California Love Machine put away Liotta with the LAX Departure to advance to the next stage. Going Coastal def. The Latino Kings def. Evil Intent in 11:10 via pinfall Match Rating: 39 Sam Keith Classic (Round of 16) Match #3 20-minute time limit Rich & Famous (PSW) [vs] The Wolf Pack (MAW) - These two teams come into this contest in very different stages of their careers with very different current form. Idol & Jordan have been tag champs in two different companies, are in their primes as well as currently being on a 9-0 record this year coming into the tournament. Not to mention that they're 5 defences deep into their current reign as PSW Tag Team Champions. The Wolf Pack are young, hungry and have the potential to do well in their careers but are currently 1-4 for the year in tag team action and have been struggling. - Noggin & Tokoeka gave it a valiant effort and represented MAW exceptionally well but they just didn't have enough going on to take down the in-form and arrogant duo that opposed them, - Idol put away Noggin with a Reality Check to pick up the victory Rich & Famous def. Now these two look to lead the way for their Twentieth Century Watch stable. The IPW made 4 defences of their IPW Tag titles before losing them at IPW Invincibility in June. They're looking to bounce back. - It was a good encounter between two different outfits. Despite being the 'bad guys', The Disaster Artists were greeted with more favour than Barnaby & Rudge, even when they resorted to dirty tactics to gain the upper hand. - Zach Rudge built up a head of steam but was abruptly cut off by The Architect who caught him with The Blueprint and Rudge had no option but to tap. The Disaster Artists def. Barnaby & Rudge in 12:25 via submission Match Rating: 39 Sam Keith Classic (Round of 16) Match #5 20-minute time limit BFT (MAW) [vs] The Boys From The Yukon (NYCW) - This match featured 4 menacing and imposing figures ready to slug it out. BFT recently witness their stablemates/leaders prevail in the previous bout and so surely would be encouraged by this, even if it meant facing them in the next round. - The first few minutes involved the duos standing and trading shots before Monk & Randleman moved to the outside. They seemed to whisper and talk to each other before grabbing a couple of steel chairs from under the ring. - They re-entered the ring and before the NYCW duo could react they were eating sickening chair shot after sickening chair shot which left the ref no option but to call for the bell. - BFT clearly figured that instead of trying to win and face The Disaster Artists, they could brutally hurt and soften up The Boys From The Yukon to give their stablemates an advantage in the next round. The Boys From The Yukon def. BFT in 3:57 via disqualification Match Rating: 19 Sam Keith Classic (Round of 16) Match #6 20-minute time limit The Past Masters (MAW) [vs] DeMarcus & Gray (MAW) - These two teams have some recent history between them in this year with The Past Masters defeating their opponents at MAW Americana in April to become MAW tag champs. - The champions came into this full of confidence and arrogance but were abruptly taken down a few notches in the early goings by Nate DeMarcus who is a man on a mission at the moment. - Eventually, the heelish tactics got the better of Nate and he tagged in Gray who brought some babyface fire to the fast-paced contest. - The comeback was abruptly cut off though as Gray got overconfident and was caught in The Deep Sleep by Sandman. Historian was quick off the mark and cut off Nate who was attempting to make the save. Tyrone held on well but eventually couldn't hold on any longer and tapped out before he passed out. - Once the celebrations had finished, Nate lifted Tyrone to his feet, shook his hand, gave him a slap on the back and walked away leaving his 'partner', or now ex-partner, behind as the fans showed their appreciation for the duo. The Past Masters def. DeMarcus & Gray in 8:52 via submission Match Rating: 33 Sam Keith Classic (Round of 16) Match #7 20-minute time limit American Made (MAW) [vs] The Bruisin' Blues (MAW) - Findlay made an impactful return to MAW last month taking out Caulfield & Youngman and makes his official in-ring return tonight alongside the hottest heel in the company. - America & Keenan haven't been together long but have shown great chemistry in the time together and that showed here. They took in turns to have a go at Findlay but neither could prevail 1-on-1. However, they did seem to slowly be wearing down the big fella. - When William entered the fray, he immediately resorted to dirty heelish tactics to exert his dominance but Keenan & America were having none of it and the fans were rallying behind the duo. - Findlay saved the match on several occasions with interrupting pinfalls and eventually when he was again the legal man, he found another gear that America & Keenan couldn't compete with. He went on a 2-minute streak of dominance and seeming impervious to pain before he put the 19-year old America away emphatically with a vertebrae shattering Atomic Spinebuster. The Bruisin' Blues def. American Made in 10:33 via pinfall Match Rating: 41 Sam Keith Classic (Round of 16) Match #8 20-minute time limit The Puerto Rican Boys (FCW) [vs] Perez & Cougar (CZCW) - The reigning champions close the show out against Island Boy Apollo and Kid San Juan in what was sure to be a show stealer. Cougar's last appearance in MAW was in this year's RCI tournament losing to Tennessee William. From there he, and Perez, have both had underwhelming years. The current FCW Tag Team Champions were looking to add on to that. - In a decent card of good tag action, this was the definite MOTN. Both teams went all-out in order to try and advance to the next round. That shows the importance of the Sam Keith Classic to these teams. - 15 minutes of non-stop action were brought to a close when Perez connected with his brutal Perfect Parity finisher to ensure that the reigning holders would continue to fight to defend their trophy and close out the show in an impactful manner Perez & Cougar def. 3. Glad that you enjoyed the show. I enjoyed booking and writing up the rumble and flip-flopped on who should win it right up until the end. I've had a story in mind for Richie from the start which I feel is showing through with his booking so far. Happy you're enjoying it, friend. Well, in answer to a previous response, I couldn't unveil a stop for the 4 way winner's path to the rumble without potentially giving a firm clue as to who would win. With the 'No style-style' product it says that any matches under 15 minutes won't achieve world-class scores so 18 minutes isn't too short. At least for my penalties. Both guys had great chemistry and I hesitated on using the 'Once In A Lifetime' match aim but opted against it in case it tanked. I opted for Rip as I feel heel champions are more interesting to book but there's also more behind it. 1) Sam without a belt is more interesting to me as he always has a belt. Doesn't mean he won't get it, of course. He's Sam Strong after all. 2) With his Iconic popularity levels, he doesn't really need the belt. People will watch the product anyway. Glad you're here though, fella. Happy to have you aboard and following. Especially given your enjoyment for the 97' mod too. Could be my biggest critic.

