Slowly gaining control of her power, Page finds herself fighting low-level street-crime in a make-shift costume, coming to her boss and father figure John Baker (Jeff Bridges) with her doubts about it (while not revealing the specific details). Alison Mack plays Jessica, a research assistant in LA who learns pretty early in the movie that she can manipulate water. From there we get the slow build of most superhero movies of her trying to perfect her craft, all the while going to Jeff Bridges for support. The villain in all this is played by James Marsters who plays Steven an engineer who makes a flame throwing exoskeleton. He decides he is going to use this to destroy his former employer. Jessica gets wind of this and vows to stop him, a fight ensues, good guy wins and bad guy goes to jail.

The Bottom Line is this is a decent movie with slightly below average production, and average acting. The storyline isn’t bad, but there is nothing unique about it either. This is simply just another movie trying to cash in on the latest craze (superhero flicks). It should do average at the box office, but won’t be winning any awards.

The Breakdown:

James Marsters – Completely average in his performance. He showed signs of life towards the end of the movie, but overall pretty forgettable.

Alison Mack- Fairly familiar with the superhero scene from her days on Smallville. Alison was very believable throughout the movie and showed a lot of depth in her role. I give her performance a solid 7 out of 10 and would like to see her in a similar role in the near future.

Jeff Bridges – Perhaps the star of the movie although his role was very limited, would’ve liked to see him more. He played the mentor role to perfection however, and came across as not only believable, but also very likable. Overall I give his performance a 8 out of 10, however due to the limitations of the role he may not be winning any awards.

The Effects:

Alison Mack now wants 40,000 per movie

Jeff Bridges now wants 60,000 per movie

Star Rating: 3 out of 5

Revenue: 3,500,000 (Due in large part because of the high demand for such films. A low marketing budget kept it from drawing in even more.)

Alphanax Films now has a budget of 4,360,000 dollars

Do you want me to do the review for Poisoning without the budget for production?

He added a production budget. Its just actor/director costs which are missing.

If you want to add the prices for actors you can review it now, but if not I will do it next time I am on my computer.

Anyway, Awards will be up in about 2 hours (unless anyother reviewer wants to do it a few hours later. I have the main bits typed up I just need to edit in winners).

Living as a recklus in Brazil for the past 15 years, the doctor has gone mad, creating a poison that can be released through the air. Through flash backs we find out that Xavier was abducted, made to watch his own family killed and put to work by an evil american terrorist Bob Dillen (Stacy Keach, machete, American History X).

With his mind in a craze from not only working with chemicals but also from being mentally and physically abused Dr. Xavier makes one last ditch effort to get some help, just three months before the "america ender" is released. Sending a message in a bottle across the ocean, it never reaches the coast. Instead being caught by a poor drunken ex army officer Steven Guile (Ralph Macchio, The Karate Kid, Beer League) while fishing. With only one month to go can Guile save the world like he always imaged he could before being dishonorable discharged (shown through flashbacks) or will he prove to be the loser his father always thought he was? (flashbacks) Is Dr. Xavier really a good guy?

I know I was in on this at the begining but I really don't know how much people are costing right now.. where can I find out? Okay I got it... But no one is currently listed.

Poisoned Superman Studios, whom many thought had left the movie business, comes back packing a big punch this week with their latest movie Poison. In it Erik King plays Dr. Xavier Charless a man who had been missing for years. Turns out he wasn’t missing at all he was actually kidnapped and taken to Brazil where he was working on an experiment that would destroy America as we know it. This movie has a little bit of everything in it, Action, Drama, Deception. Looks like Poisioned Superman Studios was willing going for the homerun here, and you know what they hit it. With a very unique storyline that keeps you drawn in from moment one, to great acting all around. This film is looking primed for award candidacy as long as it can stay relevant until then. The only thing this movie lacks is star power, and that may be the difference between the film being great or being epic.

The Breakdown:

Erik King (25,000) – This was by far the biggest role of his career, and you could tell from his performance. There were a few scenes were he just looked unsure of himself and almost in awe of his surroundings.

Overall Performance 6.5 out of 10

Stacey Keach (20,000)- Keach played his role as the lead villain well. He didn’t steal the spot light by any stretch of the imagination, but he was able to hold his own and deliver a solid performance.

Overall Rating: 6 out of 10

Ralph Macchio (25,000) – The biggest role of his career in a very long time and he showed he still had what it takes to shine. Macchio really commanded attention in this film and is said to have been a huge help off the set as well. This could very well be the film that brings Macchio back from the dead and gives him a second chance at resounding success in the business.

Overall Rating: 9 out of 10

Star Rating: 4.5 out of 5

Revenue: 7,500,000

The Effects:

Erik King now wants 45,000 per movie

Stacey Keach now wants 40,000 per movie

Ralph Macchio now wants 60,000 per movie, he'll work for half price if given a lead role.

