Ok I's playing a TNA 2002 game. I cut some things to free up some contracts. I've been thinking about doing a "illuminati" stable A group of higher-ups that controll a good chunk of the younger talent, get them to take out people, and plan on not just taking over TNA but the rest of the wrestling world too. So far here is who I have in this group.

Illuminati.

Abyss

Austin Aries

Bryan Danielson

Alex Shelley

Chris Sabin

Big Krusha (Created 7'3 450lbs worker with great skills)

Leaders

Eric Bischoff

Randy Savage

JJ Dillion

Gene Okurland

Ted Turner

They will try and make all of the wrestlers and fans think that they are up to goo and for the best of the company and end up causing a big battle for who will controll the wrestling world.

Some nice ideas here sir. More tag teams is always good.

I struggle with Frehley (not just from you but overall). Who is he? Why are he and Vengeance brawling? Whats his point? Any thoughts?

So, from time to time, I have this recurring 'fun game' idea.

These days I have to tweak the SWF product slightly (Risque and Cult both go down a bit) to get him to sign, but I start a SWF game and I work at it until Steve Flash can become World Champion and have a good run of it.

The stuff that's going on in the beginning this time around:

1. The Guardian of the SWF

One of the immediate big pushes from the midcard is famed superhero Lobster Warrior, who's mad as shell and not gonna take it anymore. (Sorry.) He'll be the man to watch interfering whenever beatdowns occur on the faces and inserting himself into other storylines, opening by saving Faith from a backstage attack by Khoklov on the first show of the year.

A part of this will be turning it into a sorta six man thing, with Khoklov and Angry Gilmore facing off against Faith, Lobby and Retro (who Angry is feuding with to start with), with K&A getting a rotating ally. I'll be switching Angry up to Faith's main antagonist soon, too.

And yes, Lobster Warrior remains Lobster Warrior. This is the SWF, dammit.

2. Haaaaave you met Fred?

I watch How I Met Your Mother entirely too much. At Where Hell Freezes Over, Buddy Garner shocks the world by debuting and thowing down an open challenge, which Frederique Antonio Garcia will answer. Freddy is rescued from an excruciating hold in a schmozz finish when Pecs runs in, saving and turning Freddy face. The duo return to being Flex & Pecs, with a gimmick patterned after the Stinson brothers in HIMYM - the ultimate ladies' man and the ultimate mans' man, with both men helping the other in their flirting ways.

3. The Main Event Mayhem/POWER

We literally open the first show of the year with Eric and Jack Bruce coming face to face and a bunch of younger wrasslers charging in to keep them separate.

Eric thus gets to the ring and announces his plan to keep the title: POWER. (A new three-man stable, Eric, Remo, and user character Jack Ketch, a lightweight mauler type under a mask. Remo, needless to say, will eventually turn on Eric to support Money.)

In the opening arc to the PPV, Money fails to back Bruce up at the end of the first show when Bruce and Faith are outnumbered against POWER, Khoklov, and Gilmore. In the second show, when POWER jump Money, Bruce returns the favour and goes one better; he persuades SWF authorities to make the main event Bruce/Eisen one on one at Where Hell Freezes Over, claiming Money is too injured to wrestle.

Also in the first show, Joe Sexy is trying to woo Emma CHase away from Brandon James on his talk segment Sexy Time when Rich Money crashes it to tell Eisen to enjoy his time with the belt, because it won't be long.

Bruce and Eisen at the PPV is in a steel cage in the main event, but Remo still gets involved, tearing off the steel cage door to use it as a weapon against Bruce.

4. The Dark Destroyer.

Bruce's first-show promo on having lost the belt last month got interrupted by Vengeance and Frehley brawling backstage, which led to more shenanigans and a Vengeance & Remo/Frehley & Lobster Warrior match at the PPV when Remo claimed to be the "real" Dark Destroyer. Remo pinned Lobby, but the questions in this contest are far from answered.

5. Sexy Time For Emma Chase

Joe is very much working on Emma, who rebuffs him initially - but Eric Tyler appears as the new face of SWF Management at When Hell Freezes Over, and he tells Brandon James he's hand-picking Brandon to be the face of the SWF period. Using interference runner Billy Russell, he costs Joe the tag match that could give him a title shot - leaving Emma uncertain about her role.

6. I Love Tag Teams

So we're building the division. I managed to sign Samoan Machine and RHino Umaga, who'll function as face Samoans under the name Mechanical Animals. In the meantime, the Breakdown Crew are Valiant & Giedroyc's new problem, earning a double-DQ against them on PPV. Who are the Breakdown Crew? Why, Enforcer Roberts and Runaway Train.