The pyro echoes throughout the arena and lights it up as we cut to the announce team who continue to hype the evening that is HGC's first-ever Pay Per View event: Malice In Wonderland Angle Rating: 77 Fatal 4 Way Winner gets a spot in the Red Carpet Rumble. No-time limit Liberty [vs] Richie Pangrazzio Jr. [vs] Romeo Heartthrob [vs] Dusty Streets Four of the bigger names who all fell short in their quest for World Championship glory step into the ring to do battle and earn a spot in the Red Carpet Rumble to become the HGC International champion. Each man came into this with something to prove and neither one held back as they looked to prove they were better than the others. Dusty took control early and seemed to enjoy engaging in miniature 1-on-1 battles with each competitor as they grappled and he cleared them from the ring before they all came back for another crack. It didn't take long for Romeo to prove the most dishonourable by sneaking in a few eye pokes to gain an advantage. He then attempted to engage in 1-on-1 battles but the others weren't agreeable and all stormed the ring at once as eventually, the brawling began as fists flew everywhere and no one was safe. A series of near falls were shared between competitors with the others interrupting the counts. As signs of fatigue began to creep in, the match rolled towards its climax with each man proving increasingly desperate to land the victory. Liberty and Dusty were brawling on the outside as inside the ring Richie climbed to the top rope. He flew high but missed Heartthrob with a missile dropkick. As he hit the mat Romeo quickly snapped in the Cupid's Bow sharpshooter while Richie writhed about the mat in pain but seemingly refusing to submit. Romeo went to lock it in deeper but was met with a stiff boot the jaw from Streets who had briefly disposed of Liberty. Reeling from the kick, Romeo was lifted to his feet where Dusty snatched him in the hold that signalled The Dust Off. He connected with the move but as we went for the pin Liberty had rushed back into the ring and immediately caught the unsuspecting Streets with a Liberation Slam as the crowd roared it's approval. Liberty jumped to his feet in brief celebration as Streets looked like he was out cold but Liberty was halted before he could make the cover as Richie limped back into the ring and speared Liberty that sent him crashing through the ropes to the outside. With Liberty disposed of Jr. turned back to the downed Streets and made the cover as the ref counted to three. Winner: Richie Pangrazzio Jr. in 16:09 Finish: Pinfall Match Rating: 65 A brief celebration... He may have 'sneaked' it but Richie's wits earned him the victory and a spot in the Red Carpet Rumble as he celebrated in the ring while clutching his leg. He sat down in the corner of the ring and took a few deep breaths before rolling out the ring and began a slow walk up the ramp but he was interrupted by the voice of Micky Starr. Starr: "Ladies and Gentlemen, I have been giving the honour of introducing to you the first-ever Red Carpet Rumble match! Here are the rules..." Micky runs down the rules that are as follows: #1 - The superstars who drew numbers 1 & 2 will begin the match, #2 - Participants enter at 90-second intervals #3 - Elimination occurs when a superstar is thrown over the top rope and both feet touch the floor #4 - The last remaining participant will be crowned the first-ever HGC International Champion. "And now... the superstar who will enter number 1... Richie Pangrazzio Jr. Richie looks on stunned as his prize for winning his match is starting at number 1 in the match. He looks back to the ring in disbelief, slumps his shoulders and heads back to the ring as participant #2 is announced. Mr Lucha Angle Rating: 71 Red Carpet Rumble No time-limit. Mr Lucha, a world-travelled veteran of the business, doesn't care if you've just been in a match or not. He was here to win regardless of Richie's feelings about the situation and it showed. He immediately went to work on the already hurt legs of Richie to keep him hobbling. As quick and energetic as they come, Lucha showed off his athletic and dynamic offence to immediately put Jr. in a disadvantaged spot. Lucha raised him to his feet and went for the elimination and clotheslined him over the top rope but Richie held on to the ropes tightly. Lucha charged and Jr. caught him with a kick before flipping back into the ring with and planting the high-flyer with a Canadian Destroyer that popped the crowd and bought him some time... Not long though as the countdown from ten to one came quick and #3 entered the ring... Entry Number 3 Jack Bruce Jack Bruce entered the arena to jeers from the crowd but he posed and masqueraded his way down to the ring taking his time. Seeing the downed duo in the ring he was clearly in no hurry to get involved. He slowly walked the steps and climbed into the ring. Richie was first back to his feet and he approached Bruce who promptly slapped the vet right in his face. Jr. went to retaliate but JB expected it, ducked the receipt and planted Jr. with a New York Minute. Mr Lucha began to rise to his feet and eye up the arrogant youngster as the crowd began the countdown before #4 entered the match. Entry Number 4 Golden Fox Golden Fox pounced through the curtain onto the ramp with a great liveliness before sprinting straight for the ring. He slid in and through the legs of Bruce before bouncing off the ropes and taking him out with a flying crossbody. Fox & Lucha then engaged in some back and forth action before Bruce recovered and broke it up. The three men then got into it with each other as Richie sat quietly in the corner as if attempting to not be noticed. The action continued and the countdown began again... Entry Number 5 Steve Flash Making his official debut in HGC is Steve Flash. A very accomplished, talented individual in the business who is getting his first cup of coffee in the 'big time'. He receives a generous ovation from a pocket of the audience, obviously the tape traders. He walks to the ring with purpose, drinking in the reaction of the fans before sliding into the ring. He immediately gets into it with the three men fighting already and they begin to pop the crowd with aerial attacks and rapid exchanging of holds highlighting some of the best the cruiserweights have to offer HGC. The exchanging of moves is interrupted briefly as Richie, who seems to have caught his breath and regrouped, begins to attack