WWE WrestleMania XXX April 6th, 2014 Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana OC: Jim Ross, Michael Cole and Jerry ''The King'' Lawler Meltzer Rating: A+ (100) WrestleMania XXX opens to a shower of ''YES!'' chants right at the onset from the sold out Mercedes-Benz Superdome, as Jim Ross talks about the epic history of the big event, and how history will undoubtedly be made here tonight as well! The show opens with Hulk Hogan rallying up the fans in the crowd with his usual posing, the celebration starting early on with the man who main evented the very first edition of WrestleMania! Hogan welcomes all the Hulkamaniacs here tonight in the Silverdome, bringing laughs from the audience, as he realizes his mistake, and says it must be the air in the building here tonight, because it feels like it was yesterday that he bodyslammed Andre the Giant and 93 thousand Hulkamaniacs screamed out of their lungs and helped make WrestleMania as big as Andre was, man! Hogan says tonight, one man will honor Andre's legacy and be tied to it for the rest of his career, while many others will also have the opportunity to be immortalized in the history books. This is WrestleMania, dude, and it's for all the marbles! The Superdome erupts once more as the SmackDown Sheriff makes his way down to the ring, asking the audience if they can feel it, if they can smell it...the pure electricity in the air that is only possible at WrestleMania. The Rock says that The Rock and Hulk Hogan together in one ring is a phenomenon only brought together by this season, and they are here to have some fun with all the fans here tonight, because FINALLY, THE RRRRRRRRRRRROCK HAS COME BACK...TO THE SILVERDOME. The fans laugh once more, as Rock has a riot at Hulk's expense. Rock says that this calls for more, and says The Rock thinks someone is missing, a certain drunk, bald jabroni, and Hogan agrees, but says he'll find another way to kick ass here tonight! Rock says that The Rock and Hulk Hogan owe it to The People to start this one off on the right foot, but this night isn't about them; it is about all The People who will feel the magic and head straight down to SmackDown Hotel by the end of the night, and says 9 months from now, we will be selling The Rock bibs to The People's babies. He tells Punk not to be proud and allow the waves to take their natural course against AJ Styles. Punk says if there's one thing no one can stop him from being is proud. He says that Paul should rest assured AJ Styles will learn his place tonight, and if Paul is smart, he will know his as well. Backstage, Renee Young asks Curtis Axel a simple question: how will he get past Triple H tonight. Axel says his father could never have a true WrestleMania moment in his legendary career, but he has the chance to rectify that by writing his own chapter tonight and pave the way for future generations of his family as well. So to answer her question, he would bring years of studying his craft to the table tonight and make his father proud. Tonight, the genesis begins.
