Jennifer Heat wins. Gee, there’s a surprise… Rating: C- Main Show The show begins with a first round match of a 4-man tournament to determine the second competitor for the UFW Intercontinental title! Oscar ends the match with his furious super kick finisher, appropriately named the…golden…shower…for the pinfall victory. Oscar really should change the name of that finisher...it's just so wrong on multiple levels...any suggestions? In retrospect, I wish I had made this a dark match. Rayne and Eddie Howard use their MAW tag experience and worked together to take Citizen X out of the match early. However, as they clearly have the match under control, a game of one-upmanship begins with D.C. and Eddie trying to outdo one another at Citizen X’s expense. Eddie finally hits the finishing move he’s been using lately, a Death Valley Driver. D.C. follows up with his trademark finisher, a high velocity Twisting Neckbreaker appropriately named ‘Storm Damage.’ D.C. goes for the pin, but Eddie throws him off and goes for the pin himself, but D.C. kicks him off! D.C. and Eddie start arguing over who should win the match, then begin to slug it out. They both appear evenly matched, the advantage going back and forth repeatedly. D.C. and Eddie both eventually take each other down with a double clothesline. At this point, Citizen X, who’s been playing possum for a few minutes, springs up, goes up top and hits his patented Flying Butt Drop, the Flaming Anarchy, on Eddie Howard and gets the pinfall victory! Winner at 10:06: Citizen X pinning Eddie Howard [B]Rating:[/B] E [B]Road Agent Notes: [/B][COLOR="Magenta"]Eddie seemed off his game tonight. Again, credit goes to Marv for his awesome announcing and color commentary. But like our first match, not even he could raise the match to a reasonable level. Relatively speaking however, that’s not saying much. Both Force and Smith are intimidating figures, roughly the same size. Force has a more impressive looking physique, but you could tell Smith is not someone any sane person would want to mess with. A collar and elbow tie up begin the match, followed by a clean break, with neither man gaining any advantage. This process is repeated two more times, with the crowd getting behind Force the third time. After the third clean break, Smith shoves Force. Force returns the favor, and the fisticuffs come into play. Force wildly brawls away and gets Smith into a corner. After numerous punches and kicks, Force turns away to play towards the crowd and stare at the ceiling. This proves to be his undoing, as Smith charges out of the corner and levels Force with a stiff shoulderblock! At this point, it’s all Smith, who plants Force with a vicious body slam, and then picks him up for a snap suplex. A two-count later, and Smith picks him up. Force attempts a wild punch, but Smith ducks and hits a Dragon Suplex for another close two-count. Smith throws Force to the corner, and charges into a boot to the face. Force attempts a clothesline out of the corner, but Smith dodges that, and nails a full release German suplex! Another close two-count! Smith is quite frustrated at this point, and picks up Force for another suplex, but Force blocks it and reverses it for a suplex of his own! Both men are slow to get up, and Smith begins pounding away, but Force’s body spasms violently, as he reaches for the heavens and summons the power of the Force, no-selling…I mean, becomes impervious to physical punishment! A flurry of punches and kicks are followed by four clotheslines. Force signals for the Full Force, and nails it! 1… 2… Kick out at two-and-a-half! Jim Force can’t believe it! He argues with the referee, and keeps looking up at the ceiling repeatedly screaming: “Why?! Did you abandon me?!” Force looks like he’s about to leave the ring! His manager, Jennifer Heat, screams “What the f*** is wrong with you?! Hit him again!” in Spanish! As Force looks like he’s about to leave the ring, Smith recovers and gives him a spear! Smith follows up with one of his trademark finishers, the Backdrop Driver! 1… 2… Kick out at two-and-a-half! Smith can’t believe it! He argues with the referee! He goes to pick up Force for his other trademark finisher, an Inverted Piledriver! But Force wiggles his way out, kicks him in the gut, and picks him up for a press slam! He hits it, and signals for another Full Force, and nails it. As he goes for the cover, time expires! Result: Jim Force drew with Bulldozer Brandon Smith in 10:00 when the time limit expires. Forget about wrestling (ironic, no?)! These two just started slugging at each other like no tomorrow. Brandon’s brawling seems more refined, more precise; a stark contrast to Force’s wild brawling. Wild brawling seems to win out at first, as Force knocks Brandon down with numerous punches and clotheslines. Brandon eventually rolls out of the ring. Brandon takes a short walk, then re-enters. Force charges at Bulldozer for a shoulderblock, but Brandon braces for it, and Force just bounces off. Force reaches for the heavens, and tries it again, but this time Brandon picks him up for a powerslam! Two elbow drops and a quick cover get Brandon 2. Another cover hooking the leg gets another 2. Another cover, hooking both legs gets another 2. Brandon picks Force up, and executes a beautiful back suplex! He then mounts Force for repeated blows to his skull. This is followed up with a vertical suplex! But only another 2 count for Brandon, who’s getting increasingly agitated. Brandon picks Force up and fires him into the ropes for a back body drop. But Brandon telegraphs it and Force is able to give him a kick. Force then goes for a running clothesline, but Brandon stops him in his tracks, and gives Force an overhead belly-to-belly suplex! Brandon plays to the crowd a little, going for a late cover which only yields a 2 count. Brandon picks up Force and fires him into the ropes for a clothesline. But Force dodges bounces off the ropes and again and hits a flying shoulder tackle. Both men are down! The referee begins to count. Brandon gets up first and uses Force’s face as a punching bag. But Force’s body begins to spasm. He summons the power of the Force and doesn’t sell…I mean, becomes invulnerable to pain! He shakes the ropes like a madman, while Brandon keeps punching him and staring unbelievably. Force gives clothesline after clothesline, not letting up. Force picks Brandon up for a flying shoulder tackle. At the last moment, Brandon pulls referee Oz Lord in the way! Force goes to check on the referee while Brandon goes out to get a steel chair. Brandon comes back into the ring and takes a swing at Force, who barely dodges at the last moment. Manager Jennifer Heat then hands another steel chair to Force. Both men begin to swing chairs at one another. Referee Oz Lord revives at this point and calls for the bell! Jim Force drew with Bulldozer Brandon Smith in 9:39 following a double disqualification. Sadly, Big Smack Scott is not in those plans, and even if he were, he'd probably never sign with a promotion as small as UFW! So that match of the year candidate (:rolleyes: ) will probably never happen! Also, another problem is that it'll probably take...oh...4 more years to get to regional size. So I'll end this Q&A with a fan interaction question. Right now, UFW is at February 2008 (game, not diary), and at the rate we're rising (we get +0.4% popularity per show), assuming that stays constant, we'll get to regional in approximately 4 years, or sometime in 2012. So, here are your / my options: 1.) Continue at that pace...what's the rush! Shows will continue the way they are, with stories that make no sense, Jim Force's words of wisdom, etc. 2.) UFW must rise faster than that! Hold more shows more often! What this will mean is that shows will be less interesting and have less variety, since Jim Force MUST make a profit per month (think of the profit margin as a personal challenge; I'd say I play almost all my TEW games spending $ like it grows on trees! This game is probably the first where I actually budgeted my shows, and deal with the reality of those limitations...OK, Buttercup budgeted my shows, but you get the idea). Since we're a far ways off from February 2008, I'll bring this up now, and tally votes as we go along, giving you the reader plenty of time to decide, and even change your mind if you so please!