laying in heavy right hands to anything that moves. He grabs Bruce by his hair and drags him towards the ropes looking for the elimination but JB holds on tightly and refuses to budge. Flash also remembers the purpose of the match and goes at in the corner with Mr Lucha vying for position to eliminate the other as the claxon sounds for #6... Entry Number 6 Peter Valentine There is nothing fancy or flashy about the offence of the 'King of Hearts'. He hasn't been seen on Hollyweird TV as yet but the audience have heard of him and he cuts quite the beefy and imposing figure. He stomps to the ring and surveys the scene that greets him. The in-ring action has stopped as all five combatants watch Valentine scale the steps and step into the ring. They either don't like him or see him as a threat but there's a few moments of a staredown between Valentine and the rest before Lucha, Fox, JB, Richie & Flash all instantly attack and begin to wear down the big fella. He struggles to get them off. He'll paw one away before two decide to stick the boots in. He'll shove those two away with great strength and then the other two will pounce on him never letting him breathe. They each take it in turns of two's or three's laying in strikes to Valentine as the claxon sounds for entrant #7... Entry Number 7 Jimmy Power The hardened veteran steps onto the ramp that leads to the ring, sneers at the audience around him and looks straight ahead at the chaos ensuing in the ring. He walks to the ring with a sense of authority and determination. He takes his time and circles the ring as the competitors inside continue to beat down Valentine. JB drops the big man with a New York Minute and Golden Fox hops up from the mat to the turnbuckle and stands ready to fly but before he can Power has hopped up to the apron and with one arm shoves Fox from the buckle to the floor. Golden Fox is eliminated Power steps into the ring, having caught the attention of the rest of the group and begins to clobber everyone who comes near him. The brawling continues and Power has exerted his authority on the match as number 8 enters the fray... Entry Number 8 Leon Williams The recent debutant sprints towards the ring and begins delivering swift clotheslines to all who are there but he's shut down by Valentine who has managed to recover from the onslaught he was suffering. He looks pissed and takes it out on Williams initially smacking him heavy clubbing blows to bring him to his knees. Steve Flash hits the ropes and comes towards Valentine but the big man is wise to it and promptly takes him down with a big boot. He then lifts Flash to his feet and flings him from the ring. Steve Flash is eliminated Six left from eight entries so far and Valentine looks to add another elimination to his tally but Mr Lucha avoids the attack as #9 enters... Entry Number 9 Mr. Charlie Copeland The man formerly known as Charlie Homicide steps out in his pristine white leather jacket and calmly, serenely takes in his surroundings as he slowly saunters to towards the ring. In the ring, the six men have paired themselves off to fight it out. Lucha and JB are in one corner, Power & Richie Jr in another with Williams trying to go blow for blow with Valentine. Copeland eventually arrives ringside but doesn't enter the ring. He stands, arms crossed with his hands tucked under his armpits. He then walks towards the timekeeper's table and motions for a microphone. Still, in no rush to get involved or speak he simply holds the microphone to his mouth but says nothing... the crowd have turned their attention to the ramp as the claxon signals for the last entrant. Entry Number 10 Cowboy Ricky Dale The charismatic Texan's theme hits and the crowd cheer in recognition but there's no sign of the cowboy. A small pocket of fans by Copeland begins to cheer as the cowboy has taken him by surprise, hopped the railing and thrown him into the ring. The cowboy, fired up, then enters the ring and immediately takes the fight to everyone. He charges towards Jack Bruce who is stood by the ropes and clotheslines him over the top. Jack Bruce is eliminated He then hits those ropes and charges towards the other side of the ring and clotheslines Mr Lucha over the rope as well. The Mexican held on tight and got to his feet but Ricky was unphased and struck him with a heavy right hand to send him to the floor. Mr Lucha is eliminated Valentine and Williams are still going at it but Ricky soon gets involved by clubbing Valentine. His blows have the big man stunned and reeling. Ricky uses the opportunity to bounce off the ropes and plant him with a Southern Justice that pushes Valentine across the ring and leaning against the ropes. Ricky hits the ropes a second time planting a second Southern Justice clothesline on Valentine that sends him crashing to the floor. Peter Valentine is eliminated The cowboy is hyped up and the fans are fully behind him. As he leans over the ropes to taunt Valentine he is caught unawares and Jimmy Power scoops his legs and shoves RD over the rope and out of the ring while shouting "I told you this wasn't done between us" Cowboy Ricky Dale is eliminated As Jimmy Power gloats and shouts at Ricky he falls victim to what he just inflicted on the Cowboy as Richie Jr. springs into action and flips Jimmy over the ropes. Jimmy Power is eliminated Then three men remained. Leon Williams who was relatively fresh, Mr Charlie Copeland who was also fresh and Richie Pangrazzio Jr. who entered #1 and had also fought for sixteen minutes before the Rumble began. He looked weary but determined. Leon & Richie gave each other a swift glance before turning their attention to Mr. Charlie. Richie took a step towards him before turning back and planting a super-kick on the jaw of Williams. He then grabbed the patriot by his flowing golden locks and threw him from the ring... Leon Williams is eliminated The crowd appeared slightly stunned. Copeland appeared slightly impressed. He motioned for Richie Jr. to hold on and wait where he was while he got a microphone... Copeland: "Now Richie, hold on. Before you go and do anything drastic like that again let's talk for a second. (Richie doesn't look impressed but lets him continue) As you may have noticed I'm a changed gentleman. No longer bound by the expectations of those around me and what everyone thinks I should do. I'm now about unleashing and harnessing the potential of people for the greater good. For a greater gain. Changing people for the