Viktor Yakimov vs. Jan Stuessen

West Berlin is a capitalist oasis, surrounded by the glory of Communist East Germany! And Jan Stuessen stands alone, ultimately, to defend it from falling behind an... Iron Curtain!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d12/JodoKastTRL/WBW/RedChabolov.jpgVShttp://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d12/JodoKastTRL/WBW/TheAryanBarbarian.jpg

Red Chabolov vs. The Aryan Barbarian

The Brotherhood are looking for another "Slavic dog" to make an example out of, to show Alexander Tomov an example of what his "superiors" are capable of doing to him. They found something close in Hungary's Red Chabolov (Red=Commie, obviously), who will now have the task of trying to proove The Brotherhood wrong. Will Chabolov fall be turned into a battered and bruised pawn of The Brotherhood, or is the youngster set for the upset of the year?

Fadzaev vs. Mike O’Reilly

A pair of imports face off, with the USSR's Fadzaev pitting his own classical precision against that of Ireland's on "rogue", Mike O'Reilly. Red or green: which is tougher?

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d12/JodoKastTRL/WBW/DieterBorg.jpghttp://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d12/JodoKastTRL/WBW/MagnusBorg.jpgVShttp://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d12/JodoKastTRL/WBW/KaiserGrund.jpghttp://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d12/JodoKastTRL/WBW/WolfgangLorenz.jpg

The Borg Brothers vs. Nicht Meir©: WBW Tag Team titles

Once again, The Borg Brothers and Nicht Meir have found themselves at odds. Both teams have agreed to put aside the petty attacks and face each other in the ring, with the WBW Tag Team titles on the line no less. The Borg Brothers have the size, the skill (well, Magnus does), and spirit of the sport... but Nicht Meir have the upredictability and total disregard for order! Will anarchy reign in Germany, or are Nicht Meir's lack of direction going to cost them the tag team titles in the face of the Borg Brother's industrial precision?

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d12/JodoKastTRL/WBW/BackbreakerSimpson.jpgVShttp://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d12/JodoKastTRL/WBW/SabraMan.jpg

Backbreaker Simpson vs. Sabra Man

Two of WBW's toughest, most classically skilled workers face off in a battle of the best on the mat! Both men have tasted defeat recently, and are set to take the aggression out on one another. Sabra Man has military training on side and fought in a war... but Backbreaker Simpson's quota for backs broken is behind schedule.

Sasha Pavlovic vs. Alexander Tomov©: WBW Heavyweight title

And now, WBW is proud to present, a feud dating back to the 1972 Olymics in Munich, West Germany... two men who have seen more than there fair share of encounters in the amateur wrestling world, for the first time ever, will face off in a professional environment, exclusively in a West Berlin Wrestling ring! On display is an example of true wrestling, manly wrestling, between two of the finest, legitimate grapplers walking the world today (and possibly of all time.) It is bound to be Alexander Tomov's greatest competition yet, much to the chagrin of Commandant Markus Maier.

Simpson finally manages to found someone on his own caliber and thus he picks up a win here.

Sasha Pavlovic vs. Alexander Tomov©: WBW Heavyweight title

Viktor Yakimov vs. Jan Stuessen

Taking it upon himself to save the rest of Germany from falling behind the Iron Curtain, Stuessen took on Russia’s Viktor Yakimov in a stiff, up close, battle. Relentless forearms, knees, and takedowns showed both men’s in-ring prowess, but in the end freedom reigned supreme as Stuessen hooked the arms and connected with the Munich Maul… only after an angry looking Spiros the Mighty appeared at ringside caused Yakimov to lose his focus.

In a bout that had a good crowd but featured terrible wrestling, Jan Stuessen defeated Viktor Yakimov in 5:40 by pinfall with a Munich Maul. During the match we also had Spiros the Mighty distract V. Yakimov.

Red Chabolov vs. The Aryan Barbarian w/Commandant Markus Maier

It took eight minutes from start to finish, but the match was really over about a minute in. The Aryan Barbarian absolutely manhandled Chabolov, using him as the unlucky participant in a “demonstration” of his true ability. Utterly dominated, Chabolov was finally finished with a well placed Barbarian Boot.

