  3. Bison your creative streak right now knows no bounds. The content has been tremendous of late and that Nicky Champion is excellent. Bravo.
  4. Would anyone fancy taking a fresh crack at a Roger Cage unless I've missed one. In his imminent heel run for me I'm picturing a cross between A-List Miz and 'Ravishing' Rick Rude? Appreciate what anyone may offer up. Thanks in advance you creative bunch.

This week's American Wrestling is in the books and it's time for our look back, assessment and recap of the show. Let's get into it. USPW American Wrestling emanated from the state of Oklahoma this week to 15,000 sell out! The latest Reverie figures come through at 11,871,104 which is an increase from last weeks show which was down from the week before. The effect of the last show before the Special Event. Let's dig in. Segment 1: The show opened in the same fashion it has for the previous two episodes with ongoing storylines being heavily hyped via a video package and the enthusiastic announce team as they open and hype the broadcast. Solid. (83) Segment 2: A talking segment to follow up the opening. Nicky Champion addresses the USPW faithful, hypes his match on Saturday with Frehley and his opponent tonight in a 'warm-up', Big Bubba. Typically solid but standard promo from the 'Figurehead'. (79) Segment 3: Nicky Champion vs Big Bubba This told the tale as old as time in USPW of the 'never-say-die' babyface attempting to overcome the big bad guy and currently they don't come much bigger than Bubba. Solid match. The selling was lacking as it's hardly what either man are known for but the storytelling was on point. Frehley & Blake were ringside but didn't get involved and neither did Running Wolf. Clean finish via the Hawkeye Hammer. (69) Segment 4: No post-match shenanigans? How unusual. Instead we cut to a pre-tape from Deville, Baine & T-Rex who state that if the champions are truly champions then a No DQ match shouldn't be an issue for them. The feed cuts and the champions respond with their usual jovial charisma and happily accept the No DQ stipulation so there can be no excuses for the challengers loss. Basic promos to remind us that there are tag titles up for grabs on Saturday but it was good. (69) Segment 5: Charity Sweet vs Jillian Jarvis Sweet hasn't been seen in 3 weeks but the crowd are still supporting, especially the younger demographic. She whipped up crowd support and took the fight to 'The Iron Lady'. Jarvis is as tough as they come and had her moments but Sweet has found her sweet spot, so to speak, and took the win via her Sugar Smack. (62) Segment 6: We then got a surprisingly fantastic post-match promo from Sweet. She put over the Women's title scene and the talent in the division but that she feels she's among the best now and is calling out the winner of Sara Marie vs Alicia Strong. She wants a title opportunity. The fans ate all of this up. (84) Segment 7: The follow up to this was Lionel Greenwood and his conducting a sit-down interview with Strong and Sara Marie hyping up the title match and the importance of the belt to both. They're last meeting was a double count-out in January. This will be decisive. Another solid segment (70) Segment 8: Natural Storm & The Force vs The Business (Money, Nash, Zeus & Jackson) This was 11:30 of decent, heel advantaged action and one minute of chaos. The Business had the upper hand for most of the contest cutting off comeback efforts until a ref bump occurred. This offered Jumbo Jackson the opportunity to stomp to the ring and throw his weight over anyone who interrupted as he was looking for revenge on his ex-partner. Nash stepped up and the two began beating lumps out of each other but Nash went for Jumbo's dodgy knee. The chaos allowed Force to take out Zeus with his Full Force finish and secure the win. (72) Segment 9: The post-match segment is a continuation of the chaos from the match. The babyfaces regroup but Money escapes unharmed with the title in hand while Jumbo & Nash continue their beefy boy brawl up the ramp and out of sight. Whitlock wasn't quick enough to escape and is surrounded by the good guys as he eats some finishers to 'pop' the crowd. It's unlikely the match will main event, despite being for the World Title, but the crowd are somewhat invested in Force vs Money in Force's potential last challenge ever. (78) Segment 10: Emily McQueen arises from the announce desk in a rare appearance of her cutting a promo. She hypes the arrival of a new duo to the women's division. The tag team of Rose & Lily who'll be here in the next few weeks. The fans weren't overly interested in the