better. And if anyone has underachieved it's you and deserves a change it's you... You're part of an "All-Star team" but you're not treated like an all-star. You're chastised and dismissed by your coach... by your father... while he celebrates those around you. You should be celebrated and I can help with that. Join me. Join the Copeland Clan and you'll walk into everything else in life as a much richer man... because you'll regret it if you don't." Richie looks stunned at what Copeland has been saying. It almost makes sense. Copeland has his arms outstretched as if to motion for an embrace. The crowd are jeering and shouting "No!" as Richie looks around him. He slowly walks towards Copeland and hesitates briefly before connecting with a stiff slap that echoes throughout the arena. Copeland runs his hand across his cheek, turns to Richie and claps his hands twice. We hear him say "You chose poorly..." as he backs up to the ropes. A few brief moments pass as Richie chuckles to himself. He begins to walk towards Copeland again but stops in his tracks as the crowd all audibly gasp and pop in awe as two face painted, baseball bat-wielding figures descend from the rafters and stand in front of Copeland. Richie looks stunned at this turn of events and a look of great concern comes across him as he sees the figures lift their bats up. He's made it this far and the odds don't look good. He raises his fists as Charlie claps again and both men stab their baseball bats into the skull of Richie in a 'Conchairto' style as he instantly crumbles to the ground. Copeland and his duo all raise Richie above their heads in a crucifix style pose. The duo with one arm each and Copeland with his legs as they then dump Richie out of the ring. The bell rings and the crowd are in disbelief. Mr Charlie Copeland has won the match and he never threw a punch. Winner: Mr. Charlie Copeland in 14:10. Mr Charlie Copeland is the new HGC International champion. Finish: Elimination Match Rating: 62 Tag Team Match 15-minute time limit The Tag Team Specialists [vs] Savage Fury A change of pace from the previous two bouts with two teams who are still trying to find their footing in HGC but who are both showing great potential. The raw power of Savage Fury was on full display here as they prove to have some fine chemistry as a duo but Oxford & Bryant have a solid understanding of each other and earn the victory with Oxford's Top Rope Kneedrop Winner: The Tag Team Specialists in 8:04 Finish: Top Rope Kneedrop Match Rating: 31 Whistler prepares... Whistler is seen going through the final preparations for his upcoming fight vs BLZ Bubb. He is seen talking to Liberty & Leon Williams as they warn him about not being too foolish in this fight. They have his back if he needs. He tells them that the fight has been made No DQ, at his request, but under no circumstances are they to get involved. He's got this. He finishes taping up those ribs that were injured weeks ago and adopts a look of steely determination as he exits the locker room... Angle Rating: 54 No Disqualifications No time limit Whistler [vs] BLZ Bubb This match lasted double the length of their last encounter and that was probably helped by Whistler being given the ability to use weapons. However, this offered BLZ Bubb the same pleasure and you needn't ask the demon twice. Both of them went hell for leather as they slugged each other with pounding strikes. Whistler went punch for punch with Bubb but he was always going to come off the worse of the duo. It was only a matter of time before more weapons got involved but, try as he did, Whistler couldn't topple the demon. A vicious Hades Bomb onto a couple of steel chairs put away Whistler and possibly cracked a few more ribs. Winner: BLZ Bubb in 8:49 Finish: Hades Bomb (Jackknife Powerbomb) Match Rating: 48 Someone's gotta stop him... BLZ Bubb is victorious but, once again, is not content with just victory. He continues to encourage and engage Whistler in a brawl as he drags the army veteran up the ramp onto the stage. He then hoists Whistler up and hurls Whistler from the stage in a brutal Hades Bomb as he crumples onto the electrical equipment and speakers below as sparks fly everywhere. Bubb cackles and walks away whilst Liberty and Leon rush out to attend to Whistler along with EMT's. Angle Rating: 53 Tag Team Match 15-minute time limit Dark Eagle, Electrico & Ramon Paez [vs] Jason Jackson, Monty Walker & The Danger Kid These fine cruiserweights have been putting on excellent displays on TV in recent weeks in a mixture of combinations and this one was no different. Another change of pace and style from what we've already seen this evening these individuals continue to go all out and it's surely only a matter of time before they're doing it over some gold. This was ten minutes that whizzed by in a blur and it was Dark Eagle who secured the win for his team putting away The Danger Kid for the second time in 5 days with his Eagle Shock Winner: Dark Eagle, Electrico & Ramon Paez Finish: Eagle Shock (Top Rope Razor's Edge) Match Rating: 49 Tag Team Match 15-minute time limit The Blazing Flames [vs] The Demons of Rage This match involved the two teams who came up short in the 4v4 bouts to book a place in the tag team title match. Both duos are amongst the most experienced in the world in all things tag team wrestling and yet have never crossed paths before joining up in HGC and this would mark their first match against each other. The Flames came out firing on all cylinders as expected with their usual offering of fast-paced and quick teamworking attacks to never let the Demons get an opportunity to strike back. A brief lapse though, couple with a low-blow that the referee didn't see gave The Demons an opportunity to fight back. After recent defeats at the hands of the Vesseys, albeit tainted defeats, The Demons showed a viciousness in their attacks that we haven't seen yet in HGC. The Flames mounted a brief come back and Teddy Flame flew from the top rope but was caught by Anger who reversed the splash into a bone-shattering Demon Slam. Spite took out Joey as Anger made the cover and The Demons emerged victorious. Winner: The Demons of Rage in 9:43 Finish: Demon Slam (Alabama Slam) Match Rating: 63 Tag Team Championship 30-minute time limit The Vessey Brothers w/ Coach Dick [vs] Black Serpent Cult Both of these teams should a willingness to work together and mutual respect for each other in their efforts to make it this far