7. Faith Will Keep You Alive

Christian Faith's contract for his cage match against Marat Khoklov - the first half of a caged double main event for When Hell Freezes Over - was signed by Faith, and then signed or rather X'ed by Khoklov - but the Soviet Science Experiment made a statement when he did so, signing it in blood dripping from the forehead of Peter Michaels. Lobster Warrior is running out of chairs he hasn't bent around heads yet... Faith won the cage match, which demotes Marat from the top rank in the rolling feud that's coming. But a feud involving Faith and Gilmore is easily the best way to develop Khoklov, so he's gonna be very, very active.

I struggle with Frehley (not just from you but overall). Who is he? Why are he and Vengeance brawling? Whats his point? Any thoughts?

It used to be that my rule of thumb for Frehley was BikerTaker, in the same way that one hybridises Undertaker and Kane to get a rough direction for Vengeance. would typically save their feud for the Supreme Challenge, therefore - but rhat's not really working for me this time around, and the fact Frehley hates the SWF's new direction means I've been exerting less effort to find a schtick for him.

Spitballing something off the top of my head, he had a hell of a debut run and is one of your 'young to do X' guys - so I'd be tempted to set him up as proud of that, a protector and mentor figure for the younger guys, at least until such time as hell breaks loose and he turns heel to protect his records...

Got my brand split a bit early.... packed way to many guys onto my roster not to.

Rick Law, Simon Flemmingway, Damian "The Natural" Carvill", Larry Wood, Hell Monkey, Lead Belly(not sure if I mentioned him last post, but he actually got a decent push, getting in w/ a storyline against Rich Money.), Phenomenal E plus I called up Gino Montero and the gauge-keith boys from dev

oh and after I made the brand split I ended up signing: Troy Tornado, T-Rex, Tyson Baine and Art Reed

Needless to say my Supreme Challenge card has changed quite a bit.

Im thinking now:

Eisen/Train for the world title

Caulfield/Gilmore for the Revolt brands world title

Money in the bank ladder match

F4W for the (soon to be vacated) NA title, 2 from supreme brand, 2 from Revolt brand.

Faith vs Marat Khoklov last man standing

Frehley vs Vengeance... possibly in a casket match

The Bumfholes vs Rich & Famous(Huntingdon/DuBois) vs Damian Carvil & Joey Minnesota for the tag belts.

<p>So my women's hardcore promotion, Ladies of Extreme Wrestling, has their eighth anniversary show.</p><p> </p><p>

*We open with "Queen of Wrestling" Thea Davis and her "Queen's Guard" of Principessa and Juliette King, collectively called the Royal Court. Tonight Davis plans to get vengance on "LEW's Angel of Violence" Deborah Young for ending her dominant run, and promises the Queen's Guard will win the LEW Southern Tag championship as well.</p><p> </p><p>

*Darla Knight d Joy Ryder via triangle choke</p><p>

-Darla Knight is no longer an evil nurse, now utilizing her legit judo background as "The Extreme Judoka".</p><p> </p><p>

*May Walton (w/ Amy Galaxy) d Roxy Kitten (w/Roz Larren and Kammy Ling)</p><p>

-More on Roxy Kitten later. </p><p>

-May Walton is Ellie May Walton with the country girl act downplayed.</p><p>

-Mostly to put everyone on the card here.</p><p> </p><p>

*Flame Monkey (aka Laura Flame) d Rose Monkey (Gypsy Rose) in a Loser Must Change Their Persona match</p><p>

-Flame Monkey has been on a long losing streak due to the mysterious Rose Monkey, who has an obsessive crush on Hell Monkey, Flame's mentor. Rose Monkey tried to become "the true Alpha Female" of the Monkey name by driving Flame Monkey out of wrestling.</p><p>

-They've had six-mans before, with neither side pinning the other. This is their first one-on-one contest</p><p>

-Both wrestler's Monkey masks were on the line (Laura had hers stolen, but now she gets it back) and the loser also had to give up their Hell Monkey based gimmick altogether.</p><p> </p><p>

Thea Davis (w/ Queen's Guard) d Deborah Young with a rollup with feet on the ropes.</p><p>

-Last year, Deborah Young ended Thea Davis' reign as LEW Champion in a Title vs Hair match. This was a return match.</p><p>

-Deborah Young was formerly part of the Royal Court, but Davis kicked her out for repeated failures.</p><p> </p><p>

LEW Southern Tag: Death Junkies (Christy Higgins and Natalie DiMarco) © d. Queen's Guard, Young Blonde Things (Maria Guest and Sandra Shine), and The Hippy and Hero Connection (Calamity Joan and Power Girl) with a High on Violence (Springboard knee drop + 450 Splash combo) on Power Girl</p><p>

