  1. Thank you for the compliments, guys! It was genuinely one of the twists (many more to come along the way ;)) I was most excited to pull off and write about for your enjoyment. Subtle foreshadowing was aplenty, and I hope you guys picked up on the cues and it didn't come TOO much out of nowhere; still good that it was a surprise! My main goal with this double turn was to create reasons for all three of the members to hate each other, rather than the direction they went with in real life separating Roman Reigns entirely from the feud right away. That doesn't work for me brother. And I also didn't want to copy real life in Seth Rollins being the brass' darling; to me, it would have made just as much sense if the golden boy in Roman Reigns, the one Hunter and Stephanie would like running the show as a final favor to the legacy of Vince McMahon, was the chosen one. It also made a lot of sense to me that the cocky Rollins would not see the double cross coming since his head is too far up his ass. I knew I didn't want Ambrose in that role since the dude is the babyfaciest babyface who's ever babyfaced when he's got set goals to accomplish (even though I would LOVE to read someone else's project where they explore the possibility of Ambrose being the one who turns!). So it all just connected. I could have just...not done a turn this soon as well, which I considered. But this conflict, no matter when it'd begin, was always supposed to be one of the driving forces towards the endgame of the overall narrative. So might as well build on it as much as possible. I hope you guys enjoy my take on a proper feud between all three sides of the Shield. You know there will be hell to pay for all sides involved. NXT, SD and Heat coming right up! EDIT: I do have to add that I have ONE regret pulling this off, however...and that is, it completely overshadows the Jericho turn! That is definitely unfortunate, at least in my point of view. I always craved writing '08-10 heel Jericho (or akin to that) so I basically turned him for that vanity project and because he was going nowhere as a face fast. In retrospect I wish I could have delayed his turn so it'd get the proper shine it deserves.
  2. I don't think it's all a work. It would be too much effort to benefit literally no one.
  3. The one he had yesterday against Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship at the Clash!
  4. Street Profits Bobby Lashley Damian Priest Asuka Seth Rollins
  5. Amped up for this one! Very interested in your take on The Judgment Day with Edge returning; I wonder if HHH resents Vince for the fast tracked face turn he pulled before resigning as the stable had a ton more legs with Edge as leader still. Best of luck
  6. Can we all just be friends? I'm not the biggest AEW guy in the world, but I'd be remiss not to know how ass backwards it'd be if I came out here when everyone is having a good time about their latest show and I tried to bog down their mood with criticism. Something something stop having fun meme. Sure, you're entitled to your opinion no matter how positive or negative, but there is definitely a thing called reading the room. On the other hand, going at the negative dude's throat will only make you seem wrong alongside him, and it does also make it seem like AEW is a sacred cow when it comes to criticism which is half of the problem for the people on the outside looking in. And yes, I know you guys said otherwise numerous times, but the appropriate course of action would have been to just ignore him in my estimation. Seriously, I come in here looking to discuss and read up on the latest events with good folks (more the latter when it comes to this specific thread since I don't really possess enough knowledge of AEW to give good overall feedback without feeling like an idiot), not to bear witness to this name calling, Cornette wife fucking back and forth that will help no one and will undoubtedly end with one or more people being disciplined for it.
  7. Oh don't get me wrong, I am deathly afraid of that being the plan. I'd maybe take double duty from Roman at Mania, I don't see how else they will pull some BS to separate the titles which really needs to be done with the influx of talent returning/coming in. We'll see.
  8. Pillman Sr. is my favorite wrestler of all-time so I really only root for his son so his legacy may live on but he's not the same for sure 😕
  9. What a show. One of their greatest in years. The Intercontinental title actually means a damn again...feuds are based on dudes just wanting to beat the hell out of each other...and well, sad for Drew, but this basically confirms Cody is the guy once he's back. Stellar wrestling all night.
