Just wanted to chime in with my two cents. I want to thank all the people who have done renders for this thread and made their work available to the community as a whole. It takes time, effort, and a lot of dedication to do this just to add to the TEW community.

 

Whether you like, dislike, or are ambivalent about some of the renders, the fact is these people are doing this on their own for no recompense and for that alone they deserve recognition and praise. And to be fair, some of these renders are so incredibly awesome they should become the default for the character ( I'm looking at you Emma Chase! Damn that was an awesome render!)

 

As for requests, I think that if there is something specific you want , pm the renderer directly and see if they are amenable rather than put them here, or use the thread for alt requests that already exists.

 

I concur. It's exactly why I often PM people with suggestions. It's not a request (well, usually :p) but just a way of saying, "Doesn't so-and-so's default render look awfully out of place?". I work with cover artists a lot so I know that oftentimes, all it takes is the planting of a seed in the creative cortex and wonderful things often happen. Many artists I know don't produce their best work on deadline or as a result of having to do it ("We need these storyboards by Friday and the concept pieces by Tuesday"). It happens organically more often than not, when you've got the freedom to decide the how, when, and what.

 

I mean look what happened when I PM'd Trell with a simple, "You fancy taking a shot at Suzanne Brazzle?" with nothing other than pointing out what I thought were the shortcomings of her original (and venerable) render.

Yeah well the thing is I thought that's what I thought I was doing, only I said it here in the thread rather than in a PM. I mean I'm not a renderer myself but I am an artist and I know specific requests are normally hard to meet. However at the same time I don't mind when people come to me with their own ideas because as you said Remi that can spark my own ideas.

I just wanted to post and say that I'm sorry if I ticked off any of the artists doing renders in this thread.

 

tried to ask artists who already tend to post multiple versions of their characters (like jtlant and Self) but the last thing i want to do is take what you guys do for granted. In the future I'll make sure I keep it to the altthread.

Started life as someone completely different, but now...

Different outfit from my Lindsay Sugar, but then I hate that outfit, so I tried something new. I've just noticed the poke through on the hair & glasses, so that'll have to be fixed some other time. I'm all tuckered out.

 

As I said before (and in doing so may have dug up some worms) if someone has requests for alts of characters I've already done, I'm glad to hear them. I like them best when there's a booking reason behind them. The Red Dragon request earlier was perfect. "I want to book him as X, but he's not Y enough". I don't want suggestions of 'what might look good'. I want booking ideas. I'm limited by my imagination. I see characters 1, maybe 2 ways. The community has different ideas, which is great, because ideally I'd want 4 or 5 alts per character.

Could you put a disguise on The Neptune Sisters please? They were ran out of KANZEN Pro nine months ago... But I want to bring them back as a masked/face painted team that will eventually dethrone Zoe Ammis (the woman that chased them off) from her seat as Champion and then unmask.

Self, that is a truly great Coco. I don't even care about the poke through. I'm gonna PM you an idea I just got (that outfit REALLY makes her fit the bill) and you see what you can do with it (if changes are needed for Lindsay or not, I dunno).

Would it be possible to get that one without the cross please? If it's too much of a hassle, it's not problem at all. I just really like the hair and facial hair/expression in that one a lot.

No, I don't count the notches.

My whining aside, what hair did you use on Valiant?
It's Michael's Conforming Long Hair and it's actually on sale right now.

This Emma Chase reminds me not of EMatrix Chase, but of Monkeypox's final imagery of Emma, where he had her dye her hair to join the Cult of the Grey Dragon.

 

Nothing short of amazingness throughout this thread.

I can't render to save my life but I applaud everyones' efforts. Not every rerender is to my liking but I appreciate the diligence applied.

Could I perhaps suggest a new "Kamike Christian Vars pic? The old one makes him look like such a 12 year old boy and he really is a god talent if you can contain his attitude backstage.

All of these rerenders are truly amazing and making TEW even more enjoyable....keep up the good work guys....

And also, I like both of the new sets of Strongs, but I think we need an ager for them, just to complete the set.

I've got a question for all the renderers:

What figures do you guys use for your renders?

I only ask as mine seem to have a different look from most peoples. I have been using Micheal4 so far, but there isn't a huge amount of free stuff around for it so I'm considering getting Micheal3, but will that vastly decrease the quality of my work?
