The Miskovsky Report

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CGC/Rob.jpg

"Good evening to all our fans listening out there, I'm your host Rob L. Miskovsky and I have Mr. William Miles here tonight as our quest as we take an in-depth look at his career with Canadian Golden Combat, the CGC; From the start of 2008 when he became the writer for them and from that point forward as he was infamously promoted as the Head Booker of the company.. The world wide success and fame.. And of course the backlash and the consequen-"

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CGC/W.jpg

"Stop it right there Rob. I'm sorry for being so offensive here but I have to set the record straight."

"I'm not the bad guy in this story. As we all know wrestling, sports entertainment has always had it's politics, the fights between the scenes.. All the bad blood. Unless you have been there, you will never know the truth behind all those news and rumours."

"I know I'm not liked in the business and I accept that. I know that a lot of people really do hate me and what I did to the business.. But as I've said time and time again.. That's entertainment."

"Some insiders in the business have compared you to Richard Eisen, the owner of SWF and destroyer of the territorial system in US. What do you think about this?"

"It's an overstatement. Eisen is the most succesful promoter in the history of wrestling and I really admire him as a fellow businessman.. You can't argue the fact that he single-handedly changed the face of wrestling back then. A lot of people hated him for what he had done to other promotions but it was effective and it worked.. SWF became the most succesful promotion of all-time in the US and they reigned supreme for over, what, twenty years.."

"Yes.. But anyways.. What do you have to say as a defence for these accusations that people have made against you over the years?"

"All in all.. I really don't know what to say for all those fans and people within the business who don't like what I did to CGC and to DeColts.. And like I said at the start of this interview, I'm not the bad guy.. There's much, much more to the story than what people think.."

"Mm..", Rob nodds, I pause for a moment.

"Truth to be told.. Now that I look back .. All the things I did.."

".. I never wanted to."

I have never played the Cornellverse and so know not one single thing about it and therefore have never payed any attention to a Cornellverse diary. Infact I only read WWE diaries as it's all I know.

Yet, for some reason I can't explain, maybe it's the way you've set the first couple of posts out, maybe it's the intriguing backstory, whatever it is, I'm actually awaiting the next post and this diary getting going.

I'll definitely be checking back in on this diary when you next post.

Traditionally I'm not a fan of people writing "The story of how they wrote wrestling" with all sorts of backstage meetings and stuff, but... I like how it's being told in hindsight. I'm slightly hooked, looking forward to the first show.

Preview of CGC Title Bout Wrestling on Maple Leaf Sports this Sunday:

The first show of the year kicks off with a Triple Threat "Overhead Wires" match featuring Whippy The Clown, Shooter Sean Deeley and Ryan Powell as they battle for the #1 Contender spot for the CGC Canadian title as the winner of the match will face the champion Sage at CGC: Elimination on Friday, Week 3 of this month, only on pay-per-view!!

Just before the year changed The Sage promised that he would be bringing the "Prophecy" to the CGC; Sage mentioned two monsters by the name of Aether, the God of the upper air and Ares, the God of war, murder and bloodshed. Who are these two wrestlers? And what does Sage mean by the Prophecy?

Sage is not the only one who will defend their title at Elimination: The World Tag Team champions, The Specialists, will surely be watching on Sunday as the Youth Energy and Soldiers Of Fortune battle it out for a shot against The Specialists at the Elimination event.

The only confirmed match for CGC Elimination is the World championship match where Ricky DeColt will face his biggest opponent yet, Dan DaLay, the leader of the Elite. On Sunday Ricky will team up with his brother Alex as they take on DaLay and Eddie Chandler in our main event of the night!!

Don't miss this Sunday's edition of Title Bout Wrestling as we are just couple weeks away from Elimination PPV!!

Whippy The Clown vs. Shooter Sean Deeley vs. Ryan Powell - Gotta give it to Whippy.

Youth Energy vs. Soldiers Of Fortune - I'm a fan

Steve & Jack DeColt vs. ??? & ??? - DeColts Rule

Alex & Ricky DeColt vs. Dan DaLay & Eddie Chandler - See above

Lots of tag matches. Don't they fight one-on-one in Canada? :)

Also, I'm not sure if there's any in-game precedent for it, but I like the idea that The Specialists use Stereo Super Kicks as their finish. Might steal that.

