Well, votes for yourself don't count, so you're actually tied second with me.

 

Voting for yourself is frowned upon ;)

 

You see, I don't have that much of a nissue with voting for yourself anymore. I know it's kind of frowned upon, and personally I'd never do it because I think it's a bit self assuming to say "I think my diary is better than everyone else's", and I think it would seem like a bit of a shallow victory to win when one of the votes comes from yourself, but if people want to they should be able to, it's their perogative. Everyone is equal so if people want to vote for themselves then they should be able. Don't want to start a debate, just giving my two cents.

 

I voted for Sebsy, anyway. It's a good start to the diary, and it's always refreshing to see someone go a different way to real life but still in a way that makes me understand it.

is entirely thier perogotive. and has only the one small side effect. in the event of tie you loose.

 

That does not mean if we end up 11-12 with the guy that voted fore himself that we have a tie. it only means that in the event it winds up 11-11, the guy who did not vote for himself wins the tie.

 

(may think of it as if you vote for yourself it only counts as 1/2 a vote)

11-11&1/2 vs 11-10&1/2

so many good choices, all very solid and all are winners.

opted for Nobby's TNA because he's been one of the more active posters. Plus this month, it looks like he's turned around the fortunes of TNA...going from mega losses to making a consistent profit (and good shows).

 

his style is different than most which makes it stand out as well, and it's easy to read. I'm Mr Olympia, and I approved this message. ;)

I'm with keef here. While I'm never going to vote for myself (seems kinda...I don't know, pretentious?), I don't have a problem with someone else doing it if they honestly think their diary deserves to win. That being said, it is kind of frowned upon by many around here, so you do so at your own "peril", I suppose.

 

I have to agree with keef as well. However, not for pretentious reasons of my diary is the best on the forum, but for the reason of what if I do not get a vote at all? So for that reason I have no problem with people voting for themselves. Because it looks bad to be nominated and get no votes at all.

Theoretically if you've been nominated and seconded, that should be 2 guaranteed votes right there. With everyone trying to use up their 3 noms, things don't quite work out that way, but regardless, I can't remember anyone being voteless for a long while.

Thanks for the support mate, but we just couldn't muster up a final push. Thank you to the people who voted for me and a huge congrats to dse81. You deserve a big hand for keeping the diary going for so long and you've also nearly reached that sacred 1000 post mark. A very, very worthy winner in my opinion.