but it only took a few seconds for that to be completely disregarded as this match got underway. Cobra and Viper may be the wrong side of 50 but to them, that just means they have more experience and are smarter in the ways of the squared circle than The Vesseys, in particular Bryan. This was evident as some smart tag-teaming and quick tags from the 'heels' kept Bryan isolated and unable to tag in his older and more experienced brother. Coach Dick was on the sidelines hyping up his All-Stars but that seemed to only encourage BSC to isolate Bryan further and inflict further punishment. With things looking bleak Coach Dick hopped up to the apron and attempted to get involved. Viper took a dislike to this, began arguing with Dick and then laid him out with a stiff right hand that sent the 61-year-old crashing to the floor. Infuriated, Bryan sprung up and attacked with a wild fury. He hit the ropes and both men connected with a double clothesline that left them both on the mat. The crowd got hyped up, encouraging the younger brother to his corner. The hot-tag was made and Larry Vessey went to work. Clotheslines, powerslams and a general aura of "Let's ****ing go!!!" was called for as he had the BSC reeling. Cobra rose to his feet but was immediately laid back out with a Sick Cycle. Larry made the cover. Viper attempted to intervene but Bryan cut him off as the referee made the three count to a huge ovation from the crowd. Winner: The Vessey Brothers in 15:23. The Vessey Brothers are the new HGC Tag Team Champions. Finish: Sick Cycle (Black Mass) Match Rating: 69 One More Time... It covers their history of encounters from their times in the APWF, SWF and now their upcoming encounter in HGC. Springsteen's "Born In The USA" introduces Strong, sporting a bandana to prove he bleeds red, white and blue. He plays to the crowd and high-fives the fans as he walks to the ring. There's a few signs of a limp, suffering the lingering effects of attacks in recent weeks, but Strong no-sells it. "Voodoo Child" by Jimi Hendrix introduces Rip Chord who embraces a look of pure grit and determination. The polar opposite of Strong. He pays no attention to the crowd. He walks plainly and calmly to the ring having made this same journey so many times before. The introductions are made, the championship is shown to the audience and the bell is rung to begin the match. Chord instantly drops to the ground and rolls to the outside as the jeers begin. Chants in favour of Strong can be heard at a deafening volume throughout the arena but Chord continues to ignore the crowd. He does a full lap of the ring at a leisurely pace. The ref is offering some leeway but eventually begins the ten count. Chord rolls back into the ring at 9, stopping the count, and then rolls back out again. The crowd who were deafening before seem to have been turned up to 11 as the boos are raining down on Chord. The count begins again and at 9 Chord slides back into the ring. The two men taunt each other before engaging in a collar and elbow tie-up. Immediately Chord is thrown to the mat in a stunning display of strength from Strong. They engage again and again the same result happens as Chord's look of determination begins to show a glimmer of doubt. The collar and elbow tie-up is called for again. Strong hurls Chord into the ropes and shoulder blocks him on his return as Chord takes some time to back off. They look to engage in a test of strength which the American Icon instantly gains the upper hand on but Chord replies with an eye poke. He backs Strong into the corner and begins chopping fiercely at the fan favourite. Chord has the advantage now and goes for an Irish whip but he sweeps the legs of Strong and begins kicking violently at the injured legs of Sam Strong. He snaps in a figure-four leglock and the screams of pain from Strong begin. Chord continues to wrench at the legs but Strong refuses to submit shaking his head in defiance. Eventually Strong reaches the ropes and Rip breaks the hold on the count of four. The referee backs him off briefly but Rip brushes past him, pulls Strong into the centre of the ring and snaps on the figure four again. He is relentless in his pursuit to take down the Icon but again, despite the agony he is in, Strong refuses to give in and once again reaches the ropes. Chord backs off and waits a minute, taunting the crowd as Strong slowly rises and limps to his feet. Sensing an opportunity Chord rushes to Strong and plants him with the Rip Chord DDT to the utter shock of the crowd. This could be it! He makes the cover... 1 . . . . . . . . 2 . . . . . . . . . SHOULDER UP! Strong kicks out and as he does so he instantly rises to his knees and shakes his head furiously at Chord. Chord strikes him but Strong rises to one knee. Chord strikes him again and Strong rises to his feet as the crowd are hitting hysteria levels of volume. Strong goes to take a step but hobbles and that's all Chord needs to give him a quick kick to the knee and hit another Rip Chord DDT! He did it again! Chord makes the cover as the crowd are reeling. 1. . . . . . . . . 2 . . . . . . . . SHOULDER UP AGAIN! SAM STRONG WILL NOT BE PUT DOWN AND ONCE AGAIN HE RISES TO HIS KNEES AS THE FANS ARE GOING WILD!!! Chord is furious at this and chops at Strong but the Icon is suddenly seeming impervious to pain and refuses to show any more weakness. He rises to his feet and catches Rip's hand as he goes for another chop. He flings Chord into the corner and and begins chopping in retaliation and the fans are loving it! He whips Chord into the opposite corner and as Chord comes bouncing back off the turnbuckle he his crushed with a Strong Arm Tactic! Strong has done it!! 1 . . . . . . . . . . 2 . . . . . . . . KICK OUT!!!! Chord raises a shoulder on two and nine/tenths of a second as Strong looks on in disbelief. Strong picks up Chord and looks to go for the Strong Arm Tactic once more but as he swings, Chord ducks under and as Strong turns around he is planted with one more Rip Chord DDT! But Chord isn't satisfied. He drags Strong back up to his feet as the Icon stumbles and he downs the legend with another DDT! That's number 4. That has to be it... 1 . . . . . . . . . 2 . . . . . . . . . . . 3!!!! Winner: Rip Chord in 17:50. Rip Chord is the new HGC World Champion. Finish: Rip Chord DDT Match Rating: 87 It's finally over! Chord raises the title high above his head to a mixed reaction from the crowd. The faithful Strong followers rain down boos while the fans who were won over voice their appreciation for the new champion! Chord mouths off to the fans who were giving him so much shit earlier whilst taunting them with his newly won prize as Sam Strong begins to slowly, painfully hobble up the ramp and away from the ring. Confetti rains down on Chord as a distraught and pained Strong looks on as his long-time rival holds the gold! Angle Rating: 86 Overall Show Rating: 84 </div>