  10. OOC: THERE WILL BE NO IMMEDIATE NXT FOLLOW-UP TO THIS EPISODE OF RAW BECAUSE...WELL, YOU'LL SEE ''Delta'' WWE Monday Night Raw June 2nd, 2014 XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut OC: Michael Cole, Renee Young and Joey Styles Rating: B+ Evolution opens up the post-Over the Limit Raw. That is, with the glaring absence of ''The Animal'' Batista. Triple H, sledgehammer in hand, explains that as Batista taking his ball and running home after his loss to Daniel Bryan the previous night. He says it's unfortunate how he couldn't put The Shield's warped beliefs to sleep for good last night, but tonight was a whole different night. Randy Orton, still taped up due to his injury, challenges Roman Reigns to a one-on-one match on tonight's main event; he won't wait for a reply, he'll be there and expect Reigns to do the same. Hunter says Over the Limit was an unfortunate night for Evolution as a whole, and that was in great part due to the lack of action from a party that can't act in the elite's best interest any longer. The Game turns to Ric Flair, who becomes speechless as he does so, and says that it's with a heavy heart that he is relieving Flair of his duties being of any help towards future success of the Evolution or the regime. He says Flair had failed to guard Randy Orton from this injury and to ensure Batista would have remained in the fold, so he hasn't been of any help recently. As Flair starts tearing up, Hunter says Ric is better off coddling his daughter in NXT and feeding her advice on how to move on towards the future, but that Evolution is involved in too much to depend on him right now. As Flair departs tearfully, Hunter says there will be a match tonight between Randy Orton and Roman Reigns, and that with or without Batista and The Nature Boy, the superior side will prevail. Why? Because there's always a plan B. Jericho explains his actions from the previous night as having fallen out of touch with what was truly important to himself. He says The New Day woke him up to how badly Chris Jericho had become too enamored with the glamour of the reaction from the masses once again. But no longer would he suffer from that disease. Chris Jericho was going to remind every single man in the locker room why he was the greatest wrestler to ever step foot in the ring, if they understood what he was saying to them. He says the loss to Fan-damn-go was the breaking point, and he had to come out of that a changed man, or else he'd be looking at retirement, and none of the parasites would care the least about that, since all that they'd be doing was singing the stupid idiot's song nonstop. Christian comes out and condemns Jericho for his actions, telling him that they could have done so much more together. Jericho disagrees, and tells Christian he will continue to suffer as long as he works in favor of supporting these leeches again; he would lose tonight against CM Punk, he would lose every big match the rest of the way. He reminds Christian of when he stopped caring about them for just a second, and became World Heavyweight Champion in the process; he says this would be the case for Chris Jericho; he had gone just an inch from being King of the Ring the previous year, and now he would succeed in showing the parasites his superiority towards the rest of the field. Before the King of the Ring First Round matchup between Alex Riley and John Cena, the former cuts a promo on how his beliefs were proven correct the previous night at Over the Limit; he says even amidst boos from the Cena faithful, he had kept to his word and that he had challenged Cena to simply show himself at Over the Limit. He says that he would now be forced not to team up with best bro Zack Ryder anymore, but that he hopes this sacrifice hadn't been made in vain; that Ryder would have seen just how selfish John Cena could get when things came down to a personal achievement vs. a friend who hadn't achieved ANYTHING spectacular in his career. Curt Hawkins and Trent Barreta come out, nodding at everything Riley had said beforehand. They say they had observed this story pretty closely, and that they agreed with everything coming out of Riley's mouth. Hawkins says he knew Ryder deep down ever since the two were kids, and that he felt he'd show his true colors once pressed. He says he and Riley might have been forced not to team anymore, but if the four of them joined forces, they could be unstoppable even if the two never teamed up directly again. Riley looks curiously as John Cena comes out, interrupting the entire ordeal. After Rusev and Lana unleash another round of their usual tirade against the United States in favor of Mother Russia, Big Show comes out and interrupts the duo, talking about how until then, Rusev had not picked up a fair fight with someone his size; and asks how he'd fare against a giant that had been roaring for a new, willing opponent. Lana dismisses Show as someone whose prime had passed a long time ago, not worthy of being crushed by the hero. Show says he could change her stance with a single swing of a punch, bringing Rusev to claim Big Show was a coward who could never stabilize himself to one side in a war, ever. He claims if the two ever faced off one on one, Show would be easily crushed. Show asks how Rusev has been so easily scared of the WMD if that is so, before Lana slaps him in the face. Show remarks that as the greatest mistake the two have ever committed, and as Rusev charges at the giant, Show knocks him out with WMD! This