For some reason in my old diary I chose Yellow as my DeColt colour of choice. Here's some random pics from way back when :D

I did a bunch for my diary. The Frontier Combat Kingdom is down in the TEW08 Dynasty section. Folks say it's quite good.

 

What happened Young Guns? You used to be so close.

Self! You can do NO WRONG! These are all amazing, as always, and I hope that whoever does Steve DeColt can somewhat match the Awesomeness of yours..

 

 

One thing I was wondering though, could you grey up Dan Stone SR's hair a bit more, and maybe change his eye color, and mirror image the head shot or something, I just think that while just sharing the exact same features worked with the old pictures, with these super realistic renders, it just doesn't look right to have a few extra wrinkles and call him someone else. The changes could be very slight, nothing earth shattering, just enough to pretend he's someone else.

First off, there's an error there I'll have to change. The hair on the left cut should be greyer. It was in the full body, but somehow that detail got left out of the cut.

 

Second... Those pictures are both of the same person. I probably should have made this clear. That's Dan Sr in 2010 and Dan Sr in 1975. I already did my version of Dan Jr, and he looks quite different. Although as for which cut people actually use for which character, that's up to them. These are both intended to be the original Dan Stone.

DaLay didn't come out quite right, so I'll probably re-do that in the future. Toro came out looking way more goofy than I intended as well, but I kind of like it. Changed up the glasses on the Jamie Atherton render that I did a while back also.</p>

Rounder/Fatter/Squarer/less-long head? Robinson always struck me as a very sturdy fellow. Cool hair & beard though. Nailed it.

 

Speaking of frustrated, damn y'all for starting on the CGC guys. They're by far my favourite roster, and I'm itching to give them a crack... but I feel guilty working on other things when I've still got Victoria, Lucy & David to do. Curse you, Stone Family :)

 

I actually tried Ryan Powell yesterday, but hit a stumbling point with his ridiculous hair.

I think the DaLay ones look good and really like the Jamie Atherton changes. I liked the originals of Jamie too. Any chance you'd give Robin DaLay a chance since you did Dan? I've been giving him a big push in 2021 and I may just use one of those Dan renders. :cool:

@ jtlant and jhd: Do you two have like basic templates (and I don't mean the 3d template that the texture gets painted onto the area of) or something that you use for your mask textures? (you know, of the basic "eye holes go HERE...nose accents go HERE while ear accents go HERE...the mouth hole is gonna be THIS BIG..." etc. variety)

You 2 do very good mask work, and I hope my masks look that good within the next motnh or so. :)
