say on air that other promotions exist.

  20.

We are the internet and we must complain.

Well, i'm gonna speak for myself here: i like WWE's current product. It's a lot better than it was a year ago, so i'm not complaining. With that said, i understand why some people still complain. They have been fed with crap for so long, that when things start to change, they're still suspicious. Which reminds me:

Now that 2 years are gonne i laugh at those who said the summer of punk wouldn't change a thing. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

  21. Clearly someone complained about it coming out of nowhere. . .

this is your post, #21633, on page 1443 by the way

As far as the stuff with Rhodes and Sandow there were some seed planted with that before MITB ever happened. Sandow looking at Cody in disgust after he was pinned Antonio Cesaro on Raw a few weeks ago is at least one example I noted.

When i said "I came out of nowhere" i was actually talking about disliking how it was booked. Obviously everyone saw it coming. My bad if i did not make myself clear, that was what i was saying.

  22. Do you have any of this proof to show us? You can't tell a guy he's wrong and to do research without showing some to support your statements.

I don't need to present squat when my post is telling him to see for himself.

I've heard actors say that as well... but I think SM doesn't understand really what is meant by that.

To play "yourself" in a movie about you, or about someone life that you were in, would feel surreal and self interested, uncomfortable, etc.

Huge difference vs. doing a wrestling promo, where the whole thing is about entertaining the crowd and trying to create a piece of you the crowd can connect with.

I think Foley was more right then wrong when he said Stand up Comedy and Wrestling Promo's go hand in hand, in that your relying on yourself totally, and trying to connect with the crowd (get them into what your doing/or against).

Shawn Michaels understands. He understands a lot better than some actual english speaking dudes on these boards. Some of those dudes were on diapers and Shawn Michaels 82 was already speaking english. Just saying.

  23. DJ is saying something I wanted to say earlier BTU couldn't find a "nice" way of putting. It's an excellent point. I couldn't say it without sounding argumentative so i chose not to post it, but I dont think Ziggler's face turn is sudden either really.

It's been on the tip of everyone's tongue for months now. He's been getting huge pops as a heel. It was inevitable. The Del Rio double turn was a catalyst to take it to the next level, but that's not a brand new thing. We're not cheering him all of a sudden because he got attacked. We're cheering him because he's been awesome. Del Rio's unsportsmanlike showing was all we needed to get fully behind it as a unit (meaning the fans...and I'm speaking with a bit of creative license).

That said, you guys are free to interpret the storylines the way you do no matter what. I mean if you don't like it and you think it'd be better with changes that's your opinion. I certainly see where Stennick is coming from it's not like he's being unreasonable. I just don't see it the same way if it makes any sense.

You didn't wanna sound argumentative so you...decide to say crap? (No offense intended) No one here complained or said that we never saw it coming. We saw it coming. The discussion was we did not like the way some of those turns were booked. To know something is coming doesn't mean you will like it when it comes.