In a match that had an average crowd reaction but featured terrible wrestling, The Aryan Barbarian defeated Red Chabolov in 8:08 by pinfall with a Barbarian Boot.

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d12/JodoKastTRL/WBW/CommandantMarkusMeier.jpghttp://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d12/JodoKastTRL/WBW/TheAryanBarbarian.jpg

Commandant Markus Maier: Behold The Aryan Barbarian, the Ubermensch!!! Gaze upon the breathing proof of the German people’s natural superiority over all others! Even still, there are those who would deny the undeniable and twist the truest of truths into vile lies! I speak, of course, of the Slavic dog that used trickery and deception to steal away in the night what is rightfully ours like the thieving gypsy he is!

The Aryan Barbarian: Heil thieving gypsies!

Commandant Markus Maier: Alexander Tomov, on behalf of Deutschland, I DEMAND you show yourself! I DEMAND you relinquish your ill gotten title belt that you swindled away!

Generic Bulgarian music plays… which I have no clue what that could be. But it’s distinctly Bulgarian, and that’s what’s important! Unblinking and emotionless, Alexander Tomov appears at the arena entrance.

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d12/JodoKastTRL/WBW/AlexanderTomov.jpg

Alexander Tomov: Tomov is champion.

Commandant Markus Maier: NEIN!!! You are a swindler and a thief! Hand the WBW title over immediately, and The Brotherhood may yet show mercy, you Schwein!

Alexander Tomov: No, Tomov true champion. No face angry little man.

The Aryan Barbarian: Heil little man!

Commandant Markus Maier: I shall warn you no more, gypsy, to quickly learn your place in this world. We are the masters, and you are our dog! You will do as I say, and hand the WBW Heavyweight title over to your superior being IMMEDIATELY!!!

Alexander Tomov: No, Tomov is champion. Tomov go now, prepare for strong opponent.

As cold and emotionless as he entered, Tomov turns and exits the arena.

Commandant Markus Maier: Fine, flee you Slavic dog! But you can never outrun your inferiority!

Fadzaev vs. Mike O’Reilly

A solid display of technical wrestling… until the referee took a errant elbow to the face! Fadzaev immediately capitalized, locking O’Reilly in a painful submission while using the ropes for leverage… until Spiros the Mighty hit the ring, flooring a shocked Fadzaev with a series of hard rights! The damage done, Spiros roused the ref just in time for him to see Irish Mike locking Fadzaev in the Gallic Grasp, forcing a submission out of the Soviet.

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Mike O'Reilly defeated Fadzaev in 6:17 by submission with a Gallic Grasp. During the match we also had Spiros the Mighty run in and attack Fadzaev.

With the primitive beat of “Das Hasselhoffs” grinding its why through the PA system, the energetic duo of Nicht Meir start bouncing down to the ring. Eyeing a group of fans booing their arrival, Kaiser Grund snatches a rather large bratwurst out of one of their hands, spits on it, and tosses it violently back into the fan’s face. The mohawked madman continues to antagonize the audience as Wolfgang Lorenz bounds up to the top turnbuckle, microphone in hand.

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d12/JodoKastTRL/WBW/KaiserGrund.jpghttp://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d12/JodoKastTRL/WBW/WolfgangLorenz.jpg

Wolfgang Lorenz: I have to say this, THIS, is one hell of a view! I can see everyone in this arena from here. But you know what? I don’t have to turn my head to do so. All I have to do is look at any single robot clone in attendance tonight, and I’ve seen all of you. Now, I hope this finally “computes” (yes, he did air quotes), but Nicht Meir are all about bringing about a new order.

Kaiser Grund: MORE LIKE A LACK OF ORDER!!! ANARCHY IN GERMANY, WHOOOOO!!!!!

Kaiser Grund takes to kicking the guardrail… repeatedly…

Wolfgang Lorenz: THAT! My boy Kaiser wanted to kick the guardrail, so he did! And you know what folks? I want to kick the robotic asses of the Borg Brothers, see if I can’t dislodge the sticks out of them, and that’s exactly what I’m going to do.

Kaiser Grund: YEAH, ME TOO!

