1. Love the last two entries and there is still more to come on the subject! Here’s to hoping for the ability for some broadcasters to have their own studio venue to shoot in and give a company better production quality without having to come out of pocket for their own.
 2.

ahh is just me or i see tew2016 old now, that we hear from the new improvements for the new version.. i cannot see the game the same again..

Funny because once TEW 16 released people were saying that there isn’t much left to improve lol.

 3. And to maybe push a young worker but not yet place him in the main event scene to keep him humble (if that’s still a factor in the game)
 4.

I'd be willing to bet hard cash that there's going to be sorting. When Adam says that he's removing "related systems", that almost certainly means that he's taking out features that used to depend on your ability to choose a person's push- e.g. you won't be able to promise somebody in contract negotiations that they'll always be a Main Eventer. Instead, that'll probably be replaced with something else- that you'll book them strong, or to remain above X amount of momentum, or what have you. I'm sure Adam has a better view of the big picture than I do, for obvious reasons.

What I am curious about, though, is how you'll handle the non-wrestlers on the roster, for whom the drop-down menu actually made sense: how do you delineate which people are commentators vs. road agents, for example? And how do you handle people who fulfill multiple roles? It's not uncommon for a small fed to try and save some cash by using a wrestler as a road agent, for example.

And this is what people are hoping.

 5.

That is not true. A few people were definitely discussing the lack of roster sorting when booking shows. I think people jump the gun a bit when reading the journal since Adam is going through stuff aspect by aspect. We haven't gotten to the actual booking of shows/matches yet - and we don't know anything about it. Whatever changes have been made to match making, will be revealed on the update that is specifically about match making. At least, that's how the format seems to be.

I'd be stunned if there wasn't a way to sort the roster by perception while booking. But maybe the way to book matches has been completely overhauled, and won't be at all as it has been.

I’m sure we’ll be able to sort based on perception but that’s not what people were talking about. IMO the new feature is not a name change as someone mentioned. I don’t believe Major star = Main Event. I think the way the feature work is that a major star is someone the crowd can believe seeing in the Main event picture rather than an unknown and the ability to move the needle in both attendance and merch sales. Let’s say I have New Day on a hot streak with a great storyline and they all reach major star staus for the time being. I suspect that the crowd will accept them main eventing for now. But I instead would like to keep them on a midcard level. I know I can book them as such. I’m hoping for another factor that weight my options in doing so. Maybe they will accept the role or be alienated by it. I’m pretty much hoping for the option to let the backstage know what their place are on the roster and potentially asked to be booked higher and more frequent.

As for sorting, what if I had a roster full of major stars? Obviously everyone can’t be in the mainevent so I think people hoping that a screen that lets you visually see the shape of your roster isn’t jumping the gun considering it was said that the feature and anything related to it is gone (not revamped) when it came to card position/pushes.

 6.

I’m not sure I understand where this idea comes from that we could no longer sort our roster when booking.

Because no one actually said that. People are having a discussion about what they read and they read this:

So, first off, picking pushes from a list is totally gone, as are any related systems

 7.

I think very few people dislike the change. I have no doubt it’s a major change and will have a major impact formthe good. I just think it was much more helpful the way people were sorted on your roster. Hopefully it can still be sorted in a similar way.

The most over guys belong in the main event yes from a fans point of view. But this isn’t always the case for many reasons and the game will hopefully replicate this and give people situation where they have to go against what the fans appear to want.

I’m mean that’s what playing TEW is all about

Spot on to what I’m trying to say...

 8. That’s not the argument I’m making though. I’m agreed with someone who said some elements of the old way could be used. Sorting purposes and the ability to let a worker know what his role is currently. Push could also be used as promises for contracts. I’m not saying the old way is better, for all we know we can still do these things. There should be some elements of randomness with crowd perception and some politicking sometimes keeping you from always pushing the guy most over to the championship. Otherwise it would seem cookie cutter pushing who the crowd wants. I know I can push who I want despite crowd but why would I do that if It’s all negatives? I don’t play the game from a sandbox perspective. I enjoy risk/reward.
 9. Isn’t the new perception rating basically company specific popularity? From what we know, it sounds like it.
 10.

