  1. <p>Forgot one thing...</p><p> </p><p> You can also place a high sex appeal popular wrestler with a high sex appeal low popular wrestler in angles or eye candy matches to give them their rub...</p><p> </p><p> That’s exactly how they booked Kelly Kelly with Brook and Layla. Literally after the storyline with Punk.</p>
  2. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="franticloser" data-cite="franticloser" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="48355" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>So what you are saying is if we book like WWF did with Sable, by having her show up with Mero and get more recognizable then her ratings will naturally do better then they would then if she was just one of Godfather's hos for the night? And on Menace, Chyna got over because she was a menacing looking woman, who hung out with Triple H. If she had just showed up and stared someone down, there would be small reaction but nothing else. It would take weeks to start building pop that way and have your angle be rated lower. By putting her with Triple H and inserting in the feud with Goldust and Marlene, it allowed fans to latch on quicker to her and helped carry the angles until she was over enough to carry them herself. It isn't useless it makes perfect sense when you compare it to the real world. Put someone who is unknown and no matter how sexy or menacing they look their first few times out there alone isn't going to do a lot of ratings. But if you pair them up with someone more over and let them leech off of that you can build them up so they can use their assets and their popularity for bigger ratings.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> Precisely. Oldest wrestling trick in the book.</p>
  3. But they do something lol. Maybe not at the rate you would like but it matter. It’s just that a person with sex appeal but with 0 popularity is less important than a person that someone actual wants to see...This is why you build popularity in the game. Sex appeal Menace Charisma (I’m not sure) Overness Are all non-action things that you can be rated on in angles and have a cap of 5 or so minutes if the angles are only based on those ratings. Let’s say I just hired an unknown model in the game and her sex appeal is 100. She sucks at wrestling so I’m not going to get her over by putting her in the ring. That’s fine, I’ll place her in a quick 4-minute angle based on sex appeal. She scores a 20. On a man that was horrible but probably would have been worse if she had a match. The idea, let’s make her a valet. She’s now a valet and when there is an angle with her new buddy, he’s rated on entertainment because he’s a talker. She’s rated on sex appeal. Segments do much better and she’s gaining popularity. Many shows later, she’s has enough rub from her buddy that people are familiar and fantasize about her. She can now hold her own segments and rate them on sex appeal and score high. Maybe even place her in some eye candy matches to benefit from the lust from the fans. In ECW, if Dawn Marie and Francine just randomly came to the ring and started fighting and stripping each other. Fans who laugh at the segment. These women were in hot storylines that got them over and people were invested in them to actually wanted to see them exposed... It’s the same situation for all the other non-action things that a person can get rated on. A menace shouldn’t score high just because he looks intimidating. Lol, imagine a random brute just walking to the ring and just stand there looking. If Fans were confused about the time Jericho ran around the ring without saying anything (charisma) I’m sure that they would be put off by a brute nobody. This is why you would rate him on fighting (attacking someone). Or place him with a talker and rate him on menace so he can get the rub to be able to pull off a stunt like that... Popularity is king in the game. This one trick pony model is only good at one thing, thanks to smart booking she now has enough popularity to be featured in the program to do that one trick...I can’t rate her on anything else other than overness but I’m better off just rating her on sex appeal because that would boost her grade in the segment if she’s has 100 sex appeal. That is hardly a “do not matter” it just doesn’t matter for a unknown person as it should. BTW Kelly Kelly is rated on Entertainment here because she’s talking (action) Segment is boosted by CM Punk’s Entertainment skills... https://youtu.be/jmHKMSKQz-I She was in a storyline with one of the best young talent in the company. Whether she’s rated on Entertainment or sex appeal, she’s getting the rub from that storyline.
  4. Grades for me. I don’t like number not even in football manager. I don’t want that level of detail. Grades can cover a range of numbers. This 45-75 things is hard to look at.
  5. Just like a popular wrestler with poor skills but decent enough basic would score higher than an unpopular technical master in an entertainment company...I really don’t see the point. If Rosanne is in a bikini (as if she’s any popular right now) showed up in a bikini, it would be a comedy considering she’s a comedian and should be rated on her best skill. I don’t really get these far out unrealistic comparisons.
  6. The more Road agents and Refs you have, the more chance of them being shuffled and you won't get the overwork note. So yea, if you are running a ton of angles but only have 1 or 2 road agents, he's going to feel overworked. Same with refs. This also depends on company size. An Agent or Ref can handle things himself even if it's a lot of matches or angles if it's a small scale company because it's less pressure on them.