  8. Another good show, friend. Solid title defence for the Express in the main event I don't mind the pace you churn them out at but keep them coming.

  10. Has anyone come across or made a logo for The Sam Keith Classic event by MAW? It used to be Summer Heatwave that was the event.
  11. <div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #0c0d0d; margin:10px;background: #75878a; max-width:100%;box-shadow: 0 3px 12px ";"> Good evening wrestling fans around the world. As we enter the second half of the year it's been an interesting start to the new decade for the professional wrestling world but I'm not here to report on the rest of the world. This article is about the biggest event that the independent Tag Team scene has to offer. This year's Sam Keith Classic hits an impressive milestone in that this will be the tenth year that it is an active part of the independent wrestling scene. The Confederation of the Territories, another Sam Keith creation, brings together seven independent companies under one umbrella to share talent, compete with each other and compete for gold. Those seven companies are: Coastal Zone Championship Wrestling FREEDOM Caribbean Wrestling Invincible Pro Wrestling Mid Atlantic Wrestling New York City Wrestling Original Lucha Libre Is Eternal Pittsburgh Steel Wrestling In order to make the tenth Sam Keith Classic the biggest and best yet, Sam has deemed it appropriate for the event to take place over two nights instead of the usual one, with a huge sixteen teams taking part in the knockout tournament. The sixteen teams will be made up of tag teams from the respective companies (or at least those who took part) and it's my job to give you the rundown of all the details including the participants and the draw itself. So without further ado, let's have a look and see. Sam Keith Classic Entrants American Made (MAW) The MAW duo is made up of Kip Keenan, who arrived a few months ago from FCW, and Jack America who has been slowly rising the ranks in MAW. They are a tag team who have shown a lot of potential in their short time together and, although you wouldn't class them as favourites, there's no reason why they can't make a good run of it. Barnaby & Rudge (IPW) Representing IPW are the former two-time tag champs there, Ash Barnaby & Zach Rudge. An experienced and yet still young duo, they only recently had their second reign as IPW champs ended and will be here with a point to prove. Could do well. BFT (MAW) Carlos Randleman and Milton Monk, recent debutants to the business and TCW development talent, are representing MAW but, more than that, they're also representing their stable, TCW: Twentieth Century Watch. The duo relies on Blunt Force Trauma to get the job done. Although they're unlikely to win it all, I wouldn't bet against them if they can stay focused on winning instead of just hurting people but that seems to be easier said than done for these brutes. DeMarcus & Gray (MAW) It's been a very disappointing year for the duo. They only managed two defences before losing their MAW tag titles to The Past Masters and, although they have won more than they've lost, Nate said that he felt a change was needed and if they didn't win here that they'd go their separate ways. They've been a fine team for 5 years and have won the tournament before but I can't see their fortunes changing here. Evil Intent (OLLIE) Slayyer & Hellspawn666, representing OLLIE at 45 & 39 respectively, are the oldest duo in the tournament but don't for a second think that counts them out. They're also the most decorated team in the tournament holding three different Tag Team titles for a total of seven reigns together. Not to mention more reigns with other partners. One of those reigns included ten months as COTT Tag Champs so they very well could be the team to beat. Going Coastal (CZCW) The charismatic and flashy duo of California Love Machine & Frankie-Boy Fernandes represent CZCW this year and have a flair for the acrobatic as a team. Three-time tag champs in CZCW, they've been a bit down on their luck this year on home soil but there's no reason why it can't turn around here. Franke Perez & Masked Cougar (CZCW) The current holders of the tournament. Both men have been struggling in CZCW in their pursuits of singles gold but they are talented performers who have won it recently and so you can't count them out becoming the first team to win it twice. Rich & Famous (PSW) The current PSW champions. Jordan & Idol are also four-time tag champs in CZCW and are currently enjoying their second reign as PSW tag champs. Arrogant and brash with the ability to back it up, this duo could be strong contenders to go all the way. The Boys from Yukon (NYCW) The current NYCW Tag Team champions and enjoying their third reign with the belts. They've got eight years of experience as a duo and are undefeated this year in NYCW. It wouldn't be a stretch to see them in the running. The Bruisin' Blues (MAW) Findlay and Tennessee William only recently aligned a few weeks ago at MAW Fan Festival as Findlay made his return to the company. William opted to team with the big fella here as opposed to Deuce Deadline, his other muscle, and it could be a fine choice with Findlay having won the tournament eight years ago alongside Matthew Keith. A dangerous combination, especially with the return of arguably the most dominant wrestler in the company's history. The Disaster Artists (MAW) Seth Whitehead and The Architect recently joined together to form the TCW stable and defeated DeMarcus & Gray in their only match together so far. Their inexperience as a duo could be offset by their individual strengths and what better way to make a statement leading a new stable than to win gold straightaway? The Heartbreak Express (MAW) The two-time MAW tag champs have had an unexciting and difficult 2020 so far with limited success. An opportunity to bounce back emphatically is upon them here but on their current form I can't see their fortunes changing. The Latino Kings (MAW) The five-time FCW Tag Champs have