Explaining game bugs as infernal plots since... well, whenever the last post was made. Welcome to the Coastal Zone! Any news this week? No? Well, then, on with the show... ... oh. You want to know our ratings? Well, MPWF got 0.05... SWF's spanish show got a 0.01... we got... well... Let's just say they both beat us. Fine. 0.00. Happy? We aren't. We had two seasons to get that up... CZCW The Coastal Zone Recorded at the Colorado Springs Bar, MidSouth USA March 2008, Week 2, Friday We open with Ultimate Phoenix in the ring, angry, wanting some sort of payback. Out comes The Big Problem and Jakki, looking to oblige him, but Plague is here and says there's some unfinished business. Phoenix refuses to let Plague have all the fun, so they suggest Problem find a partner for tonight. Out comes... Kirk Jameson, saying he knows nobody else is willing to back up The Problem, but it's the perfect time for him to prove himself. (D) OPENING MATCH Jeremiah Moose def. The American Flash in six minutes (F+) Plague cuts a promo on Problem (D) MATCH #2 Insane Machine def. Yeah it seems pretty hard to get good grades in 08. Not that Im complaining who doesn't like a good challenge. And besides the way you're building it once Land Mass and Plague actually hit the ring to square off for real you will be ok....hopefully

Welcome to CZCW Spring Break Bash 2008! April 2008, week 1, Monday From the sold-out Snake Pit, Southwest USA Actually, this is a redo of the original show, as I'm working on a laptop that has no battery and the power cord worked itself loose just as I was about to finish writing up the main event... however, we did discover something new about the game -- it had actually remembered our booking for the show, which was nice. Anyway, Kirk is on color, Farrah (Along with Machine and P-Dawg) are elsewhere tonight. We really should check to see who's going to miss shows... lucky, we didn't book either of them tonight. We open with a main event hype video (D-) OPENING MAIN EVENT: CZCW Title The Big Problem def. Plague(c) in four minutes via DQ when Phoenix runs in and drills him with multiple chairs to the head (D) Phoenix then gives a speech about hwo the Zone isn't about lumbering musclebound goofs, but about fast-paced action, and if Plague wants to give the fans a main event worthy of the Zone, he'll give Phoenix a title shot, tonight. Plague agrees (D) MATCH #2: Tag Title The Pack (c) def. Rich and Famous in nine minutes via pinfall, the less said the better (E-) Remmy cuts a promo about the ladder match (E+) MATCH #3 Snap Dragon def. Flying Jimmy Foxx in thirteen minutes (D) Cougar cuts a promo about the ladder match (E) MATCH #4 Al Coleman def. Marc Speed in fourteen minutes via pinfall (D) Donnie J and Mikey both cut promos about the ladder match (E, E) MATCH #5: Xtreme Ladder Masked Cougar def. Donine J, Remmy Skye, and Mikey James(c) in twenty-five minutes (D) Phoenix cuts a promo on Plague (D) MAIN EVENT: CZCW Title Plague(c) def Ultimate Phoenix in nineteen minutes via finisher (C-) Show rating: D Well, at least we knew that last C- match wasn't a fluke... now if only we could get them with someone other than Plague... On the next Coastal Zone: Will we start to panic? Oh, come on... we started panicing a month ago...