Wolfgang Lorenz: See? He gets it! Why don’t you? Is it because you’ve become one with The Machine, like The Borg Brothers? Just more robots screaming “*beep* *beep*, EXTERMINATE!!! EXTERMINATE!!!” towards all things different.

Kaiser Grund: *BEEP* *BEEP* EXTERMINATE!!!

Continuing his “beeps” and “exterminates”, both members of Nicht Meir begin performing The Robot… and having seen enough, The Borg Brothers’ music hits, and the All-German duo begin marching down to the ring, causing Kaiser Grund to finally join Wolfgang Lorenz in the ring… and jumping The Borg Brothers as they attempt to climb in through the ropes!!!

The Borg Brothers vs. Nicht Meir©: WBW Tag Team titles

While the Borg Brothers got the early jump thanks to Nicht Meir distracting themselves while performing “The Robot”, the punk duo quickly resorted to “non-conformist” tactics like biting, eye gouging, and running frantically around the ring doing a high speed version of the robot to even things up. Unable to comprehend anything other than “Destroy! Destroy!”, the latter tactic caused the Borg Brothers to chase Nicht Meir outside the ring… for a full ten count. After throwing a few sucker punches, Nicht Meir leapt the guard rail and fled into the crowd (and extending a rather rude gesture towards The Borg Brothers), the tag titles safely in tow.

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, The Borg Brothers drew with Nicht Mehr in 10:14 following a double count out.

Sabra Man vs. Backbreaker Simpson

A solid, if unspectacular, technical display with both competitors utilizing a decent array of holds and counter-holds in an effort to one up each other. Unfortunately, neither wrestler looked like they were really giving 100% in this one, with Sabra Man not trying hard enough the most, ultimately getting caught by a telegraphed Backbreaker from Simpson.

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Backbreaker Simpson defeated Sabra Man in 9:46 by pinfall with a Backbreaker.

There is but the darkness…

The silence builds to a deafening crescendo…

A long, dim spotlight ignites, casting its gaze upon the motionless figure of one man…

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d12/JodoKastTRL/WBW/AlexanderTomov.jpg

Alexander Tomov, his eyes transfixed on the floor below…

Slowly, his head begins to raise…

Slowly…

Slowly…

Rising…

Raisedish…

Raised.

His unblinking eyes fall inline with the statuesque behavior of his body. Never blinking… never… he peers out into the darkness, out into the eternity that was once West Berlin Hall.

Eternity lasts for six glorious minutes; all the preparation Tomov needs before the match.

Sasha Pavlovic vs. Alexander Tomov©: WBW Heavyweight title

Finally, Alexander Tomov met a man in WBW capable of rivaling his technique on the mat, and it should come as no surprise that a fellow former-Olympic wrestler was capable of doing so. Pavlovic seemed to possess the same cold, calculating focus that has made Tomov so dangerous, and neither man took their eyes off the other as they dazzled the West Berlin crowd with a brilliant array of counters, holds, takedowns, submissions, suplexes, many of which couldn’t be named by anyone in the arena.

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d12/JodoKastTRL/WBW/CommandantMarkusMeier.jpghttp://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d12/JodoKastTRL/WBW/TheAryanBarbarian.jpg

The focus wasn’t even broken when The Brotherhood decided to walk up to ringside, carefully watching the action up close. Finally, Pavlovic slipped up and allowed his leg to be snagged by Tomov. Without giving the Ukrainian an opportunity to free himself, Tomov immediately rolled him over and applied the infamous Burgas Crab (an elevated Half Crab), forcing his worthy opponent to submit.

In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, Alexander Tomov defeated Sasha Pavlovic in 18:09 by submission with a Burgas Crab. During the match we also had Commandant Markus Maier distract Tomov.

C

The Aryan Barbarian immediately climbs into the ring, stalking the winded Alexander Tomov backwards… and he turns around a split second too late to react to Commandant Markus Maier’s brass knuckled fist! The sickening shot flattens Tomov, who is busted wide open by the vicious shot! Blood trickles onto the mat as Maier stands over Tomov, performing his “certain infamous group of fascists”-style salute before kneeling over the wounded champion, lining up the brass knuckled fist for another shot…

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d12/JodoKastTRL/WBW/JanStuessen.jpg

And it’s Jan Stuessen! Jan Stuessen sprints to the ring with the German flag flowing behind him!!! He catches an off guard Aryan Barbarian with the end of the pole to the throat, and then does the same right between the eyes of Commandant Markus Maier! The Brotherhood both roll out of the ring in agony, shooting hateful glances at Stuessen as he stands triumphant in the ring, the German flag held high above his head!