breathed some fresh life into what was a lagging tag division in MAW but so far success in the way of gold has eluded them. The most experienced team in the tournament having been together for fourteen years, perhaps this format is exactly the sort of thing they need to continue their springboard for success. The Past Masters (MAW) The current MAW Tag Team champions have had a barnstormer of a year in 2020 so far. They haven't lost cleanly yet and have proven to be quite the formidable duo. Compounding their current tag team success with a victory here is very possible and would immediately catapult them into the area of all-time great tag teams in MAW. The Puerto Rican Boys (FCW) Island Boy Apollo and Kid San Juan have been teaming for ten years and have three reigns as FCW tag team champions to their name. An incredibly talented duo with bags of experience who could do really well this year despite the amount of talent that'll be on display. The Wolf Pack (MAW) Having been teaming together for a little over three years, these fellas are still only 21 & 22 respectively and can go with the best of them. They've had a very disappointing year with only one win for them so far but you shouldn't count them out completely. Surprises do happen in these sorts of tournaments. And so there we have the sixteen teams who'll be fighting for tag team supremacy and to join previous winners such as Hollywood Bret Starr & KC Glenn, Cameron Vessey & Casey Valentine and The American Cobras, Marvel Malloy & Storm Spillane. The tournament has the potential to be a star making opportunity so let's look at the draw and see who can go all the way to glory...
  12. Happy to have two of my biggest supporters here as well. I appreciate it, fellas.
  13. July 2020 - #17 A six month recap Alright. So, apparently, the wonders of the internet continue to escape and confuse me and my previous updates for the followers of MAW haven't been reaching the masses. Frustrating but, onwards and upwards as they say. We're now days away from the tenth Sam Keith Classic and Marvin, Jay and I have put the plans in place for it to hopefully be an extraordinary event and our best version yet. That's still days away and it seems only right to sum up what has been an exciting six months for Mid Atlantic Wrestling as well. We've increased our roster size, put on extra events and are even being televised. Well, as televised as Wrestleworld allows us to be. We've made some new stars, continued to expand the COTT and are still about where we started financially. I consider that a victory. Anyway, before we officially enter the next six months of life in MAW that starts with the 'Classic', let's recap the previous six if any of you here are new. Plus, we missed the month of June too, -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2020 Recap so far... January brought us the fifteenth Rip Chord Invitational and with it a new first-time winner in Ernest Youngman, the newest member of the MAW roster. In the process of victory he drew the ire of Tennessee William, another new member of the MAW roster, and these two have been feuding ever since. Bradley Blaze retained the Heavyweight title vs Cheetah Boy in the main event of Old School Rules as other stories across the roster began to take shape. At Super Showdown, Youngman defeated William in the main event to earn the right to challenge for the COTT World Title at Americana while Davis Wayne Newton, another new member of the roster, started to make waves while intending to challenge Jaylon Martins for the Mid Atlantic American belt. Both of these men would go on to win the belts they intended to challenge for in April at Americana. The third title change at Americana saw The Past Masters defeat DeMarcus & Gray for the tag belts. I would put Americana as our best show of the year so far with regards to quality across the card but for audience reaction and genuine shock, the best was yet to come. April also saw the debuts of Ricky Dale Johnson in a special guest enforcer capacity for the COTT World Title match and 'The Hardcore American' Chris Caulfield as he challenged Tennessee William. He ended the match victorious via DQ but certainly far worse off than when he entered as William began to show signs of a ruthless streak. May saw The Past Masters draw the ire of The Latino Kings in the battles for Tag Team supremacy in the company. We also witnessed the debut of two TCW graduates in Milton Monk & Carlos Randleman who debuted in the form of BFT: A brutal and heavy-hitting tag team who aren't to be messed with. They then aligned themselves with the talents of Seth Whitehead and The Architect to form the stable TCW: Twentieth Century Watch, A stable of 3 TCW development talents and The Architect, a kid who is destined for the big time anyway. May also saw the difficulties between Nate DeMarcus & Tyrone Gray continue as the tag team seemed to be drifting apart and struggling from issues of miscommunication. June saw our biggest turn of events yet. The TCW stable continued to look dominant as Whitehead continues to beatdown his former partner in Harvey Robbinfield, even with American Made helping out Robbinfield. Josh Jacobs demanded another rematch with Blaze after his loss at Americana and, despite giving it an excellent effort, came up short again in another title opportunity. The main event of MAW Fan Festival saw Chris Caulfield & Ernest Youngman against Tennesee William and his 'lackey' Deuce Deadline in a No Disqualifications match, a stipulation of Caulfield and Youngman's request. It seemed like all would go well for the dup but the stipulation would bite them in the end as we witnessed the return of Findlay O'Farraday to a MAW ring for the first time in five and a half years. Now named 'Big Bruiser Findlay', he hopped the barricade and completely decimated the unsuspecting babyface duo allowing William to cover the veteran and pick up the win. Findlay, Deadline & William then stood tall, united, to end the final show before the Sam Keith Classic begins. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- And so there we have the first six months of the year for us. Our shows are now selling out in the Stanley Hall almost every time we are there, the product is hotter than ever with a talent roster determined to prove themselves as the best the Indie scene has to offer so the big leagues can come chasing after them. Now, let's find out who the best tag-team going today is...