-Death Junkies are multi-time champs, due to DiMarco's constant demands for a title run.</p><p>

-Young Blonde Things were paired partially to help Sandra Shine get over and also to give more depth to the heel side of the tag division.</p><p> </p><p>

Slaughterhouse Death Match for the LEW Championship: Eve Grunge © d. Roz Larren (w/ Roxy Kitten and Kammy Ling)</p><p>

-Eve Grunge won the LEW Championship last month against Maria Guest, to become the second two-time champion in LEW history (The first being Thea Davis)</p><p>

-Beforehand though, she was the leader of the Riot Girls punk band/stable. Roz Larren and Kammy Ling would double cross Eve Grunge, being jealous that she was the star of the band and Roz and Kammy were afterthoughts. Roxy Kitten would side with Eve at first, but when they faced off against Roz Larren and Kammy Ling, Roxy would turn as well.</p><p>

-This was the big blowoff to their fued, a barbed wire cage match with weapons in the ring and Texas Death Match ruleset.</p><p>

-Eve Grunge would win by blocking a superplex and hitting a pancake piledriver off the top rope though a table covered in thumbtacks, getting the pin and a ten count.</p><p> </p><p>

The show got a 35, which isn't bad considering what I'm working with.</p>

<p>Everything has changed in WCW. At The Rip Chord Invitational XVIII (18) the three brands that World Championship Wrestling were running all had to prove what they could do. The company was moving in a new direction and one of the brands was to be dissolved. The TV show, monthly brand PPV, and brand-specific championships were all going to come to an end. The question was which brand would fall - Monday Mayhem, Thursday Takeover, or Sunday Stampede.</p><p> </p><p>

The main event of the PPV saw all three brands top champions facing off in an elimination triple-threat match with no titles on the line. Princeton Pryce (Takeover) would be eliminated first. That left Sylvester Weatherfield (Mayhem) and Charger (Stampede) to battle it out. Weatherfield was the underdog going into the match even though he was the man who defeated the legendary American Patriot one month prior at The Night Of The Champions.</p><p> </p><p>

Charger would be the man on top that night. Sunday Stampede was in no danger of coming to an end any time soon. They were solidified as the top brand and overtook Mayhem (which had been the top original TV show that started almost a decade ago). The next few weeks would see both Mayhem and Takeover wrestlers on edge wondering if they would even have jobs at the end of the month. </p><p> </p><p>

At February's Wrestling Classic PPV it saw Princeton Pryce and Sylvester Weatherifled wrestle in a unification title match that would determine which brand was to come to an end. The WCW World Heavyweight champion (Weatherfield) would ultimately defeat the WCW Heavyweight champion (Pryce). This led to the WCW Television championship held by Pavel Vanyzcha to be retired due to Stampede and Mayhem already having a United States and Traditional champion.</p><p> </p><p>

Stampede would go on to inherit the entire womens division. Both tag team and single titles were moved to the brand in exchange for the WCW Cruiserweight championship (Devyn Reynaud) and WCW World Tag Team championship (Bullet & Barrera; Notorious) moving to Mayhem.</p><p> </p><p>

Massive failure on his part. He has A* popularity through the United States, Canada, and Mexico. He was a leading member of the Takeover brand before it as eliminated. If Steamboat survived the World Title rematch at Saturday Night's Main Event in February, it'll be Steamboat vs. Hercules in the main event at Wrestlemania IV. Ricky Steamboat retained the World Title by pinning Andre The Giant. Hercules came out to confront Steamboat after the match.</p><p> </p><p>

Unfortunately, as we go into week 3 of action, sad news to report. Mr. Perfect, who was coming off of a drug suspension and was set to wrestle on Wrestling Challenge, was found dead of a drug overdose. That's the follies of turning off drug testing. Both Superstars and Challenge in week 3 are angle free, and tributes to Mr. Perfect will play throughout both shows. Drug testing will be turned on going forward, with a three strike rule in play.</p>

Just looking for ideas really.

I'm thinking of starting up a 1998 or 1999 mod.

Maybe start a new promotion or bring back AWA or NWA or WCCW.

have a small but talented roster maybe rather than buying every available worker with some talent and having to make 3 brands.

I'm thinking of doing things a little old school by having a small core of regulars on written deals that the regular fans can get behind. a rotation of PPA workers that will be an attraction for a ppv or two then make way for others.

Perhaps also have a development fed where i will sign the next generation to written deals and send them down there with some vets. Introducing them gradually and use them as an attraction like the ppa workers then send them back down to development.

I wonder if chemistry would be the same for me? I had Brutus Beefcake die w/ low drug testing on. Road Warrior Animal has been caught 6 times and I finally suspended him. I think 3 strikes may be too many for this period in time. I'm at KOTR 1987 and I have 5 guys with 3+ strikes. Maybe you're better with dealing with them..