A lot of people had a lot of different ideas of how things could've gone down, which itself was pretty cool. Alrighty, guess I can either get to work on getting the next card ready... or one of those special surprise "DVD Extras" I've considered doing.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> OH! And a HUGE thanks to those who nominated me for Rookie DOTM and to those who have voted for me. Really warms my heart to see people are enjoying this diary enough to give it mention. It may never be the greatest diary to grace these boards, but I'm having fun with it and clearly so are yall, and that's what is important. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Second OH!!! I always welcome creative criticism. It may miff me a bit, but in the end I tend to take it to heart and work to improve it. Double Dutch from my EWA diary, for example, went from crap to awesome when someone was kind enough to tell me they thought they were awful characters at the moment and why. So... if you think something isn't working, let me know and I'll see if I agree and a change needs to be made. Alternatively, just friendly "it'd be cool if..." type suggestions are also welcome. No guarantee I'll use them, but feedback is always healthy to have in things like this.</p>

Now the smaller members of both teams face off, with the wild, high speed brawling of Wolfgang Lorenz pitted against the traditional stylings of Magnus Borg. In fact, Tomov reported gave a "reassuring nod" towards the prospect of actually allowing Pavlovic to face him in a rematch in the future. This sign of respect from the champion is a rarety, but now Pavlovic faces off with the Greek strongman Spiros the Mighty, an opponent with a style he has next to no experience against. Sasha has the skill and the grit, but Spiros has more raw power than nearly anyone else in all of Europe. <p>Alabaster Livingstone vs. <strong>Sabra Man</strong></p><p>

<em>Alabaster won´t win until he has jobbed himself up to the card a little.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Backbreaker Simpson</strong> vs. Mike O’Reilly</p><p>

<em>Could go either way so I just picked who I liked more</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Wolfgang Lorenz</strong> vs. Magnus Borg</p><p>

<em>I fully expect their tag partners to face each other´s in next show and basic booking rules say that those two matches go 1-1. I assume Lorenz is the more talented part of Nicht Meir (not sure why though, I just do) so Nicht Meir gets this one via cheating and Borg´s get the next one (assuming there IS a next one:p).</em></p><p> </p><p>

Spiros the Mighty vs. <strong>Sasha Pavlovic</strong></p><p>

<em>Spiros is higher on the card so he would be logical pick but I can see Pavlovic getting the win after Iron Curtain makes their presense felt.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Jan Stuessen & Alexander Tomov vs. <strong>The Brotherhood </strong></p><p>

<em>Man this is definitely your hardest card so far this is another one that could go either way. I go with named team over random pairing as it gives Brotherhood a win over Tomov without the title changing hands.</em></p>

<p>Alabaster Livingstone vs. <strong>Sabra Man</strong></p><p>

<em>Even though Sabra Man is essentially a jobber to the stars, he needs to pick up a win now and then, right?</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Backbreaker Simpson </strong>vs. Mike O’Reilly</p><p>

<em>Perfect for the 70s that a BACKBREAKER OF DOOM is the most feared finisher in WBW.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Wolfgang Lorenz vs. <strong>Magnus Borg</strong></p><p>

<em>Flipped a coin. Like Zergon said, this will spillover into the next show as the other members of Nicht Meir and the Borg Bros. face off.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Spiros the Mighty</strong> vs. Sasha Pavlovic</p><p>

<em>Tough one to call. But knowing your feelings about Spiros Jr., I could see Spiros getting a fairly decent push here.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Jan Stuessen & Alexander Tomov vs. <strong>The Brotherhood </strong></p><p>

<em>Probably ends in DQ or other shenanigans. But since Tomov is the champ, I'd like to see the challengers pull one over on him, setting up another huge Maier/Tomov match for the gold.</em></p>