Where sometimes we wonder if we actually know how to play this game: Welcome to the Coastal Zone! Jakki was at it again, spreading rumors about Little Miss Sunshine. If Jakki wasn't so useful with Problem, we'd get rid of her... but then I'm sure Farrah would be causing mroe trouble... meh. Contract news: Fox Mask re-signed his contract, which was nice. Someone else was an outside possibility, but was taking a while to get back to our conract request. So, ratings news... tell you what... when we get something above a 0.00, we'll let you know. Suffice to say, I don't think we're getting a contract extention when we're done here. But, we are only 0.01 below SWF, in the same time slot! :) So, let's sit back and look at this objectively. We are being unable to raise our popularity in the Southwest. Meanwhile, AAA is winning regional battles there and sapping our popularity. If we cannot manage to either raise our popularity at home or put on a better show than AAA )who are currently doing C- shows), we're going to call to Small size eventually. Our other option is to grow enough in the Midsouth so that we can be considered Regional there -- but we're going to run into the same problems we do in the Southwest. OUr third hope is that the TV show will help us grow rapidly in Mexico; it, uh, wasn't helping much so far. So, yeah, as of now, we're expecting to fail. We'll just have fun while doing it; and right now, it looks like Cliff isn't planning on firing us for at least two years, so maybe things will turn around eventually. CZCW The Coastal Zone April 2008, week 1, Friday From the Colorado Springs Bar, Midsouth USA We open with Ultimate Phoenix in the ring, complaining again, yadda yadda, out comes Donnie J to say that if anyone has reason to complain, it's him, so how about someone gets their mouth shut tonight? (D+) OPENING MATCH Kirk Jameson def. Insane Machine in thirteen minutes via pinfall (D) Kirk then issues a challenge to the former Xtreme Champion, Mikey James (E) MATCH #2: Xtreme Title Masked Cougar(c) def. Marc Speed in fifteen minutes via flash rollup (D-) Hype video for The Pack (E) MAIN EVENT Donnie J def. Ultiamte Phoenix in ninteen minutes via Death On Miami Beach (D) Show Rating: D Yeap, more of the same... we shouldn't be so upset about that. Sure, we're not growing upwards, but we're growing outwards, and we're still making money each month so we're not going to have to worry about going out of business anytime soon, right? Next time, on the Coastal Zone: If there's a growth slope, and a death spiral, are we on the racetrack of mediocrity?

... Sorry, there's nobody here to Welcome you to the Coastal Zone. See, someone forgot to remind me that Pee-Wee's contract was up, and so we find ourselves with a TV show to do tonight and no ref. So, yeah. ... awww, crap. We screwed up. Since we signed him, Kirk Jameson was under our 'next big things' category in creative meetings. Now? Not there anymore. We did something wrong with him somewhere... CZCW The Coastal Zone April 2008, week 2, Friday From the Snake Pit, Southwest USA TOnight's color commentator: Kirk Jameson. Tonight's ref: Farrah Hesketh. We knew there was a reason we kept her troublemaking yet awesomely cute butt on the payroll. OPENING MATCH Mikey James def. The American Flash in five minutes via pinfall (E) Mikey then calls for a mic, and says he's nto upset about losing the Xtreme title, because he wants the CZCW Title... and if he wants to be champ, he has to be ready for all challengers. So Kirk Jameson... you're on! (D-) MATCH #2: Tag Titles The Pack def. Machine & Perez in twelve minutes via Foxhunter on Perez (D) MATCH #3 The Big Problem def. Flying Jimm Foxx in five minutes via achokeslam (E+) TBP and Jakki then issue a challenge... not for the CZCW Title, it seems Plague has quickly booked himself a challenger so he doesn't have to face TBP... but the man who cost him his title shot, Phoenix, is available. And TBP wants the man... in a steel cage. (D) We announce Plague vs Donnie J for Welcome To The Coastal Zone (E+) Out comes Ultimate Phoenix with TBP still in the ring, and talks about how TBP doesn't belong in the Zone... and Phoenix is glad to prove it to him. (D) MAIN EVENT Ultimate Phoenix def. Remmy Skye in seventeen minutes via finisher (E+) Show rating: E+. Ow. Hey, check this out... two shows to go before Welcome to the Coastal Zone, and we've got three matches booked already! On the next Coastal Zone: Pee-Wee doesn't want to come back -- do we hire a new ref, or a new color commentator?

