stuanderson2105
Here are a couple belts I made for my fed World Pro Wrestling. They are highly detailed so these images don't show them at their best. http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c22/stuanderson/WPW/wpwwh01v2_33.png http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c22/stuanderson/WPW/wpww01_33.png http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c22/stuanderson/WPW/wpwhc01_33.png http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c22/stuanderson/WPW/WPWWTV01_33.png http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c22/stuanderson/WPW/wpwwtt01_33.png http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c22/stuanderson/WPW/wpwnah01_33.png http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c22/stuanderson/WPW/wpwcw01_33.png
ReapeR
DAMN!!! I might be out of a job shortly. These last posts of belts are simply... AMAZING!!! R
Linsolv
You're not going to be out of a job, ReapeR. You've got YEARS seniority on us. Well. Them. I've been successfully ignored my last like, 4 posts. EDIT: 1. And a post without any belts in it that doesn't really count. I'm not very good at counting. EDIT 2: Trying out that whole "Not forgetting to put in details" thing with this batch of belts. Or. This belt. I'm probably gonna forget with the next 2 again. EDIT 3: (I have this terrible problem of not thinking a lot of updates are important enough to make a new post, but then wanting to clarify what I edited. Leads to a lot of "Edit" tags..) Anyways. If things don't go really wrong, I should be done with all 3 by tonight (Wednesday), and have them posted. What with clearing my computer, I decided against getting GIMP back. It's so slow to load. As a result, I won't be making those cool-ass tilted belts.

Linsolv
In the shuffle, SSW got moved from the UK, who has new and exciting workers that I like a lot (Lance Martin, Mr. Evilness...) to the Great Lakes, which I know as a Michigander -- yes, the word's dumb, I didn't choose it. I'm planning on making the World Championship (which, Ironically, won't be in my database by default -- I don't think a local or small promotion needs 3 title belts, but I always want a triple crown champ, so I make a third render for when I get the chance...) with embossing, to see if I can elicit opinions on which style (shadow/glow or emboss) is better, but I would need to re-make a LOT of stuff, and I wanted to get the release done somewhat early (considering I'm usually up and surfing til 2...) I'll put that up later tonight or tomorrow. http://i531.photobucket.com/albums/dd359/Sootmouth/Belts/SSW.png http://i531.photobucket.com/albums/dd359/Sootmouth/Belts/SSW-Banner.png Belts: http://i531.photobucket.com/albums/dd359/Sootmouth/Belts/SSWGreatLakesBig.pnghttp://i531.photobucket.com/albums/dd359/Sootmouth/Belts/SSWGreatLakesSmall.png http://i531.photobucket.com/albums/dd359/Sootmouth/Belts/SSWSubmissionBig.pnghttp://i531.photobucket.com/albums/dd359/Sootmouth/Belts/SSWSubmissionSmall.png http://i531.photobucket.com/albums/dd359/Sootmouth/Belts/SSW-1DropShadowBig.pnghttp://i531.photobucket.com/albums/dd359/Sootmouth/Belts/SSW-1DropShadowSmall.png This time around, I actually only "borrowed" a pre-made plate shape for the Great Lakes belt. Well. The Submission title's a borrowed concept, but I did the graphics work 100% by hand. Also, I decided to try out using the same color metal as my "filigree" material, and I liked it enough on the Submission title that I ended up doing the same thing on the Great Lakes title. Which might also be partly because I did those two at the same time. Every time I ran out of ideas for one I'd jump over to the other... Never done two belts in a day before. Also, I noticed that my (I thought cool) idea for a "cut up" side plate, like I did to my letters in my logo, did not turn out the way I'd hoped. I could re-do it, but again in the interest of time, I nixed fixing it. I might do that in a minute, but then again I might not so don't hold your breath. EDIT: It turns out I did after all: http://i531.photobucket.com/albums/dd359/Sootmouth/Belts/SSWSubmissionBig-2.pnghttp://i531.photobucket.com/albums/dd359/Sootmouth/Belts/SSWSubmissionSmall-2.png
TLLK
May I ask a probably rookie-esque question? Can any of you belt gurus possibly do a few for me? I can do logos, kinda...but belts? No ma'am. This might be a dumb question and this thread might be request-less one, so please, make my punishment less painful and barbed wire wrapped bat-free. I'm just a confused young rook. Linsolv
I've taken requests (Okay, just one -- you can see the results on page 6) here. Tamer offered, but he's apparently not really in a position to DO any of them for a few weeks or months just yet. Suffice to say, I don't think anyone would hold a request against you. In fact, to my knowledge, only ReapeR has his own thread for requests, but they're not open just yet. P.S. : I understand not wanting to do it, or thinking you'll do bad, but I had the same thoughts when I made my first belt, and now it's one of my favorite pastimes. So I want to encourage anyone who's thinking they can't do it themselves to try. There's 3 (Counting mine, which has gone more-or-less unnoticed and is really rather different from the others) video tutorials out there, and one of them is bound to be helpful. Weird thing, though. Checking my YouTube views, I have 26 on my first video, 30 on my last, and most in between the two are in the single digits. Wonder why... Jaysin
I made this last night. It's for the backyard wrestling league I'm the head "writer" for. We just got an actual ring so we decided we needed a new name to reflect us taking it more seriously. Originally we were Underground Championship Wrestling. Turns out UCW is one of the most common names for a company out there hahaha. I LOVE how this turned out however. The new name is Championship Wrestling Revolution. http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e322/VenomousPrime/cwrdesign.png

hellshock70
Largest belt? A belt I've always liked from the 80's NWA Mid-South North American Heavyweight Belt: http://www.prowrestlingmidatlantic.com/05.jpg
Linsolv
My latest batch went over like a turd in a punchbowl, so out of frustration, I remembered that I had made up a few feds back when I was playing 05... and decided they needed belts too even though they never even made it into the database. However, funniest thing, first one I start, and accidentally get the coolest belt shape anyone ever done saw. As much as I was hoping to get another wall of belts so that maybe someone would notice me and give me the attention I so desperately crave, the strap's so durn cool, I'll be posting the belt as soon as I finish tonight. EDIT: http://i531.photobucket.com/albums/dd359/Sootmouth/Belts/GCWCanadaBig.pnghttp://i531.photobucket.com/albums/dd359/Sootmouth/Belts/GCWCanadaSmall.png I included a "big" image of it, but I edited it while looking at the 100x200 size so that I knew how it looked small. Also, with the funny belt shape and funny plates, I decided to leave off any real "decorations." Also not totally sold on the font, but I didn't really know what I wanted from it. Also, I should be getting the chance to try using Illustrator CS4 in a day or two. So I'm planning on trying out a few things with that, I will probably put out a belt or two to experiment with Illustrator.
fullMETAL
Top Rope Belts made an Homage version of that belt. It looks pretty ace. hellshock70
Top Rope Belts made an Homage version of that belt. It looks pretty ace. You can't tell by this pic but it's a huge "5" plate belt and here is a link to topropebelts version which shows the other plates http://topropebelts.com/gallery/trb-remakes/mid-south-north-american-championship/attachment/northamericanii_013-r50/ here is all the details from the maker himself: The price is $2895. The reasons are: 1. It is a huge five plate belt. It basically has five main plates. 2. It is etched multiple times to achieve the look of the original belt, which was all inlaid brass. 3. It has 4 round plates and two long skinny plates. 4. The snap covers are the size of 50 cent pieces! 5. It is dual plated in both nickel and gold.
