Im starting a game as a rebuilt NWA...set in January 2001...im struggling to think of a decent free agent to act as the owner....I would prefer to keep it somewhat realistic so no WWF, WCW, or even ECW roster members...any suggestions?

I'm going to try this mod, but i'd like to know if i can set the worker generation on since day 1, or if there's a specific date that would be better to do so. That part is blank n the database, hence my question.

There are a lot of future workers set to debut, but it really depends on when you random - as in, not real - workers to be added to the game. If you want them right from the start, then set it for that.

Yeah, i know, i was asking more in a way to know if adding them since day one would generate any problems to the database for excess of workers and so, and if it's any acceptable date to turn it on.

Well, the random worker generation is kinda random, so its going to affect each game a bit differently. Is having them added from the start and the game-setting on High going to unbalance the game? I've never seen that, and with a fairly large amount of workers available, it doesn't seem likely. After a couple of years, you could end up with a few newly generated random workers who are with bigger promotions, but they aren't going to be filled. Its quite rare to get a true top class worker come through randomly - you might see great attributes in certain areas, but limitations in others which will handicap them as a top worker.

so, even if i set it at high, i shouldn't have problems playing the game?

No, you should not have a problem.

The absolute worst-case scenario is that the game adds too many new, highly-skilled workers and it unbalances the game. Again, I have never seen that happen in the C-verse or a real world mod and I always have the New Worker generation on from the start and on High.

Thank you. That was very helpful! :)

Playing 2001 Jan (or at least preparing to) and I was wondering, are the momentum in WCW supposed to accurately represent how you feel those guys momentums where at the time or is it to try and add into the downfall of WCW? Same question about wages are these what you see as accurately representing or are they to add to the money problems?

As I said when this came out, this mod is excellent, and a crazy time to play in :)

The Rock leaving the WWE to do movies can't be directly replicated, but Genadi typically includes it as a Narrative - you may have to edit yourself at the given point. The growth of a promotion like TNA (which will debut at the right time) will be organic, so they may not hit the point of gaining PPV when they actually did.</p>

best Mod add ons

I am new to the forum and just wanted to know if anyone could give me links to any of the mods. I grew up with Georgia championship Wrestling on TBS has anyone took a crack at creating that era. I also like the WCW, WWF, WWe, ECW as well and of course now TNA or Impact Wrestling. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Bill

Hey Genadi,

Not sure if you're still updating this but I downloaded this only a few days ago to rekindle some nostalgia :)

The locations still seem to be missing a fair few areas (Tri State only has Connecticut, New Jersy and New York) and I also spotted that Steve Corino is on $20,000 per appearance with ECW!

Hope you get a chance to do a few tweaks to this because the data is superb, especially the balance of young (future) stars that are in the data files.

I love playing as WCW in this mod - so much so that I've purchased the game again (lost my license details from years ago, and have a new computer now) just so I can play this mod.

As for the stuff about bios a while back? When I was first playing TEW I admit I wanted detailed bios, but as I played this and WMMA3 more I cared less and less about them. When I'm playing a mod like this I pretty much know who everyone who is anyone is, and can remember what they were doing then. If not, there's youtube!

So, learned something earlier. I'm guessing this goes for both scenarios of this, but it goes at least for the January one.

When Genadi raised this one off of his 99 data, he left Scott Steiner listed as TV champ in the editor. This means if you try to reactivate the title, it automatically gives it to Steiner. Now, unless you want him to immediately have it, this is something to change, or something that if he ever gives this an update needs fixed.