It's a Two-For-One Show Special Post here on Crazy Infinity's Welcome to the Coastal Zone! CZCW The Coastal Zone April 2008, week 3, Friday From the Colorado Springs Bar, Midsouth USA Our non-ring crew remains the same as last week until we get someone else hired. We're working on it. We open backstage, with The Pack joking about The Rich And Famous. The insults come fast and heavy, ending with Remus saying he could take both of them alone. Fox bets him fifty bucks. (E+) OPENING MATCH: Handicap Rod Remus def. Rich and Famous in nine minutes ia pinfall (E-) Kirk Jameson takes adantage of his color position to cut a promo on Mikey James (D-) MATCH #2 The debuting California Love Machine def. Marc Speed in fourteen minutes via pinfall (D-) MATCH #3 The Big Problem def. Jeremiah Moose in three minutes via chokeslam (E) The Big Problem cuts a promo (with Jakki) against Ultimate Phoenix in four minutes (D-) MAIN EVENT Remmy Sky def. Insane Machine in fourteen minutes via finisher (D-) Show rating: E+. That's a bad trend. But for not having much star power, what could we expect? On another note... y'know... maybe we've been reading too much Johnny Awesome, but there's just something so very, very wrong about BSC's April event... BSC Raining Blood. It's just so, so wrong. Maybe there's a reason they only have one show a month... In contract news, we re-signed our road agent, and picked up a color commentator... former SWF color comentator, Queen Emily. Farrah would continue to work as our ref for now. CZCW The Coastal ZOne April 2008, week 4, Friday From the Colorado Springs Bar, Midsouth USA OPENING MATCH California Love Macine def. Al Coleman in fourteen minutes via pinfall (E-) CLM then announces his intentions to challenge for the Xtreme Title at Welcome to the Coastal Zone (D-) MATCH #2: Handicap Fox Mask def. Rich & Famous in seven minutes via finisher (E) Ultimate Phoenix cuts a promo on The Big Problem (D) MATCH #3: Xtreme Title Masked Cougar(c) def. Marc Speed in fifteen minutes via finisher (E+) Hype for the Plague vs Donnie J title match (D-) MAIN EVENT The Big Problem def. Snap Dragon in five minutes via DQ when Ultimate Phoenix once more shows up and chairs the big man (E+) Show rating: E And our ratingg continues to spiral downwards... that's definately not good. The one bright spot was that apparently Cliff and Emily had great chemistry as an announce team -- that was going to be an asset for us down the line. Another asset for us? We had apparently just become the #4 promotion in the country; AAA followed close behind at #5, PSW and NYCW coming right behind us. Oddly, BSC was bigger than MAW. That's... funny, actuaaly. Also, we found that there had only been one regional battle this month... with popularity dropping all over the world, we guessed it was due to our competition becoming less popular in the Mid-South and ourselves no longer being popular enough to compete in the Midwest. AAA was still beating us in the Southwest tho... hopefully, we could turn things around. Now... do we try to do something drastic before, or after, the next show? On the next Coastal Zone: CZCW Welcome to the Coastal Zone 2008! Plague vs Donnie J! The Big Problem vs Ultimate Phoenix! California Love Machine and Masked Cougar! Kirk Jameson vs Mikey James! And probably something else, too.

Welcome to CZCW Welcome to the Coastal Zone! Wow... Paging the Department of Redundency Department! May 2008, week 1, Monday Live from the Snake Pit, Southwest USA We open backstage, where The Pack are discussing their wins over Rich and Famous. Fox points out that his win was faster; Remus seems upset by this, and claims he can beat Fox. Fox smiles, and they agree to a friendly match tonight (D-) OPENING MATCH: Xtreme Ladder Match California Love Machine def Masked Cougar (c) in fourteen minutes (D-) Backstage, Mikey and Kirk cut dueling promos on each other (D-) until, in the background, we see Ultimate Phoenix sneak up on The Big Problem and clobber him with a water cooler and shouts something at him in spanish (D-) MATCH #2 Mikey James and Kirk Jameson fight to a 20-minute time limit draw. When the bell rings, the two nod at each other warily (D+) Donnie J hypes up the main event (D-) MATCH #3: CAGE MATCH The Big Problem def. Ultimate Phoenix in seven minutes after a vicious beating and leaving the cage. (E) Plague cuts a promo for the main event (D) MATCH #4 Rod Remus def. Fox Mask in eighteen minutes with a blatant choke hold (D-) Main event hype video (E+) MAIN EVENT: CZCW Title Plague (c) def. Donnie J in twenty-two minutes via finisher (D-) Show Rating: D- Folks, it's official... it's time to panic. We may be making money, but we're definately not growing... Next time, on the Coastal Zone: Honestly? No flippin' idea. We're out of suggestions. Maybe we'll come up with something.
Ok, what did you do to the product?
That's the thing... I put the product back to where it was! (Well, except Match %, 'cause otherwise... no angles). I'm currently simmed up through Wave of Fury... and things get worse before they start getting better. And in this case, 'better' is a relative term.