promo as they were cooling down from the previous match but Rose & Lily will be strong additions to the roster. They're a great tag team who were last plying their trade in AAA for a ten year stint. (45) Segment 11: Double backstage skits/segments here we'll couple together. The first was of Bulldozer, Valentine & Cage discussing their shared contendership and their agreement to cooperate tonight. The other was in another locker room with Thompson & The Undesirables giving themselves a pep talk and punctuating the importance of this match for what could happen on Saturday. Standard nonsense but entertaining stuff given the charisma of the six involved. (81) Segment 12: Bulldozer Brandon Smith, Casey Valentine & Roger Cage vs Joss Thompson & The Undesirables Really good 6-man action here which shouldn't be surprising given the quality of matches they've put on in different combinations over the past month. A mixture of brawling, technical and flashy aerial action made this up with storytelling and rivalry. The ending came when Callum felt he had the match won as he locked in the Honey Trap on Valentine who was submitting but he wasn't the legal man. Smith was and he evaded the chaos outside the ring, grabbed Callum and planted him with an emphatic Backdrop Driver for the win. (79) Segment 13: Jack Bruce vs Trent Shaffer A fantastic TV main event where we really got to see if Bruce can still go as people hoped he could. The answer is yes. Of course it helped having a star like Shaffer. A guy perhaps lost in the shuffle but can have a good to great match with anybody. Bruce looked in trouble at times but I don't think anyone ever actually thought he would lose here before Saturday. A New York Minute ended this affair to the delight of the crowd seeing Bruce in action. (82) Segment 14: Bruce drank in the adulation of the sell out crowd before addressing Perkins. He cut a promo stating that he's still the best in the business and that the 'God of Country' will fall to the 'God of Rock' on Saturday and he'll cut short JLP's USPW career before it even really gets started. The segment fell flat after the match and I understand trying to put the match over as a big deal but it hasn't caught the desire of the fans as the company has intended. A flat ending. (67) <div style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:6px solid rgb(0,0,0);"></div> Once again another consistently strong show for USPW and a great effort for their 'go-home' before Saturdays event that was only blemished by the underwhelming closing promo from Bruce but they can't all be winners. An 81 tonight. Not better or worse than last week but consistency is key. It's fun to notice though that every match tonight had a babyface victory which isn't always common for a 'Sports Entertainment' format. Four title matches and a couple of grudge matches make up the bulk of Saturdays card and on paper it should be a great show. Til next time friends, I'm Jo-Ro. 8. Another month of USPW action is building to a finale as we have arrived at the 'go-home' show of American Wrestling before Liberty & Justice on Saturday night. It was rare last week that we didn't see Nicky Champion or Steve Frehley at all including those associated around them. We do know that they'll meet at Liberty & Justice and that Champion will be in action this week as he takes on Frehley's muscle in Big Bubba. Champion has given himself quite the mammoth match before Saturday's Special Event and it's more than possible that Bubba could topple Mr. USPW. Charity Sweet hasn't been seen since her big win over Raven Robinson last month but has herself a match this week vs 'The Iron Lady' Jillian Jarvis. Sweet has made it clear on social media she has title intentions but so does Jarvis. Should be a good one. Four members of The Business will seemingly take on The Force & Natural Storm in what acts as the final piece of build up to this ongoing feud between the sides. The four way is set for Saturday with the National Title up for grabs but a six-man tag has been arranged for Wednesday with the three challengers in Bulldozer Brandon Smith, Casey Valentine & Roger Cage taking on Joss Thompson & The Undesirables. The main event will see a more official in-ring debut for Jack Bruce as he takes on Trent Shaffer before meeting Jerry Lee Perkins on Saturday night. As you can see it's going to be an action-packed evening with a lot to digest and more we've not announced we hope to see you there! This week's American Wrestling is in the books and it's time for our look back, assessment and recap of the show. Let's get into it. USPW American