Great choice the CGC...I love that promotion...and in my game with it I also started with DaLay vs Ricky DC at Elimination...couse DaLay is the first main eventer with an expiring contract ..

btw the predictions:

CGC Title Bout Wrestling

Sunday, Week 1, January

Varsity Arena, Ontario

Eric Tyler vs. ???

Tyler is going to SWF more sooner than later so way don't make him a jobber right from the start

Ed Monton vs. The Sage - Non-title

I think The Sage (AKA Trent Shaffer) is the future of CGC, So he needs to Win, Win Win

Whippy The Clown vs. Shooter Sean Deeley vs. Ryan Powell - #1 Contenders Match for the Canadian title

don't know why, but he is one of my favourites

Youth Energy vs. Soldiers Of Fortune - #1 Contenders Match for the World Tag titles

The Specialist are too good for both teams so the winner in my opinion is barely irrelevant, they will lost in the championship match

Steve & Jack DeColt vs. ??? & ???

The DeColts are too good to loose

Alex & Ricky DeColt vs. Dan DaLay & Eddie Chandler

very tough call...could end in a DQ or in a Draw...but I know that DeColt Family hates to lose, so..

Know you're gonna do great things with CGC! + Trent Shaffer's alter ego's mask is genuinely creepy! Anyhoo . .

Eric Tyler vs. ???

Tyler will probably go somewhere else eventually, but for the moment, he's a good upper midcarder. However, knowing you, sruprise debut takes it.

Ed Monton vs. The Sage - Non-title

Sage. Easily

Whippy The Clown vs. Shooter Sean Deeley vs. Ryan Powell - #1 Contenders Match for the Canadian title

Whippy is a face, the champ is heel

Youth Energy vs. Soldiers Of Fortune - #1 Contenders Match for the World Tag titles

Setting up face vs. heel

Steve & Jack DeColt vs. ??? & ???

The DeColts are too good to loose

Alex & Ricky DeColt vs. Dan DaLay & Eddie Chandler

Cheap finish/win

Kirk Jameson was revealed to be one of the three new wrestlers who have joined CGC. Jameson, 21, is a promising young talent from Boston who's a regular performer in FCW. Jameson starts off with a strong win over Eric Tyler, who seems to be leaving the company as there had been rumours of him signing with SWF. Jameson defeated Tyler in 7:19 by submission with the Kirk-Hold (Sharp Shooter).

Main show:

George: "Welcome to CGC Title Bout Wrestling! Tonight you will see Alex and Ricky taking on DaLay and Chandler in our main event tag team spectacle!"

Mitch: "We now go to backstage where Alex and Ricky are talking about their strategy going into the match against the best in Elite."

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CGC2/Alex.jpghttp://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CGC2/Ricky.jpg

Alex: "Listen Lil' Bro.. I know that you won the title from Chandler last year.. But you've never faced DaLay before. He's strong.. I mean really strong, I know. I have had multiple matches with the guy over the years.. So listen here's the plan for tonight: I take care of DaLay while you keep focusing on Chandler, alright?"

Ricky: ".. Why are you always so.. Overprotecting me Alex? I'm the World champion, remember?.. Yeah, I won the title from Chandler. I can hold my own against the Elite."

Alex: "But I'm not overprotecting. Listen.. I just want you to be 100% for Elimination PPV.. 'Cause you have to be, against DaLay.. I want to keep the title in the family."

Ricky: "I understand but.. You know. Just watch me tonight. I'll show you what I mean."

Ricky walks off confident of himself, leaving Alex worried about his little brother.

Triple Threat Overhead Wires #1 Contenders Match for the Canadian title

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CGC/play3.png

The match starts off high paced as all three competitors head straight for the wires as they try to grab the contract. Everyone fails in the attempt as they kick each other down. Shooter does a nice German suplex to Whippy, whipping him hard to the mat. Whippy plays possum while Ryan and Shooter continue to chain wrestle for a moment until Deeley gets a figure four leg lock locked on Powell. Powell quickly counters the move by rolling onto his stomach, shifting all the pressure to Deeley's legs. As Deeley tries to get out of the move by reaching the ropes, Powell notices that Whippy is already hanging in the wires high above the ring! Powell tries desperately to get himself out of the situation but can't make it in time as Whippy gets a hold of the contract in just 4:45! Deeley and Powell continue to fight even though the match has already ended, accusing one another for the loss.

