WWE is likely interested in the tape library (Styles, Sting, Angle, Roode, etc). That alone makes it enticing.

If it's not financially viable as a company it can't be a viable alternative.

I hate the current WWE product for a lot of reasons so I don't want to see GFW go. I also have liked GFW since the early days. I really don't want to see them go. GFW rocks, WWE sucks

BREAKING NEWS: Company makes investment, doesn't make return on investment within first three months!

Pretty sure that the dirt sheeters just spin a wheel every week and make up a story, this week it landed on TNA so they have to report imminent death rumours!

In more positive news from GFW, I am excited for the Global Force Network and will sub to that the moment it goes live, provided it's on a proper platform. Hopefully they work the content out correctly, I want unlimited access to every X-Division match TNA has ever taped. If they can give me that, they can have my money.

For $7.99 per month, users will have access to 850 - 900 hours of the Impact tape library. That’s out of the overall 3000 hours of footage, so there’s room to grow there, and Nordholm hopes to add content from partner promotions like Japan’s NOAH and Mexico’s AAA:

“We do expect in the very near future to be bringing in our partners as well. It's not branded an Impact app. We want it to be a generic place for AAA, NOAH, if we can persuade New Japan or anybody. We'll have a plan, an efficient place for an aggregation of wrestling content that isn't related to WWE.”

If they make it worth my while by attracting other indy shows I might jump on for a while, but if it's solely TNA material: no thanks, though I might want to watch the whole first year again and beyond (until it started to suck).

Watched this week's show (or parts of it), but I still don't really believe it's going to mean anything in the pro wrestling universe. There's WWE, who are reaching out to other audiences lately, there's Lucha Underground, which is the definite cult promotion. ROH provides for traditionalists and than there's TNA, which is basically just a crappier alternative to WWE that provides us with nothing new apart from the occasional good match or gimmick. Seems the only ones who like it are bitter ex-WWE fans and the hobbyists who spend their time watching any wrestling.

That being said, there IS LowKi, and the champ (unknown to me) seems like a very nice talent. Cornette is just there to make some dough but is really not going to save the promotion.

Didn't bother watching it. Doesn't sound as good as the last PPV but that's no surprise with Taya vs Rosemary cancelled, a quarter of the roster being let go and Anthem continuing to waste money on Alberto.

Bound For Glory used to feel like an actual major show... now it doesn't feel like much more than a major TV show. It's a shame, but it was still a fun show despite the weak finish.

I like Eli Drake... he reminds me of The Rock before he became a big star, though I'm not saying he's ever going to ascend to anything like those heights. He seemed to get rushed to the top when El Patron was stripped, but Drake is a guy who can talk, he can perform in the ring to a good standard and he looks good. His promos are good and I love the catchphrase too...

I have to admit that Impact hasn't been on the top of my watchlist for a while... their new format of having some new Impact zone content and some matches drawn from other parts of their definitely-not-GFW-alliance makes for some interesting viewing, though there are too many people on the show who seem to be jut thrown on there with no hype at all. Which is odd given that they are pre-taping and should be able to hype things up wen they know what's coming. :p

I hope they get more stable in future and do well... the Lashley and Moose angle with American Top Team has been fun but I'm not sure what the end goal of it is... and surely it isn't over given the end result from BFG. But Impact booking is... sketchy at times so who knows. :p

It feels like Impact just doesn't have a long-term booking plan. They plan from the beginning of a taping to the end of it, and that's it, and sometimes it feels REALLY obvious and it hurts the product.

And I love Eli Drake. I recall reading somewhere that he tried to build a unique speaking style as advice from The Rock and it really shows. With his age (34), not sure he ever becomes a huge guy since I'm not sure Impact can build huge guys anymore, but he definitely feels like he'd be a great WWE mid/upper mid card guy.

The Aries vs Cage episode last week got the 2nd biggest audience (399k) since they moved to Pop. Only Final Deletion did better (411k).

Seems like the Lucha partnership is doing well. With a revolving door roster, it definitely doesn't hurt to have some added star power.