Wrestling emanated from Springfield, MA this week to 11,582 paying fans. The latest Reverie figures come through at 11,737,860 which is down somewhere in the region of 350,000 from last weeks show. Let's get into it! Segment 1: Another well assembled hype package recapping ongoing storylines within the company that was punctuated with appropriate levels of excitement from the broadcast team. The storylines of the National Championship, Champion & Frehley and Jack Bruce were the focus. Good start. (89) Segment 2: Jack Bruce & Enygma vs Heavy Duty Speaking of Jack Bruce he was supposed to be opening the show here but before the match began we saw the Bruce had been laid out backstage and it was 2-on-1 territory as Perkins joined the announce desk. The veteran Enygma did his best but a handicap vs two big heavyweights would be a struggle for anyone. The heels were in control but the crowd 'popped' when Bruce arrived, landed two New York Minutes on the duo and rolled back onto the ring apron. Enygma finished things bringing out a new flying double stomp from the top rope for the 3-count. Good match even if we were mostly cheated out of a real debut for Bruce. (70) Segment 3: Perkins was irked and hit the ring attacking Bruce from behind and throwing him into the ring steps. Enygma went to save but was stopped by Ducont and bullied around the ring. Classic post-match beatdown angle which continues to push the story forward. The company must be high on Perkins with this being his debut angle as I imagine everyone thought Bruce would be doing bigger things than this despite the Champion challenge. (67) Segment 4: Roger Cage vs Trent Shaffer The competition surrounding the National title picture and those guys in the upper midcard has been fantastic of late with the matches being the best on the show. This was no different. Both men with a point to prove and needing to bounce back. Cage succeeded this week finishing things via a brutal looking running knee bomb. Good win for Cage who's match quality has taken a big step up since January. (81) Segment 5: Best promo of the night goes to this segment. Cage cuts a promo requesting a shot at getting his title back. Smith confronts stating he recently beat Thompson and so deserves one first since Cage couldn't cut it. JT appears to say that he has more pressing matters tonight in the main event and these two chumps can sit and wait. Great work from all three. The fans ate it up and everyone is 'hot' in the company just now. Deservedly high score. (86) Segment 6: Promo time now in front of a pitch black backdrop with fire around them from Blackfyre Deville flanked by The Titans. Deville can talk but it will take time to catch on with fans but The Titans are still over and this promo hyping them and berating tag champs Flight & Might was solid all round and continues to build to the tag title match at Liberty & Justice! (66) Segment 7: Purple Viper vs Faith McGee This was three minutes of filler it seems with an excuse to continue showcasing Purple Viper after her big debut win last week. The issue is that the fans weren't into it and that's a big issue for USPW TV if the fans don't react. The match was underwhelming also. Easy win for Viper anyway. (24) Segment 8: The Force and D.C Rayne stand in the ring and call out The Business. Last weeks Cage match was still inconclusive due to interference and their sick of it. Rayne wants a fight with Big Josh Nash right now since Howard isn't here. Money accepts on behalf of the big man and sends Jack Jackson to ringside to accompany him. Good promo work all round. (73) Segment 9: D.C Rayne vs Big Josh Nash Solid TV match here from two men who are usually better suited to tag team action. It was a seven minute long whirlwind of a brawl with the big heavyweight Nash trying to ground and pummel the lighter and quicker Rayne. Inevitably Jackson got involved with the distractions, Force intervened to negate that but as Rayne tries to ignore the outside action he ascends to the second rope and attempts a diving crossbody which is caught by Nash and he plants Rayne with an emphatic Kronus Bomb for the win. (67) Segment 10: A post-match brawl ensues as Jackson escapes The Force and starts beating on the downed Rayne. Force looks fired up though but is attacked from behind by Money but he turns and 'no-sells' it. Screams in fury and starts clearing house like he's de-aged ten years. The heels are sent packing and Force declares he wants and is overdue a World Title shot. Money begrudingly accepts with a caveat. When Force loses he can never challenge for the World Title ever again under any circumstance. Challenge accepted. Fun angle. Maybe didn't have the impact hoped for but fans are still invested. (69) Segment 11: Melody vs Pariah vs Sara Marie There's a combination of about 5/6 female talents where you put any of them in the ring together and the match will be good at a minimum. 