is the first time that Rusev has looked vulnerable in a WWE ring! Backstage, Miz and Morrison check on the banged up Becky Lynch in the emergency room, asking her about her status after Over the Limit. Becky says she should have seen that coming, Stephanie and her lapdog pulling every trick in the book necessary to keep the title intact at the hands of miss Macho. Becky says there is only one reason why they could have pulled that off when Kaitlyn was up against her, and that was fear that she actually stood a threat to Kaitlyn's title reign. Becky says she will be back soon, and when she did, she'd prove that karma was a bitch; after that, she'd be back in the title hunt, whether the bastard princess liked it or not. Renee steps to the ring to interview Sheamus after the match, the WWE's penultimate King before this year's rendition of the tournament. Sheamus guarantees that he'll pull the feat once more, before warning Chris Jericho that if their paths were to cross during the tournament, that he'd make that SOB regret his life decisions as he once again kicked his teeth off of his mouth as he did two years ago when the two met at the Royal Rumble. WWE Champion AJ Styles comes out to the ring next, celebrating on how he finally beat a longtime issue connected to his career in Austin Aries at Over the Limit. He's quickly interrupted by the New Day, with Xavier Woods sarcastically congratulating AJ on his title defense, before claiming that one man who's had his opportunities unceremoniously ripped away from his hands in Kofi Kingston was undoubtedly next in line for a WWE Championship opportunity, having been disqualified from the King of the Ring tournament for simply showing Randy Orton who truly belonged in the ring when push came to shove. AJ says he would happily put his title up for grabs against Kofi if he were to show him he deserved it, and then DOLPH ZIGGLER jumps the latter from out of nowhere! Having been attacked by The New Day at Extreme Rules, Ziggler is embroiled in a fist fight with Kofi as his New Day comrades struggle to separate the two, and when they are finally able to do so, Ziggler is long separated from the fracas. Styles watches on from the ring, WWE Championship in hand, this issue has been resurrected here on Raw!

  17. WWE Over the Limit 2014 June 1st, 2014 Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois OC: Jim Ross, Michael Cole and Booker T Rating: B+ Good Ol' JR, Michael Cole and Booker T welcome everyone to one of the most loud and vocal arenas in the WWE, on a night where men will prove to what point they're willing to go to reach personal success, and in order to avoid major negative repercussions in their careers. ''WE'RE HERE.'' Backstage, Miz and Morrison are thrown some gatorade on top of their heads by the third part of the Dirt Sheet trio in Becky Lynch, congratulating them on their big win. Miz and Morrison thank her, before pep talking her that they know she will make great use of her first major opportunity later tonight, and thank God for that, because no one likes anything or anyone associated with Stephanie McMahon. Becky embraces the champs, vowing to join them in the celebration later tonight, and that she'd make Kaitlyn submit in order to become the new Divas Champion. Renee Young is backstage with the two halves of a match that was confirmed for the King of the Ring during the Kickoff Show, the Cruiserweight Champion Alex Shelley and his next challenger, a returning Chavo Guerrero! Renee asks the two men about what they are feeling heading into this unique match in 4 weeks. Shelley says he came to the WWE to show he's the king of the cruiserweights. He'd certainly welcome a challenge from someone who was a part of one of the greatest wrestling families, but that didn't change anything come King of the Ring. He'd pull double, triple, quadruple duty and both retain his title while also winning the prestigious tournament. Chavo says it had been 3 years, and when Vickie made the call to him, he seized the moment. He says the Guerreros are warriors of the ring, and he would seek to make his familia proud by once again being crowned the Cruiserweight Champion at the King of the Ring. The International Sensation Sin Cara comes to the ring, not having a match tonight, but requesting that Rey Mysterio come face to face with him in the ring. The dejected Mysterio does indeed answer the call, but dismissing Cara by telling him there's nothing else to be said. Cara says there definitely is, Rey just has to tell him what he can do in order to help him regain his form, and Rey tells him to invent a time machine if that is the case in order for him not to make the wrong decisions and be forced to pair up with Alberto Del Rio. Cara says the things Rey did while with Del Rio are nowhere near as impactful as everything he did before that. He says that's what his fans look back the most fondly upon, and he knew Rey had more left in the tank in order to create even more magic. He just had to find it in himself. Rey says he doesn't see how that can be possible, requesting that Sin Cara stop going after him to try and revitalize his career, all good things must come to an end and all his will had been swiftly sucked from inside him by Cara, Del Rio and the whole lot of them. Cara says he knows this is not Rey Mysterio talking, and says he will find a way to make him see that as well. He says one way or another, he was going to force the true Rey Mysterio to find his way back to the spotlight.