Okay, we just need to break this down, figure it out before something happens again, because -- I've got a theory, that it's Welcome to the Coastal Zone. No wait, something isn't right here... Looking at this objectively, we learned one important lesson from our last show -- our highest match was between the two guys with the highest comined momentum. So, our goal for the next month is to have people gain as much momentum as possible. We make it sound so easy, don't we? Our recent storylines and escapades had caused everyone to drop down quite a bit... we had seven in the C range, four Es, three Fs, the rest were Ds... CZCW The Coastal Zone May 2008, week 1, Friday From the Colorado Springs Bar, Southwest USA We open with California Love Machine in the ring. He's here for competition... but tonight, he wants a friendly little match. No titles on the line. With... Plague. The champ comes down, and says that in the spirit of friendly competition, sure, he's up for it (D) OPENING MATCH Rich And Famous def. American Flash & Rex Reeve in seven minutes via pinfall (F+) We announce a match for next week: Mirk Jameson vs Mikey James, the rematch. (E) MATCH #2 Mikey James def. Flying Jimmy Foxx in eleven minutes when Little Miss Sunshine mis-distracts and causes Foxx to not see James slapping on a hold from behind (E+) MATCH #3 Kirk Jameson def. Remmy Skye in thirteen minutes via pinfall. (D) Mikey comes back out, and he and Kirk share a few friendly insults and threats about next week (E+) MAIN EVENT Non-Title Match Plague def. California Love Machine in twelve minutes via rollup (E+) Show rating: E+ Wow. Two matches with bad chemistry... can you guess which ones? That didn't turn out the best ratings... but let's check momentum and see if we managed to improve that at all... seven Cs... two Fs... four Es... so we managed to bump an F to an E, and an E to a D? That was... no, wait... Rex Reeves has apparently falled right off the chart and no has no momentum at all. Jakki was spreading rumors about Sunshine again, and we read her the riot act. Maybe we were a little too harsh... we were upset. We had gotten some really bad news. We had fallen to Small size. On the next Coastal Zone: We're making over twelve thousand a month... and we're shrinking. How could things possibly get worse?

Where we have a sneaking suspicion the game has gotten much harder than we're used to... Welcome to the Coastal Zone. Or what's left of it. It was Him. It had to be. Things were so... different. Hell, we were making money, but still shrinking... growing in importances, shrinking in influence... how else could things be going so wrong? It had to be Him. At least we had enough money for booze. Drinking had served us well in the past, and it still did now. More bad news... Mikey James was considering working for NYCW. Los Desportes Hoy wanted our ratings to get up. They should join the club -- so do we! It was time for a meeting. "Okay... you guys put a lot of faith in me. Profits are up. We actually gained a spot on the list of most important promotions in the USA. But growth... it hasn't happened. The opposite of growth has happened. So... I know there's some of you, think I should quit. I won't. And nobody's getting fired, either. We have plenty of funding. So what we're going to do... we're going to get back to where we were, and we're going to surpass where we were. I promise." CZCW The Coastal Zone May 2008, Week 2, Friday From the almost-sold-out Snake Pit, Southwest USA We open with Fox and Remus in the ring, having an arguement about how their singles match wound up. The two almost come to blows when Remmy Skye and Frankie Perez come down and say they want their titles back. The Pack reluctantly accept (D-) OPENING MATCH: Xtreme Title California Love Machine def. Jeremiah Moose in ten minutes via finisher (E) Kirk and Mikey cut dueling previously-taped promos (D-, E+) MATCH #2 Kirk Jameson and Mikey JAmes fight to another twenty-minute time-limit draw (D-) Afterwards, the two shake hands (E+) MAIN EVENT: Tag Titles The Pack (c) def. Skye & Perez in fourteen minutes via DQ (D). Fox was about to go for the Foxhunter on Perez when Remus made a blind tag and began attacking P-Dawg himself. Fox hard-tagged back in, then Remus hard-tagged back in, and Fox just hauled off and clocked him one, spitting on him as Farrah sighed and called for a DQ. Show rating: D- Well... it's an improvement. Sort of. The backstage was starting to shape up; Mikey James had a radio show appearance and put his support behind Fox Mask. We trimmed the roster a bit when Al Coleman decided we weren't offering him enough money and left. Next time, on the Coastal Zone: Oh, what now?