3 of them were on display here and laid it all on the line for fourteen minutes of great TV wrestling action. It seems that Pariah is going to be the champion sooner rather than later with how high the company and fans are on her but it's gonna be a bit longer yet. All 3 looked good but it was Sara Marie who got the pinfall over Melody to get her title match. It's good storytelling as Sara Marie still feels due a shot as she wasn't pinned in the triple threat at Stars, Stripes and Slams so now has her chance and it keeps Pariah solid whilst having to bide her time. Good stuff. (76) Segment 12: Alicia Strong comes out to congratulate her new challenger. Sara Marie says she hasn't forgotten about losing her one title run to Strong at Independence Day Slam back in 2018 and that the receipt is long overdue. It might not be the match the fans probably wanted but they're not any less hyped for this match-up. (78) Segment 13: Casey Valentine vs Joss Thompson An equal contender for MOTN this was an excellent back-and-forth TV main event. Thompson dominated for stages flexing his greatness as champion and drawing heat from the fans. Valentine had the classic comeback spots and everything clicked here. The match built to it's finale with a few close calls in the favour of the champion before attempting a Clean Cutter which was dodged by Valentine who got a backslide pinfall for the surprising 3-count and non-title win over the champion. (81) Segment 14: Thompson is furious and instantly attacks Valentine which brings out Bulldozer Brandon Smith to aid save his partner but Thompson is ready and hits a vaulting crossbody to the outside to take out the heavyweight. The crowd 'pop' again as Roger Cage now enters the fray and makes a beeline for the champion who at this stage ducks the clothesline attempt and retreats up the ramp to be joined and protected by The Undesirables. The announcement graphic flashes on the big screen that it'll be a fatal four way at Liberty & Justice for the National title to the delight of the crowd and dismay of the champion. The three challengers unite in the ring and hype the crowd as the show ends. Terrific closing angle. (86) <div style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:6px solid rgb(0,0,0);"></div> Another great show for USPW who are making it a habit now. There's a lot of moving parts in the company and on-screen but it's mostly being handled well. It's refreshing as well for the company that despite the World Title being featured and the newly debuting Jack Bruce the hottest stories in the company are revolving around the National and Women's Championships respectively. We've still one week to go of TV before the next big event but it's solid, consistent stuff from the biggest company in the world. As you'd hope for and expect. 81 overall for this one. 14. Coming to you live from Springfield, MA this Wednesday night will be another exciting evening of American Wrestling action courtesy of USPW! "The Rock God" Jack Bruce will make his official in-ring debut for USPW in tag team action alongside Enygma to take on the muscle of JLP in the form of Heavy Duty. It's probably not the manner in which we all thought we'd see Bruce debut but it's what we've got and it'll be an interesting encounter all the same. Trent Shaffer and Roger Cage both have something to prove in the aftermath of their losses at Red, White & Blue! and this contest will put one of them back on the right track. Purple Viper stunned the world last week with her debut victory over Jaime Quine to the fury of the former champion and will be in action again this week up against Faith McGee. The #1 contendership is also up for grabs in a triple threat at the request of Women's Champion Alicia Strong. Pariah, Melody & Sara Marie will all face off with the winner getting the title match at Liberty & Justice! Finally Joss Thompson, the recently crowned National Champion, has lost his only match since becoming champion when he fell to Brandon Smith a few weeks ago and so will be looking to bounce back as he goes up against Smith's partner Casey Valentine in singles action after Valentine & Smith defeated The Undesirables last week in tag team action. As you can see it's going to be an action-packed evening with a lot to digest and we hope to see you there!