  18. OOC: I'll be trying a strategy of separating Kickoff and Main Shows for the time being since it may be quite confusing otherwise. WWE Sunday Night Heat June 1st, 2014 (part of the Over the Limit Kickoff Show) OC: Josh Mathews, Byron Saxton and Matt Striker The Over the Limit Kickoff Show is as always brought to you by the analyst panel, led by Renee Young! This time, she's once more accompanied by WWE Hall of Famers ''Rowdy'' Roddy Piper, ''The Million Dollar Man'' Ted DiBiase and JBL! Renee runs down the card on a night where friendships will be tested, one of two longtime rivals will prove superiority over the other as they force them to say I Quit, and we might see the final night of Batista as a competitor in the WWE. First of all, the panel laments Xion's unfortunate cancer diagnosis as Renee says they wish to see him healthy and 100% in that WWE ring as soon as possible, sending all the love to him, his family and fans. She runs down each man for them to pick their favorite match of the night. Piper says he had seen firsthand what an unbreakable will a Steamboat possesses, so his eyes were most certainly going to be glued to that ring once Ricky's kid entered the den of Rusev. Sure, everyone who had challenged the brute thus far had gotten their teeth kicked in, but he had seen crazier, and if this was Richie's old man, Rusev would be in for the fight of his life. That should definitely be enough motivation for Richie Steamboat to bring his A game tonight. JBL says he's got his attention on the World Heavyweight Championship bout, as he's been in the ring with The Animal multiple times throughout his career and bore the brunt of his punishment in big time situations. He says Daniel Bryan has had a wonderful run so far, but if Batista got just a slight bit of momentum in his favor tonight, JBL feels we could have a new champion, a reminder of just why Batista is such a dangerous competitor and a multi-time world champion. DiBiase picks the handicap match between John Cena and Alex Riley & Zack Ryder, stating that you can just feel the conflict in the three men's eyes. He says Zack Ryder has scratched and clawed to earn such an opportunity of this caliber again, and now that he did, it would be nothing but stupid to give it up in favor of a one-sided friendship with John Cena. As for Cena himself, DiBiase knew he wouldn't hold back either, because everyone's got a price, and Triple H had named Cena's in this match's stipulation. His ego just would not allow him to lose to two men who in his mind, were so much lower in the totem pole than he is. Even moreso when the stakes have been raised for this year's King of the Ring, and the word everywhere is that Cena really wants the crown. Renee then directs us to the ring, it's time for the Vickie Guerrero Cruiserweight Invitational! We are back to the analyst panel of Renee, Hot Rod, DiBiase and JBL next, with Renee staring speechless at what just took place. She asks if any of the men had a clue in the world that Chavo Guerrero was going to be here tonight and that he would be the winner of it all. JBL says he knows Chavo Guerrero and he is a man who's always just needed that one chance to break through the glass ceiling. He says he has aged like fine wine, and as soon as that music hit, he knew Chavo had become the favorite to win it all as he would have predicted if he had known beforehand. Hot Rod says that Chavo has inherited his uncle's willingness to do whatever it takes to come away with the win, and he could not wait to see him in that ring again to see what these extra years of experience had taught him. With that, Renee welcomes their special guest of the night, a hometown hero, a man who once had an intense rivalry with Chavo Guerrero, and who tonight will be facing his former advocate Paul Heyman's prized client Drew McIntyre, former multi-time world champion CM Punk! Punk thanks Renee and the panel for having him, as the Chicago crowd goes ballistic with CM Punk chants. Renee asks Punk if he feels in any way that if not tonight but eventually, age will catch up to him and allow a man like Drew McIntyre to capitalize and make a name for themselves off of Punk's back. Punk says eventually the time for that to happen always comes to all of them, see the three men in the panel with him right now (leading to all three to stare at each other in insult). But he says that time was not tonight or any time soon. He