Where funny entry lines are hard to come up with when you're doing this poorly: Welcome to the Coastal Zone. We started out with problems, and almost missed our chances to remind Marc Speed and Insane Machine we want to keep them onboard. And then we managed to forget that Farrah was working somewhere else for our next show. We needed a backup ref, and stat... so I guess I'll pick... me. CZCW The Coastal Zone May 2008, Week 3, Friday From the Colorado Springs Bar, Midsouth USA Once again, Remus and Fox are in the ring, arguing, about to come to blows, and once more they're interrupted... by Kirk Jameson and Mikey James. "Unlike the two of you, we can be competitive with each other... but still respect each other. And tonight... we're making sure a -team- holds the tag team titles." (E+) OPENING MATCH Marc Speed buries Al Coleman in twelve minutes via submission (E) Backstage, Kirk and Mikey cut a promo about how, after two time-limit draws, they know each other's capabilities and can form a dominant team in the Zone (E+) MATCH #2: Triangle Match Ultimate Phoenix def. The Big Problem and Donnie J in ten minutes by pinning Donnie J (D-) Afterwards, Ultimate Phoenix challenges Plague to a title match (D-) MAIN EVENT: Tag Title Ladder The Pack (c) def. James & Jameson in... wait.. that's not what we booked... HOW THE HELL CAN A MATCH END THE WRONG WAY WHEN WE'RE THE FREAKIN' REF FOR THE MATCH???? (E+) Show rating: E+ Y'know what? We're about to just pack it in. Seriously. Backstage, Coleman somehow carried out a prank on Insane Machine (He was there?). Since his contract wass coming up anyway, we fired his arse, just to set an example. We were sick of pranks and petty stupidity. At least Speedball and Machine were sticking around. On the next Coastal Zone: We start throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks.

Freakier thnan the guy who plays Death in "The Eye": Welcome to the Coastal Zone! P-Dawg decided to stick around; we'd have to reward him with something. Hopefully, it would be continued employment once we grew again. CZCW The Coastal Zone May 2008, week 4, Friday From the Snake Pit, Southwest USA We start with four Zoners in the ring, talking about respect, and they settle on a tag match for tonight: Remmy Skye & Frankie Perez vs Insane Machine & Snap Dragon (E+) OPENING MATCH Donnie J def. Mikey James via rollup in eighten minutes (D-) MATCH #2 Kirk Jameson def. The Big Problem via countout in seven minutes (D-) Afterwards, TBP totally destroyes Kirk. Mikey runs our to help, followed by Donnie (who seems to just be spectating), but they both get destroyed as well (D-) MAIN EVENT: Tag Machine & Dragon def. Skye & Perez in nineteen minutes via Termination Kick on P-Dawg (D) Show rating: D- Well, at least it didn't totally suck. Next time, on the Coastal Zone: CZCW... um.... Big June Show! Card to be announced!