Love today's journal entry. I have a feeling this game will be so much different from TEW 2016 and may need some getting used to, but I don't mind it if it's for the better.
I can already see complains though from people who don't like change, but I hope the development team don't let themselves be swayed by this.

Yes, it seems like the crowd is running the show because it's realistic. Of course the fans decide who is over (by definition) and that's how it's been in the previous games, too.

I'm not watching WWE but if the WWE isn't putting their most over wrestlers in their main events, they're just being stupid. The most over guys belong in the main event because they are the guys people come to see or tune in to watch.

The game should simulate how all pro wrestling works, and not just centre around how WWE is operating.

Let’s not act the wrestling don’t have a history of politics and certain people getting to be chosen to reside on the top of the mountain...WWE was an example but we can take a history lesson on the entire business.

I don’t remember reading anyone saying that they dislike the change.

 11.

The problem existed, the announcement was intriguing and with some advantages, but the whole thing feels meh for some reason. More information might be needed. While this certainly creates the chance to replicate organic stuff and include everyone in the same system, parts of the old system should have been kept. Especially to do promises on contract negotiations as regarding to push.

But overall I love the concept. If it is well implemented it has potential. We were in need of a good entry like this one seems to be, or has the potential to be. I know things are vague now in most entries, but that is normal considering the stage at where the game is. Looking forward to see how this works.

I agree parts of the old syste should stay in some form.. I would hope or suggest that we can promise push level or workers can ask or demand to be pushed to a level. Like a unknown asking to be placed in the mid card scene or better yet a staff member suggests it. Or signing a big name FA and promising him nothing less than a main eventing no matter what the crowd perceive what he is.

From the little info we have, it seem like the crowd is running the show. Which is not a bad thing but it’s also one half of a puzzle. As we all know from watching WWE, being over with the crowd doesn’t necessarily mean you are main eventing.

 12.

Main eventers don't care about their actual placement on the card in TEW 2016. They only care about being used on the card. It can be anything from main event to opening match to referee to color commentator to 1 minute backstage skit.

I would like to see certain major stars (egos) complaint about not closing the show at a top PPV.

 13.

I'm thinking more that Zack Ryder would be fairly high up this new system, but would have a low push, and Jinder the opposite. I don't think either system is perfect, that's why I think combining the two might make an even better system. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Considering it’s affect by booking decisions, Ryder would be replicated by gaining popularity by himself but still not viewed as a serious player on the roster.

 14.

Today’s entry is great with one issue

First of all the way Adam has explained it sounds much more realistic. This is a massive change in the game and sounds like it’s for the better.

The only issue I have (there maybe something added that solves this) is that pushes being assigned actually helped me so much in terms of booking, knowing who was where on the roster and sorting my roster out. If I have a roster of just 20 major stars, I haven’t got 20 main eventers. Even thought the fans would buy it, the roster would still be structured to have openers etc.

Like I said there maybe another way to do it, but is there the possibility the old way of sorting your roster (and autopushes) could benthere, purely for arranging the roster? It wouldn’t be ‘visible’ to the world eg fans/workers.

Good point but we always can tag a worker into a category and separate like that. I feel like the need for staff feedback is even more of a hot commodity now. I can see myself going through a creative block on who to push and who to put on the mid card. Maybe there will be other elements to making such decisions...Will a roster full of major stars mean I have a roster full of main eventers?

 15.
I’ve beeen wanting some sort of overness rating that separates from popularity!

Fans can now reject Roman (poor booking) enough for him to not reach major star level (Cena) but yet still be one of the most popular guys on the roster.

Interesting to see how hard/easy it is to get a roster full of major stars. I hope how you book a specific gimmick plays a bigger role. Will a worker in a baby face role that’s book like a baby face but doesn’t perform well in that position, will he get over quickly if booked to win? A brute that isn’t being book like one but yet still win all of his matches in close fights, will he get over quickly?

 16.

I'm totally for this. It would be great if we could tell the road agent specific things that we are looking for and then they go scout the talent and then report back.