  7. I’m not talking about the game at that point. What’s sexy to you might not be sexy to me. You compared a skill of long jump to sexiness.
  8. This should be available for angles too. It’s the missing relative to Stunt & Crazy Bump.
  9. Not really. We are in the world of wrestling. So we are looking at things in a wrestling & entertainment perspective. Besides, looks isn’t a skill, it’s all subjective.
  10. Those attributes are in the game for something totally different though. Dancing is a niche in the wrestling world so I am not sure why we need a attribute for it. That would fall under sex appeal and charisma tbh.
  11. Yea this would add to the immersion. I wouldn’t be mad if every Angle that involves any members of a stable list the stable name instead of the single wrestler.
  12. Yea I’m willing to bet Ronda would draw more attention in a bikini contest than Kelly Kelly (or insert your idea of sexy here) Because Ronda is more popular. I agree.
  13. <p>I believe it was 40/60 in TEW 2016 </p><p> </p><p> But that was with managers not gaining any popularity from simply being a manager of a popular worker.</p><p> </p><p> I can see how it can get OP when someone is actively gaining popularity from doing nothing but being at ring side then the ability to also put them in menacing or sex appeal segments that would rate high because their sex appeal/menace is high and popularity is actively growing.</p><p> </p><p> I’m not sure if there is a cap on the amount of rub a manager gets or if it should be a cap. That’s for another thread.</p>
  14. Like others said, you basically can’t rate Styles on overness “if he’s cutting a promo“ according to the handbook, overness is meant for off screen stuff like videos or short appearances where the worker is doing absolutely nothing in the segment.
  15. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Eastshire" data-cite="Eastshire" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="48383" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I just ran a too long promo from Nicky Champion. With the penalty, it only scored a 94. I think I can live with some penalties now and then.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Lol see the sky isn’t falling after all!</p>
  16. Val Venis had some sexy appeal stuff. I would say he qualify as ugly lol.
  17. Oh yea I forgot about that development change. That is probably why there isn’t any focus now.
  18. But she still was in programs that made people care about her it wasn’t the dancing... Do you really expect a 100 sex appeal 0 Popularity person to have a high enough rating to be one of the highest rated segment on a show? Those Kelly Kelly segments were minor angles at best... I’m sure if Vicki had a gimmick where she pranced around in lingerie, it still would rate higher than a unknown super model doing the same. Maybe not by much considering how you rate her but people would be more attentive to that that a random person. If both had the same popularity than of course the person with the higher sex appeal would win.
  19. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="djthefunkchris" data-cite="djthefunkchris" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="48355" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>The mud wrestling, the bikini contests, the wet t-shirt contests, etc... these are all coming from wrestling... and I'm not even getting deep. All based off of Pop?</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> And they are all done with females people care about.</p><p> </p><p> If that was a match between random females in the audience who were “hot” it’s a bathroom break for sure. There isn’t any connection there.</p><p> </p><p> Kelly Kelly Didn’t instantly get popular from her dances in the ECW shows</p><p> </p><p> Members from the Nitro girls didn’t start getting popular until that were in actual programs with wrestlers.</p>
  20. In those scenarios with getting popular, sex appeal wasn’t the main focus. Sable was associated with popular guys. In TEW 2020, managers can gain popularity for just being a popular worker’s valet. You can do angles that don’t have sex appeal as the main focus and it will do well. Same with menace. A good entertainer with either someone being rated on menace or sex appeal will do fine. People don’t care about anything they don’t have an attachment to. A random sexy female isn’t going to rate higher than a sexy female that everyone knows hence why it’s split with overness like that.
  21. I don’t think an artificial difficulty level or giving your company 5 billion or 0 dollars is a way to go about it. Just balance the financials and it will fix itself.
  22. With your logic you can’t say what’s fun or not. You have multiple people in this thread somewhat agreeing with the OP... Btw no one is saying it needs to be a grind or make it hard to make money. But it needs to be a balance. High income comes with high expenses. During the journal Adam mention that this was area that needed tweaking and as it seem with this thread it probably still does. After all we are still in beta... Misc expenses is a way to balance financials and if it’s too low it will unbalance the game...Again no one mention anything about grinding. WWE does make tons of money but as a titanic company I should be bleeding a lot of money due to expenses...WWE is swimming in money but they don’t have an infinite amount of throwaway money or else they wouldn’t have gutted half the roster recently. They cut expenses due to lack of income.
  23. Then there should be a sandbox mode. You make money in the game to buy wrestlers and other assets to compete with other companies...This game is more than a sandbox fantasy booker.