I'm hoping Mr. Perfect doesn't die in mine as he just reached main event status! Cool stuff going on! Your game is a lot different from mine. :)

I turned it off after having it on for a bit, seeing that steroids weren't universally reviled in the pro wrestling business until the Vince McMahon steroid trials in the early 90s. I was going to keep drug testing off until the time period where the trials began(I think there's a narrative, but I'm not sure at the moment), but going along with the story the game made for me, there was an outcry over the death of Hennig and I turned testing back on.

Surprisingly Herc never got busted, even though it was rather obvious that he was into the roids. Also, he works well with almost everyone, which is another surprise because he wasn't the best of workers. He deserves a nice run. Not bad for being mostly a third, or at times, a fourth wheel in the Heenan family.

I was going to keep drug testing off until the time period where the trials began(I think there's a narrative, but I'm not sure at the moment), but going along with the story the game made for me, there was an outcry over the death of Hennig and I turned testing back on.<p> </p><p> Surprisingly Herc never got busted, even though it was rather obvious that he was into the roids. Also, he works well with almost everyone, which is another surprise because he wasn't the best of workers. He deserves a nice run. Not bad for being mostly a third, or at times, a fourth wheel in the Heenan family.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Yep. I have Jimmy Hart as his manager and they have great chemistry so you could try that one as well. Hercules is set up to face Hogan at my KOTR as a "test" to see if he's ready for big storylines like that. Sounds like he'll do fine. He's got the look that you needed back in the day so it's easy to want to push the guy. Especially since he's a positive locker room influence.</p>

Always fun to read about your game, but I'm slightly sad to see KC get jailed. Was he a top player (championship history, main events in NOC etc.), or just one of your beast main eventers? <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> When I said it was "his loss" I more or less meant it was mine too. He's #3 on the 'Franchise Players' list, #2 Show Stopper, and #4 Ring General. Behind American Patriot and Sylvester Weatherfield he was the top guy. He helped Princeton Pryce grow into a top babyface main event player and WCW Heavyweight champion. He helped a lot of younger workers improve but he was also one of the few workers to win two major titles on two different brands.</p><p> </p><p> While on the Stampede brand he won the WCW World championship in July 2020 and lost it in September. He held the WCW Heavyweight championship (Takeover) for one week in December 2020 in a transitional role after being traded from Stampede. He would recapture the title in April 2021 and hold it until August of that same year. He was then traded back to Stampede and held the WCW World championship from November to December (where he dropped it to Pryce). Now three months later he's in jail... bummer. <img alt=":o" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/redface.png.900245280682ef18c5d82399a93c5827.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="NWO4until01" data-cite="NWO4until01" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25963" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Top stuff as always Logan. Hopefully a more streamlined version with just 2 brands resparks your love for that particular save... leading to more updates for us of course!<p> one day I'll get my SWF that far into the future... one day...</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> You got it. I'm hoping two brands will allow me to play the save a lot more. Three was really fun and it was a tough challenge I had to take on but it was time to move on from it. Good luck with your SWF game!</p>

Well, first thing I do in any SWF game is to toss him into development and most of the time I let him go when his contract runs out as well. He isn't good enough to keep him around considering the kind of cancer he is tbh...

<p>It's WCW 1994 using Hive's mod:</p><p> </p><p>

WCW Invaded Madison Square Garden for the first time in history!</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/8259/46910850.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Quick background on some of the matches.</p><p> </p><p>

Dustin Rhodes has been booked extremely well since the summer, feuding with the Stud Stable. His feud with Flair began after Halloween Havoc when Flair beat up Dusty Rhodes for saying Hogan was the best in the bidness during their match at Havoc on commentary. Dustin lost the match to Flair by botch inference with Dusty swung cowbell that was aimed at Flair but got Dustin in the side of the head instead. This will lead to Dustin becoming Goldust in my game.</p><p> </p><p>

Muta cost Hogan the title at Havoc.</p><p> </p><p>

Pillman and Austin have been part of a three way feud all year long with Steamboat. </p><p> </p><p>

Orndorff and Wright have been feuding since before Halloween Havoc when Wright defeated Orndorff on an episode of Saturday Night to continue his undefeated streak. Orndorff when on to beat Wright at Havoc, violently dispatching with Wright. Wright returned in November to cost Orndorff a US title match and their feud resparked.</p><p> </p><p>

Eddie Gilbert defeated Jerry Lawler for the TV title, and Lawler managed Scorpio to the victory at Starrcade.</p><p> </p><p>

Huge props to Hive for his 1994 mod. It is simply outstanding.</p>