Winner: Whippy The Clown via Contract Revieval

Grade: D

Mitch: "Wow, can you believe it? The technicians just wrestled each other out of the match by doing what they do best."

George: ".. And so Whippy will face The Sage at CGC: Elimination for the Canadian title. Now that should be an interesting match to say the least."

Mitch: "Speaking of Sage, I think we'll go to backstage where he has something to say."

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CGC2/Sage.jpg

The Sage is in the backstage, crouched and leaning to his staff, waiting, with a wooden box of somesort with some strange writing covered all over it in his hands. Jack DeColt passes by..

Sage: ".. Jackk.. Walk nooo further.."

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CGC2/Jack.jpg

Jack: ".. Who the hel.. Oh, Trent. What are you doing..?"

Sage: "Nooo Trent.. Justtt.. Sssage.. Hiihiii.."

Sage opens the box and shows Alex the objects inside: Marked bones, flat pieces of wood, shells and leather strips. Sage confronts a suspicious Alex and takes one hair out of Jack's head.

Jack: "Ouch! You idiot. Why did you do th-"

Sage: "Shhh.. Ignorant one."

Sage gathers all the items from the box into his hands, along with Jack's hair, and throws them into the box.

Sage: ".. Hiihii.. .. Jacck.. Warn you.. I will. Danger.. Ahead."

Jack: "Right.. Is that so? You know what, I've never believed in any magic tricks, or fortune telling.. And I never will. Weirdo.."

Jack leaves a crouched Sage interpreting the signs while he walks away. Sage whispers to himself ".. Jjjack.. Marie.. Hihii.. .. The Prophecy.. Foolishhh Jaack.. You were warrrned.. Didn't listenn.."

Sage picks up the hair from the box and sets it on fire with a lighter. He closes the box, laughing along the way.

Youth Energy vs. Soldiers Of Fortune

#1 Contenders Match for the World Tag titles

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CGC/play3.png

The match didn't even get to continue pass the five minutes: Just when Youth Energy were going for their Youth Movement move, the reigning tag team champions The Specialists suddenly stormed the ring and attacked Youth Energy. Soldiers Of Fortune then attacked the Specialists who quickly left the ring.

Youth Energy drew The Soldiers Of Fortune in 5:25 via DQ.

The Specialists are heading back, thinking that they won't have to defend the titles at Elimination. The General Manager George DeColt comes out on the ramp, announcing that because of the DQ ending in the match and the actions of Specialists, the tag match at Elimination will not a normal tag match, as it will instead be a three-way tag match for the tag titles: Specialists vs. Youth Energy vs. Soldiers Of Fortune! Specialists threw a tantrum and protest to no avail since George calmly walks back to his office.

Steve DeColt is in the ring, preparing for his match with Jack against the two mystery opponents. Out of nowhere, a masked monster hits the ring and attacks Steve! The assault is violent and bloody, and leaves Steve destroyed. Jack comes running down the ramp to make the rescue but is suddenly attacked by another masked man who jumps from the crowd!

The bad guys roll the dazed Steve and Jack into the ring and the match starts! The bigger, leather masked Ares starts pounding Jack to the ground. The beatdown continues for a while until Ares misses his Running Big Foot and Jack trips the big man down to the mat and connects with the End Of Days (Bow And Arrow Lock, but with the oppponent's head then pulled back into an Inverted Sleeper) but the big man breaks the hold and tags in Aether, who quickly hits a rolling koppou kick right in the face of Jack. Steve isn't even standing on the apron as he just sits on the steel steps, trying to figuratively recharge his batteries. Aether misses the Acid Rain Bomb (Swandive Senton Bomb) but just as when Jack is going for the End Of Days on Aether, his fiance Hotstuff Marie is shown backstage on the GoldenTron: She is down and out, covered in blood and looking dazed with her attacker nowhere to be found. Jack quickly tags the injured Steve into the ring and heads for the ramp, running as fast as he can. Steve shouts at Jack, telling him not to leave him alone as he can't wrestle the two monsters alone. Steve reluctantly enters the ring and faces Ares, who's the legal man as Aether tagged him while Jack tagged Steve. Ares surprises Steve as he bounces off the ropes and hits a devastating Running Big Foot on Steve who falls to the mat, lifeless. To everyone's astonishment, Ares gets a pinfall victory over Steve in 10.56.