says he just came off of an 868 day WWE Championship run, and Drew McIntyre had been looking to piggyback off of the immediate fallout of that by pretending that all that time, Punk had disrespected him as the golden boy that McIntyre is, having been promised anything and everything by Vince McMahon when he was still here. Punk says he wants to tell McIntyre something, and that is, he never disrespected him when they were associates. The fact of the matter is, he never paid any attention to McIntyre period. This chosen one narrative is the same one that's been used with Hogan and Cena, but at least these men had the capability to captivate audiences, as gullible as these audiences may have been. McIntyre was still deeply unproven in every step of the way, well tonight, he'd get a taste of the big time when he'd get in that ring and listen to 18 grand fans booing him the hell out of his (Punk's) building, only he will stop hearing that by the end of their match, because he would be put to sleep for good, and that is a guarantee. Punk says he never pegged Paul Heyman for a guy who'd place his bets on hype, rather someone who'd do that based on results. Well, results were here to shove his bet down the drain. He says after he's done taking care of these loose ends with Heyman and McIntyre, he would be able to focus entirely on winning this year's King of the Ring tournament, as he should due to his part as the best wrestler in the WWE today. After that, he would then look to become a world champion once again, because that's just what CM Punk is, a winner, a champion, a man who tells you exactly what he will do and exactly what will happen. The Allstate Arena again gives a thunderous reaction to their hometown hero CM Punk, and as he turns from the panel to open his arms and bring their reaction to an apex, Renee thanks him for his time, and tells the fans to tune in to the WWE Network for Over the Limit, next!

  20. oop I just read this addendum from you and I don't know how long term planning and my other tips would work with L2G as it's not my sort of game to personally play so I do apologize. I will definitely keep an eye out for a project of yours though no matter the nature!
  21. Honestly the best piece of advice I can give you is to come up with a long overarching storyline you'll write everything else around. That's how I motivate myself to continue writing as I want to finish telling the story instead of just blindly moving forward with no longterm planning just because I like the company and/or the timeframe. That's also how I like reading my diaries, those that have an ambitious endgame put in place and are clearly building towards something. With my own writing that does mean I hit a few forks on the road as it's almost OCD like that I want to double check everything and make sure it all lines up and makes sense overall for the story around it and the characters. Quality over anything else. Maybe that filter is too much for people since I have not really gotten comments on specific character/story likes and dislikes yet, but I'll just keep plowing through and hope I earn their trust. As for format, I think I've come up with a simple enough format for the new forum where I place the matches under quotes and the angles are written in high detail around them and the words are colored according to the show's scheme (Raw in red, SmackDown in blue, NXT yellow etc). In these forums, it's big to put the matches under quotes since after a short amount of writing the quote needs to be expanded to be shown, so all the matches are basically under a spoiler tag which I find to be a really sweet feature. Most of the comments in there are praising the format so I assume I've done a good job with that lol. Don't worry about the length, write as much as you're comfortable writing. But definitely feel out the game and make sure you've got something good going with that save before making a diary out of it, since most of the diaries I see dying early (including my own early ones) are ones that have no clear goal in mind. Which is fine, as long as you're just doing it for fun. But if you have a story you want to tell, make sure you fall in love with it yourself first of all. Adding to Strech's tip of adding an end date, that is also huge as it prevents the story from getting stale for the writer. And yeah, feel free to drop me a PM if you want to discuss this further, I'm mostly around.
