  1. BREAKING NEWS

    7RDe5yT.jpgnm0bMIc.jpg

Word coming out of WWF Towers is that both Hawk and The Texas Tornado turned up to the latest show and wrestled under the influences of drugs.

The Texas Tornado was only on the pre show, but his behaviour has annoyed some backstage, however he is apparently happy at Vince McMahon's decision to send him to rehab. A move which is expected to keep him off screens for the foreseeable future.

On the other hand Hawk wasn't pleased at all to have been sent to rehab. What this will also mean for his tag partner Animal as word backstage was the Legion of Doom were in line for a sizeable push in the build up to Wrestlemania throwing these booking plans out the window.

    WWF Superstars

    Thursday Week 1 January 1991

    Izod Center (Tri State)

    Attendance - 20,049 (Sell out)

    Broadcasting Rating - 4.26

The show opened with our announcers Gorilla Monsoon, Lord Alfred Hayes and Roddy Piper welcoming WWF President Jack Tunney and his new assistant Vince McMahon to the ring. Tunney announced that at the Royal Rumble WWF Champion The Ultimate Warrior would come up against his largest test to date when he would face the monster Earthquake, much to the crowds delight! [73]

Legion of Doom V The Bushwakers

    7RDe5yT.jpgwJcQIq8.jpgV BZEqJGw.jpgi0SsYF1.jpg

The first contest of the night took place between the Legion of Doom and The Bushwakers. A fairly short match was dominated by the LOD with Animal picking up the win over Luke after hitting the Doomsday Device. [62]

Next out came Mr Perfect with his manager Bobby Heenan claiming he was growing tired of the bums in the back and issued an open challenge to anyone who thinks they could take on perfection and beat him for his Intercontinental title. [86]

Gorilla Monsoon quickly sent some cameras to the back stage area where the father son duo of Dusty and Dustin Rhodes were laid out with the Nasty Boys stood over them yelling that they weren’t welcome in the WWF as the Nasty’s run this place. [91]

Mr Perfect w/Bobby Heenan V Tugboat

    Intercontinental Title Match

    zSn9fPI.jpgVTquPJj1.jpg

Mr Perfect’s open invitation was answered by Tugboat much to the crowds delight. The crowd were firmly behind Tugboat in this back and forth match, however after a grueling 9 minute plus match perfection was too hard to over come and Mr Perfect picked up the win, and retained his title with a flying forearm. [73]

Earthquake w/Jimmy Hart V Hacksaw Jim Duggan

    CwBTm8D.jpgVK8MNo9p.jpg

The final contest of the evening was between number one contender Earthquake and Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Duggan was able to drum up massive USA chants through out the match. The commentators pointed out that The Ultimate Warrior might be strong, but would he be able to lift the giant Earthquake at Royal Rumble? Quake’s size proved too much for Hacksaw, and to a chorus of boos he hit a devastating big splash to pick up the 1,2,3 and build up some momentum for his up coming title match. [71]

Just as the show was about to go off air Sgt Slaughter was seen in the back addressing a room of 6 men, all sat at desks listening to him. He thanked them all for their application to join the Anti American Association. He pointed to a stack of paperwork and said these were the latest applications of those who also wanted to join the Triple A. He picked up half the paper applications and threw them in the bin stating he didn’t want anyone that unlucky working for him! He tossed two black armbands with AAA printed in red on the table in front of the men. He bellowed this is where their journey begins in taking out Triple A enemy number 1 and he slammed a knife into the back of the door as he left the room. He shouted to the men, “COME AND JOIN ME WHEN THERES ONLY TWO OF YOU LEFT”. The men got to their feet and begun to roll up their sleeves as the camera panned across to reveal that the knife had been slammed into a poster of none other than All American Hulk Hogan! [100]

    Overall rating - 83

  5. I’m not sure if the mechanics of giving bonuses. But I wish there was a way you could offer money as soon as you book the match. There are some rare storyline reasons you book a main eventer losing to someone low down to the card. But it would be nice to communicate the reason or offer cash straight away. Also depending on their character type they might be happy taking the L and a load of cash. Or they might still be unhappy with you.
  6. As I see it, there's two valid booking approaches and two ridiculous ones that idiots who run billion dollar companies use.

You've got storylines dominant, booking decision dominant, then you've got fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants, and "Cutting Edge, bro"

I'm most definitely the last one, I mean some combination fo the first two depending on whether I get a storyline idea or the booking idea first. Sometimes I have it mapped out years in advance, other times im going week-to-week until I hit an overness, momentum, or skill goal. It's really just about the situation. I'm very flexible.

