Marcel Fromage
<p>Welcome to the Coastal Zone! Damn, that one’s already been taken! Okay, then simply welcome to my attempt at a TEW diary game for 2010 as I Get Into The Zone!</p><p> </p><p> First things first – I’ve always been really lucky to have a great following of readers in both my ROF and XWA diaries in the past (I’ll skate past the brief attempts at UEW and 21CW!). Hopefully many of those past readers will join me again here, as well as a few new ones. However, I appreciate that a) there’s a lot of great competition on the boards right now, and b) the format of this new venture will likely cost me a fair few readers.</p><p> </p><p> Basically this is going to be a website diary so that means clicking beyond this thread, which I know will not be everyone’s cup of tea. I did try to embed it in the forum but without success. As it stands, it's a link which will open up a new window, so you can always get back to the forum easily enough.</p><p> </p><p> To those who feel it is a click too far, I apologise now. But I really wanted to do something a bit different and to stretch myself further in a presentation sense. It’ll make me enjoy the diary more, and hopefully enough people will like the route I’m taking so that it becomes more than just a personal project. Of course, I’m not the first person to try and use an external website, but there hasn’t yet (I don’t think) been any really successful long-term C-verse games with this format.</p><p> </p><p> I will update this thread regularly, simply to say when there has been a change to the website and briefly what is included in that update. Expect updates every couple of days provided I can keep on top of it!</p><p> </p><p> A couple of final comments, suggestions and thank-yous…</p><p> </p><p> <strong>If you find an error, or a link that doesn't work, then please let me know so I can try to fix it. I imagine there'll be plenty of scope for me to make mistakes here, especially in the early going!</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> If you stumble across this diary when it’s already been going for a while, there is a part of the website where the history of the diary will be summarised. So you can always find out what has gone on in the diary before and jump straight in. </strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> If you wish to comment generally about the diary, my TEW save, or ask me anything else out of character please do so here in this thread as normal. It’ll help to keep it bumped at least!</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> If you wish to make a comment about CZCW, one of the shows, one of the wrestlers, or even vent your ire at one of them or the booker (i.e. more as an in-game CZCW fan), then please use the FanZone section of the website where you can post a comment. Of course, you can leave those kinds of comments in the forum here too. But I’d like to try and keep the one within the website as more of a CZCW fan-boy type of place.</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> I’ll be using some images from the WMMA2 game to boost things here, so special thanks go out to all the great artists who provided work towards that product. If I use any further renders, alts etc, credit will of course be given (and permission sought if necessary). </strong></p><p> </p><p> Ok that’s enough spouting for now. Oh, yeah, I guess you need the address…</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><a href="http://www.wix.com/marcelfromage/czcw" rel="external nofollow"><strong><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-size:14px;">COASTAL ZONE CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING WEBSITE</span></span></span></strong></a></div><p></p><p> </p><p> I hope you enjoy your look around! <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
The Celt
Great site Fromage, very pretty...just one thing; don't click on any of the history stuff as it caused my firefox to crash...violently.
Marcel Fromage
Great site Fromage, very pretty...just one thing; don't click on any of the history stuff as it caused my firefox to crash...violently. Damn it. I know it works fine with Internet Explorer and Safari here. Haven't tried Firefox. I'll try to look into it. Thanks for the heads up, Celt. For now - there's nothing on the History page to see anyway as it's blank. But Explorer and Safari should be fine. EDIT: I just downloaded Firefox and tried the site through it and everything worked fine for me. So I'm not sure what happened at your end. Marcel Fromage
Clicked on the history section, clicked "January", then I suffered a hideous death Did you try the Roster section too and did that work ok? Because those two pages work in pretty much the same way. I can't see what would be causing the issue. Sorry if it's causing you a problem but I need to know these things. Ir works fine on my firefox as well. Thanks for the clarification, Apu.
The Celt
You know what, it's probably that I had too many tabs open because it's working for me now. Sorry about that. Also; Bird Droppings: Get crazier

Also; Bird Droppings: Get crazier No problems. Glad it seems ok and thanks for keeping trying it. Bird Droppings ... yeah, I need to invoke the spirit of the bird! I will do (hopefully) as I go along; I just need to get a few basic points across in the early going!

mad5226
Quick question for ya man. I've been getting into web design a little as of late and was just wondering what you used to create it, obviously it wasn't HTML so I'm assuming JavaScript? Marcel Fromage
interesting presentation and really pushing the envelope. One thing though, how are we supposed to predict the cards? Patience, D-Mack, patience. All will be revealed as and when there is card to be predicted on! YES! YOU ARE BACK! OH YEAHHHH! But seriously. Yes! I can't wait! Really good to see an old supporter on board. Well, I'm intrigued. And that's all I can ask for at this stage! Wow that web page is just sick (in a good way)! I am not sure how you manage to out do yourself each and every time but you do! Holy crap that site rules. Very well done. And Marcel wins best presentation for 2010 ... Excellent look so far, and we all know your shows will live up to your lofty standards sir. Awesome site going to follow this Thanks for all the compliments, guys. Nice to know that it's gone down well and hopefully it'll live up to expectations. Quick question for ya man. I've been getting into web design a little as of late and was just wondering what you used to create it, obviously it wasn't HTML so I'm assuming JavaScript? Basically it's a Flash website created via a site called http://www.wix.com. I'm not really using any internet skill, as the work is pretty much done for you. They have templates, backgrounds etc and easy ways to add slideshows, paragraphs, links and such like. It's really a good site. All you need is an idea of good design. It's free to create the stuff, but you have to pay if you need extra space or if you want to put whatever you create in your own domain (or lose the couple of Wix adverts that are around the sides of my page). I've had a lot of fun (sad as that may sound) just trying things out and seeing what works. I don't have any experience of html or creating internet sites, which shows that any old fool can have a go and produce something half decent! Ok, just so you don't have to read back to the first post... COASTAL ZONE CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING WEBSITE It's not been updated yet though since yesterday so don't get too excited! TakerNGN74
Looking forward to this Marcel I hope that you can do better at CZCW than I can because I can't manage to book CZCW without it ever falling in size. The Site looks amazing and you definately have a reader in me! TakerNGN74

Marcel Fromage
Wow! Fantastic site, fantastic ideas, CZCW - I'm on board Marcel Are the full body renders the worker's heads stuck on bodies from WMMA? Basically yes. Some of the CZCW workers actually have full bodies done already in the WMMA game (Jake Idol, Jackpot Jordan), which gave me the idea initially, but for the rest I just chose some full bodies that I thought would be a good basic fit and paint.netted the head on. I also edited other bits (outfits in some cases, Remmy's painted nails etc). But yeah, I mentioned it in the opening thread of the diary that I was using some WMMA images and kudos definitely goes to all the artists on that project. Gives the workers a bit more life. And seeing as I'm pretty much retired on alt work with guys like you moving things up about ten levels (!) full bodies was just something different for the C-verse. Thanks for the diary compliments too, by the way. Good to see you enjoying the site. Not sure if you know this or not but when viewing the up coming card if I click on the CZCW part of the Battle at th Beach poster it takes me to your XWA prediction page Thanks for the heads up. When I was trying to sort the website out, I obviously did quite a few practice things and may well have missed the odd thing so am always thankful for being told of my mistakes. I'll head off and sort that now. Ok, every time I post something in this thread I'll keep the site link fresh so you don't have to look far. Here it is so that you can all go and make predictions for Battle at the Beach (and the link to predict is on the Battle at the Beach sub-site for those who aren't sure).