Let's say I'm looking for a female wrestler, between the ages of 20-25, who can play a specific gimmick. A week later, the scout comes back with like five women who fit my criteria.

I know we can do this on our own by just searching all the talent, however it would seem more real with something like this.

And out of the bunch that we usually come up with doing our own search, road agent could suggest a specific worker. More immersive. Nothing wrong with searching through talent both ways. It happens in FM.

 18.

This all sounds super cool. And maybe a combination of their personality and how many of their ideas you actually go through with could affect their morale!

I’ll be happy with just matchup suggestions based on certain criteria’s like chemistry, getting someone over, training, etc...

Speaking of chemistry, how about adding tag team chemistry? New Day and the Uso’s Always seem to work well together.

Being able to assign a creative team, I'd like to see more involved behind the scene staff. I want to make a writing team and have them pitch to me storyline ideas, I want a head road agent and a smaller team of road agents under that head and have them report issues with any talent. I want a creative team that suggests to me turns and possible gimmick changes. I want to be able to send scouts to other regions and have them come back with reports on possible talents I could sign and build and mold into stars. I want to be able to sign a head of security and get reports of anything out of the ordinary, this could be useful when other promotions try to use dirty tactics. Hell, even being able to appoint a senior referee would be cool. Even better if we did a brand split and each brand had it's own staff. I think all and all, I miss Sophie. Sorry if any of this has been posted before, I'm coming back from a extended stay in the hospital and haven't gotten around to reading all the posts yet.

It would be cool to be able to send road agents to scout talent. Agents giving suggestions would be great as well!

 20.

I'm kinda hoping for traits. I saw something like it in another game, I think Football Manager. Things like:

Home Town Hero: Slight boost to match rating in home area, less willing to job in home area. This would obviously work better if there was a home area setting pointing to a single region.

Showstopper: Slight increase in match rating when on big shows.

Bully: Slightly greater chance of minor injuries for opponent when wrestler's opponent is lower midcard, opening or enhancement.

Tempermental: Chance wrestler will take a hiatus or come down with an injury when booked to lose title.

Facepaint isn't cheap: Chance wrestler will ask for more money to appear on a big show.

We have attributes now so this kind of fall inline with those but not sure or clear on how attributes will work in TEW.

 21.

I hope the TV ratings are reverted back to the old way. Still to this day when running a TV show, I cannot stand getting ratings in the 20's. I hope they are separated out again by the country.

I also hope there is more consistency in agent notes and workers. For example, Randy Savage is known historically to be a fantastic non-scripted interviewer. It's pretty annoying to randomly get the report that "Randy Savage did not do well while trying to improvise dialogue." Workers are either good or not good at working without a script. Sure, some interviews or promos may not "click" as well as others but it could be relayed in a better way. Perhaps give them the note that they were "off their game" instead.

I have a strong opinion that think the consistency rating should effect other ratings outside of in ring. I.E. Mic, Acting heck even refereeing and psychology. Adds more variety and grey areas and not make things so black and white all the time.

 22. I think a creative skill would be more suitable as the user already have one in the game, but it currently only effect gimmick. What if every worker had their own Creative rating and it was expanded to effect angles as well as gimmicks if you gave the worker input or creative freedom.
 23.

I think Acting, Respect and (to a smaller extent) Psychology would be the skills most important for angle road agents. Curious if Adam can disclose details.

I was thinking a new creative rating that could also be used for other situations.

But acting, respect and maybe mic & psychology could play a role if not a new rating.

Curious to see what type of road agent notes there will be for angles and if we will see angle aims.

 24.

I'm very interested in the road agent notes for angles -- will this open up road agents needing to be skilled at different angle performances to help the angle ratings? I love the more variable angle ratings that make it harder to predict. It means I should have some angles that surprisingly suck and some angles that surprisingly are awesome.

Everything on one screen will be nice.

Will the interface for how we select workers be more like selecting them for a match (where you can see your whole roster and pull from there?) or will it continue to be the straight drop down menu?

I hope so. I feel like this is the best way to attack creative teams...Treat them like road agents. It would be cool to see some sort of “Creative” rating for workers. That rating could have multiple uses I.E. angles and gimmicks for workers who and their own input.