Winners: Aether & Ares via Pinfall

Grade: C

George: "No.. .. Can't be."

Mitch: "That's just.. Awful. Where's Jack? And what happened to Marie? I hope she's alright.."

With a smug look on his face, Adrian Garcia starts hyping his team of Dan DaLay and Eddie Chandler taking on Alex & Ricky DeColt in main event tag match.

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CGC2/Adrian.jpg

Adrian: "Well well well.. What do we have here? Is the mighty family beginning to collapse within itself? One thing I can promise.. The Elite has nothing to do with those two monsters. We're above of all those monsterous acts of violence. I must say George.. I feel so sorry for your family .."

Adrian: ".. Or not. Watch as your boys are going to get beaten by Dan and Eddie. Just as Steve and Jack lost their match against those two monsters.. They have snowball's chance in hell against my top two guys of the Elite."

Alex & Ricky DeColt vs. Dan DaLay & Eddie Chandler

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CGC/play3.png

/

Our main event of the evening featured a great tag match with two DeColts taking on the two members of Elite. Alex started the match and was in the ring for almost 10 minutes until Ricky got frustrated and blind tagged himself into the match. Ricky wrestled Eddie at first and fought him well, even reversing Eddie's suplex attempt into a DeColt 45 (Roll Inverted DDT) but got only a two count as Dan broke the pinfall. Alex entered the ring and clotheslined Dan off the ring and followed him outside. Eddie and Ricky started a fantastic series of counter moves while Dan took Alex out with a brass knuckles he had hidden in his trunks! Dan climbed back on the apron, Eddie tagged him in and finally the two locker horns! Eddie started removing the pad from the turnbuckle right next to him while Ricky succesfully avoided every attack Dan tried to execute. Ricky went for a flying body press only for Dan to caught him in mid-air: Dan slammed Ricky right into the exposed turnbuckle, ramming Ricky's back into it. Dan lifted Ricky up and in front of him in an upside position and drove him into the mat with the DaLay Down (Inverted Piledriver) to get the pinfall in 13.26!

Winners: Dan DaLay and Eddie Chandler via Pinfall

Grade: B

George: "I can't believe this.."

Adrian: "I can, haha! I told you!"

Elite members exit the ring while Alex pulls himself into the ring, trying to explain why he didn't make the save. Ricky is down and out for a moment but as he shakes the cobwebs out, he begins to shout at Alex who tries to calm down the World champion, to no avail. Ricky grabs his championship from the ringside staff member, leaving Alex apologizing in the ring. Just as Ricky goes trough the curtains, DaLay sneaks behind of Alex and blasts him with a sickening chairshot! The show ends with DaLay taunting a bloody Alex of how he's going to destroy his little brother at Elimination. DaLay poses on top of the semi-consious Alex as the show ends.

Grade: B-

Overall Grade: C+

TV Rating: 0.45

Awesome show, however I have one problem. You totally snaked me on stealing BigPopa's match format! (writing the 1st RPW show right now) :D

I do have one question though. Why did you have Tyler losing to Kirk on the pre-show? I know he's going to SWF, so why not transfer all of his Canadian overness to Kirk by having that match on the main show instead of the tag title contendership match?

And Aether and Aries being Acid & Larry is really cool. I usually use Acid as a challenger for two singles belts, so it will fun to see how he does in a tag team.

Oh and you have some balls "jobbing" the DeColts so early.

I mentioned about this in the poll thread, about making it more like Bigpapa's style. There's altough few things different: The usage of colours, grades, font size, font type, etc..

... Oh .. ****!! Didn't even thought of that!! I've hardly played any promotions that have TV. Now that I look at it he didn't even gain that much popularity.. And it, of course, was just in that one region of Ontario

Thanks man! And to everyone else who have commented and given feedback / predicted, a big Thank You for all of you. I'm so exited to read about your predictions and thoughts on the diary :) I'll do the prediction list thingy at the end of each month, be not afraid, you will be awarded for right predictions! Hope you enjoyed the show as I put a lot effort into the new layout, with the images, entrance themes and such.. I'm having a really great time with this diary.

