Hashasheen
The Wanda Fish is an alt rather than a re-render; the 08 and 10 alt pic threads both have contents threads and Wanda Fish Glamazon should be findable via Ctrl+F in those threads. I believe it's in 08. You might want to ask E-V about his pics. Thanks, PS. I found the Wanda one.
sockpuppet
Have you changed your lighting up sockpuppet? I think you have, any chance of doing something more similar to what you did with Big Smack Scott? Those renders were so great and so prefect for the C-Verse. The only thing I've done differently is change from raytracing to deep shadow mapping to cut down on render time. Mayhap I'll switch back and return to 6 hour renders if it's having that much of an effect on the finished work.

Blake Trask
Nice render, jhd. Doesn't quite click for Flash for me personally (he looks a bit young), but I'll definitely be using that somewhere. : )

jhd1
jhd1, do you have the orange background on psd/png? I do, but it came in a pack of 70 backgrounds that I bought (for a small amount, admittedly), from Renderosity.

Any chance you could rerender one of your renders (e.g., the BSS one that celt was talking about) with this new setup and show them side by side? That would be the best way to see how much of a difference it makes

Now the age issue is addressed, I would only say that it looks a little thick-set for Flash... Could just be the angle he's at (think Flash is face-on in the default?). Maybe trimming down the width of the jaw a little? Or maybe Flash has been at the pizza with retirement looming?

fullMETAL
I use Poser's "Firefly" rendering settings, set it to the 75% preset, then go into the specifics, import from auto, and turn off Raytracing, sometimes even turning off shadows (if I use Displacement Maps then I turn rendering of them on). It takes about 20 solid minutes on my laptop for each render (without reusing the shadow maps), so higher-end comps should only take about 5 minutes. That would be the best way to see how much of a difference it makes Unfortunately, I don't have many of my older scenes saved due to a hardware failure. I did however redo Lilly & Rose with my old light settings. There is a slight difference, the images being softer around the edges and the shadowing more pronounced. http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l98/da_kine_brah/Renders/KateLilly.jpghttp://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l98/da_kine_brah/Renders/KateLilly-1.jpg http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l98/da_kine_brah/Renders/DebbieRose.jpghttp://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l98/da_kine_brah/Renders/DebbieRose-1.jpg Images with shadow mapping on the left, raytracing on the right. If I'm being honest I've got to say that I definitely prefer the older lighting setup. I think it also makes the colors less flat, in addition to everything else you said. Still, I'm only one man and if everyone has no issues with the new lighting, then hey, who cares about me

It's all up to you to decide if you want to spend the time on it, but it definitely makes for a better result.
