He just won a main event title match at Wrestlemania, weeks after beating Rey Mysterio to cap off a major feud that saw him go over Rey on several occasions in the main event spot on Smackdown.

Also I think we can say Alberto Del Rio won the Royal Rumble. It happened 7 days ago and three WWE TV shows ago, and has been on WWE's site since Sunday.

And I don't watch Smackdown often, but what I have seen of Del Rio indicates he is the total package. He's a believable tough guy thanks to his size and MMA experience (his finisher ties into that), he's got an incredible look, is a solid hand and is a third generation guy who understands and respects the business, and he has some of the best heel facial expressions I've seen in years.

Absolutely good for WWE for taking a chance on somebody that hasn't already been established for years and trying to create a "next big thing" type guy.

All of this is spot on. As much as I hate the guy(and not in the way I'm supposed to), del Rio is not a midcarder. He's one of the biggest heels on either show right now. And we definitely can say his name. We could say it the second he won the Rumble - like you said, it's been on the WWE website since then. And if it's on the WWE website, it's not a spoiler and we can talk about it. Anybody that doesn't want to know what happened on a show that already air needs to avoid this thread and anywhere else they could read it.

It would be a mistake for him to win the title at Mania, but there's nothing wrong with him winning the Rumble. He's clearly deserving of being in a spotlight match at Mania, but of the guys that are going to be in the big matches, he's the one that can gain the most from winning the Rumble. Cena, Orton, Punk...these guys gain nothing from a rumble win. We know who they are and what they can do.

jwt13
Yea its Taker the song said no grave can hold be down. As for the guest host for raw I hope it's Goldberg because Vince was talking about selling out the 75000 seat georgia dome and he did that in 99 and he lives in Atlanta, but it will most likely be that beiber kid

TakerNGN74
I was actually bummed about the fact that they updated the promo from last week and re aired it. Now we know who it is, and now I could really care less. Don't get me wrong I like the Undertaker but I was really hoping for Sting this time around. I hope this doesn't totally kill Sting as a possibility for the WWE.

Purple Cowboy
Really R-Truth? If you're gonna do the cheap pop everywhere you go, make sure you know what town you are in. I was wondering if that was a work because of how Michael Cole sold it and the Cena in-ring near the end of the show where he really went for the hometown fans. If it was a work it was a major fail because Truth got some real heat from that and the crowd didn't seem all that excited when the ref reversed his decision and gave Truth the win. The aftermath led to a laugh out loud moment for me when Punk said to Mason Ryan "you did real good when you twisted his leg like that." Also disappointed, but if you believe web news conpiracies, you ould also look at the fact that TNA updated their roster page and removed Sting entirely. Gabbo
I considered that to be TNA setting WWE fans up for even bigger disappointment.
juggaloninjalee
They didn't reshoot the promo to get rid of the idea it was Sting. Every week it will change a little. Next week it will be another DIFFERENT promo video. Everyone got themselves hyped for Sting in WWE by the video. Most people said that it was the Undertaker. Would have been cool if it were for Sting but it wasn't ever intended to be Sting.

lazorbeak
I think it may be a bit premature to say there's nothing on Wrestlemania worth seeing a solid 2 months before the show goes to air, before any of the matches are set and before we know who this "guest host" is supposed to be. You may be right but I think you're jumping the gun right now.

Fantabulous
Wrestlemania used to be the one WWE PPV of the year I'd actually order, although in later years it was done purely out of habit and last year I got it solely for Bret vs. Vince. This year, I can't see anything on the cards, either provisionally or potentially, that would make me want to buy it this year. Sure, Sting vs. Undertaker would tempt me but it wouldn't be a sure thing to get me to buy. The guest host, whoever it is, would have no bearing on whether I'd buy WM or not.