He hopped the barricade, entered the ring and began to lay thick, heavy chair shots into The Demon. The former Army veteran was relentless in his assault with shot after shot cracking off The Demon's back and with every chair shot that connected Bubb seemed to only flinch, clearly feeling the pain but refusing to show it. </span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> The chair was mangled and dented in appearance as Bubb slowly began to rise to his feet. As he did Strong rose also and before Bubb could respond to Whistlers barrage of attacks he was the victim of a Strong-Arm Tactic. This stunned The Demon but only left him stumbling slightly before Strong connected with a second one that floored him. Whistler cleared the ring, Strong made the cover and Sparrow counted to three with Bubb raising his shoulders milliseconds after the third count.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></span><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><strong>Winner:</strong></span></span><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> Sam Strong in 10:04</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></span><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><strong>Finish:</strong></span></span><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> Strong-Arm Tactic (Bionic Elbow)</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></span><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><strong>Match Rating: 79</strong></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></span><img alt="jcyUkK2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/jcyUkK2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></span><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><strong>Never let him recover</strong></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> The crowd cheered in elation that Strong had booked his place at Malice. It showed. They knew each other well.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> An evenly poised affair throughout Rip became more and more reliant on underhanded tactics as Dusty displayed that infamous 'never-back-down' attitude that exists within the Streets family.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> The match was reaching its climax with fans hanging on to everything that was being thrown at each man. Counters were met with counters, stiff chops were retaliated with even stiffer chops as the originally technical affair boiled down into, as they most often do in Hollyweird, a slug fest.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> Rip came careering off the ropes for a stiff clothesline that Streets ducked under and instantly caught Rip in the hold for the Dust-Off. As he went for the move Rip wriggled free, caught Streets with a quick kick to the gut and went for his DDT but Streets stood firm and promptly slapped Chord with a sound that echoed and reverberated throughout the arena. </span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> As Chord stood stunned, Streets turned and hit the ropes before coming back at Chord looking to connect with a spear but as he hooked himself around the midriff of the man, Rip managed to simultaneously hook his arm around the neck of Streets and as they both hit the ground he planted Streets with the Rip Chord DDT.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> He still ate a spear but countered sufficiently to do more damage to his opponent. He slowly rolled Streets over, made the cover and booked his place at Malice to fight against his long-time rival for a shot at World Championship glory!</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></span><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><strong>Winner:</strong></span></span><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> Rip Chord in 16:01</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></span><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><strong>Finish:</strong></span></span><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> Rip Chord DDT</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></span><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><strong>Match Rating: 78</strong></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></span><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><strong>Overall Show Rating: 75</strong></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </div></span></span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="52481" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Quick Results</span></p><p> Dark Eagle def. 23. Can anyone with the skill set and the willing turn this fellas jacket from a blood red to a white? Ala Brodie Lee style? Thanks in advance if you can.
  24. The penalty is very minimal though to the point of putting on an 'unimportant vs unimportant' is still beneficial for pop gains for the workers involved (Depending on product and exposure) In a 6 match card for example, 1 match of 'Unimportance' in the middle of all the rest of matches really wouldn't put much of a ding on your overall show rating, if any at all. I get wanting it from a sandboxing point of view but Vinsmoker makes a fair point. Just because AEW Dark built up stars through those means doesn't mean people were interested in them in the beginning. Every AEW Dark card still has a few matches where the grand majority of people are probably like, 'meh'.
  25. 10 Minute Time Limit Match Shockwave vs. American Gold Comments: 10 Minute Time Limit Match Rajah vs. Rick Law Comments: Non-Title Match 15 Minute Time Limit Match Jaime Quine vs. Wendy Anderson Comments: 10 Minute Time Limit Match Ducont & Thatcher vs. Natural Storm Comments: USPW World Title Match TV Time Remaining Rich Money defends vs. Nicky Champion Comments: DQ Finish so the champion retains. Enjoyed the last show. Good to see you back here and putting out the usual high quality of show. Long may it continue.
