To draw heat on the heels. Basically the heel group has taken over and is personalizing everything including the belt. THAT would then make everyone happy that this Bisch Hogan thing is over with.

And this.

I'm a traditionalist when it comes to wrestling belts, but from the look of that it seems clear that it's The Jeff Hardy Belt. The message obviously being that this isn't Dixie's TNA anymore, it's the Immortal Show.

Not gonna deny, I'd really rather they didn't throw the old belt in the garbage, but I think the plan is probably to replace both with a third new world title down the road. There have been stories for months that the World Title is broken, that the one being carried on TV has actually been a replica. I'd expect that this is a temporary belt for the duration of Jeff's title reign. A stable like Immortal really need to have the world champion, so I'd expect the end of Jeff's reign to coincide with the conclusion of the Immortal plot. Once the new babyface champ is crowned, on the next Impact they'll unveil a whole new TNA World Title. A proper one.

That's what I'd expect anyway. I'll cringe when the old one gets thrown out, but it won't upset me enough to walk away. It's still far from perfect, but the last month of Impact hads been pretty entertaining, and I thought Turning Point was a good show. Some people definitely need to chill. Anyway, just my opinion, make of it what you will.

Just a few weeks after Morgan turned, isn't this what people have always bitcehd about? You can't do four, five, six turns in a months time it gets convulted and makes people not care about ANYONE. "Why should I care about good guys and bad guys they'll change sides in three weeks".

Anyway thats whats going on with TNA the next couple of weeks. I called the Bubba turn but it seemed fairly obvious from their BFG promo on.

TNA offered him a significant pay cut compared to what he was making and he declined it. People at the iMpact tapings were a bit shocked he was low balled since he's been with the company forever and pretty much done whatever is asked of him when it was asked.

I personally hope he winds up in the WWE. I know he won't get pushed and he might get regulated to Superstars but Eric has the tools to fit that company.

I don't know they want him. To be honest, I'm not surprised they gave him a pay cut. He might have been with them forever, but int he world of wrestling, you have to hold your own water, at the very least, and he's not really doing that. He doesn't really have any skills that any other wrestler can't give to TNA.

What IS surprising though, is that they chose NOW to give up on him. If they were going to do it, they should have done it SOONER, if that wasn't going to happen, not do it AT ALL.

That's TNA for you.

If you like TNA, rock on. If you don't, move on. Go watch something else. There's plenty of wrestling out there. You don't need TNA, so it's pointless getting worked up about it.

To sum up we complain because we care and one of the main complaints is they are not what they are because they are all over the place. And this is the TNA discussion thread. Plus all of the people complaining have also pointed out the good and or potential in TNA so its not all negative plus good valid reasons are given or it is made clear it is personal opinion. This is not mindless bashing or Dirtsheet writer copy pasting.

The only thing I am going to say about the "TNA bashing" is I wish that instead of just saying this Impact sucks cuz TNA has so much potential maybe people could say what they would do differently or how they would fix things more to their own preference.

The belt is pretty ugly and Jeff Hardy probably owns it. I don't think TNA would buy that thing but if they did then they have poor taste.

Not doing so leads to what they have now, where the show suffers because everything is related to either the immortal/fortune dominance or a short, non-storyline driven match to fill time.

- pull the trigger on your homegrown talent. By pull the trigger, i don't mean have JAy leathal beat ric flair once, then job to a jersey shore gimmick character 3 months later. IF i'm supposed to be invested in guys like jay, matt morgan, ect then you need to have them cement thier spot over a long period of time.

Right now what happens, and this is in the E as well (though they do stick with some guys) is that just as i get into the guy, you toss him back into a midcard or less fued (drew mac, swagger in the E) because you think because they didn't take off like the rock, the audience hates them. You have to put them through multiple fueds to invest me in them, not a one and done.

- Focus less on the power struggle angle. It's tired, and since Dixie is a awful, awful on screen talent, I blatantly don't care. make your championship scene about the championship, not about hogan/EB vs. Dixie with the belt as a hood ornament on each faction's champion.

Example: matt morgan fued. I like morgan, i am glad they are pushing him in anyway from what i read, but while i think the concussion storyline is intersting, it's not ABOUT the belt....Its about the belt because Jeff happens to be EB's place holder.

That doesn't invest me in the belt at all. I would have started Morgan off absolutly rolling through fortune/abyss from immortals, make hardy have to step in to say "all right man, I'm the champ and THIS is why"

Instead it feels like if you tick off EB, you get a title shot, instead of investing me in a guy by what he went through to get the shot.

Does that make sense? kinda just shot from the hip there....

That's a ridiculous idea.

They obviously ordered the belt ahead of time since the Hardy turn looks like it was planned a while back and Jeff probably had input. But you can bet TNA bought it and approved it.

As for the "things that could be fixed" comment: several people have made long statements on ways they could improve.

EDIT: I think I've said this, but my biggest change would be similar to what crownsy said about pulling the trigger on their homegrown talent. If you want fans to get behind a guy, if you want him to be a star..the PUSH them. Keep them involved in storylines. Get them over by having them actually win a match on a PPV.

Jay Lethal is a great example of a guy who had the rug pulled out from under him for no apparent reason. but the same could be said of Ken Anderson, Matt Morgan, The Pope and Desmond Wolfe at various points in time in the last few months alone.

I get that in storyline terms this is the time when the heels should go over. They should be going over for a while actually. But there has to be a few guys you keep looking strong and looking like threats so that fans stay invested until the tide does turn.

Also ad into this the fact that many possible solutions have been given by many different people and they, or at least I, don't want to keep repeating them. I know it's a big thread but if you look at the complaints lodged by me, Peter, Stennick, Bigpapa, DJfunk then you get a good idea at problems and solutions. I will just copy paste one of the big ones I did after BFG give me a sec to find it.