I wish I could be more flexible. I’m honestly like Vince McMahon too much. If someone is organically getting over, sorry buddy if you’re not part of my planned pushed then tough luck! I need to try and be a bit less rigid with what I do. I tend to play wwf historical mods where you build to the big four ppv’s so I do like planning those big pay offs in advance.

  7. <p>Quite often, especially with current day mods if I play as wwe I’ll play without face and heel divide. Mainly because I don’t think how the game works replicates how faces and heels are now a days. Especially with modern wwe as quite a lot of guys will move between heel and face quite fluidly. I also think it’s hard to replicate how things like a guy like Kevin Owens who obviously is positioned as a heel but gets cheered for example or Roman reigns who is a mega face yet is booed works. In the past I wrote an ECW dynasty and turned the divide off. But that was mainly because it was more about the stories I wanted to tell. I didn’t want the penalties and difficulties that come with having heels and faces brings when it wouldn’t have had any effect on what I wanted to do. But that was mainly because how I run the company meant guys were moving between face and heel quite often for storyline purposes and the game doesn’t much like that. </p><p> </p><p>

However if I play c verse or older mods I’ll leave the divide on as think it works properly then.</p>

I'm a bit of a perfectionist/completest and as my wife would surely tell you I don't take criticism well. I know this is the exact opposite attitude of what someone building a modern day mod that the data changes underneath you on each release should undertake, and I'll admit that I had a bad day.</p><p> </p><p> ————-</p><p> </p><p> <strong>To Rainmaker,</strong></p><p> You seem like a good dude with the same goal in mind as me, making Japan feel like it does in real-life. Anyone that brings in Kento to NJPW and puts him is over is a good brother in my book. I can't echo enough that I generally agree that WWE folks need to brought down overall in the mod for Japan pop, and it's on a very long "to-do" list for me going forward.</p><p> Me saying that "I'm out" on the next release is much more a reflection of where I am personally than anything you said or did in the thread, and to be honest was not really directed at you in any way but more-so a commentary on some of the comments in the thread at large. If I made you feel in any way that me opting out of the next release was to due to you, I apologize, as it really wasn't. (This was bound to happen as I'm a self-professed Kawada fan, so the Misawa-Kawada fued continues...)</p><p> </p><p> —————</p><p> </p><p> However, I've seen this road in Fleisch's/TheWho87’s releases previously where there is an expectation/sense of "owing" people perfect data that creeps up in Real World Mods more than any other. The expectation of everything being "right" is way too much for any one person to handle, and besides today, I feel like I have handled it pretty well.</p><p> </p><p> However, when people leave comments like "I'm kind of pissed that" or "sorry to say this" etc... it eats away at you after dumping 400+ hours into a mod that you are just trying to keep going after the great foundation Fleisch has built for this thing. We are all trying to do our best to serve the community at large, no one is trying to sabotage or put out bad data. I was pretty clear that I viewed last Friday's release as a WIP one, but apparently that didn't resonate they way I hoped.</p><p> </p><p> Anyway, to anyone I freaked out I apologize. I'm just trying to make this thing great for all. If you'd like to help, get in the boat and row with me.</p><p> </p><p> I'll continue to make edits and hand this back over to the king, Fleisch, and I'm sure he will make the April release a great one.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I can imagine the negative comments do chip away at you.</p><p> </p><p> I will say I've never commented on here before, but I really enjoy this mod, played it loads always blown away by the level of detail and effort that has gone into it. I guess there are probably lots of us using this mod that don't take the time to give the thanks it deserves.</p>

I'm booking my self made Fed's PPV and I have a question about vacating a title. Heather Vendetta and Heidi Brooks are my reigning womens world tag champs. They've made 6 or 7 defenses before Heather Vendetta gets a spinal column injury and is set to miss 10 months. Vendetta was having a banner year and had won a couple titles and tourneys that I had run - figured she was working up to a World title run.<p> 1. This is my first encounter with this type of injury in my Fed. It sounds pretty serious, do the workers recover well from this or are their sizeable penalties to their stats after this?</p><p> 2. Since she is going to miss so much time, I wanted to put the title on another team. Does it make a difference if I vacate the title or just have two teams face each other for it, with the winner taking the title?</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> If the teams can face each other does that mean she can still wrestle despite her injury? You could try and just protect her for the time of the injury. </p><p> </p><p> Also I believe the difference is if you vacate the title the history will show itveaa vacated in the title history rather than one reign to the next. What I’ve done when I had a similar issue is had a “match” as an angle. So basically in the angle it lasted the length of a match wth the injured wrestlers team losing the belts as you can have a title change in an angle.</p>