Nice show. Short & sweet.

Changed the show lenght to 1½hrs, the network didn't agree to 2hrs. It's quite tough to get everyone into the show actually :D

Oh and you have some balls "jobbing" the DeColts so early.

P.S. DeColts... lose?

That's the funny thing about it. No one predicted that they would lose those two last matches. CGC is in a serious lack of Heels at the moment.. ^^

Good first show. I meant to get my predictions in, so apologies. I was also kind of wondering why the Jameson win was a dark match. As for the DeColt's losing, I think its something you have to do to keep Elite and the promotion as a whole interesting. Especially given that the DeColt's all have the Entertainment skills to maintain good momentum and overness through get segments.

If you want another good young heel, don't overlook Davis Wayne Newton. He might make for an interesting tag team with Deeley.

I didn't realize I had got to the point where I had a "style", but its good to know.

The Miskovsky Report

Part. 2

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CGC/Rob.jpg

".. And that was your first show. What were your feelings after it?"

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CGC/W.jpg

"I felt exited. Eric Tyler left the company but we brought in Kirk Jameson, Larry Wood and Acid. Jameson got decent momentum from the get-go but it was just stupid to book him in the pre-show.. Alex was still the head booker, mind you. I was just a writer so I virtually had no saying on how the shows were booked.."

"But you gave him the idea for the main storyline?"

"Yes.. It was me, I'm guilty. It was the only way that I could get that storyline going on.. Trough Alex. I knew that George wouldn't accept the storyline that I had in store for the main eventers. Alex understood me way better than George ever did."

"But speaking of Aether and Ares and the debut.. I was really keen on these two new monster.. But sadly the crowd didn't.. You know. There was just something that didn't click. I'm not sure if it was a bit of a shock to all those fans at Ontario, to see their heroes Jack and Steve lose to two totally new guys. It seemed as if they.. Didn't believe that they had actually lost the match. It was weird.. We debuted two new guys with virtually no momentum after wins over two DeColts, how on earth could that happen? I still don't understand it. But the Prophecy, as a stable, got really good momentum. People were really intriqued and interested about Sage and his segments from that point forward. I felt really happy that something that I had worked on for so long, actually worked, it was a big relief for me. George didn't like Sage at first, thinking that the character was a bit too risky. Alex instead saw the endless possibilities for the character."

"Your friendship with Alex proved to be the key to success for you, yes?"

"Absolutely. He had the .. He understood the business much more than his brothers did. All the respect to Steve, Jack and Ricky, but Alex had the business side in him. We shared common goals, the hunger for success.. And we knew what we had to do to get it.. I knew instantly that Alex and I would be the brains behind the scenes in the end."

(Ares's momentum: F+, Gimmick: Monster (B+). Aether's momentum: F, Gimmick: Ninja (B-. Kirk Jameson, Momentum: D, Gimmick: Machine (A). Ares and Aather were placed in the upper midcard, Jameson started from the bottom as an enhancement talent)

Preview of CGC Title Bout Wrestling on Maple Leaf Sports this Sunday:

Just one more show left before CGC: Elimination!!

Last week the fiance of Jack DeColt, Marie, was brutally attacked backstage: Who did it? And how will Jack respond to the attack? Will Steve hold a grudge against his brother for abandoning him in the ring against Aether and Ares?

Whippy The Clown won the #1 Contenders match and will face Zeus Maxmillion on Sunday. Does Sage have something in store for Whippy?

Also in the #1 Contenders match we saw a weird situation where two fine technicians wrestled each other out of the match: Will the feud between Powell and Deeley continue? Powell seems to have his day planned already as he will be taking on Jack DeColt, who certainly isn't going to be in a good mood.

On our spectacular main event the three DeColt brothers will square against the finest of Elite: DaLay, Chandler and Deeley. Who will emerge victorious just before the pay-per-view, who will have advantage going into the CGC: Elimination?

George DeColt will surely announce more matches for the CGC Elimination event so don't miss this Sunday's edition of Title Bout Wrestling as it's our last show before Elimination PPV!!

CGC Title Bout Wrestling