Richard Donner now wants 150,000 per movie

Poisoned Superman Studios now has a budget of 7,955,000 dollars

http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o241/kr8_killer/oscar.jpg

Hello, and welcome to the second GDS Oscar Night. Tonight we celebrate the best, and worst, of the film industry. Later in the night we will find out who won the prestigious Best Movie, and which actors won the individual awards, but we start off the night with the infamous Worst Movie Award.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

The contenders for Worst Movie are:

“6 Chambers”, by Better In Than Out Productions.

“Race Strong” – The Kevin Faggot Story, by Rancid Redundancy Studios

and the notorious pair “Visions” & “Black Wayz” by noobyboy.

The ‘Winner’ is...

Black Wayz by noobyboy. Although this film never saw the light of day, it still gained a large amount of negative responses, which has lead to its ‘victory’ in this category.

The Top 3 Vote earners in this category were

1st. Black Wayz

Joint 2nd. Visions & Race Strong – The Kevin Faggot Story.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now that is out of the way, we move on to the more positive awards, and we start off with the Best Horror Movie. This award is all about the film that scared us the most, and meant we did not get a good nights sleep after viewing. The contenders are:

“The Green Sheet”, by Frisky T-Rex Productions.

and “Pilot”, by Just as Planned Pictures.

The winner is…

The Green Sheet. Although many film fans were initially sceptical of this films plot, it appears to have caused many people to sleep with the light on (and presumably burn green sheets.) Top 3

1st – The Green Sheet

2nd – Massacre

Ok, I'm new to this and it appears rules have been introduced over the many pages of this thread so I may have missed something. It's technically Monday here (almost 2 AM), so I'll post this and if it's ok, then it's my submission. If not, let me know if I need to change anything.

Eye Spy Studios:

However, their home has come to interest two thieves, Jeff (Gary Busey) and Bruce (Bruce Campbell).

The two break into the home, thinking it to be solely inhabited by Angelica, but soon are caught at gunpoint (airsoft gun, but the thieves can't tell) by Jim. He recognizes them from a TV show about most wanted criminals and knows they're wanted for over 60 home robberies in 12 states (the thieves keep having to move around due to Bruce looking oddly a lot like famed B-movie actor Bruce Campbell and therefore he sticks out). He bluffs them into believing the home alarm system can lock the house down and contact the authorities, guaranteeing the thieves are caught. Instead of doing that, he makes them a deal. For 1 month, they must live in the home's attic and perform tasks at Jim's request (including stealing cash for him). He also makes them wear (fake) sensors that will mark them as stolen property, alerting the police to their location if they don't obey.

Hijinx ensue as the various parties try to hide what's going on while the thieves plot their escape and perform petty thefts (and even try to earn money lawfully to avoid being caught).

The plot culminates in the thieves and Jim eventually becoming friends as Jim moves out with the stolen cash he has collected. He offers to allow the thieves to use his new apartment as their hideout, and they accept, until the real Bruce Campbell is falsely arrested for the thieves crimes.

Supporting Actress – Tina Fey (50,000)

Director– Kevin Smith (150,000)

Genre – Comedy

Plot – Widowed mother and local newspaper advice columnist Angelica Routh (Tina Fey) and her unemployed son Jim (Jesse Eisenberg) live a comfortable life in a large house after the death of Angelica's husband.

After a month of the thieves doing tasks for Jim & planning their escape they become friends with Jim and evetually move into Jim's new apartment.

Breakdown:

Although it says comedy it was like most comedies, all the very funny parts were in the trailers.

Kevin Smith: Even though he is good at comedies he helped the movie a bit and made some parts funnier then they would have been.

Bruce Campbell: This is Campbell's first major film roll in a long time, and he showed that, being plain at sometimes & not having a lot of funny moments.

Gary Busey: Same as Campbell, Busey also felt out of place a bit, being the oldest person in the movie yet being a theift.

Jesse Eisenberg: Eisenberg did a really good job in this roll, playing it perfectly. However he did not play as big of a roll he should have & could majorly affect the movie.

Tina Fey: The queen of comedy didn't have a big role in this movie & she showed it, barely getting laughs.

Star Rating: 1.5 out of 5

Revenue: $1,000,000

Effects:

Jesse Eisenberg now wants $50,000 to do a movie but will do a comedy for $40,000

Eye Spy Studios now has a $1,250,000 budget.

Sorry if i were to harsh or the effect is bad.

Whoo, 2 Oscars for things relating to my movie. This pleases me and almost certainly means I'll finally get another movie up later this week when I've got loads of free time and days off. Won't be the second part of The Crimson Mask story but it will hopefully be something awesome. Given I'm getting a lot of people on the cheap, I'm tempted to go for my gangster type movie next... antoher genre I'm not a big fan of so I'm hoping I can make a good one based on what I think would make a good one. :D

While reading the whole thread in order to see what this game's about I got the idea of making a spreadsheet that shows every movie ever made, sorted by production studios. It also shows a history of their bank balance. Here it is:

The mods should pm me their google email adress so I can give them admin rights.
